I have friends who have the same complaints. Also DO NOT work at a pizza place, you'll like it at first but after a wile it sucks.

We all lie on the internet, for example I am really a teenage girl with a moustache fetish and double D jaffa cake breasts.

I dont think that I ever have. :p
Err... yeah... I'm a dude really....

Anyway, Mulluns there's not point asking which of those jobs to get really. Without any decent qualifications any job you take will be shit, so just go with the one that's paying the most and has the most ovetime oppertunities.

I know that :p. I was saying that I dont think that I have really ever lied over the internet. No point in it.

Also, you should think of some sort of way to advance yourself soon mate, it will definitely help out in the long run.

To be honest, even if you don't want to hear it, your best option would be to go to college. It can't be that hard to get in, and there are systems for people who struggle with money. I don't see why you feel you need a job before you begin there, if anything it sounds to me like you just want to put it off.

I'm not going to argue this with you, Sin. Neither of us can persuade the other, I doubt. So let's just return to the topic at hand.

To be fair, neither of you is trying to persuade the other of anything. Sin has for the most part spoken the truth.

Also, don't say things like Go to college instead, because I want to have alot of money on me saved up before I go.

I can't be bothered to Balance a job AND college AND my time here and on Live. It's too much.

Hmm... with all the options there, i'd say take the theater job. As someone stated I heard Gamestop isn't that great of a place to work and pizza shops are a little iffy IMO.

But yeah get the job first IMO. I didn't start college until last year. (I couldn't go the year right after high school.) I had to work and save up money. I put enough away to pay for the two years at Community college (Roughly 7-8,000 USD) I got one more semester after this one until I get my Associates Degree then I am undecided where to go from there.

But that is just my suggestion. Live your life the way you want to; and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

None of those are careers, they're jobs. Go to college get an internship and start a real career that will actually take you some place in life.

I'll throw my three and a half cents in. Not that you want it.

Don't worry about the job, yes it will suck. Fast food is usually the worst imho. For example: Long Hours, High Stress, Immature Managers etc etc. (In my experiance anyway.) I have a friend who works at gamestop. She puts it this way, the store can easily be run by two people, and thus, you NEVER get enough hours. (or at least she didn't.)

Really tho? Just get a job. Nothing is worse then sitting on your bum and doing nothing all day.

College? Good idea in theory, but let me tell you, if you do not have a clear idea of what you want to major it... don't do it. Wait. A schoolmate of mine has switched her major 3 times now. It ain't exactly cheap. What IS cheap is the Community College idea.

Usually under 2,000 (where I live anyway) You should be able to get a good certification. (EMT, Welder, Aircraft Repair, Low End Mechanic, Nurse Tech.) Good thing about these is its usually only a semester or two, and you will be all set up for a good job, that pays better then the lower end options, and can act as a spring board into something else. (For instance, once I get back, I plan to go to get my EMT certification and then later go to school to be a licensed Paramedic.)

Hope some of that helps you a bit.

Working at the jobs you listed you will only make somewhere in the range of 7.15 to 8.50 an hour. Assuming you will get to work full time at those locations (40 hours a week)you will be happily making yourself 1144 to 1360 a month. Lower that to 900-1100 after taxes, and go ahead and take another 200$ for all those video games that you buy, or accessories for your xbox, or more action figures, or another movie, and that leaves you at between 700-900$ a month from the jobs you listed. that is NOTHING. You should be making that amount in 3 days, not 30.

Get off your horse Mulluns my friend, which is not even that high, and accept the fact that you need to get into Community college as soon as possible or you will start understanding that life can't be spent in front of a TV playing xbox. If you want to have money, get a job in one of those places you listed half time, and go to school. That's what a lot of smart people do to get money. But I'll be honest, I laughed when you said you refuse to do that because you wont have enough time to work, go to school, and be here, and play video games.

Welcome to Real Life Mulluns, it doesn't slow down for anyone, and if you spend too much time away from it, you wont be able to just waltz back in.

When everything you have to do is related to video games you begin to dislike them.

I'll never be able to walk around in a game/electronics store looking through the games and such again as i know everything about everyone of them and far before they're released. I hear every bad thing about every game and I also see way too many people falling into a fad for a certain game that I begin to not like it. Trust me it sucks.

Besides that, they don't have good policies for the staff and pay is bad no matter what position you're in. I worked at EB Games first and we had it a lot better; we got commision for selling warranties we got rewarded for doing good with sales, we got a good discount on games and we were also encouraged to take home games to find out more about them.

Since GameStop bought the company we, instead, get punished by not selling enough warranties, we aren't allowed to take home any games whatsoever and our discount went down a lot.

You can go nowhere but down here lol, I'm only keeping the job as a part time while I'm in University, but if I had a chance to have a job at my position with similar hours as I have now I'd gladly take it.

You should work here then Mulluns. It would probably be best for you as; you already know a lot about video games, it will make you start to dislike games, and spend some time furthering your education instead of playing games.

I can't be bothered to Balance a job AND college AND my time here and on Live. It's too much.

Easy fix here, get rid of Xbox Live. I know it will hurt but once you stop playing you just get used to it. I barely go on live anymore, just ask Kurt. I go on once a week for something around 2-3 hours, just that. for example I bought Fallout on release day; I've got 14 hours into the game.

I would HIGHLY suggest entering college this spring semester, and work during your winter breaks, and summer breaks. If you get a full time job during those two time frames, you can usually make 5k a year. Also statistically you are less likely to graduate the longer you wait to enter, so I would recommend entering as soon as possible.

Heres a link to a table showing those stats. As SIN said earlier, its your life, try to make the best of it.

Are you shitting me? You're honestly going to prioritize Star Wars RP and Xbox equally with college and a job? Your job shouldn't even be an equal priority with college. If you don't go to college, your life will be wasted. You have to go to college if you want to work anywhere other than a supermarket or a fast food joint.

And also, the comment I quoted above is just pure laziness. I take five courses with classes every day of the work week, I work a few days during the week for a couple hours on each of those days, I come on here, I come onto SWF, I come onto TF.N and I also run an organization comprising northern and central New Jersey, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island, while ALSO doing work for regional-level and national-level scouting programs.

So don't give me that lazy bullshit.

Oh and by the way, when some conservatives talk about how welfare and government handouts go to people who refuse to help themselves and only want to sit around all day and not get a job, they're talking about people like you.

Sorry to be harsh, but your attitude pisses me the **** off.

I don't know about Mulluns; but it is for me and many others I know. If I didn't have a steady full time job for three years I wouldn't be in college right now. I got laid off back in June; but luckily I had enough put away for this and next semester.
