Maybe not with a new timeline but I seem to remember that we had around three days after the last of the new info was given to us and the start. (Could be misremembering) I personally would like it because there are so many new rule changes and stuff that there may be editing I have to do with characters and one I have only done a little on because we know so little about the BA and Senate.

I'd definitely be interested in having a few days to read the write ups before the new timeline goes online; two of my characters planned backgrounds require me to know a bit more about the timeline and landscape of events in the galaxy preceding our start year, so having that time to read the information and incorporate it into the bios would be fantastic.

After reading posts like this for the past week,

I feel the need to clear up a common misconception amongst this site's populace:

Technically if the Star Wars RP Staff were using the preceding Julian (Roman) Calendar to track time and not the current Gregorian (Western) Calendar then today's date is the 25th of January. In which case they have until the 13th of February by the Gregorian Calendar to release the new Timeline.

Since there is no way the Staff could underestimate the time it will take to implement the new timeline, they must have meant the end of January on the Julian Calendar rather than our current calendar. It's too bad I was the only one who understood what the staff meant; we could have saved a lot of complaining and jokes about a "late" timeline.

Would like there to be weekly update or Dev Diary on new features of the NTL. As it is, we haven't had an update on the progress since Jan 21, which was 17 days ago. A quip on faction ranks, faction tech (like Republic capital ships and fighters, and their Jedi and Sith counterparts), details about the Independent Faction Guidelines or progress thereto, ideas nearly set in stone about expanding into new grid squares and the mechanics of faction warfare, any ideas no matter how theoretical about the economic system, etc. etc. all of those would be nice even to sustain the hype. As it is, the lack of updates on this leaves the community wondering about the progress, and bleeding our excitement.
