"Um... sure. I'm Isiah Arkied, pleased to meet you Lilly. Can I call you, Lilly?"

Isiah hadn't made too many friends within the Bendu. First because he was relatively new to the Order and secondly because most thought he was wierd or eccentric because of his orange hair. Now finding a reason not to actually read his book, Isiah thankfully extended his hand to shake.

*Marius closed the two books, and got up. He unsheathed his sword and walked toward the dummy again. He took out the stick the dummy was holding, and placed the sword in it's hand. He then assumed an Echani fighting stance, and attacked the dummy but punching it in the chest. The sword swung, and Marius dodged it, and quickly attacked the dummy by kicking it in the wooden head. The sword swung again, this time from above. Marius rolled out the way, and the sword stabbed into the grass and into the dirt. Marius pulled it out, cleaned the blade, and attack the dummy again. The sword came in an unsuspected direct, diagonally. The blade made contact with Marius' lower leg, and sliced midway through. Blood gashed out, and Marius collapsed to the ground.*

OOC: Are we all going to meander around and just do our own thing? lol

"Um... sure. I'm Isiah Arkied, pleased to meet you Lilly. Can I call you, Lilly?"

She turned her face to him, smile faltering as her eyebrows furrowed. "Lilly? Why would you want to call me Lilly?" Her features softened again and she put a hand to her chest. "I'm called Lillianne."

By looking in her eyes, he could see that she was confused. She did not understand that some prefer to call others by a shorter name, a nickname. Yet, she was not ignorant. Those hazel eyes held a deep understanding and intelligence about them. Her statement was as innocent as she was. She had misunderstood him, thinking he was calling her by another name and forgetting her own in the short time that they had talked.

He smirked as the Apprentice closed his book and decided to begin training again. It was always an interesting thing to see how others reacted to outside stimuli, possibly the only scientific thing that Darien enjoyed was toying with other people. It gave him a greater sense of superiority to think that he had influenced their actions.

While Marius went about his crazy way of training, he moved over to where the Apprentice Vanick, though he didn't actually know the name, was meditating, this time his look was genuine, he wanted to see what it was he was doing, having heard that there was a form that influenced a meditative state as well as the simple clearing of the mind. He had begun to immitate the form when he heard Marius fall to the ground.

He spun around quickly to see the blood coming from the boys leg. "Interesting", he thought. He started moving across the courtyard towards him, though not in an over hurried fashion fast enough to have at least been the third to the scene.

"Nicknames are just easier for me to remember. Sorry I'm not good with new people and for some reason I'm better if I apply nicknames to them, but if you want to be called Lilliane that is what you'll get. So, how long have you been here, Lilliane?"

Isiah had closed his book, a conversation was always more interesting than a dusty old book written by some guy over a hundred years ago. Especially if that conversation was with a particularly charming girl. Though he hoped he didn't get her name wrong on their next encounter. But that would be unlikely because he had never heard that name much.

((Marius is bleeding, his blade which he attached to the dummy sliced into his leg.))

*Marius rolled around the flattened grass. His navy blue tunic became a darker color blue as blood gashed out and splattered on him. He was holding his hand over the wound to prevent the bleeding, but the blood still came out. His face became pale white.*

"Oh," she said, bowing her head and pondering this new development.

Lillianne gracefully sat down upon the grass next to the young man and bent her legs behind her, placing the book upon her lap.

Pursing her lips, she chose her next words carefully. "Well, if you would like to call me Lilly, I guess that would be alright," she said and looked up, into his eyes.

The radiant smile returned to her face as she bowed her head again and traced the outline of the book sitting upon her lap. "Oh, I can't recall how many days I've been here. It seems as if they all run together. Each morning has the same routine with meditation, prayer exercises, training and so on."

She laughed as she began to recount her activities. "But, of course you know this already."

"Yet, everyone has been extremely nice here," she added hoping to not sound ungrateful. Glancing up at Isiah, she continued, "Master Rendar is most...diligent in his training techniques. However, there is a monotony that seems to suck the joy out of these halls. I long for the nights when the world is awake and dancing and singing us to sleep. It's like a new and wonderous world opening up and treading where they dare not during the daytime."

Realizing she might have said too much, she blushed and bowed her head again, shaking it slightly. "Forgive me. I've spoken out of turn."

Turning her face up again to meet his, her eyes studied his as she asked him about his time here.

"What about you, Isiah. How long have you been among the Bendu?"

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw one of the students down. Turning her gaze toward the figure, she began to see the crimson stain spreading upon his clothing.

"Oh, dear!" she exclaimed and immediately leapt to her feet, heading over to the man. Kneeling down beside him, she tried to get him to lie still and locate where the wound was.

"Hold still and let me see," she encouraged him calmly.

Turning her head back to the others, she called out to the students gathering. "Can someone please get one of the priests?"

Her fingers immediately began to apply pressure to his wound in an effort to staunch the bleeding and raised his leg up into the air to redirect the blood flow.

*Marius opened his mouth for his scream to come out, but none did. He noticed someone grabbed his leg and held pressure on the wound, enough to where it hurt him. His arms moved fast and quick in all directions as blood came out of his mouth.*

Mordecai was tense... very tense. He had tryed to read his book, but his eyes kept drifting away from the pages, to the girl sitting a short ways away, conversing with the firey orange hair. He felt elation when he watched her, and he couldn't help but wonder why he felt like he did. He had an idea of what it was, but it was an alien feeling. Deciding he would talk to her at some point, he looked at the man standing beside her. He was an impressive man, and it seemed he was well versed in the art of sword play. He noted he would spar with him.

But then the girl shot up to the suddenly wounded man. Farely taken off from the wounded student, and all thoughts of conversation left his mind as he rushed over to aid him. The girl's hand was pressing the wound, but that would do little. Tearing off a good strip of cloth from his robe, he moved it over the wound, telling the girl to press hard on it, as he moved into an inner pocket and produced a thick thread and needle. Moving quickly, he ripped the man's pant leg and pierced the flesh quickly with the needle, sowing a make shift stitch into the skin. It helped stop the bleeding until the priest arrived.

Sighing relief, he turned to the man to check if he was responsive, he was. Turning to the girl, he smiled an ackward, unrefined smile: "That should do for now."

*Marius felt a jolt of pain as another student, pierced him with a needle and wrapped cloth around his wound. The cloth held as a bandage, and the bleeding stopped. Marius looked up at the two who helped him, and then passed out on the ground.*

Lillianne was relieved when the other student had come to help, yet she did not believe that he was indeed okay. His color was that of the moonlight, definately not normal.

Gently, she patted the man's face, trying to rouse him. "No no," she said worriedly. "You need to get up."

She turned her face to the man who had come to their aid and plead with her eyes and tender voice, "please, we have to get him to a priest. I fear he has lost too much of his lifeblood."

Lillianne rose to her feet and tried to pull the man up over her shoulder, but she wasn't able to lift him up.

Isiah rose to the occasion and helped to lift the younger student, tyrying to do so as gingerly as possible. Well his good conversation with Lillliane was spoiled for now but doing some good would tip fate in his favor. The wound looked bad and just proved how careful you had to be even in training. The Apprentice held the wounded boy in an almost 'cradled' position, it was better than lofting the boy over his shoulder.

"Alright, know where any priests are at this time of day?"

OOC: Figures...leave the apprentices on their own to figure matters out for themselves. No better teacher exists but for real life experiences, eh?

*Marius slowly regained conscious after fainting. He looked to the man who was holding him.*

"Where is my sword? I need my sword!"
