One has to wonder at the claim of these 'incidents' being zombie-related. No, not due to the ridiculous notion, but because of the whole "If the clock read..." situation. I mean, as has been said, these things do happen. It's not a matter of if and when they happen, it's just a matter of if and when we find out about them.

If the clock reads 5:31, there's nothing significant about it. But, if the clock reads 5:55, suddenly it's significant because, though perfectly normal, all three digits are the same. Might make one go "Hmm, fancy that". In short, nothing matters until you make it matter. Zombies only matter because, post-Resident Evil and the like, the industry just keeps crapping out one zombie flick after the other.
