The spacer was trying his best to calm down and though he had succedded and ceased with his attempt to give Souther a piece of his mind, Yuuta could still feel the frustration Arrieta felt. Simply glad and grateful that he had (somehow) managed the de-escalate the situation, the Ranger patiently waited for the other man to activate the ship's onboard security system before following the dark-haired male as he led the spacer aboard the Death Painting.

Still not taking advantage of the situation and Arrieta's frustration – and not that Yuuta even considered it in the first place – the Ranger continued to refrain from using the Force to get a proper read on the latter. He assumed that the blond must have had a sentimental attachment to the ship, and that supposedly was why Yuuta felt the slightest sliver of reluctance from the other captain to abandon his ship at the Ranger's first few offers. It was a feeling he could understand – under the same circumstance he, too, would not want to part with the Death Painting. Not when it was something his parents bought for him as a gift after he had graduated, and most certainly not when it held so many precious memories of his Ma and Da, and of course his lady love.

If only Yuuta had managed to find out that Arrieta was actually smuggling spice... but it was not so.

He couldn't make a promise nor even give Arrieta his word that he would make sure that the latter's ship wouldn't further be unharmed. Yuuta already had a hunch that Souther would order his men to bypass the Starskipper's onboard security system and make a full sweep of the ship himself. But the Ranger didn't focus on that, already making his way towards the Death Painting's cockpit with the spacer in tow. He wouldn't return the blond's weapons – at least not yet. Arrieta was still a stranger even if he was just, according to himself, an honest spacer.

Taking his position on the pilot seat, Yuuta placed the coordinates for Siskeen on the nav system and made the short jump for their destination. Any conversation Arrieta might start would be met with a reassuring smile and honest responses and quips. And as the Death Painting exited hyperspace and Siskeen came into view, he would once again offer Arrieta an apology for what had happened, for what the other man had gone through.

Finding a spaceport was of no issue, and as the light courier settled on a landing bay Yuuta insisted on escorting the spacer out of his ship. At the foot of the ramp, the Ranger handed Arrieta the latter's DL-44s.

"I guess this is it, huh," he lightly told Arrieta with a smile. Tucked in one of the DL-44s trigger was a slip of paper where his work commlink's frequency was written. "If you need help or... or had a sequel to what had just happened, feel free to contact me. I'd be glad to help."

"No, this certainly isn't it!" spluttered Elkras as Yuuta tried to hand his DL-44s back. The smuggler almost made a move to accept his blasters- they were being returned to him- but realized that reaching for a weapon whilst chewing someone out wasn't the best move... especially when said person was a space magician.

"You can't just leave me here like this!" he continued, disbelief plain on his face. "You... or rather, your ISC, is the reason my ship is a floating hunk of metal in space; I had one engine fixed, remember?" A tinge of desperation entered his tone. The Comet was all he had. "And I don't have credits for a tow, let alone the repairs, so if you wanna be helpful you'll come with me to the scrappers and let me bill the ISC for the damage Souther caused to my ship!" Hopefully before Souther can properly search it he thought.
