The conquering of Lothal had gone swimmingly but it had been a symbol for what was to come. It was time for the Mandalorians to secure means to supply themselves. The planet of Garos would be the target of this. It resided right next to Mandalore and had recently been suffering under strife. With the FWA's major loss of planets, taxes had been risen to support what had remained and put a strain on the populace. Not only that but the planet was quite far from the Core and out of easy reinforcement range, adding more to the strain and the questioning of why they remained in the FWA for their "protection" when they did everything themself.

Despite the rumblings, the Governor still lined his pockets with credits and continued on without a care. With the population becoming restless and the Governor appearing to not have a damn, it led to rebelling high-ranking officials turning to the Mandalorians for help. Both able to appeal to a self-relying nature in spirit, an alliance was easy to create between them. If the Mandalorians could help overthrow the Governor and his loyalists at the capital, the planet would pledge itself to their cause and support them in exchange for protection and being afforded more autonomy.

As a result, Clan Solus had answered the call leading this and resulting in Nox once more at the front. Instead of a typical entrance to battle, however, they used their allies' position to their advantage. The Rebels had snuck the Mandalorians into the city, resulting in handfuls of Solus stowed away on roofs of buildings that surrounded the Governor's estate, ready to descend once they were given the signal. There were more hidden throughout the city to help with the general battle as well.

Nox remained crouched behind some cover with that group, his pistol blaster already drawn and within his left hand as he waited with bated breath, his quiet whispers to himself dedicated to Kad.

Martial law was in effect in the city because of the protests, civilians forced to be in their homes, and thankfully part of the plan. They were doing this for the people, at least the Rebels, and that meant they needed to get out of the way. Soldiers were littered throughout the city, their allegiances unknown as the Rebels got into position for the surgical attacks. A portion of the Mandalorian fleet was ready to be called in as well once the battle begun to drive in the final nail of the coffin.

After his quiet prayers, Nox turned his head to peer at Dalair, How holding? The signal should be soon. Curious about his forge master's well-being. It was the first time he would see the Solus fight and he wondered how he felt.

Suited up in his beskar'gam, Dalair had been quiet for most of the movement to the Mandalorian's overlook. Unreadable behind the visor, the armorer didn't exactly seem nervous, but nor did he openly display the war fervor Solus was known for. Once they were in proper place, carbine in hand, Dalair spent time looking over their target.

Although his armor certainly didn't look like an armorer's it still belonged to one, evidenced by the meticulous care and presence of his Beskar war axe aside his sword. Dalair's helmet turned to look at Nox's as the man spoke, a two-second pause extending out between them.
"Holding strong," he replied simply. Even if he had doubts or nervousness they'd never show in his voice.

Armorers were spiritual and moral pillars for Mandalorian clans as well as crafters. His presence bolstered others of Clan Solus, and he could not waver. Such was the weight he'd chosen to wear. Dal looked back toward the Governor's estate, determining which angle was best to attack from, another way to keep busy while they waited. If anything was obvious about the man it's that he always tried to be busy doing something.

"Window?" he asked, indicating the large decorative glass panes he was referring to. Showing up in a shower of glass was a classic.

Crix was not blind to the damage that the Mandalorians could do to the Galaxy or to the Jedi Order - he really wasn't. But he would be lying if he said that they were an enemy he was itching to face. With his renewed passion for combatting the Sith, they were what he wanted to strike down... but it wasn't about what he wanted. People were in danger and he would answer the call of the local FWA officials and the locals who wanted to avoid answering the calls of their violent neighbours.

Rebels who claimed they were the true voice of the people and local officials democratically elected who said otherwise. It wasn't his place to say who was right and who was wrong - he was just here to make sure that the general population didn't suffer overly much. Did he think the Mandalorians would put the boot down hard?

It varied wildly and he disliked that more than anything else.

They were said to have honour but their leader murdered civilians in cold blood to make Sith-like displays of power. Working with Emilia was new for him but Crix didn't think they'd have a problem getting along. Still, waiting around while the governor and his military advisors had their 'war meeting' was not what he had in mind.

"I woulda thought they'd have had the sense to have a meeting like this in a bunker or something."
he muttered quietly so only his fellow Jedi could hear him as he eyed the windows, "At least they were smart enough to stay away from the windows."

The last thing this planet needed was to be thrown into further chaos by their governor taking a blaster bolt to the dome because he was too focused on the strategy and ignored a sniper. In his typical robes with both lightsabers to hand, Crix looked the part of the Jedi Knight, even if he was full of more nervous energy than he typically was.

"Five credits says we have to deal with an explosion inside the next hour."

Flippancy to hide his nerves and his clouded mind - just a bad habit he was taught.

Emilia was not exactly thrilled to be working with the Order again. Not because she didn't care about her fellow Jedi or the Order itself. She was just... so use to working on her own, and she felt that things were changing by doing this. She didn't like it. Maybe after this she'd ignore any comms from the Order, and continue forward with her plans with the zealousness she showed the Light Side.

Maybe.

For now she was across the room from and working with a Jedi Knight by the name of Crix. Emilia had been so disconnected from the Order that she didn't know much about the man. Still, as someone who felt like an outsider even in an Order she belonged to, Emilia choose to mostly follow the zabrak's lead and stay quiet.

Mostly because she was uncomfortable with the situation, she was in the armour she'd put together. It wasn't nerves exactly, but an uncomfortable feeling, which had put her on edge. Her Jedi partner outwardly seemed fine, but it didn't change the frown on Emilia's face. Emilia's hands remained at her sides with her shoulders rolled back. It was an stiff pose which got uncomfortable after some time, and something of a bad habit when she wasn't in her comfort zone.

At the question of going through the window, a hidden smirk would spread underneath the Alor's helmet before he replied, "You may want to hold on to that for a moment." Nox then lifted his chrono before he pressed a button on his comm that connected him to the rest of the Solus, "Get ready." A plan was already formed and he would have preferred his armorer not be blown up into pieces.

After a handful of moments passed, the assault would begin. Soldiers who had been patrolling together would suddenly turn on each other across the city. Bombs placed on critical bridges and airfields would be detonated as they would fall all under one sweeping stroke, clouds of fire and smoke stretching into the sky. The Mandalorian fleet that had been waiting would jump out from hyperspace, a handful of frigates and corvettes as fighters flooded out from the bellies. The small crafts would swarm over the city, targeting military installations and attempting to wipe out the resistance before it could even be mustered.

For the estate, mortars had been set up by the Rebels and with a signal given by Nox, they began to open fire on the building. The Solus would be able to hear multiple "thumps" echo from a distance. For everyone inside the building, it would feel as if they had been struck by an earthquake, knocking those unsteady to the ground as furniture and other pieces were knocked over.

"Now!" Nox would shout out for those around him and through the comm in a booming voice. One whole collective "OYA!" was let out before Mandalorians descended from the roofs to surround the estate. Nox activated his own jetpack and flew into the air briefly before he would land into the front courtyard with others, opening fire with his blaster on the guards that came out to greet them.

The Alor would push toward the building with the rest, a blaster in his left hand and a deactivated lightsaber in his right. His eyes would be peeled for anything as the battle had finally begun.

On Nox's command, the war-bound armorer launched from the rooftop, jetpack flaring to guide him into the manor's courtyard. His carbine fired as his boots hit the ground, stance wide, a guard struck down from a shot to the chest. Mortar fire rocked the target building and sent up clouds of smoke and debris, blaster bolts and the occasional wrist rocket flying back and forth through the air.

The Mandalorian assault was underway, and manor guards were little match for warrior supercommandos. Couching his carbine against his shoulder with one hand and marching toward the manor just behind and to his Alor's side, Dalair kept up the pace, firing at those who showed themselves. His demeanor was calmer than most warriors around him, surely, but no less zealous.

Armorers generally guarded the Mandalorian home front, but here he would fight alongside the Solus'alor. None would have the right to question the courage or ferocity of the badger's craftsmasters. Dalair's sharp eyes kept watch for new threats, visor swiveling like a hawk's head while the Mandalorians approached their target. If there were only basic guards, all the better for their attack.

But that would be boring, wouldn't it?

It probably said something about his time as a Jedi that Crix heard the muffled, distant, 'thumps' and his first thought was an artillery barrage.

"INCOMING!"

Getting the warning out first, he could hear the shrill whistling sound of inbound fire and he moved further away from the wall. As a static target, the walls were most likely to be hit first and he did NOT want to be standing near it as it exploded inward. The shaking that came from the massed artillery, some of them hitting very nearby and others. As the governor was being taken to a safe room deeper within the building, officers and soldiers rushed to take up positions.

Across the city the rebel forces would find themselves in pitched urban combat - they were not the only ones who had been preparing for civil combat after all and they would find the initial shock of the attack wearing off far faster than they likely expected. Military bases had been placed on the highest state of alert since the beginning of the social unrest and major infrastructure had dedicated patrols and guards - though none had been outright barricaded to prevent civilian panic.

In orbit, the planetary defence fleet focused on the heavier of the emerging Mando ships, allowing the landing crafts and fighters of the enemy to combat anti-aircraft cannons mounted on rooftops and ground-to-space fighters on high alert launched. Plans to have cannons placed on the moon had been scrapped, however, leaving the battle above to be far more of a scrap than intended by either side.

As soldiers manned the walls of the manor house, pouring fire down on the Mandos and rebels in the courtyard from both partial cover and an elevated position, Crix drew his lightsabers. His main lightsaber in his right hand and his shoto in his left, he nodded to Emilia as he marched toward the front doors at the head of half a platoon of other assorted guards and soldiers. The main doors to the manor slid open as one as Crix marched out to stand at the top of the stairs in front of the main doors, leading down to the courtyard, both sabers ignited.

"Mandalorians! Return home with your helmets on or laid out beside your corpses!"

The Force was rising within him, quick to answer as he built it within himself. The only reason he really gave them the option to surrender was because, even now, he didn't see them as the real enemy. No, to Crix the Mandalorians might as well have been made out of wood because they were clearly dancing on the strings of their masters.

When thumps started, Emilia braced herself and took a moment to distance herself from the walls. Obviously, they were under attack, so maybe the Jedi really needed an extra hand from her.

The Jedi Knight remained centered regardless of the turn of events, catching Crix's nod. She didn't nod back but she choose to follow his lead again, since there was no reason to change their dynamic right now. Even though deep down the strong lone-wolf part of her wanted to snub him and do her own thing. For now, that instinct needed to be pushed aside for the good of everyone here.

Emilia brought one of her modified lightsaber hilts to her hand and followed after Crix. Purple tinted the walls beside her as it ignited.

Crix lead her and the group of men towards the front doors. When the Jedi Knight stopped, Emilia did too. But, she didn't speak. She simply took in the view of the group in front of them with her cold, calculating eyes. She did not know nor care what Crix was saying to the mandalorian's.

The Force gathered around her quiet frame because she expected things to escalate quickly. Most things did in her world. Because she believed Light Side was built to deliver justice, and that's how she used it.

The scene had quickly become chaotic. For the guards who had made onto the top of the wall would find their own battle. With the Mandalorians having their jetpacks, they could access any position and the fire raining from above would quickly cease as they fought for their own lives instead.

As for on the ground, the battle quickly turned up in ferocity as the Mandalorians made a general push toward the manor. But as swords and blasters exchanged, a new sound would immediately seize Nox's attention as he heard the start of a lightsaber. Lifting his gaze to the top of the stairs, he saw the Knight that stood there, their signature weapon in each of his hands. It made him stand out like a beacon and one that would make him the target of the Alor.

As Crix was about halfway through the sentence of them returning home with their helmets, Nox would simply turn his blaster to stun with a switch before leveling it and firing. Three stun bolts would soar right towards the Jedi, each one a higher elevation than the previous with the third near Crix's chest.

Whatever the result, Nox would ready himself for a counter-attack from the sorcerers. He remained vigilant of what happened around him as the guards the Jedi had brought charged down upon the rest of the Mandalorians charging at them, committing the rest of the forces for each side.

Dalair's carbine swiveled to the pair of Jedi as they appeared in the doorway, announcing themselves with lightsabers and a bit of theater. The armorer switched his weapon to stun, waiting for a signal or sign of attack. Soldiers and guards joined the Jedi and without a doubt would add to the chaos by combatting the other Mandalorians in the courtyard. Dalair and Nox, however, were sighted in on the Jedi themselves. The armorer took special note of whatever weapons and armor he could recognize on them.

Nox fired first and Dalair joined in.

Shuffling rightward in his grounded stance, Dalair fired the first stun bolt toward Emilia's face and the second toward her stomach. Excitement from facing down one of the Mandalorian's ancient, sorcerous enemies filled him with energy and adrenaline. Still, he was cautious. As much as he preferred close combat, Dalair also wasn't about to start out by charging down magic monks wielding plasma swords.

He didn't stop speaking even as he was under fire - his blades were fortunately already at the ready. He did, however, take those shots as confirmation that he wasn't going to be dealing with the situation in a diplomatic way and rushed the end of the offer. Crix took a quick step to the left, closer to the edge of the stairs and the duracrete railing to avoid the first shot at his lower body.

The middle shot he brought his shoto in close to diffuse close to his abdomen and his main lightsaber he flicked out ahead of his chest to catch the bolt on the tip to dissipate it. Unfortunately for Crix, the Mandalorian knew well enough not to use blaster bolts but rather stun bolts instead. No returning them to sender... alright then, seemed he had taken that lightsaber he was holding the old fashioned way.

Keeping his shoto as close, defensive, cover horizontally in front of his torso, Crix beckoned with his middle finger on his right hand for Nox to come closer... sort of.

It was an invitation to come closer, to bring it, an insult with the chosen finger - and a motion to assist with focus.

Using quick and dirty Force Pull, Crix would send one of the head-sized decorative stones from the governor's garden flying towards Nox's back in an unguided motion. It was roughly aimed at this distance but it was aimed generally for the middle of his back - specifically for his jetpack. Mandalorians with a ready jetpack were an absolute menace to fight and he would very much like to avoid it. So it was time to see if he could utilize an attack from an unexpected angle to take that advantage from his opponent.

He almost regretted trying to smash the jetpack... he'd always wanted to tinker with one.

Emilia blocked the stun bolt to her face with her purple lightsaber's blade, then began to move quickly to the right to become a moving target.

She was further back than Crix so she wouldn't run into a railing if she choose to keep going the same way. Instead she'd be able to pivot behind cover of the doorway if she walked that far, if necessary.

While moving, she blocked the second bolt to her stomach and choose to focus on the mandalorian that'd sent the bolts at her. His armor made him stick out like a sore thumb so it wasn't hard to pick him out, likely how her lightsaber made her a target. She watched him, prepared for the next movement the mandalorian decided to make.

Dalair's target's guard was up, dissipating shots and moving to the side. His carbine smoothly swiveled to track her, continuing to shuffle rightward away from Nox all the while. The armorer seemed to have the Jedi's attention, but she wasn't actually doing anything yet.

Dalair's carbine stayed on target toward Emilia as his left hand abruptly dropped to his Python. He pulled the hammer back while quick-drawing, squeezing the trigger just after Nox's third shot. The armorer's third sequential shot flew at the Zabrak's center mass
(@Crix Aran) from diagonally to the side instead of at Emilia, the weapon's firepower boosted to heavy stun while its magnetic accelerator vastly increased bolt speed and kinetic force beyond an ordinary shot.

Aimed at Crix's chest and carrying enough power to physically knock him over if it struck true, a tight, one-handed block would risk knocking a lightsaber blade back to burn its wielder. With its higher speed, Crix would also have much less time to react correctly while focusing on what he was about to do toward Nox with the Force and a rude hand gesture. In short, an interruption, sudden surprise hat trick in the middle of an ordinary three-shot sequence like what Nox had opened with.

With the lady Jedi still within his line of sight, Dalair kept himself ready to react to what she might send his way.

Nox had dealt with Jedi before and he knew that it would take more than three bolts. While the Jedi pulled an impressive trick to disguise his force attack, Dalair's mag-accelerated bolt soared straight to his chest to interrupt. Whether it worked or not, the Alor had no intention to just stand and watch what happened.

After the third shot had been fired, he kept moving forward and specifically in a diagonal line, the rock whizzing past and smacking the steps of the stairs if it even was lifted. The Mandalorian moved and fired, two more shots let loose from his Peacemaker and from outside Crix's right shoulder after the mag-accelerated one, the first one aimed toward his right thigh and the second for his ribs on the same side.

Despite what happened, Nox remained on guard and aware of his surroundings and that a second Jedi still lurked around the battle. The Alor would be ready to react and counter to anything as the battle raged throughout the city.

As she'd been carefully watching the mandalorian that shot at her, Emilia finally used malacia on him while he adjusted his aim to focus on a different target (Crix).

The sudden, unexpected onset of powerful dizziness and nausea, she hoped, would stop the mandalorian's movement or make it sloppy. Especially if he was attempting to fire his gun again, she hoped it'd be near impossible to adjust suddenly to it and make a straight shot.

Young Emilia kept her guard up, and moving, but if her malacia had grip on the mandalorian she'd maintain it for however long was logical and safe.

Thankfully for Crix, his Pull was the effort of a second's thought more than some complicated Force technique that he had to actively focus on. It allowed him to spot that the second Mandalorian had been moving to his left and moving to draw his pistol - which would be to his detriment if the way the Force moved around his partner was any indication.

With Emilia's attack taking advantage of his shifting movement to enhance the effects of the dizziness and heavy nausea to make it all but impossible for him to stand, let alone draw, aim and fire true. To add to the man's issues, Crix was proactive - he burst forward a step and threw his left arm out forward even as he moved his right further to his right - closer to Nox's direction.

Throwing his shoto-saber horizontally at Dalari's lower torso as he was attempting to draw his pistol while under the effects of the malacia technique with his left hand and the Force, he would keep his main lightsaber in his right hand and turn slightly in his step to face the right slightly more as he released the blade, keeping Dalari in his sights but allowing him to better adjust to Nox.

The saber throw against such a disorientated opponent was far less of a gamble than throwing it at someone in full control of their senses, such as Nox himself. Speaking of the Alor...

Blocking Nox's first shot with the tip of a downward left-diagonal slash from his main lightsaber, which required him to stop moving forward suddenly, cutting short his planned continued movement toward Dalari. The second he blocked further up the blade by swinging that same saber back up in the opposite direction, catching the bolt against the blade at an angle that jostled his grip on the blade due to it's strength but he stubbornly held onto it even with the less sure grip.

Certainly not the best thing to be literally stationary when dealing with two Mandalorians but Jedi had been in worse positions before he was certain.

The two Mandalorians continued to pour down fire but the Jedi appeared skilled enough to keep resisting. With Nox seeing no reason to move from his position, he continued to put down fire as he reassured his aim. After Crix had thrown his shoto while dealing with the boosted shot, giving himself one less weapon to block with, the Alor would fire three more shots in quick succession after the previous barrage from Crix's right.

The first shot would come in for the Jedi's chest, the second for his legs, and the last one aimed for his stomach. The heavy stun bolts would create a powerful attack and one that would keep the Jedi pinned as he faced the unrelenting assault. Nox, however, wasn't finished and after firing his third shot, he immediately lifted his right wrist to fire a wrist-rocket.

With the rocket-propelled, this distance between them being that of only the stairs, and Crix facing both an assault from Nox and Dalair, there would be little time for him to do anything about it. The rocket would spear through the air and target the manor's wall behind him, as the stairs were right in front of the main doors, creating an explosion of shrapnel and debris to strike from the rear. Because Emilia couldn't see Nox from her position and vice versa, she wouldn't be able to spot the rocket until it was too late before she would have to deal with shrapnel and debris as well, offering a reprieve for Dalair if it worked.

Nox remained ready for anything, his pistol still at the ready and his whole body on the alert. Whatever the results were of the rocket, he prepared for anything.

Dalair's empowered pistol shot still went off, but off-center from where'd he meant it to be, whizzing somewhere behind Crix. What the dizziness did do was make him stop moving rightward, planting his feet in place where he stood to compensate.

Seeing the thrown lightsaber, Dalair released his carbine and dropped to his forward left knee to steady himself near the bottom of the lengthy manor stairs. At the same time he straightened his right arm toward the two Jedi- the arm with a wrist rocket- and immediately triggered a wrist control with his left.

Firing his wrist repulsor from his diagonal angle toward the lined-up Jedi and thrown shoto, intentions hidden behind the more obvious threat of explosives. A blast of kinetic force meant to knock Crix back to fly into the saber-brandishing Emilia and carry them both to slam into the sidewall and stair railing. Whatever malignant sorcery the two were enacting that made him increasingly dizzy, Dalair knew it took concentrated the blast and impacts should break. The shoto would also be deflected by the repulsor blast's path, careening off to ping against a bit of railing well away from the armorer.

It would ideally also knock both Jedi off-balance in trying to deal with Nox's wrist rocket, which would fly in right after the repulsor fired and make it even more difficult to deal with.

The mandalorian's shot went wide, missing Crix. Right then it appeared that Emilia's malacia took hold of the mando (@Mr. Teatime).

The mandalorian fell to his knee from the wickedness of the dizziness and nausea, then raised up his arm.

Because Emilia was still hyper focused on the mandalorian, the small Jedi noticed his movement. And she knew that mandalorian's had wrist rockets, so she reacted by switching her focus.

Emilia used the Force to push/force the mandalorian's rising arm to the right side while he was focused on the lightsaber coming towards him. This would force the mandalorian's push to go off on the side, uselessly away from the Jedi. Making it so the lightsaber (that Crix threw) would be unopposed, which would now be level to the mandalorian's upper chest since he was kneeling.

And, of course, she did not stop moving, not if she didn't have to. She switched it up and moved to the left, running while still focusing on the mandalorian. If the rocket from the Solus'alor went past Crix, it'd also be far away from Emilia when/if it hit the wall. Because she had plenty of time to move to the left while the Solus'alor was firing multiple shots at Crix.

While holding Dalair Solus's arm to the right if still needed, Emilia made her way to the stairwell. She wanted to move down the stairs to get closer to the courtyard, which would bring Nox, who'd be turned away from her, into view.

Crix liked to take gutsy chances - but nowadays he had the skills and experience to back it up. He was turned to Nox and his lightsaber was still poised. Adjusting his grip on the fly, Crix surged a step toward Nox as he started firing, entrusting the other to his shoto and Emilia. Batting the first shot to his chest to the side, it brought his saber low enough that he was able to bring it back up in time to intercept the shot to his legs.

But again, the impact against his blade was not inconsiderable from the rapidly-fired heavy weapon. It was enough that when he twisted to attempt to block the third shot, aimed at his gut, his arm was caught by the stun blast in the forearm as his blade moved slightly too much in his hand. Immediately his right arm became unresponsive and his lightsaber deactivated as it fell from suddenly limp fingers.

However, he was awash with the Force's energy and he refused to go down easily. Seeing Nox raise his arm, with the rocket clearly visible, Crix drew upon the mixture of raw power and experience he had with the Force and squeezed with his left hand. Just as the rocket was loosed from Nox's wrist it would be caught in Crix's grip and he would crush it with all of his might in the Force.

Within a second of Nox triggering the rocket it would explode, within a meter of the Mandalorian himself. As soon as he crushed the rocket and the explosion began, Crix would Pull his lightsaber the short distance from the ground to his left hand, activating it's blade as he stood up taller.

His right arm hung uselessly at his side but even with armour he doubted the Mandalorian would enjoy an exploding rocket much more than he had enjoyed the stunner.
