Hear Ruzaan praising him made Elidan blush. He wanted to continue arguing, saying that he only did it because the Togruta was in danger. However, this time he decided to accept it. His friend was still recovering and the auburn-haired boy didn’t want to make him tired with an argument.

I didn’t get hurt. The droid was busy approaching you, so I came behind it and attacked.” in the end, their plan really worked. Ruzaan distracted the droid and Elidan defeated it. However, the auburn-haired boy only wanted that the Togruta didn’t have ended on the Medical bay. Hopefully this would not happen the next time that they leave the Temple together.

The Knights that picked the droid said that it was a model from the time of the Empire, but it was heavily modified.” Elidan wasn’t surprised that this type of droid still existed, even a century after the fall of the Empire. The black market could be selling it without any problem. To be using this droid, the people behind the machines should have a connection with the market.

Before he could say anything else, the door of the room opened and a Quarren Healer appeared, asking for Elidan to leave Ruzaan to rest a bit. The Padawan nodded and when the older Jedi left, he turned to his friend. “I need to go now. When you are discharged tomorrow, I’m going to meet you there so we can go investigate what we collected.

After saying it, Elidan got up from the chair and walked out of the room. While he did it, the Padawan had the feeling that perhaps he should have done something to show Ruzaan how he was happy for his friend being well.

It always fascinated Ruzaan when people could look at a piece of technology, like a droid, and give an estimate about how old it was. Like naming different models of starships- another skill that Ruzaan largely lacked- he was always grateful when he was able to rely on the expertise of others for technological things.

Ruzaan would've gladly continued the conversation about their findings with Elidan, but one of the Healers shooed out the other Padawan before Ruzaan could get a word in edgewise. [See you tomorrow!] was all he managed, before his attention was monopolized by the Quarren asking him questions.

~~~~
That night, Ruzaan had difficulty falling asleep. His head felt fine- indeed, he almost went for a late night walk before remembering how that had turned out last time- and so it took him a while to realize what was bothering him and why he couldn't fall asleep. With a small sigh, he rolled over so that he was facing the door and now towards the empty bed next to him.
Elidan woke up early the next day. He struggled to sleep, being concerned with Ruzaan and with the mystery surrounding the machines. During the entire night the Padawan thought that perhaps he should have stayed with his friend on the medical bay. What if the Togruta decide to continue the investigation alone? He could get hurt without the auburn-haired boy being there to help him.
When the first sun rays started to appear through the window of his bedroom, the Padawan decided to go to the medical bay and wait for Ruzaan to be discharged. He knew that it was still too early, but he lost sleep. Elidan left his bed and dressed to go wait for his friend. While he did it, the auburn-haired boy remembered when they shared a room at the medical bay. It was a nice moment, when he had a friend to talk to during the night. He missed it.
Once he left his bedroom, the Padawan walked fast toward the Medical bay. Since it was still early in the morning, he saw few Jedi when he passed through the corridors. Some would look at him with surprise, after all it was strange to see a padawan awake at this time, the breakfast would only be in two hours.
As he expected, the Healers that were already at the Medical bay didn’t allow him to enter to see Ruzaan, saying that it was too early and the patient was still resting. Since he had promised to be here when his friend would be discharged, Elidan sat on a chair in front of the room where the Togruta was and waited.
Inside the Medbay, Ruzaan was getting antsy. Seconds turned to minutes and minutes turned to hours as he awaited the time when he would (hopefully) get discharged and would be able to run off with Elidan and continue their investigation. Maybe if he was any good with technology he could rewire the chrono above the door to move faster...
After what felt like forever the Quarren entered, completed their examination, and pronounced him good to go. Barely listening to instructions not to imbibe alcohol (he wouldn't) or operate heavy machinery (he couldn't), the Togruta gathered his few possessions and practically sprinted out of the Medbay; nearly tripping over Elidan's chair and leaving an exasperated Healer in his wake.
[I'm good to go!] he announced excitedly; it was growing easier to connect with Elidan through their bond with each day. He turned and dashed off, and it was only after he reached his first turn that he realized, with some sheepishness, that he wasn't sure where to go. [Where'd they take all the stuff we found?]
It felt good to be back on his feet, and back with Elidan.
In the end, Elidan had spent more time waiting for Ruzaan to be discharged than what he had expected. During the time that he waited, the Padawan thought about what they were going to do today. Yesterday, they had found several things that were left behind by the responsibles for the machine. There were the fragments that they found at the clearing, the crashed vehicle and the droid. All that needed to be analyzed by them, in an attempt to find some lead that could point them to the creators of the machine.
He wondered if only the two of them would be able to do it, they were only padawans after all. Elidan could feel the pressure of having such responsibility. What if they weren’t able to discover who was behind it? Would it cause the end of the Jedi Order? Master Voran would be so disappointed with their failure.
Before he could go deep in these negative thoughts, Ruzaan crossed the door. Through their bond, Elidan could feel how excited and happy his friend was. The Togruta even dashed off from the Medical bay. With a smile on his lips, the auburn-haired boy went after him, thinking how good it was to feel Ruzaan’s presence on their bond. It was comforting and he forget about the possibility of failure.
Elidan ended up not needing to run so much to catch his friend. The Togruta had stopped in the first turn, in doubt as to where he should go. “They put everything on the part of the Temple where the Jedi investigators work.” he explained, with a smile on his lips. “I’ll guide you there. They already dismantled the vehicle and the droid, so we only need to look at its parts.” he was grateful for it, being terrible with engineering and related things.
The Padawan was going to guide his friend to the room where the Jedi Investigators worked, but his stomach decided to remind the boy that he didn’t have his breakfast. Blushing, Elidan turned to Ruzaan. “Before going here, what do you think if we stop at the dining hall? We could pick something to eat.
[We have Jedi investigators? That's cool!] Ruzaan had never heard of that part of the Order before, but he supposed it made sense. Besides, it would be nice to have some older, more experienced Jedi helping on this, and Ruzaan was much more interested in the action and adventure part of this mission than the boring work of looking through the pieces of the destroyed droid.
Before they could get too far Elidan suggested breakfast, and both of Ruzaan's stomachs grumbled in agreement. [Good idea- I'm hungry!] As excited as he was to continue their mission, food sounded better right now. Besides, with the Jedi investigators working on things, maybe the case would be solved by the time they got there!
Ruzaan soon learned another benefit of having a mental bond with Elidan; he could ask his friend questions even if his mouth was embarrassingly full, which it was for much of their breakfast together. [What kind of Force skills have you learned?] he asked, practically inhaling his eggs, toast, and bacon.
After Ruzaan agreed to have breakfast, the two padawans walked to the dining hall. While they did it, Elidan explained to his friend the existence of the Jedi investigators. “Yes! They are really cool! It’s like these holoseries about crimes, even the room that they use looks like something from one of the CSI franchise.” the CSI: Coruscant was one of his favorite shows, the other titles of the franchise were a bit boring in his opinion. “These Jedi use intuition and connection with the Force to perform detective work and prevent crimes.
When they arrived at the dining hall, they picked their food and found an empty table to sit. Elidan noticed how Ruzaan was swallowing the food, barely chewing it. Jedi Knight Folma Hilgos, who was the nursemaid when he was a Youngling, would be mad with it. She always said that they needed to chew several times before swallowing.
Well, Master Voran taught me how to influence nature using the Force and how to use telepathy to talk with others.” while using telepathy was easier to do, influencing nature was very different and more difficult. He was still training this ability, so far he was only able to make some branches move. “Oh, Master Eressëa is also training me with other things.
And you? What Force abilities do you know?” he asked his friend, while he brought a spoonful of eggs. Telepathy was really a good ability. They could talk with each other without needing to stop to eat. “Later, we could share some teachings with each other. I could teach you how to use the Force to influence the plants.
The food was delicious. Ruzaan did his best to focus on Elidan's voice in his head instead of the delightful smells coming from his plate. He only half-listened to the CSI Investigation spiel, tuning back in around the time that Elidan was responding to his question about Force powers.
Telepathy was a given, and something Ruzaan was grateful that Elidan had taught him. It probably would take him a little more work to create one with a new partner, but by now Ruzaan knew exactly how to approach Elidan in order to establish a mental bond between them. Elidan also spoke about using the Force to influence plants, which Ruzaan didn't initially see as helpful until he wondered if such power might let him move the hazardous jungle roots away from his path.
Elidan then turned the question back to him, and Ruzaan chewed thoughtfully as he tried to buy himself some time to answer. With some disappointment he realized that there was very little that he'd be able to share with Elidan. [I can do a little Force Healing] he replied, referencing their rescue of Kift; that was one of his burgeoning skills. Another was telekinesis, but everybody knew Telekinesis, which left only one other tool in Ruzaan's arsenal- one that he didn't think that Elidan would find useful. Suddenly, his food didn't taste so good, and Ruzaan set his utensils down.
[I also apparently am very good at something called Sound Mimicry] he said, eyes flicking guiltily up to look at Elidan; given the fact that Elidan was mostly mute, Ruzaan thought it awkward to broach the subject of using the Force to augment one's vocal chords to make sounds. [It's something I'd been doing for most of my life without realizing it, back on Shili. It's what got me noticed as a Force-sensitive.]
That was a story in and of itself, but Ruzaan found himself wanting to change the subject; he felt awkward not being able to teach Elidan anything of use. [You ready to go take a look at the that the ISC Coruscant people found?] he asked, his previous inattention plainly showing as he mixed up his acronyms.
Elidan noticed how Ruzaan’s demeanor changed after he asked the Togruta about what Force abilities he knew. Was he embarrassed because he only knew Force healing? Seeing how his friend had stopped eating, made the auburn-haired boy feel a grip on his heart. “Well, you are better than me at healing someone. You didn’t pass out when we did it with Krift.” he said, trying to comfort Ruzaan. “Oh, I had an idea! Maybe we could train Force healing together! What do you think?
The mention of Sound Mimicry reminded the boy of his Master. Haldir was capable of doing it perfectly. “It’s really a cool ability!” if he could speak, Elidan would like to learn how to do it. Then, he remembered that he could speak when he was with Ruzaan. “Maybe you can teach me how to do it, since I only talk when I’m alone with you. Perhaps using a different voice could help me communicate with others.” Master Eressëa used this ability this way, maybe he could do that too. “In exchange, I can teach you how to influence nature.
A smile would appear on Elidan’s lips, after he heard Ruzaan confusing the acronyms. “It’s CSI, not ISC. CSI means Crime Scene Investigator, a person who investigates crime scene evidence. After we finished the investigation, we could watch it together. I think that you will like it! My favorite episode is when they went to investigate the death of a vendor inside an abandoned building that was full of traps. ” while thinking about this episode, a smile appeared on his lips. The Togruta would be able to feel the excitement of his friend.
After he ate what remained of his breakfast, Elidan rose from his seat and guided his friend to the room where the Jedi investigators worked. The place was full of machines and other things that were used during investigations. Even after visiting there yesterday, the auburn-haired still felt impressed with this place. The Jedi had dismantled the vehicle and the droid, spreading their parts and leaving signs with their names and other information.
In a corner of the room were the droid’s parts, while in another was those of the vehicle. The Padawans would stop in the middle and Elidan would turn to his friend. “So, where do you want to start the investigation?
Ruzaan was taken aback that Elidan was showing interest in learning Sound Mimicry from him, and furthermore felt his cheeks tingling at the other Padawan's admission that he only talked when around Ruzaan. Ajan Kloss had been years before Ruzaan joined the Order; Elidan had apparently warmed up to him quickly. The Togruta thought back to the transport ride that had brought them to the temple in the wake of their droid encounter, remembering the care with which Elidan had cradled his head. Now, the tips of his montrals were burning; Elidan wouldn't even need the Force bond to know that the Togruta was feeling both pleased and more than a little embarrassed. [Deal] he managed to send through their Force bond, before needing to hide his face behind a napkin as he pretended to need one.
His rush of feelings gradually waned through the explanation of CSI vs ISC, and he was finally ready to speak again when Elidan asked where they wanted to start the investigation. [Let's go to see the droid pieces and stuff] he replied. [Maybe that can help us determine our next steps?] If Elidan agreed, Ruzaan would put away his dishes and follow after his friend to the investigative rooms.
Elidan could feel Ruzaan’s embarrassment through their bond. He wondered if it was because of him correcting the Togruta when he said ISC rather than CSI. The half-Sephi feel a bit sad because of it. He didn’t want to make his friend feel this way. However, he soon also felt that the other boy was also feeling pleased. It was strange, how could he feel these two conflicting feelings at the same time? And more importantly, why was he feeling this way?
After his friend said that they should start with the droid, Elidan walked with him through the Jedi Investigator’s room. While they passed through it, the two would be able to see the machines, equipment and other things that were used during the investigations. The auburn-haired boy really felt as if he was being part of an episode of CSI: Coruscant.
The pieces are there.” Elidan pointed to the floor in front of them. What once was a droid, now was only several parts spread on the floor. Near each one was a sign, with information of what each one was. “The investigators took the memory of the droid. They are going to see if there is something inside it that we can use.
He picked one of the parts. According to the sign near it, this was part of the head of the droid. Elidan brought it to a nearby table and left it there, before turning to his friend. “Yesterday, one of the Jedi investigators said that there could be some mark or number that can guide us to where these things were built. If we find it, we can go there and find other clues that can guide us to who purchased it.” he explained to Ruzaan.
Then, the auburn-haired boy walked to a nearby cabinet and picked two electronic devices that reminded small Datapads. He offered one to the Togruta. “These are a type of electronic magnifying glass. You approach this camera in their back to the object that you want to see and it’ll appear large on the screen.” he made a demonstration to his friend, showing to him how the surface of the table looked larger and more detailed through the device. “You can also control the size of the image with these buttons. Do you have any doubt?
Ruzaan didn't own many possessions, so his room was practically spotless. By comparison, the Jedi Investigator's room looked at first to be a disaster; pieces of metal and other evidence were covering the floor, with signage near each piece. To Ruzaan, it looked like mostly junk, but apparently investigations required collecting as much stuff as one could and figuring out what was important later on. It took the Togruta a moment to mentally piece together the remains of the droid, which were more or less grouped together. Elidan hadn't held back when taking it out. [Nice work] he complimented his friend.
Then, Elidan handed him a strange piece of technology and explained it to be an electronic magnifying glass. The device was a novelty to Ruzaan, who had never seen anything of the sort, and soon the Togruta was thoroughly distracted by making otherwise tiny things appear huge on the screen, all the while giggling to himself- "Small... big! Small... big!"- and drawing admonishing glances from the Jedi investigators in the room.
Ruzaan's admittedly childlike behavior was not without its benefits, though, and while he wouldn't recognize the significance of his find, it had the potential to crack the case wide open. "Elidan!" he called out, motioning for his friend to come over. "Take a look at this!"
After Ruzaan picked the electronic magnifying glass, Elidan turned to look at the part of the droid that he had chosen to analyze. It was thanks to the Jedi investigators that this piece was still whole. His friend could have said that he did a good job disassembling the droid and the vehicle, but he spent most of the time watching the others doing it. If he did it alone, he would break everything. He was terrible with engineering and mechanics.
The Padawan held the part carefully with his left hand, while he used his right hand to hold the magnifying glass. He moved the device, trying to see if there was anything that could help them find the criminals. If he found a piece of skin, hair strands and fingerprints would be perfect. With it they could search for the owner of it in the database.
Then, Elidan heard some giggling. Turning to where it was coming, he saw Ruzaan playing with the magnifying glass. With his hearing, the auburn-haired boy heard his friend muttering to himself while he played with the device. The Padawan stopped what he was doing to watch the scene.
It was obvious that the Togruta was having fun with it. While he watched, Elidan wondered how someone so innocent could also be so brave. Several times in the past few days, he saw Ruzaan facing danger without a second thought. His friend was always eager to protect others. The auburn-haired boy smiled, he had come to admire the other Padawan.
He was happy to be friends with someone so amazing and brave like Ruzaan. And he was cute too. Elidan meant it in a friendly way, of course!
His musings about Ruzaan were interrupted when his friend pointed out what he had found. Elidan used his magnifying glass to look at it and soon a big smile appeared on his lips. “This is a bloodstain! Probably left behind during the crash!” this was better than any hair strand or fingerprint. “It’s excellent Ruz! We can use it to find who was piloting the vehicle.” for some reason, he decided to hug the Togruta. Maybe to commemorate his discovery.
The first time that he hugged Ruzaan, Elidan was recovering after having fainted due to exhaustion and confused the Togruta with Zana. At the time, he wasn’t much aware of what he was doing. However, now he knew that he was hugging the other boy and it felt nice.
The hug didn’t last more than a few seconds. As soon as Elidan let Ruzaan go, he turned to walk toward one of the Jedi investigators. “I’ll ask them to collect the DNA and compare it in the database. Soon we are going to have some answers!” the Togruta would be able to feel how the auburn-haired boy was feeling excited with all of that.
"...blood?" Ruzaan repeated, his cheery mood evaporating into turning seriousness. "Oh. I just thought it looked a little like Grandmaster Voran from this angle..." Apparently, the crash had been more violent than he'd anticipated, and the driver hadn't walked away unscathed. That was a good thing, according to Elidan, and soon Ruzaan was wholly focused on the fact that Elidan was hugging him.
The half-Sephi was, Ruzaan had to admit, a good hugger, and the Togruta never passed up an opportunity to hug someone either. Ruzaan's rule of thumb was to hug and let the other person break contact (because he didn't know how long of a hug they truly needed in the moment), so he just focused on enjoying the embrace (which wasn't dificult). He could tell that Elidan was enjoying it, so he did, too.
While the hug only lasted a few seconds, the Padawans were informed that it might take several hours to run the DNA through the system to check for matches. "I'll contact you when our scan is complete" said the Jedi Knight, when prompted by Ruzaan for more details. Ruzaan was slightly deflated by how long the process was going to take- he'd optimistically assumed they'd get instant results- but it sounded instead like they had a couple hours to kill. Even after thoroughly searching the rest of the evidence, there was still no signal that the results of the DNA tests had come back yet.
[I'm bored] he said through their bond. [Got any ideas for how to pass the time?] If not, that was fine with Ruzaan- he could always meditate, or go for a walk- but Elidan's company was always welcomed and it was nice to have someone to spend his time with today.
After one of the Jedi investigators collected the sample of blood, the Padawans were left alone to wait for the results. According to the Jedi, it could take hours. Elidan felt a bit frustrated with it. The boy was so excited with this clue, because this meant that they were close to discovering who was behind the machine. He really didn’t want to wait for this answer.
When Ruzaan said that he was bored and asked what they could do to pass the time, Elidan had an idea. He pulled his Datapad and entered the Holonet. After he found what he wanted, the auburn-haired turned to his friend. “We could watch some episodes of CSI: Coruscant back in my room.” they could watch it in the garden too, but in his room they would have more peace.
If Ruzaan accepted, Elidan would guide him to his room. The place was well organized, with some old books neatly organized in a bookshelf. The few belongings that the auburn-haired boy had were in a writing desk. Due to being an orphan, he didn’t have many things and most of what he had were second hand things.
However, if the Togruta didn’t want to watch the series in his room, Elidan would walk with Ruzaan to the place where he used to stay alone. It was near the passage in the wall that they used some nights ago. There was a large tree, whose shadow would block the sunlight while they watched the series.
Whichever place Ruzaan chose, Elidan would sit next to his friend while holding his Datapad between them. The device was showing the pilot episode, where the members of the team of CSI met for the first time and were going to investigate the mysterious assassination of the aide of the Senator of Aargau. The half-Sephi already watched this episode and knew that the assassin was the Senator himself, because the aide was going to reveal that they were having an affair together.
They would be able to watch four more episodes until a message appeared on the Datapad. It was from the Jedi Investigator, saying that the result of the DNA exam had found a match on the Database and the result was being sent to them. “According to it, the blood was from a Trandoshan mercenary called Sskok Sves.” Elidan said, while passing the device to Ruzaan to read. “Apparently this guy lives in Coruscant. Do you want to pay him a visit?
CSI: Coruscant sounded interesting- how did the Rangers go about their official investigations? Elidan certainly seemed to know a lot about investigations, and Ruzaan figured that perhaps he himself could learn a trick or two from the show. He happily followed his friend back to Elidan's dorm, immediately relaxing now that he was away from the clutter and mess of the investigation room; Elidan kept a tidy place.
For the next two and a half hours, Ruzaan watched CSI: Coruscant with Elidan, gasping as every murderer was unmasked or case was solved. It seemed like every reveal was of someone met early on in the show's half-hour run time, which made Ruzaan wonder if the person behind this whole mystery might be someone he and Elidan had met shortly after the excitement had started.
Fortunately, the DNA match was to a mercenary based out of Coruscant that Ruzaan had never met before. [Do you think he's still on Coruscant?] Ruzaan asked his friend, thinking "out loud" through their bond. [If that's his blood from the truck, I'd guess that he's here on Yavin]. The thought chilled him; there could be a murderer around any corner! [Any idea where we should start looking for this guy?] Then, a thought occurred to him; an investigative technique featured in the second episode that they'd watched. [I wonder if he has GPS data on his transport!] It was unlikely that an offworlder would easily know their way through the Yavin jungle; maybe the transport had a record of where he had recently been... and where he was going when he crashed.
During the time that they were watching CSI: Coruscant, Elidan saw Ruzaan’s reactions to the show. He would give some gasps when the investigators revealed the criminal and stare at the screen more closely when the characters explained how the crime happened. It made the auburn-haired boy smile. His friend was liking his favorite show and this meant they would be able to talk about it. He always wanted to have someone to discuss the episodes.
However, discussions about CSI: Coruscant would need to wait. With the arrival of the results of the DNA, the two needed to plan what they were going to do next. “Yes, I don’t think that he would be in Coruscant, right now. He could have even fled to another place.” since they were alone at Elidan’s room, the half-Sephi decided to use his voice to speak with Ruzaan. “But we could still visit his house, maybe there is something there that explains these machines.
Elidan doubted that this Mercenary would be the one that created such devices. He probably was hired to move them around. Even then, if they could catch the Trandoshan, it was possible that he would confess who hired him and what the seven pointed star button that they found in the clearing meant.
When Ruzaan mentioned the GPS, Elidan stopped and looked at the Togruta. Slowly, a smile would appear on his lips. “Ruz, you are a genius!” an outsider would need something to not get lost in the forest. This was perfect!
The half-Sephi got up from his bed as fast as he could, nearly falling on the floor. “We need to go back to the Investigator’s room and ask them about it.” he said, already walking toward the door. “Even if we don’t find the mercenary, we can still find other clues by following the path that the vehicle used.
Ruzaan was slightly taken aback as Elidan's voice came out of his mouth and not through their bond, but as the other Padawan spoke, Ruzaan was reminded at how special it was that Elidan chose to speak around him. The half-Sephi even appeared to be picking up some of Ruzaan's traits, nearly tripping over the corner of the bed while on the way to the door.
Soon, the two Padawans had scampered back to the investigator's room, where the Jedi Knight they'd spoken to earlier was waiting. "GPS data shows that the transport frequented a place in the middle of nowhere about 25 miles to the West of the temple" he said. "It'll be a few hours before we can get a satellite close enough to survey the area."
The Knight looked first at Ruzaan, and then at Elidan. "I'd recommend waiting until you have more information- it's much safer- before going in, but since the operation was discovered they might try to cover their tracks or evacuate. In that case, it might be best to move on this intel as quickly as possible."
Ruzaan glanced over at Elidan; he wanted to go now, but going in without more intelligence was risky. [What do you think?] he asked his friend, mentally.
As soons as they arrived back at the room where the Investigators worked, the two Padawans asked the Jedi there to help them with the vehicle’s GPS. Elidan hoped that this information would guide them to the mercenary. If they captured the Trandoshan, the Order would be able to interrogate him, this way discovering who was behind the machine.
After some time waiting, the Jedi Knight from early finally returned with the results. If the vehicle stopped several times at the same place, this means that this could be the point that the mercenary was using as a base. If the Jedi went there, Elidan was certain that they would find more answers for the mystery of the machine.
While he agreed with theJedi Investigator that they should wait until more information arrived through the satellites, Elidan knew that they didn’t have much time. Would take much time until the satellites enter in position. If they waited too long, the Mercenary could flee. They needed to go there immediately!
When he heard Ruzaan’s question through their telepathic bond, Elidan already had decided what they should do. “Can you send the location for my Datapad? We are going now.” he signed to the Jedi Knight, who nodded in agreement. Once he left them, the auburn-haired boy turned to his friend. “If we wait, the Mercenary will escape. Are you prepared to go there? There could be a trap waiting for us.” while the Togruta had asked his opinion, he would change it if the other wanted.
Ruzaan didn't need to understand all of Elidan's sign language in order to understand that the other Padawan was of the same mind; the sooner they investigated the location, the better. [I'm ready] he assured Elidan, hoping that saying the words might make them true. He was both excited for a chance to redeem himself from the previous days' combat and nervous that he'd find himself overmatched again; this time much further away from help.
Elidan would be able to sense Ruzaan's internal battle- if not the specifics- through their bond as the pair requisitioned a two-person landspeeder to travel out to the location with. Ruzaan was happy to let Elidan drive; he himself was still fairly new to technology, and wouldn't have even known how to turn the headlights on. Instead, Ruzaan rode shotgun and fiddled with his lightsaber hilt; hoping that both he and Elidan would come out of this unscathed.
