I would rather be considered the "Strategist" for the group, that's Cuyan's biggest strength but if Anastasia would like to take actual charge since she is actually a clan leader that is perfectly fine with me and would serve all of our strengths the best I believe. And like Nevermore said, "The beauty of RP, sometimes, is how spontaneous it is." So we can start with this plan but if something changes IC we'll adapt.

If nothing else happens for someone else to take charge, then I'll have Anastasia do it. Like I said though, let's see what happens IC before making anything definitive.

I agree, and I just got a PM from Elias, and he'll be posting soon.

Sorry about the delay. I'm pretty backed up. I still have two threads to catch up on, some school stuff, and some writing to do. Seems like this will be fun, seriously though, i'm truly sorry about the delay. I said i'd do this and I never got around to it. :)

Hey, don't worry about it. Life's a bitch, because if it were a slut it would be easy.

Sorry about the wait and the shortness of the post. I had a lot of homework over the weekend and I had to work Friday-Monday. Almost caught up now though, just one class to go!

Hey just wanted to let you know I'll be gone for an extended weekend, this evening until mid-monday. I know it's not yet my turn but if it comes up and I don't post that's why.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it gets back around to you by then.

Nevermore,

Quick note, Graves didn't call you out. He just stated his doubt in the civilian force. Nothing about your ability as a soldier.

Ok guys,

I would really like to try and speed this thing up. The suspense is killing me!

Any suggestions on how to get things moving?

This is merely a question as this is my first RP site and I am still learning. Is it taboo to put a time limit on how many days a person can wait to post? I don't mean kick them from the thread, but just assume that their character is doing what is needed and staying alive?

I am not looking at anyone in particular, this is just a question that I have had since I joined and this seemed like it might be a time (and I mean that, a time, not a good time, but a time) to ask it.

While I agree with you, the suspense is killer. I have to say it's been my experience that the slower (More drawn out posts, not longer time) the RP does usually the better they are. Short posts, and quick missions kill RP site. (Source: 4 failed sites of my own).

It's been my personal experience from this particular site that the majority of participants are older teens or adults who have more going on in their life which make it harder for them to post in a timely fashion. If you find you really can't wait then go ahead and write something up in Word. Then when it is your post again you can make minor adjustments based on other characters posts. That's what I usually do...

While I've participated in around eight RPs on the site already and most of them have stalled, it's better to wait on people and let them participate. It lets the slower RPers still get involved in what's going on and doesn't exclude them. I personally prefer a very strict posting order, it keeps people from getting lost and having to read five pages of posts that they missed out on.

In short: My general rule of thumb is that if someone hasn't posted in a week, send them a PM. If they don't respond to that in three or four days and haven't logged in either, skip 'em!

Sounds fair. Thanks for the response.

No problem, and just to clarify those are my views, every RP and every person is going to do things a different way. So while this may seem structured and rigid, who knows, maybe next week you'll be in an RP that's completely different. When you find people that RP the way you like you can always team up with them and RP with them more often. There's no restriction on being biased about who you RP with. :P
