As more soldiers poured out, Frolik grimaced. It looked like Specter had hit the leader, though.

The Sergeant nodded assuredly to Billy's advice. He let out a low whistle in Specters direction, then signalled for him to flank left, while Frolik went right. Rolling the cylinder of his trusty revolver around and seeing there were no rounds left, he took a handful from his belt and loaded them in. He only had a few left, so he had to make every shot as lethal as possible.

With Billy blasting down the wrath of the gods, and the Sergeant and Specter on either side, it was the perfect opportunity to finish the job. The soldiers were completely surrounded, and - probably - without operating weapons, and their commander wounded.

Frolik crawled his way out of the snug cover hesitantly, but picked up his speed as he made his way down the side of the hill to the side treeline. By then, Specter should be on the other side opposite to him.

Two of the soldiers spotted Uhura, and turned to fire on him. Frolik dispatched both of them with a pair of shots. However, he only hit them in the legs, and they'd be down for a while, but with some medical attention they will live. The team had taken enough lives for now, and Frolik didn't want to take any more.

Frolik held up a palm to Billy, signalling him to stop firing - for the moment.
"HUTTS!" he yelled out.
"YOU ARE COMPLETELY SURROUNDED! LAYING DEFENSE ANYMORE WOULD BE SUICIDE! LAY DOWN YOURSELVES NOW AND I PROMISE YOUR LIVES WILL BE SPARED!"

All that he said was completely true.

"They're dead Sarge. This is a perfect example of why you don't charge a defensive position from a chokepoint. However, there might be some left inside, as for out here though... well, the grenade should've finished things here."

Stepping out on to the field Specter turns towards Gamble's position. "HEY GAMBLE! WATCH OUR ASSES WOULD YOU?" Walking over to the Sergeant's position Specter takes the chance to switch out his grenade launcher for his shotgun attachment. "We should probably go take a look inside, we still have our objective to take care of anyways." Casually standing just outside the treeline, Specter waits for the Sergeant's response.

((ooc: "a look of sex"? dude, knock it off already.))

"You think you deserve the right to surrender? You sent you men into a slaughter house! They had no CHANCE AGAINST US AND YET YOU KEPT SENDING THEM!!"

Unable to keep his normal calm anymore, Specter yells in fury at the beaten and defeated commander of the Hutt forces. Drawing his pistol from his thigh holster he fires at her, aiming for center mass.

"How bout you die with HONOR like the rest of your men?!"

((Wow that girl is wild :CHappy ))

"Well, it looks like they ARE all blown to bits... "

Walking out of cover, Frolik yelled into the treeline to Billy,
"They're all dead or wounded, you can come down!"

As Frolik passed the entrance, the wounded woman in the doorway said some jabbering to him, about some hard things in her backside and naughtyness, but Frolik wasn't impressed.
"You couldn't excite a fly." he plainly said. While grabbing two pairs of cuffs from his utility belt, Specter fired at the woman, but she jumped and flayed around everywhere.. somehow; it was strange because she was injured.

Before he could react to any of the antics, the woman flashed a knife making a queer beeping noise at the feet of specter.
"BOMB!" he yelled.

Not able to do much else, Frolik flashed his revolver out like a cowboy action shooter and blasted out four of his five remaining rounds. Atleast ONE was bound to hit her; she was already injured.

Then he got ready to ran like hell.

((Raxus, I did my best to make sense of your post.. ))

Kicking the beeping knife back to its owner Specter turns and makes a mad dash for the treeline. Not satisfied to rely on her own tricks to work against her he reaches into his duster and pulls out two grenades. Tossing a flash and concussive grenade over his shoulders he doesn't even take the time to look back, instead continuing to bolt for the treeline.

Billy wasn't going to be moving anytime soon, whether the Sergent called him down or not. It wasn't exactly an order anyway, but more of an option. You can come down if you want. Well, Billy didn't want to. As it turns out, it was a good thing too. There were some more antics up there, with Specter firing at the naked woman at what appeared to be point-blank range. More exchange. A knife thrown? Grenades tossed?!?!

Gamble could hardly believe what he was seeing. If they didn't need the intel inside so bad, they may as well have just called in an orbital bombardment of the bunker. As it was, lives were just being wasted needlessly, by both sides. Still though, Gamble had an objective that he was going to make sure was met. He was providing a blanket of security for those two down there. If anybody else -was- stupid enough to try anything more with defunct blasters, he would have to lay them down before another grenade got thrown.

There was just -way- too much carnage taking place today. Way too much.

((ooc: soo saw this coming))

Having tossed the grenades he continued on to the trees and kept running. Over his shoulder he yells to his comrades, "you guys should start running!" Stupid hero loving greenhorns always loved to go out with a bang, so he could guess where this was going to end up.

As Specter drew further and further away from the bunker he began to slow down. Now trotting he made his way to the parked speeders and left.

Frolik only took a split second to yell something out,
"GET TO THE SPEEDERS!"
before he started running like an olympic gold medalist to where the speeders were stashed in the bushes. It wasn't really necessary, but he yelled it out anyways.

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKBLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Metal and dirt and grass and armor and more metal and dirt and grass and armor flew everywhere as the bunker was blown to a complete pulp. Frolik jumped into a cove of bushes, taking what cover he could from the flying chaos. Dirt and mud splattered all over his once clean, pristine white armor. His viewfinder had also been crushed.

He took a second to look back - there was no chance of them getting those plans back. But it was more of a lost opportunity to the Hutts than a loss to the Republic, as they could just make copies of the plans the best they could.

But for the Hutts, it was a incredible opportunity left in the hands of an unexperienced gung-ho Private and a handful of soldiers. With those plans they could have had a major advantage in the battles to come.

Frolik reached the three speeders, and one was gone; it looked like Specter had flown the coop. It was alright, though, he had played a part in preventing the Hutts get those plans on their grubby slug hands.

The Sergeant saw Billy walking through the debris of the bunker. He couldn't wait till he got to the speeders; he badly wanted to get off of this charred field and zoom back to Laressa and grab a beer.

Having ducked his head down and covering up with his hands and forearms, Billy felt the shockwave of the explosion as it ripped across the ground surrounding the one-time bunker. This mission had certainly not gone well. Again, the whole thing should've just been an orbital bombardment, considering the way things went down. Whoever their commander was must've been high on spice. Shoot, they -all- must've been high. Trained Soldiers didn't just run out into combat with inoperable weapons.

The Sergeant had yelled something just prior to the explosion, but Gamble couldn't make sense of it. He didn't quite hear him well enough, though he could tell to cover himself when he saw the Sarge and Specter running, booking it at full-speed. After the detonation, Billy pushed himself up off of the ground after a few moments, collecting his thoughts. The tactics of the opposing force had been... questionable at best. Eliminating your own ranged weaponry in the face of a smaller opposing force was certainly a less than desirable decision. Just didn't make sense.

Sheathing his rifle across his back, Gamble watched his step as he made his way towards the destroyed bunker. It was mostly rubble now, with a few small fires burning here and there. Picking through it, he began to look for any lives that he might be able to save. Being trained in SOLAG, he knew some life-saving techniques regarding first aid that would be helpful. No, they weren't permanent fixes, but it'd be good enough to keep them mostly stable until they were able to get them to a medical facility.

Glancing over at a tree, it was clear that the near-naked woman was beyond medical attention... or desire for that matter. Pushing over some rubble, Gamble saw a hand moving a bit, as if trying to remove some of the duracrete from off the person below. "Hold on... I'll dig you out," Billy stated with a tone of urgency. Calling out, he inquired as he worked to dig, "Anyone else alive in there?! Hello!! Anyone?!" Sweat beaded across his brow as he threw charred hunks aside, revealing more of the man wearing black and green.

Taking care of where he was standing and stepping, Gamble removed a large chunk of duracrete that had been cover the man's face. He appeared to be in pretty bad shape. Already, his face and head were beginning to swell as blood was streaming down his neck. "...help..." came another weak voice from Billy's left. More movement. Apparently there had still been men inside when the woman detonated the bunker. This one too was dressed in black and green as far as Billy could tell.

He'd have to wait though, Gamble could only provide aid to one person at a time. Having dug the first guy out completely now, he looked him over for the most serious wounds. The scratches would have to wait until the blood-flowing gashes were tended to. This man had a couple that appeared to be pretty bad. Billy had no choice put to place a tourniquet on his left thigh just above the knee, the wound to his calf rather horrendous. It'd be a miracle if he were able to keep it anyway.

After securing a pressure wrap to the right side of his abdomen, Gamble positioned him the best way medically possible, wound-side down and leg elevated. It didn't appear comfortable, but it would help him keep his blood. Giving the guy a light pat on the cheek Billy remarked, "Don't fall asleep on me now. Stay with me. Stay with me..." With that, he turned back towards the pile and began to dig out around the area he heard the other soft voice.

Speaking words of encouragement and remaining positive, Billy assured the buried man that he would get him out quickly. A weak, gargling voice spoke up softly, clearly having a hard time getting the words out, "Can't.. breathe..." Gamble redoubled his efforts, really chucking boulders aside as he tried his best to get to the man as fast as he could. Right now, he felt as though this man's life was his responsibility, and he'd be -damned- if he lost him now after all the carnage he managed to live through.

Uncovering him, the man was holding his chest and taking quick, shallow breaths. There was a look of panic on his face. Billy didn't have to ask him if his chest hurt; it was painfully clear. It was also clear that he was suffering from shortness of breath. "Alright now... calm down... take it easy... you've probably a fractured lung or somehow punctured your pleural cavity." Looking up into the man's eyes, Gamble added, "I can fix this." Giving him a reassuring pat on the cheek, he reached around behind him on his utility belt, retrieving his emergency first aid kit.

Pulling out a syringe, Billy commented as he uncovered the man's chest area, briefly cleaning off a spot as he made ready. "This'll hurt a' first, but you'll be able to breathe a whole lot better for it. Understand?" He quirked an eyebrow as he removed the covering from the syringe, now fully ready. The man's eyes were wide as he nodded, obviously worried about having a needle stuck into his chest but still wanting to breath oh so very badly.

Placing a hand to his chest, Billy counted down the two hard lines, aiming for the middle between the second and third. "Alright... here goes," he said quietly. Exhaling slowly, Gamble made the entry somewhat slowly, waiting for that pop. Upon feeling it, the man had been pretty tense, but soon began to relax as he felt the unwanted air leaf the cavity. His eyes rolled back as his breath came to him so much easier now. "Thank-you," he state softly, eyes half-closed as a sense of relief washed over him.

Giving him a light pat on the cheek, Gamble replied, "No pro'lem. Now le's git you moved an' don't go t'sleep on me, eh?" Checking him over and not finding any other life-threatening injuries, Billy helped him move over by his buddy, his left leg broken as well. Having checked them both for weapons throughout all of this, Billy turned his attention back to the rubble pile, still searching for life. There was little chance he'd find anyone else...

While Billy was tending to the wounded, Frolik tried to contact the Republic outpost near Laressa, fiddling with his mostly-damaged wristcomm to make contact with their allies.

"This is Sergeant Frolik Uhura calling Outpost One, I repeat, Sergeant Frolik Uhura calling Outpost One, can anybody hear me! Frolik Uhura calling Outpost One, is anybody there?"
All that Frolik could hear was static, until a raspy voice came over the radio - not because his voice has raspy, but because of the static. It sounded like a Sullustan.
"Ye, ye, this is Outpost One. How did the mission go? We got reports of a large explosion near your posistion, are you alright?"

"One of the Hutt soldiers self-destructed the bunker; there's no way either side are going to get those plans back. Hey, it looks like Billy found some who are alive.. hold on.. "

Frolik hopped on one of the two speeders and zoomed back to where the bunker used to be, powering it down just a few feet away from where Billy was looking for survivors. It looked like he had found only two.
"Are they going to make it?" he asked Billy, looked at the two badly injured soldiers. They had been victim of a foolish commander who sent them out into a bloodbath. The poor fellows.
"We've only got two speeders - I'll call a shuttle.
He picked up his comm device again.

"Outpost One, this is Uhura again. The fireteam is fine, but Billy found some survivors from the blast. We're going to bring them in. We are unable to transport them now with only two speeders, so we need a small shuttle here to get them back to the outpost. They're pretty badly wounded - and hurry! This place is starting to smell!"
The Sullustan replied back with assurance in his voice.
"Ok, ok, shuttle is on its way with medic,"

Frolik switched the comm off and went to help Billy.
"The shuttle is on its way.. I don't think there are any more survivors..."

"That damn little bitch.. it isn't these mens' fault they were killed," he said under his breath.

"There may not be, but I didn't think we'd find those two," Gamble responded as he continued to work the rubble pile, taking care of where he threw the chunks of duracrete. It was also difficult to tell just where he could place his feet. The debris was rather unstable, shifting on occasion as Billy and the Sarge made their way about it, calling and looking for further signs of life. So far, it didn't look good. Giving an exasperated sigh, Gamble glanced again towards the other two he had dug out, just checking on them.

Turning his attention back to the pile as he moved another chunk, Billy saw another hand... moving!! Calling over to the Sergeant, Gamble barked out, "Sarge, o'er here!! I found one!!" Digging with a sense of purpose, chunk after of chunk of duracrete went flying. Unfortunately, a number of body parts were in the way as well, having to be removed. Billy just hoped that the other two weren't watching as the remains of their comrades were tossed unceremoniously aside in the interest of preserving life. They should understand, but that didn't mean that their emotions would allow them to.

Finally uncovering the seriously-injured man, Billy noted right off the awkward angle of his neck. His hand hadn't been moving out of a sign or struggle for help or assistance, but rather a twitch or spasm of sorts. The man couldn't speak or even move other than his hand. His mouth tried to form words that wouldn't come, eyes wide open with a confused look about them. Billy couldn't help but feel great sorrow for him. Laying a hand on him as he was about to speak words of comfort and encouragement, Gamble noted right off that his hand touched something incredibly warm and wet.

Looking down, his hand was coated with blood. Eyes widening some, Gamble began to rip open the man's black and green suit. It came apart easily as parts of it were torn and shredded. His heart sank. A large metal pipe of sorts had penetrated the man from behind, probably his lower back on the left side, and had pushed all the way through, just barely protruding from his mid-section. There was absolutely nothing he could do for him.

Closing his eyes as he gritted his teeth, Billy stated in a voice chalked with anger and remorse at the same time, "I'm sorry." Drawing his knife, he shoved the tip through the man's chest, penetrating the heart and ending his life. Gritting his teeth as he ensured the blade went solidly through, giving it a twist, Gamble stated to the Sergeant, "We couldn't have saved him." With that, he withdrew his blade, wiping the blood of before re-sheathing it, and moved along to a portion of the bunker that seemed only mostly destroyed.

Commenting to the Sergeant as he dug about, Billy stated, "We might be able to recover some intel if we can find what's left of their motherboards." It wasn't much of a shot, but there was still a chance... at least to find something. Gesturing towards a wall that seemed to have a bunch of wires and such running about within, Gamble further stated, "Looks like this side here might've been where their consoles were, what with all this electrical an' data wiring running through these conduits an' such." Beginning to dig again, a few of the outlets sparked and sizzled, still 'hot' with power. Glancing over his shoulder, Billy added, "See if you can find where this power is comin' from. It'd be best if we could terminate it."

The Sergeant grimaced as Billy stabbed the blade into the man's heart.
"Two is, certainly better than.. none,"
Shifting his focus to the computers, Frolik searched around for some sort of input port, to hook up his wrist device to. A screen next to him connected to a mashed console had static like a broken television. Frolik searched the console for a port, while clicking a cable onto his wrist device. If there was ANYTHING to salvage, he would upload it to his wristpiece.

Fiddling around with the front of the console, Frolik ran his fingers over what looked like a port to hook a cable up to. He tried to stuff the other end of his cable into it, and with some luck, there was a clicking sound.
"Cat, I think I hooked up to this computer. Let's see what I can juice out of this."
Suddenly, a faint display lit up on the screen. Frolik could barely see it, with glare from the sunlight.
"Let's seeeeeee what we've got... uh, schematics... water supply.. tell me something I DON'T know!"
As if the computer understood him, a display popped up showing an image of a rotating Republic cruiser and a map of some sort with several dots and lines on it.
"HERE WE ARE! I got the plans! One hundred percent intact."
Frolik hit a button on the broken display that, in Aurebesh, read "UPLOAD".
"I've got the plans - those slug suckers will be reaaal surprised."
After searching for anything else valuable in the computers, Frolik shut it down, then went searching for a power supply.

"I think this is where they're getting their juice from," he said to himself, opening up a rectangular case with abunch of wires and switches. He blasted it with his revolver, sending sparks flying onto his armor.

The low hum of engines roared overheard - it looked like the shuttle from Outpost One had arrived. It landed just behind where the bunker used to be. The landing ramp slid down, and two medics ran down it, rushing towards Billy and Frolik.

"Let's get these men into the shuttle, quick,"

Billy was in a serious mood. No laughing. No jokes. No child's play. Nothing. Stepping over the rubble pile as he made his way towards the two injured men, he was going to help the medics lift them up and onto their shuttle along with Frolik. As he did so, he remarked to the Sergeant, "Sarge, the name's Gamble. Not Cat. I show you the respect to address you by your rank; you could at -least- return the favor, or have the common courtesy to address me by name." Looking over squarely at the Sergeant, he added, "This Cat shet ain't gonna fly though." And with that, he helped lower the one with the chest decompression down into the shuttle, one of the medics immediately checking him over as he strapped him down securely.

Retrieving the other Soldier dressed in black and green, Billy was tempted to ask the medic if he thought they could save the guy's leg, but then thought better of it. The Soldier could ask such hard questions himself of the doctor, who in all honesty, would have a better idea on the matter than would this here medic. Looking back over his shoulder at the one-time bunker, Gamble thought that it would've been nice to search their computers a bit more for anything else of value, but in all likelihood, there wouldn't be much. Couple that with the chance that reinforcements or a counter-strike team could be on its way right now and leaving real fast, quick and in a hurry seemed like a good idea.

Moving over towards the speeder-bike, Billy straddled the seat easily and retrieved the helmet that was suspended from the side. Pulling the straps from out the middle, he inquired, "So we gonna head out an' catch up with Specter now?" He didn't figure there was anything much else to do here. Krath knew they'd done enough already. Securing his helmet atop his head, Gamble cinched it tightly before starting up the speeder. Looking over at the Sergeant, he quirked an inquistive eyebrow as he awaited a response. Reflecting back, he'd learned a lot this mission. A -whole- lot. Upon their return, he'd jot a few things down in his personal journal.

"Sorry, I'm just glad we were able to recover these plans,"
Frolik stepped over a broken turret and crushed it under his foot as he helped lift up the second man into the shuttle, laying him down next to the other man. The paramedics seemed to be taking good care of him, so he left them to do their work, and walked off the shuttle with a weary pace.

The shuttle took off with the surviving soldiers, flying off towards Outpost One. The low hum of the engines was soothing, compared to the yelling and shooting and explosions that were going on just about twenty minutes ago.

Looking back over at Billy, who was already set to travel on his speeder bike, he answered his inquiry.
"No, he did his part. We finished our mission here. I don't think he's worth going after, and we are pretty low on ammo.. let's just get back to Laressa and call it a day."

Frolik trudged over to where the second speeder bike was, and mounted it while flicking some switches and controls on the dashboard. Revving up the engine, a growl emanated from the speeder, blowing some smoke out of the exhaust.

"We'd better get out of here before the Hutt retrieval shuttle arrives.."
Boy, will they be pissed, he thought.
Revving up the accelerator, Frolik pressed his foot down on the gas pedal, and zoomed off behind the shuttle. He was anxious to get back to Outpost One and get some refreshment. He smelled like crap, armor muddied, and his viewfinder smashed in two pieces.

And when get got back to HQ on Coruscant, he would demand a raise!
