NAME: Izumi Kanda
DESIGNATION: DELTA-102/B
ALIAS: Kismet
FACTION: EVE
RANK: Class B Scryer
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 26
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 5'8"
WEIGHT: 117 lbs.
EYES: Brown
HAIR: Black
SKIN: Asian
CREDITS: 0,000
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: None
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes
COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:
Tall, thin and in peak physical shape thanks to EvE's rigorous training regimens, Izumi would be the envy of most women until they found out what she did for a living. Her Curators payed special attention to detail in order to sculpt her body as femininely as possible, as seduction was often a potent card that could be played by Scryers in order to fulfill their missions.

Every scar she's ever received has been expertly erased by EvE's team of surgeons so as to make Izumi all the more difficult to recognize, so her most distinguishing feature would probably be her particularly long legs. They happen to be quite handy as well, whether it be to catch a man's eye or to snap his neck with a scissor hold.

PERSONALITY:
As a Scryer, Izumi has been heavily molded by EvE's Overseers and Curators in an attempt to make her the most efficient killer than she could be. She's zealously dedicated when it comes to achieving a goal, and she loves to improvise on the fly which can either lead to brilliance or recklessness. Obviously, Izumi is quite cold blooded when it comes taking out her marks, and she can be display superhuman dedication when a situation calls for it, such as waiting days to get a proper sniper shot.

Some traits, even EvE hasn't been able to hammer out of her. Izumi has always been rather fiery and impulsive as well as very stubborn. She learned the hard way that it was sometimes in her best interest to keep those facets of herself to a minimum, such as when dealing with EvE personnel, but when she's away from the base she tends to censor herself far less often.

LIKES AND DISLIKES:
Izumi's favorite activities are things that most people probably take for granted since they've been exposed to them all of their lives, but to her everything is still relatively new. Movies, eating out at restaurants, socializing with people, those types of things. She also loves traveling, exploring new places and experiencing cultures that were unknown to her firsthand. What most people who know Izumi are oblivious to is that - beneath the veil of the cold blooded assassin - she's actually a hopeless romantic. While it definitely clashes with her lifestyle as a Scryer and often makes things infinitely more complicated than they should have been, she would still never want to change that about herself

Naturally, Izumi despises the Hutts and anyone who would be willing to work for them. It would be rather impossible not to after all of the EvE propaganda that she's been subjected to. She's still on the fence about genuine Jedi, although she pretty much lobs most other renegade Force users along with the Dark Jedi as threats that should be eliminated. The one thing about EvE's practices which she's by far the least fond of - even more than mind scourging - would be how they kidnap infants and trick their parents into believing that they died. Even though she realizes that it's "necessary" in order to keep EvE a secret while maintaining their number of Scryers, Izumi's heart breaks at the thought of what those parents must feel. Perhaps it's some sort of deeply rooted maternal instinct within her that makes her feel that way, but she can't help but think that there must be a better way for EvE to go about replenishing its ranks.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Like all Scryers that have successfully made it up the ranks, Izumi is quite proficient in all forms of combat, whether they be ranged or melee. She's also slightly better than average when it comes to utilizing her psionic abilities, though not by all that much. She's excellent when it comes to thinking on her feet and adapting to unexpected situations, her talent for Precognition certainly having a lot to do with it.

Physically, she's very agile and flexible but obviously not the most powerful individual by any means. Izumi can still be a force to be reckoned with to most people through use of Psionic Strength, but most Scryers would have little difficulty overpowering her in a sheer test of strength. As far as her temperament goes, her hot hotheadedness can lead her into trouble and also makes it difficult for her to work as a team. She's of course learned to be obedient towards the leadership branch of EvE, but she doesn't like taking orders from fellow Scryers or - even worse - having to make up for their shortcomings. The lone wolf missions suit her much better.

Finally, she's very skillful when it comes to the art of seduction, but she's also very susceptible to it herself.

PSIONIC ABILITIES:
With the exception of Elementism, Izumi is capable of wielding every ability which is taught to Scryers with varying degrees of mastery. Her specialties are Precognition and Spectral Invisibility.

GEAR:
Like all Scryers, Izumi has most of EvE's arsenal at her disposal so that she can pick and choose whatever she needs in order to fulfill a particular assignment. Of course, she has her personal favorites which she uses whenever possible, and she also possesses some personal items that aren't included in Exodus Base's armory.

BIOGRAPHY:
As with all Scryers, Izumi had never truly known her biological family, having been abducted by EvE agents at such a young age that she was unable to remember anything from her prior life. In fact, Izumi Kanda was not the name that she was born with, but rather one which she chose for herself by combining names from a history book when she was eleven.

More specifically, the names were Atrisian. By comparing her own complexion to that of the average Atrisian, she guessed that there was a decent chance that she may have been one of them or at least one of their descendants. Seeking an identity of her own amongst her peers in the Praxeum, she appropriated herself a few things from their culture in addition to her name. If nothing else, it at least gave Izumi the impression that she was a bit more human and less of a pre-programmed clone coming off of a production line. As for her alias, it meant "destiny" in some very old and mostly forgotten language. It seemed appropriate considering what she was being trained to do.

Life in the EvE base was quite dreary and monotonous, but all of the Scryers in training were given excellent motivation to excel since they could only guess what horrible end might await them if they didn't. Even so, Izumi didn't hate life in the Praxeum, although she did find it dull much of the time. She figured that the best way to achieve some more freedom was simply to succeed in her training and advance to class B where she would finally be sent out on real missions, so she made that her primary goal above all else.

She trained almost fanatically, even dedicating most of her spare time to improving her skills, and it eventually payed off as she always hovered around the top ranks amongst the Scryers near her age group. Through the EvE instructors' teachings, Izumi also came to understand just how badly the galaxy was flawed and why Scryers were necessary. At the time, the revelation had inspired her to work even more diligently towards her goal, although she would eventually begin to question certain things years later.

After almost two decades of pain and hard work, she finally achieved her dream, which was to earn the title of class B Scryer and finally get out of the EvE base. The outside worlds were overwhelming at first, despite everything that Izumi had been taught about them, but she adapted very quickly. The fact that she loved every second of her field missions invigorated her and made her perform even better than she had in training, so her results were mostly positive. Taking full advantage of her new found freedom, Izumi made it a point to experience as many things as she could to make up for lost time.

Unlike the average citizen of a well-off planet, she was very acutely aware of both the galaxy's good aspects and darker ones, but she never lost hope on it or allowed herself to become overly jaded like many of the other Scryers. Gradually, Izumi even began to doubt some of the supposed truths that she'd been spoon fed, albeit secretly for fear of being sentenced to a mind scourging. Nevertheless, she continued doing the only thing that she knew how to, making the best of things as much as possible along the way.

You misspelled Division.

Why do I get a bad feeling that she might go rogue and try to destroy EvE?

I was thinking somewhere down the line, she might break away and leave EvE too. She needs moar brainwashin'.

If we had more members, we might in the future be able to make some sort of Scryer Rebellion or Civil War plot. The thought had crossed my mind. Hmm...

Anyways, nice character, O Hideous one.

Seriously though, I don't plan on borrowing anything from the show except for the picture of Maggie Q, I promise!

Oh, and thanks Xeno for accepting her. ^^
