Honestly, I think there needs to be a Vicar appointed by the staff (al la NPC'ed council of Elders), and then the Vicar appoints a military Commander, and we fix the faction.

I'm not a fan of the idea of appointing yet another faction leader, but I'm inclined to agree with you. However, I would prefer to wait until this coup thing ends, because I would rather not screw around with anything that's going on and risk messing things up. Doing so would be, in my opinion, unnecessary staff interference in a situation where anything could happen.

That said, however, a discussion in the staff board did start a few hours ago on the possibility of appointing a Vicar, but as I said in that thread I don't want to choose or announce anyone until after this revolution thing ends for the reasons I stated above.

What would you have done with the faction?

Not send the majority of the entire fleet to take on a much larger fleet head on for starters. You start out slow, annoying some transport for a specific planet you want. Keep it from getting it's supplies that has to be shipped there. That staggers the economy, which in turn hurts the republic as a whole if one planets economy drops.

You then send in various spies to the planet your interested in. When you feel you have as accurate an amount of info you're going to get, you blitzkrieg the planet if possible, send in a bunch of bombers to take out any orbital defense platforms first in 2 carrier squads that would overwhelm those platforms. Then you send in the capitol ships wipe away whatever resistance is there, and start a blockade of the planet till the general populace can be put under control.

Once that happens you begin building a little bit of operations there, this would be a planet the republic would be slow to look at. Perhaps an agri planet, something small but that would be a good jump points for other targets of interest but would not inquire the full wrath of the republic. This would require maybe less than a third of your whole fleet so if something went wrong drastically you would not loose your whole ****ing fleet in the first stage of operations.

100% Sure that I could have done better honestly. I had planned on assassinating his charcater as well. But my plan couldnt have possibly had a chance of causing huge civil war, or completely ruining the faction. If this took you four months to plan, then uite honestly, I feel that you should be in specialized classes fr people who have trouble understanding basic things.

The plan that you guys are using at best, couldve taken ten minutes to come up with, and that is you were half asleep. Unless it is going to have kind of super hidden ultra special awesome amazing effect that amkes everything work out just fine ^-^.

Bleh, I dont even know why I am being like this. I honestly think that the only real reason that I left your name out is because I dont like you. And you would then be the only person in existence who I dislike. You did make some good points though, and I shouldnt let feelings seep into my posts.

If they(and maybe Ruukil since he too is there) keep things under wraps and silence witnesses and such, they can easily cover it up with something else.
