That's why I was posing it as a question, as I was having trouble believing you were stupid enough to think it would be the opposite, lol. But yes, the choice is up to Nexus on how the Republic will react, but he can only choose how the people of the Republic react to an extent. These are people, and boundaries will always be in place, just like those of Alsakan. There are limits, and in this case, with the flaming patriotism of Alsakan, their resolve will only become stronger in most cases. Of course there will be varying reactions, as we're talking an entire populace, but the military folks will be pissed off and want blood. The Jintu Church could also throw a pretty nice spin on things...You say this as if I planned something thinking it will go the opposite of what you just said. You're wrong in that regard, as I didn't even plan this. Solus basically threw this at me and I went with it. All I said was that role-playing it was fun, because it's going to help boost the activity of the role-play.
And Nexus and other high ranking Republic members get to decide how the people of the Republic will react to this, just like high ranking Alsakans get to decide how the Alsakan people will react. That's the way it's always worked.
Ahah, ideas, ideas.
