Lom Tolsite was a male Pyke and a member of the eponymous spice syndicate that was operating during the ’Force Eternal’ period of history. Born on Kessel, a mining world in the Outer Rim, he was introduced to the Pyke Syndicate through his parents, both enforcers for the Syndicate already. Finding a position as an enforcer for the Syndicates operations on Kessel, he earned his trade overseeing the mining of illegal spice, for shipment down the Kessel Run and off into the wider galaxy.

By the time he was in his mid-twenties, Lom was promoted to the position of Administrator, overseeing one of the many mines on Kessel directly. He became well-versed in the logistics of bringing in slaves to operate the mines, and ‘motivating’ them to work, alongside building a good rapport with the various smugglers that headed to Kessel looking for shipments.

However, all this would rapidly come to its end when the Independent Systems Consortium invaded Kessel, bringing a quick conclusion to the long-standing dominance of the Pyke Syndicate over this profitable world. Fleeing the planet after the Hutt Criminal, Nor’baal Desilijic, slithered his way into the Governor’s Palace on Kessel, Lom fled further into the outer-rim, with news coming in each and every day that the Pykes were reeling from the attack that had taken their most profitable world.

With the mynocks circling the Syndicate, Lom and his fellow Pykes were forced to look elsewhere to restore their criminal enterprises back to their former glory, yet with a lack of leadership in the family following the disaster of Kessel, Lom and the others had to take matters into their own hands.

Personality & Traits

Lom was a Kesselite Pyke male, with blue eyes and the characteristic bright skin of his species. He did not have any hair and concealed his features behind the characteristic mask of his species. As a young man, Lom had been happy to follow orders and fit in with the hierarchy of the established order within his Syndicate, however as he got older, and the wider Syndicate collapsed, following the ‘Kessel Disaster’, during which time the families economic jewel of the same name, was taken from them, he grew more disillusioned with the way of things and thought that a more hands-on approach was needed.

In his late twenties, Lom began to realise that there was no escaping the changing face of the galaxy and that in order to make the most of it and to return to the opulent life he had seen his superiors live on Kessel, he would need to dive right in and seek out new markets. As such, he was an ambitious and pragmatic man, a fighter who did what he needed to do to not just survive but thrive.

Confident in his abilities, and that of his fellow Pykes, he was more than happy to enter the fray himself and protect the interests of his Syndicate and his family. Something of an isolationist when it came to doing business, Lom liked to keep the core aspects of the family business in house, working with Pykes as much as possible, and was sometimes dismissive of the concerns of those outside of the family. Like many other Pykes, he had a liking of narcotics, and was prone to making use of them as and when he could.

Skills & Abilities

Lom was trained in the art of Teräs Käsi from a young age. He could also wield a blaster. Loms’ skill with a vibro-blade was highly regarded, and he could hold his own in combat - although he lacked force sensitivity, meaning it was unwise for him to enter combat with those who possessed it.

Aside from his combative skills, Lom had a strong knowledge of the underworld and was able to manufacture various different types of narcotics with extreme ease. He could speak Galactic Basic Standard and Ryl, and could understand Huttese.

Equipment

A traditional Pyke, Lom makes use of the weapons and equipment that one would expect from a narcotics producer and trader - namely gear that could be purchased on the Black Market with reasonable ease.
