Chris, short for Christopher. Generic name. With REALLY stupid reasoning behind it. My dad chose this so that my initials were the same as a Rock Band from the late 60's and early 70's that he loved. My mom wanted to name me Nicholas. Kind of wish she had gotten to name me instead of my dad picking this.

Now here's a name I haven't heard of in a long time!

Ebenezer in Hebrew means stone of help, I think.
Powerful name!

I've been told it means Stone of Help, or Pillar of Victory. Depends on the context maybe?

All I know is, working at fast food and all with the name Ebenezer on my name tag during Christmas time was interesting. I'm not sure what people did more, called me Scrooge, or asked me if people called me Scrooge.
