He is. It's some untranslatable character in Japanese that represents a reference to oneself, in that sentence where Tobi literally says: "I have the power of Madara." Semi-literally, I guess it would say "I, the founder of the Uchiha clan, have the power of Madara."

My thought is that Madara is using Obito's body (losing his original body from some event) and disguising himself as Tobi. The latest chapter suggests that Madara does not have missing eyes. Now, Tobi's mask covers an eye - the same eye that Obito asked to have transplanted. From experience of a one-eyed Kakashi (prior to gaining the Sharingan), that would be a combative disadvantage. Why cover an eye that is not faulty?

WHo said it was not faulty? Remember what happens when you use the sharingan alot?

That only applies to Kakashi because he does not have Uchiha blood. As for the Mangekyou, Madara's does not blind him because he has the Eternal Mangekyou - which is the ultimate Sharingan thus far.

Sharingan inherintly makes you blind. That is what Itachi said anyway

The Mangekyou Sharingan makes the user blind, from what I remember. Not the regular Sharingan. Kakashi asked Itachi if the Mangekyou was blinding him, and Itachi confirmed Kakashi's thoughts.

Mangekyou makes you blind. Tobi is Obito or Madara. Although...would Itatchi know about Obito?
