Hell yeah! These are awesome, guys. I understand it's coming up to Christmas, and on top of that I am restricted to my base-model kindle for now, so it may be a few days before we start this. Please use this time to VM me anything you want to do, OK? Thanks.

(Sorry for the double post)

What's the status of the Southrons, Corsairs, Haradrim, and Easterling? Are they on Morgoth's side?

And found info on the blues.

During the Third Age, Rhûn was visited by three Wizards; Saruman,Alatar and Pallando, and though Saruman returned into the west, the two Blue Wizards remained. Sauron himself journeyed into the eastward lands, in hiding from the White Council during the centuries known in the west as the Watchful Peace.

Blue wizards:

In F.A 150, Rhun (Easterlings) attacked the Dwarves of Erebor and the Men of Dale. They nearly made it to Erebor itself. So the Dwarf prince Nari led several hundred of the finest warriors of both kingdoms in a final desperate strike against the Golden Men. Here, Nari himself killed the king with his bare hands, snapping the human's neck. With their king dead, the rest of the army routed in a few minutes and were ran down. They've all been quiet, but yes, they have sided with 'Shade' in secret. Except for Harad and the Corsairs, who both remain neutral.

Blues will have a part to play, don't worry.

REMEMBER: MOST CHARACTER'S DON'T KNOW SHADE IS ACTUALLY MORGOTH! THAT'S A SUSPICION THAT CIRDAN AND THE OTHER ELF LORDS HAVE, BUT THEY CAN'T CONFIRM IT.

Ush, a question for ye! Would my character share this suspicion as:

A) He is chillin' with Cirdan and

b) He was around during the War of Wrath and such.?

So is harad mostly loose tribes and stuff in this timeline or do they have a semi-cohesive kingdom that would be able to send delegates and stuff to this summons?

Also, would you have an dwarven kingdoms or cities to suggest who would send people to this meeting?

The kingdom under the mountain, Moria, and the blue mountains are three I can think of. Oh, and the glittering caves of aglarond.

Not Moria, yet. That's the one we're going to do to get the Dwarves to help us.

Ben, I'd say it would be better if no one knew about Shade being Morgoth except for the Elf Lords. I want everyone to be shocked when Cirdan announces his suspicions.

Harad now has an Emperor, but it's a bit like the Holy Roman Empire. There are still bickering kingdoms and city states and old tribal struggles within it.

Sounds cool. XD Did they give up south gondor yet or are they still trying to hold onto it? Also, figured it would be a lot of tension between near and far harad, not sure if they're even the same "culturally" to co-exist as one empire well. lol.

What's the emporers name, out of curiosity?

The lack of Men is disconcerting. My original plan was to make an Uruk-Hai, but I'd regret that if the campaign only had one member of the glorious master race that is humanity.

So Human it is.

I'm probably gonna make a haradrim archer if that's any consolation. So two men, hazzah.

He's just 'The Golden Emperor'. Calling him something else is an actual crime in the Empire.

So, this is losing momentum and with Ush temporarily gone I am wondering if anyone wants to get the ball rolling for when he gets back. Thoughts?

EDIT: I also can't fully peg my character until I know where this whole thing lies! D':

As in start the thread? We could do, though i'm inclined to perhaps give Ush another day or so. In the meantime, might be worth clarifying who's in. Confirmed so far we have;

Defenders of Middle Earth
- Thain Elbro Took II (Norbaal)
- Agrippa Serapio (Suspect32)
- Thanguron Half-Blooded (GreenRanger)
- Hurin Peredhel (Wit)

Forces of Melkor
- Annast (Alhon)

I get what you're saying about wanting to know the plot direction before posting a character, but I think it's been outlined in sufficient detail for a rough profile for the moment. The first chapter is essentially going to be a Council of Cirdan, and I envisage most people's opening posts will be them leaving where they are now or travelling en route to the meeting (except me, who will be leaping from bushes to stop you getting there ;) ). If you're already there, then you can chill with Cirdan yeah? I'll send a few PMs and clarify whether people intially interested are wanting in, though we don't want it TOO big.

Not really sure which of Hulkero's four characters he's going with, or indeed whether Ush plans to control the thread through solely NPCing, or also have a character.

Alhon, I was referring to the RP as a thing itself rather than the contents of its plot. If this going to be short and too the point, I don't want to spend a lot of time on the character, if it's longer, I will. Hence why I don't want to post before seeing where things are being taken and by whom.

Right, I see. Personally, I can't really see how this could be condensed into a short RP, but then I suppose it will depend what everyone else's view is, and their willingness to stick around in the long term.

That is what I am getting at! I would love a good meaty one, but whether it will turn out that way is another barrel of fish. :CSly

Indeed. Surely there's only a certain amount we can tell before starting though. We may just have to roll with it and see where we end up. ;)
