STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Locke is a good thief, and is quite dexterous and charismatic. He has a lot of untapped potential with the force, but doesn’t use it much. He has an above average intelligence, but he rarely applies himself, leading to him seeming less intelligent than he really is. However, he also is weaker than most in strength and constitution, leading to him avoiding most fights.

PERSONALITY:
Due to his past, Locke doesn’t like to let people close to him. He instead tends to act sarcastic and flippant, rather than actually talk to people. He rarely shows any emotions except slight amusement. He tends to act reluctant about things, even when he’s really quite excited about it. Despite his cold outer image, he is incredibly loyal to his friends, and fights against anyone oppressing the weak. He is a strong believer in freedom, and will fight to keep his, or anyone else's.

BIOGRAPHY:
Locke was born to a poor couple in Coruscant. His mother died at birth, and his father committed suicide. He was then raised by his uncle, who was an alcoholic and a drug addict. When his uncle was awake enough to realize that Locke was there, he beat him and sent him out to steal more drugs and alcohol for him. One day he was beating Locke especially hard, and Locke fought back, and killed his uncle. When Locke realized what he had done, he ran away.

Locke became a thief, stealing what he needed to survive and what he could sell to buy food. Eventually he became rather good at it, and when he was caught, he tended to be able to talk his way out of trouble. When he was especially desperate, he would steal whatever he could find and either sell it, or eat it. On one of these occasions he saw a jedi. He attempted to steal the jedi’s lightsaber, and was caught. Upon sensing his ability with the force he was accepted to the Jedi Academy.

Once there he endlessly mocked all the others and the training they went through. He mocked everything from the lightsabers to the force abilities. Despite this he quite enjoyed being part of something that was almost like an exclusive club. He enjoyed many of the aspects of his training, especially lightsaber training. Despite his enjoyment of it, he wasn’t particularly good at it, until he tried out Makashi, which he almost instantly understood.

Sounds like an interesting character. The biography is brief, which normally annoys the bajesus out of me, but strangely this one leaves me not wanting more from the biography, as such, but wanting to see the character in action. I can't put my finger on it, really.

Anyway, if you need help IC, or OOC with this character, let me know and I'll see if I can loan a hand to the cause. Before you begin RPing, just wait until GABA, Peter Targaryen or Master Maverick approves your character, and then you're set to start RPing in any of the temples (Tython, Empress Teta, Coruscant or The Light of the Force)

Not bad. A good Jedi.
Quite the opposite, in fact. Not bad, a bad Jedi. Stealing, mockery, laziness. Hardly qualities of a Jedi :P But definitely a great starting point with plenty of room for character development!

That's really good to hear. I was pretty worried about it, because I don't know much about the Star Wars lore past the movies, a few video games, and the Thrawn books. Glad to see I didn't make too many glaring mistakes. The biography was originally a few paragraphs longer, but it was tedious and really just went on too long. I shortened it and fit as much as I could without making it seem too rushed.

You think he's bad now, you should see his original draft. He was also a pathological liar with control issues who got bored very easily, along with how he is now.

Not trying to nit-pick, I do it a lot sometimes, but Force push would fall under Telekinesis.

It actually doesn't, technically speaking. Force push is a burst of energy, whereas telekinesis is controlled.

I was told by a few people otherwise. Looks like some people have been lying to me. :CStern

Well... wouldn't it be telekinesis anyway, since it involves moving things with the mind? A throw, a shove, a grip or crush is all telekinesis at the root. Even Mace Windu's force punch is a TK ability.
