New Alderaan Orbit
From the reports the Sith invasion of New Alderaan wasn't really spurred by New Alderaan's strategic value as it was out of revenge. But at this point it doesn't matter. Regardless of what the reasons may be there is still no denying that New Alderaan is flying Imperial banners and it's strategic resources and capabilities will be put to good use, better use than what the Free Worlds or Jedi ever did.

The Governor's shuttle would be about to onto the New Alderaan Royal Engineers spacestation above the planet. It is there that the shipyard company produces ships. Normally the company is only capable of producing small craft and up to corvettes, but to their credit the previous government did attempt to expand their capabilities and there was a project in the works that would have let them produce a ship on par with an Imperial Star Destroyer, but the invasion stopped it. The Governor wants it completed and the shipyards happily producing other ships for the Empire.

In the passenger section, he would look at his company. Tiamat, a Sith Master who needs no introduction and whose expertise will most likely be handy, and then the Champion who he doesn't know much about.

"There it is, the shiypards" In the viewports Arcturus would be able to spot the shipyards. and what appears to be a large ship thats under construction, about half way but there visibly work has stalled. It's time to change that.

Before too long, the shuttle would then dock with the shipyards. With an overhead announcement from the pilot they have arrived and dock, Arcturus would finish his cigara and then dispose of it and then stand up. "Everyone's ready? Any questions about our objectives here?" The briefing should have been clear but Arcturus is a patient man and if theres any last minute questions about their goals then that's ok.

Why was everything in space? Wodan hated it and had nearly not taken the mission, if not for the persuasion of the instructors back on Korriban. He sat on the opposite side of the shuttles central passageway from the New Imperial Governor, the Acolyte was dressed in Imperial Armour his helmet placed on the seat next to him. Not liking the flowy robes of his contemporaries Wodan felt more at home in the armour of a soldier, it would also help the Firrerrian complete his primary task of this venture. That of a threat to stand behind the Governor's words. Granted there was also a Sith Master here, but he doubted she would like to get her hands dirty with the miscreants which inhabited the station.

Wodan refused to stare out of the viewport towards the ship, his despise of Space visible on the Acolyte’s face if anyone dared to look. The soft bump of the shuttle landing was of some comfort to Wodan, at least it was more than just one single piece of metal keeping him from being sucked into the void. Turning to face the Governor he shook his head when asked if he had any questions. Wodan was here to observe, learn and if need be wet his spear a little.

Tiamat was rather eager about this mission, she had not met with too many foreign shipwrights worried someone would begin replicating her technology. It was a worry any developing engineer carried, but at some point, it would eventually turn from if to when, and now it was only a matter of time. Though at this point, she felt she had enough product on the line that it would be worth the risk to expand to other shipyards with the path engine and see her work spread across the galaxy in one form or the other.

She sat quietly on the transport, dressed in civilian clothing that wouldn't give many the impression that she was "sith". Though she wanted an intimidation factor, there was also the trait of respect that she demanded first, and well, if that did not come, then she could permit fear for influence. Regardless, she felt she knew civilians the best and therefore, she knew what the liked to look at, how they thought about many spheres of influences, and wearing something like Sith armor was not going to get her anywhere.

Her red hair fell in loose curls around her face and over her shoulders and in her lap she held her holopad for needed visuals. She was present with New Alderaan's newest governor, Arcturus, who announced them arriving shortly. Her blue gaze studied the unfinished vessel before she glanced over to their other companion, an acolyte named Wodan, who sat rigid and quiet the while trip. The corner of her lip curled slightly, "You've been so quiet, I almost expected for you to play some game on our way here." she winked at the acolyte, having heard about the game he and others played at the last social.

Looks like all is order for them to proceed. They would make their way through the airlock and then be greeted by a welcoming party. Holtonn Galleneam, a green Nikto would be present with a line of engineers lined up looking professional to the side. "Welcome! Welcome to our shipyards." the green Nikto was said with a grin and was visibly nervous. "It's a pleasure to see you all here. I'm Holtonn Galleneam with the Engineers. What can we do for you?" the New Alderaanian engineer asked.

Arcturus would then reply "We have came here to straight out our future. The Royal Engineers were so eager to aid the Free Worlds and the Jedi, but the Sith now control New Alderaan. The system is ours as is airspace your shipyards are in. But I understand that you all are in the business of making credits, no?""Yes we are." they exchanged. There would be some salience to fill the air. "Show me to your on-going project." The nikto would then nod and escort them.

"Here you are" they would be at a observation area where they would be able to see the large ship under construction. "This is the Liberty-class Star Crusier." the Niko would then pull out a holo-projector and show a hologram of what the ship is planned to look like when it's complete. "It's on the same level as the Imperial Star Destroyer, it's can carry a couple squadrons of fighters/bombers and has a large array of turbolasers, ion cannons, and ion torpedo launchers. It's main focus is engaging other capital ships in battle and to be the flagship of the New Alderaan fleet" Now that's not possible of course "And this project was stalled before the invasion, why?" Arcturus asked, curious.

It is known that this is the largest undertaking the shipyards have done, this shipyards normally produce to up to only corvette sized ships. "Our shipyards just don't have the funding or resources needed to complete this. The last administration tried to get what we needed, but it was insufficient. We are only half-way finished with it" The Governor would stroke his chin in contemplation. Arcturus would then look towards Tiamat (@GABA), looking her her expertise. "What do you think about the design? Is it worth finishing, maybe modifications to the design can be made?" The Sith Empire would no doubt have the resources needed to finish the vessel, but of course the vessel would be in the Sith's services.

Wodan’s back stiffened slightly as Tiamat spoke and brought up the little game he had with a few other nobles back on Serenno. It had been his first outing as a Sith Acolyte, long before his humbling in the great big galaxy. He kept his eyes straight ahead, not wanting to look into the Sith Master’s eyes for fear of breaking under their glare.

Luckily for him however Arcturus was ready to get their little meeting underway and led the pair out of the shuttle’s airlock. Wodan rose first, but allowed the two senior members of the Empire to depart first. The Firrerrian exited into the station, his spear held straight in his right hand, his helmet under his left arm. As he followed Arcturus and Tiamat his eyes drifted from left to right scanning each individual in attendance. The Sith Master could handle herself well enough, so Wodan’s chief concern was the Governour himself.

He couldn’t help but follow the others gaze out of the viewport to view the new ship. A cold shiver ran down his spine as he looked, picturing the thousands of souls who would have been drifting around the colossal structure. A worse job he couldn’t thing of.

Tiamat listened to the conversation as it continued between the governor and the head engineer. Her gaze rested on the ship's partially completed frame, her mind filling in the parts and personnel that would be needed to effectively fly the ship. It was a sleek design, a bit pretty for a spearhead of a fleet. Drumming her fingers on the rail she turned to face the group, still holding her holopad as she contemplated what she would say.

"You'll get your funding, I'll also send my engineers." she said, getting a confused look from the Niko as he gestured to his lead team. Tiamat raised her hand, stopping him, "Let me continue," an image flickered above her holopad, "The engine will need some modifications that I would like to add for space superiority." she started, "In addition to the hyperdrive, I would like to add the Path Engine. I have worked through the kinks and re-engineered a specialty engine once of legends." Tiamat explained, tapping the picture and moving on to more detailed schematics.

"It will reduce the time to travel through space, give access to new hyperspace paths and reducing the reliance on routes that are easily targeted by pirates this far out in the galaxy." Tia paused, letting the engineers process and ask their questions.

The New Alderaanian was looked happy when it was said he would have his funding and engineers from the Sith lady. "That would be splendid, thank you mi'lady." he nodded towards her, nerveous too as he isn't sure on how to address the Sith Master. "If I may real quick, how feasible would it be to add the Path Engine on current New Alderaanian vessels? We already have quite a bit corvettes left over and will resume production of corvettes after the first Star Cruiser is finished." the represetntive thought the Path Engine sounded really expensive with what it can do. Arcturus was interested in the Path Engine as well, that can be very useful. A specialty engine once of legends? What was described would be very useful. A capital ship that size that can rapidly deploy into go into hyperspace rapidly will be extremely useful. The pirates are common on the Outer Rim, New Alderaan was an Outer Rim world, New Alderaan and it's surronding space will be secure. And even the greater Sith Empire will find them useful.

The representative would then turn towards the Governor. "So, what will you do with us? Will you nationalize us?" he said with a worried look. The governor would then mull on and then decide. "I will not nationalize you, yet I think. As long as you supply ships and equipment for me and the Sith Empire, the upcoming capital ship and other ships made for the Free Worlds go to us, and you don't get any ideas about aiding our enemies; I'm inclined to let you operate as normal otherwise. You can continue to make credits as you were as long you demonstrate your loyalty to the Empire." the Governor thought that oppressing them would make them less productive, but the company heads can still make their profits so they would be more willing to go along with this. "But, I would be sending a detachment to keep close eye on things." The Governor is not a fool to give the Royal Engineers free reign, the detachment would keep an eye on the company's inventory, the ability to approve/deny transactions, .etc. What happened with the Senator of Kuat selling to criminals will not happen with the Royal Engineers Of course, this is just what the Governor is mulling at the moment, not an agreement.

"Do you two have any other considerations?" the governor would look towards Wodan and Tiamat

Wodan stood silent, gazing across the room as those with a fair bit more in the brain department than him spoke about gizmos and gadgets which were above his level of understanding. After a short conversation it seemed that any kinks in how the ‘relationship’ would work were ironed out.

The Governor turned to face both himself and the former Sith Lord asking for their opinions or considerations on the matter. Although not a personal consideration, he had been informed by the current head of the IAF on New Alderaan of at least one item of discussion which needed to be put forward to the Royal Engineers.

“Commander Ney, asked me to remind yourselves and the managing board here. That all staff of the Royal Engineers, still require security checks and cross references. This is to confirm that no Rebel presence is hiding within your staff and protect both yourselves and the shipyards from any damage in the future. I hope you understand.”

Tiamat nodded as she listened to the royal engineers become giddy with the anticipation of getting their hands of the revitalized technology. As they should, any engineer in the know should be excited for it, if anything, she would see that the Empire leads in their technological advances, opening convenience eventually for the general populace. "I would like to see how it fares with that vessel and then we can look at adding to additional vessels. It will be essential to ensure everyone knows what they are doing. I would rather not take the risk of failure." Tiamat explained.

She looked to the governor and then back to the group as he explained his stipulations. It was an odd request to ask for currently, and she felt Wodan's follow up was appropriate. Rebellions were more frequent she felt than announced, she didn't need her work becoming sabotaged or damaged in the process. Despite their stance on doing what was good for them, it didn't mean it was good for everyone, in fact, it destroyed families and that was something she felt personally.

With nothing further to add, she gave a nod to Arcturus to conclude their meeting.
