Elidan stared at Ruzaan with disbelief while his friend talked. He didn’t expect that the other boy was going to say that he was brave or accept his apology so easily. The half-Annfyn had done something that went directly against the way of the Jedi Order. He believed that if he told it to any Jedi, they would be harsh with him, saying that he could easily fall to the Dark side.
However, Ruzaan seemed to be so calm and gentle. Hearing his friend talk this way with him, helped the half-Annfyn calm down. Perhaps he was overreacting about it and the Council would not expel him of the Order. Although he believed that he feared the possibility of the Togruta not wanting to be his friend more than any punishment that the Jedi could give to him.
“You are my friend, I wasn’t going to leave you to face danger alone.” he was very aware that the Togruta could defend himself very well, but this time Ruzaan had been knocked out. He really needed help. “But you helped me too. If it wasn't for your voice back there, I don’t know if I would have stopped what I was doing. Thank you.” even if he was more calm now, the Padawan was still ashamed because of it. He feared if it could happen again.
The half-Annfyn only noticed the white-haired boy when Ruzaan asked about him. Elidan turned to look at where the Jedi Knight had placed the child. He seemed to be so weak, his body was thin and his face was dirty. If it wasn't for the occasional rising of his chest, the Padawan would have thought that he was dead.
Closing his eyes, Elidan felt the Force around himself. He saw several luminous forms, each one representing the live beings around him. For example, Ruzaan had an orange colored light that was now emanating gentleness, concern and something more that he wasn't able to identify. The light that represented the white-boy was a pale purple, but it was so weak that the half-Annfyn thought that it could be close to disappearing.
Opening his eyes, the half-Annfyn turned to his friend. “Yes. It was him.” he wondered what the child had suffered while he was imprisoned. “He is so weak. I don’t think that he was going to survive if we didn’t find him.”
Then, Asadra and some of the Knights returned to the transport. The others were going to stay to guard the building until reinforcements arrived. They didn’t want to have the possible clues inside it disappearing like what happened with the machine. While the vehicle moved, Elidan remembered the mercenary that they were fighting against. “What happened with Sskok? Did he escape?” the auburn-haired boy was so disturbed by his anger that he had completely missed the fate of the Trandoshan.
