^^As years went by^^
Leto Ruu grew up with her mother and brother.
Due to the Battle of Cathar in the Galactic Civil War, her ancestors left the planet and it wasn't until Leto was twelve that her family and a few others of the Cathar species went back to their homeworld.
She didn't feel welcome though and went back to Togoria, where she'd spent most her life. Her mother and brother staying behind on their ancestral homeworld.
Though she never grew up on Cathar or around many of her people, her family had kept the tradition of their people alive and followed them as well as merging the Togorian peoples practice and belief with their own.
This being said, the merger of the two lifestyles made Leto very good at domesticated household chores such as cleaning, cooking, and taking care of children. Both species monogamous and respective of their elders. From the Cathar side she was trained long and hard to become a true rival in close-range combat.
Leto is stern, strict, and though it takes a long time to see it, quite a funny gal. She can always make time for a good joke or simply anything to make another smile. Though she is good at close combat, she is not as strong as she'll make you think she is. Like all her Cathar kin, she has retractable claws, and her body heals at a faster rate than that of most other species.
When she was ten she had been mostly addressed by her last name, "Ruu" instead of her first. The moniker stuck to her like glue and it's never changed much since.
At fourteen she and a Mosgoth became close companions. However, being a woman in Togoria this was very uncommon and earned harsh criticism from the people of Togoria. This was also around the time that Leto had left her brother and mother at Cathar and returned to what she considers her 'homeworld'.
A Togorian named Thoran let her stay with his wife and their adoptive child, a small Kushiban named Kusuyk. They were a hearty family with a lot of love to give. Thoran and his wife devote to each other, and Kusuyk was a real spitfire with her fun and a bit too wild personality.
The Kushiban and Cathar butting heads due to their many differences, but in the end, they had a strong bond that they never quite understood and simply accepted.
Leto was much like the big sister, and muses in the thought that her sister, Kusuyk is younger though it's unknown to her if this is true or not.
After Thoran's tragic death when Leto was 18, the Kushiban took it much harder than Leto imagined. After a month of constant grieving the Kushiban disappeared without a sound. She'd left everything behind except her lightsaber.
After losing not just her lifemate and now her daughter, mom became distant and barely took care of herself unless Leto helped her do so.
This continued for six long years until just recently.
Leto has been re-contacted by Kusuyk after those six long years of silence between them. Leto's not about to pass up the chance to see what her sister needs after all this time apart. And oh does she have some harsh words for what the Kushiban did to mother.
