Hiraya and Armen. Definitely two names to remember. Heidi considered herself fortunate to have met two kind Padawans so quickly, especially given that she had no date. And, while they weren't her dates, she wouldn't have to start her first prom on her own! A thought that visibly excited her, her ears perking up, her tail swooshing ever so slightly more wildly.

"I also have no idea what games there are." With another bright laugh, the girl admitted. "Let's find out!" With a clear skip in her step, she began to make her way towards the courtyard with the two Padawans, her arms tucked behind her back, her hands clasped together. She was already having the time of her life, and they hadn't even gotten to the games, karaoke, or- Uff! There were just so many fun things to do!

Heidi was blown away once they arrived at the courtyard. So many machines, all with colorful blinking lights and happy sounds. Even now, she was still struggling to adjust to all the parts of the galaxy she'd never seen before; there were no such games on her homeplanet. Games, in her opinion, were cards, boards, and other similar things. Or... perhaps there were? She'd never seen much outside of the forests she traveled through and the small towns and taverns she used to visit. Who knew what magnificent cities her planet housed?

But that didn't stop her from wanting to learn what these games were.

Hiraya's hand on hers surprised her, but she didn't mind. From the looks of it, he was also holding Armen's shoulder. Heidi replied with a joyful grin and only after noticed that his attention was drawn to a claw machine. Heidi had no idea what in the kriff's name she was looking at at first. Fortunately for her, the device was being used by a Jedi Knight. A claw went down, one the Knight was seemingly controlling, and tried to grab a plushy. Seemed logical and simple enough!

"Men go first." She laughed as she approached the machine. Because, while she wanted to use the machine and it seemed simple enough, she was a little shy. What if she messed up and made a complete fool of herself? What if she destroys the machine? Normally, she didn't care what other people thought of her, but if these two were to become friends, she wanted to make a good first impression. So she'd rather watch them play the game first!

Seemed like Armen’s companions were as excited as they were clueless. They weren’t alone, for that matter; he also had no idea of what games were on offer. The difference? He wasn’t the best at showing his excitement beside others who evidently could hardly contain it—but no matter.

Being sure to bring a chocolate-covered strawberry with him, Armen walked casually while Heidi went skipping and Hiraya did his thing. In the courtyard, Armen cocked a brow, watching all around. More like carnival…

Between the blinking lights and what just might be a merry-go-around or some kind of carousel, well, ‘games’ really did mean games. Whatever the heck that meant. Oh. Tic-Tac-Toe. Just then, Hiraya put a hand on Armen’s shoulder. Woah.

The latter was really too busy eating his chocolatey strawberry to even blink. Claw machine. He finally offered a shrug. Seemed simple enough. Cuz I really want a plushy. Yup...

Heidi mentioned that men went first. Since when? “Okay. I guess.” Armen relented, not up for an argument. Maybe Hiraya could flip a coin for it but, nah, Armen went ahead.

‘No using the Force to win prizes!’ the rule went. Whatev. With that, he stuck the chocolatey strawberry toothpick thingymajig between his teeth and grabbed the machine’s stick. “Here goes nothin'.”

The claw lifted, forward, shifted toward a furry thing, went past that plushy, away from Porg, Ewok and Baby Yoda, searching and scoring for the ugliest thing. Ah. Yep. Definitely. The claw dipped at a Chevin.

Armen gripped it. “Think I got it!” Lifted. Just then, the stuffed Chevin released as if to scream it was free. Shit. “It is what it is.” Unfazed, he stepped away for the next contestant in this game.

Formal wear. Informal beware. Oh, she had heard the cry, learned of the requirement for tonight, and decided to come in the formal attire of a Jedi not so bright. Bubbly, maybe, but given less to this dirty dancing music nonsense business and more to the guitar strum and the hard drum.

Her outfit reflected this notion. Black grey garments, like charcoal, speckled with white, like ash. Its wearer was happy to play the troll as much as dance. For now, looking around, she just wanted to eat and drink, so very hungry and thirsty. Mmm. Meat and mead.

She had heard those words in a high sci-fi fantasy story, really, but wanted something sweet. As the party’s host introduced the evening, the Togruta entering the scene was already on her feet, moving toward that fondue and— OH DUDE

Leh’Min’Ayd blinked at the tree in the center of the dancing theater. It triggered a memory just then remembered. No way. She hesitated to sip her glass of lemonade. Not…Bush Jade… Looking away, she promptly brought a chocolate strawberry between her teeth, gathered a plate, went on her way.

Walked along across the crowds, giving more attention to her treats than their sweeping gazes, Leh’Min’Ayd found a quiet place away from the commotion. She wasn’t shy by any means but just wanted to eat and drink in peace for the moment. Didn't need to prove it but screw it.

So the brave girl twirled around and exclaimed to the world. “ROCK OOOOOOONNNNNNN!!!’ Plate in one hand, other hand curling middle fingers, pinky and index upward, thumb outward, in a shape like ‘kriff this music’. She did. Earbuds in her ears, she sat near some Anzat, her outfit just as black, if more of a suit than a dress but no less cool.

“HOLY ROLY POLY is that a grape?” Leh’Min’Ayd blinked at her counterpart’s plate. “Trade ya this raisin for that grape, whaddya say, hey?”

Good thinking gurl” Dash was impressed by the young Padawan’s nouse and immediately regretted being frosty with the poor thing.

He scanned the sea of Padawans behind her, wondering who exactly had created said situation. “This one is better at getting you into trouble than getting out of it” he joked, tilting his head at Ezra “better to let me know if someone is bothering you”. It was utter bullshit of course, Dash had been single-handedly responsible for almost every tight spot the two of them had ever been in.

He caught Ezra’s meaning with Natalie immediately and switched his attention to the woman briefly, giving her his best sultry look. Dash threw in a little tongue for good measure, tracing his own lip. It was not completely faked; that dress was to die for.

But the Fiani girl’s unease niggled him. This was supposed to be a night of unspoilt fun. “Wait” he said, leaning back over to the Padawan “what was this uncomfortable situation? Do we need to have a word?”. He swilled the glass of punch in his hand before taking another sip. Combined with the few drinks he’d had while getting ready, he was starting to feel a little fruity.

Marcus quickly stepped aside as a padawan he had not previously noticed downed a glass of the punch, which after remembering seeing a few of the little rascals running about spike it, thought maybe perhaps that wasn't the best idea. Who knows, maybe they didn't spike it with anything bad. Though that was unlikely, either way, Marcus was thirsty.

"Marcus, pleasure to meet you Theia." Nodding in greeting to her, and the other jedi beside her. Quickly pouring himself a cup before anyone could stop it, he poured it into his mouth as the sweet relief of punch and something... else, trickled down his throat. He couldn't quite tell what the odd taste was, but oh well, you only live once. "How do you appear to be enjoying your evening so far?"

As soon as he finished his question, another approached them, this one also a padawan, and questioning whether the Knight beside Marcus was a master (@Javier esschoolbus), well, thats certainly a way to introduce ones self. Chuckling to himself, "and who might you be?"

As soon as the taste test of the punch was complete, Bri's attention turned as another Knight approached her (@Woven ). The young man looked to be a Knight (Bri could tell by the way he carried himself), but was a fair bit younger than she was.

“Well, how do you do. Mind if I grab some punch?”

"Evening" Bri offered a friendly smile in reply. She was about to gesture to the punch, but offer a warning of its contents, when another Jedi (@GABA ) joined their group, and asked a similar question.

"Does this taste sharp to you?"

The Knight nodded in reply.

"It would seem one of your intrepid colleagues decided to spike it with some Marcan. If you'd like a more moderate version, I'd suggest getting some from one of the other tables," she pointed towards the punchbowls that centrepieced the other tables around the room.

Introductions followed, and Bri waited her turn before making her own.

"Brienna Lanaamer, pleasure to meet you both" she smiled once more and nodded her head slightly in greeting.

Another Padawan (@Javier esschoolbus ) approached and introduced himself with the grace of an intoxicated wampa.

“Are you a master, granny? I don’t think I’ve met a Master yet only knights.”

Bri sighed and scrunched her mouth intro a frown. The comment was doubly offensive and hurt the Knight more than she cared to admit.

"Yep. Sure kid, something like that," she replied flatly, then took her own cup of the spiked punch and took a long sip.

This is going to be a long night.

Overall, Laura was not having a great time. Sure, the food was alright, though Laura hadn’t exactly taken her time selecting things and occasionally looked longingly over at the chocolate fountain. The party was picking up now, groups of Padawans forming and moving from the dance floor to the courtyard. Laura took a sip from her glass. Oh, definitely spiked. But oh well, she didn’t feel like getting up and walking through crowds for a new drink.

The Anzat was starting to feel some of the stress leaving her. How long had it been since she spent any time with her fellow Padawans? Maybe the Masters were right; she did spend too much time in the library.

Laura was strongly considering returning to the food tables when an exclamation got her attention. Her eyes snapped to a nearby lone Togruta making quite a bit of noise. Laura watched her twirl around in a striking black dress; now there was someone confident.

Then the purple skinned Jedi sat down right across from her. Laura tensed up and lowered her face instinctively before forcing her muscles back into relaxation and trying to smile. Like a normal person. This was just a fellow Jedi, they’d guess another Padawan, though not one they’d met.

Laura became even more taken aback when the Togruta immediately expressed interest in the fruit on her plate. Laura didn’t understand exactly what about a grape warranted such a reaction, but she felt the corners of her lips tilt up in a more genuine smile than before. She didn’t really want a raisin, but grew more curious about the other Jedi regardless.

“Yeah, here, take what you’d like.” She pushed her plate forward, so it was between the two. The assortment of crackers and fruits was still mostly untouched.

“Um, I’m Laura. Hello!” She waved her hand awkwardly. “Are you a new Padawan? Or graduating? Or- Oh, I guess I should ask your name first, sorry!”

Men first? Had the old adage changed along with the marching of time and Hiraya was not made aware of it?

The Tiefling dropped the question that formed in his mind, instead choosing to focus on Armen as the dark-haired Padawan took the lead. Crimson eyes widened as they watched the human deftly manoeuvred the claw past a Porg plushy, an Ewok, and even past a Yodaling, going straight for the Chevin that looked as if it was purposefully shoved at the back. A questioning glance was sent Armen's way, as if asking if he was serious about picking the ugliest plushy in the bunch.

But then again, Hiraya truthfully wanted to pick the ugliest thing in there because it would just meet a horrible fate (thrown in a trash compactor at the end of the day) because no one would want it. The Tiefling hid a toothy grin as he observed the claw gripped the Chevin plushy, lifted, and eventually dropped–

–which prompted a genuine yell of disappointment from the white-haired Padawan.

Miming rolling up his sleeves, Hiraya took the spot Armen abandoned and proclaimed, "I'm gonna get it for ya!"

He glanced at Heidi, too, and gave the Fiani two thumbs up before facing the claw machine once again. Grabbing the machine's stick, the Tiefling poured his focus as he moved the claw and directed it to where the Chevin plushy now lay nestled between two Porg plushies. A look of utter concentration filled him, tongue sticking out between fanged teeth, as the claw descended. But his aim had gone awry, the claw knocked past the intended target and locked on a Porg instead.

"Nooo!" wailed Hiraya as the claw picked up the Porg, only – as if to add salt to his imaginary wounds – for the plushy to slip and fall…

There went his dignity, the years spent training to conquer and master the claw machine. All those credits sneaked to him by Pops – wasted, by this one failure!

(Hiraya was just being dramatic, of course. He didn't waste anything. And all those credits sneaked to him by Pops went to snacks, really.)

Turning to face Heidi, Hiraya cried, "Avenge us, Heidiiiii!"

This other chick looked a bit distant, as if wanting to keep her distance despite this Jedi shindig, but it was just a moment of observation and Leh’Min’Ayd wasn’t fazed as she gazed at that grape. “Great!” They exchanged fruit, grape and raisin placed on plates.

Conversation began to get underway as Leh’Min lifted her earbuds out, sipped her lemonade untouched by drugs, and waved back at Laura. “Hiya! My name's Leh’Min’Ayd!” She popped the grape between her teeth, chewed sweet juicy fruit, and promptly swallowed before she spoke.

“Hum.” She thought about how to respond, having kind of forgotten that this was a Jedi graduation ceremony as much as a party. “I don’t even know if my name is on the list! It’s been a minute for this little miss!”

Suddenly, her face sank like her companion’s had only a moment ago, as a memory was triggered, and as if darkness veiled her countenance. Lin… And another name she couldn’t escape. Kayden…

The memory faded that very instant, replaced with a smile. “Not a new Padawan.” She was honest but, in hindsight, it had been more of a while than a minute.

Very few knew the name of her master, for better or worse. “Not an old one either!” Whatever that meant. It didn’t need to make sense.

“I like your suit!”
More dark navy blue than black in truth. “What about you?” Leh’Min’Ayd would listen as she chewed on lemon cake.

With excitement Heidi got closer, intently staring at the machine as Armen went first. As he moved the joystick around, guiding the claw to the toy he was aiming for, he seemed pretty confident... no... not confident, casual. She had no idea why he chose the ugliest plush out of the bunch, but she wasn't going to judge him. Well. She just did. But she wouldn't judge him out loud. Plus everyone has different tastes!

He was so close to grabbing it, so close! Heidi's tail swung back and forth while she held her breath, her ears perked up as high as possible. And then!

Then he dropped it.

Heidi's cheeks puffed up as she exhaled the breath she had been holding. "Good try!" She said with a bright smile before turning her attention to Hiraya. Whereas Armen seemed casually confident, Hiraya seemed purely confident. He acted as if he knew what he was doing. Like he's used that machine many times before. His two thumbs up made her laugh even more, and she returned the thumbs with a firm nod.

Just as before, Heidi was staring with big eyes full of excitement and intent. Staring at what he was doing, the metallic claw moving, the claw reaching down... and completely missing. Oh well, porgs were cute- nevermind. He dropped the porg.

Amused Heidi laughed again, her head tilting to the right. "You two did great!" And she meant it; in her opinion, the fact that they even got the hook close to the plush was already impressive. But then it was Heidi's turn, and she exhaled deeply.

She approached the metallic machine with brave steps, ignoring the displeasure of new technology that sang in the back of her mind. The tiny Fiani grabbed the machine's sticks, took another deep breath, and confidently jerked it to the right with the kind of force that only pilots would use in their starfighters. The claw flew to the right, completely missing the plush they were after. The only reason why it hadn't smashed the glass was thanks to the inbuilt safety system. It wasn't even close to any grabable plush when the claw lowered itself, grabbed the air, lifted it into the sky, and delivered it to Heidi.

She stared at the machine and the stick in her hand, dumbfounded. She was so disappointed that they didn't get the toy they were hoping for. Wouldn't that have made Armen and Hiraya happy? For a split second, she was silent, frozen, even her normally animated tail was motionless. Her bright green eyes were the only thing that moved, scanning a board with rules placed next to the machine. Then, out of nowhere, she rose from the dead and hopped onto the machine's top. "I'm going in!" She declared.

Nothing in the rules said she couldn't enter the machine's top and become the claw herself. "I need you to lower me with a rope or a belt! I'll grab the toy!" She spoke at the two, grasping the lid of the glass they were most likely using to refill the machine.

Well that was kind of unexpected. Armen figured he was the only one interested in that stupid Chevin to begin with. Two thumbs up later and he stared dumbly as Hiraya braved the game to scrape that plushy from its frame.

“Oof.” Armen offered in his nonchalant response to his companion’s failure at either Chevin or Porg. Shit happens. Then it was left to Heidi to save them from their loser’s fate or whatever.

She complimented them, said they did great, to which Armen could only blink like what-did-you-say? Chocolate strawberry toothpick stick thingamajig between his teeth, he had totally dropped the ball in this game and didn’t need it to be sugarcoated—Chevin, anyway.

“Face it,” he sniffed. “I sucked.” So did the other man in this outfit. Leave it to the woman, then? Surely she would best the men with her confidence. Granted, she was a young girl, but didn’t children have the whole world in their grip or…something..?

Well, that machine’s claw sure held a whole lot of nothing in its grip. Huh… “I mean…if the objective was to grasp emptiness then—”

“I’m going in!”

Well, shit.

Armen looked left, looked right, saw no custodian nearby, figured they might as well try. He didn't really want either the Porg or Chevin, to be honest, but this was proving to be a better game and no mistake.

“Gotcha.” Armen nodded in response. “My belt's too short and I have no rope so...just hop on in. We’ll pull you out once you grab it.”

Maybe. They could get caught in a moment. But what’s the worst that could happen besides getting kicked out of this silly shindig?

As Kaedan called Alienor princess, she corrected him. "My apologies. Lady; alright I got it. Lady Alienor Pom Blodau." He gave her a smile and walk with her over to the shuttle. Once they had arrived, they looked around seeing the people gathered. Kaedan asked her if she had been to events like this one. Of course, he should have expected as much. She was nobility after all and this was probably a normal occurring thing.

She spoke of being at events like this and balls back home. He smiled and listened attentively. "That sounds like a fun time and a way to get to know many people at once." Since she was the one with more experience, Kaedan was sure that she would have things that she wanted to do tonight and he would tag along to get these new experience. When she spoke of fondue and then punch, Kaedan chuckled at the way she said it. Maybe it was exciting. "I've never had fondue before so I hope it's good."

Kaedan moved over to the Fondue area with Linny and observed. "I'm guessing this bread is supposed to be used with it." He stood up looking a bit unsure how to stand or where to stand for that matter. Even so, he kept a confident look on his face. He was enjoying the new experience.

Alhazred looked up and greeted the man warmly, his own webbed hand extended in response.

"Hello young master Scorpio" Alhazred whispered, his under developed vocal cords straining to speak above the noise. "My name is Abda-Vaal Alhazred, though please, just Alhazred will do. "

Alhazred studied the man for a few moments as he pondered the best answer to the question. The Force around the man resonated in its song. There was a peculiarity about him that made the Nu-Vaal insatiably curious.

"We share a commonality. I am a new initiate to the Order myself. Come, sit, and enlighten me: How long have you been blind?"

Alhazred noticed the man's eyes, and having been a bit intoxicated by his inhalation of drugs, lacked the common courtesy to not be blunt in his questions.

As her companion introduced herself, Laura’s gaze drifted between Leh’Min’Ayd and the drink she held. Lemonade. Leh’Min’Ayd. Was it a coincidence or…? Laura pushed down the thought, sure it would be incredibly rude to ask. She felt foolish spending any time thinking about it, and was glad her species lacked a typical circulatory system. If it didn’t, her face would probably be red from constant embarrassment.

After her introduction, Leh’Min’Ayd suddenly looked glum. Laura worried she had upset the Jedi - or possibly worse, bored her! But soon the smile returned and she was talking again.

“Thank you!” She responded to the comment on her suit. “Ah, I mean, I’ve been a Padawan for a little while. Not as long as some, I guess, but I’ve been with the Jedi since I was a baby, so none of it really feels that new.”

She looked at the Togruta, who was consuming another lemon themed item. Laura smiled a little more.

“So, um, what made you want to sit here, away from, y’know?” She gestured to the general dance floor area where the majority of people were. “I'm glad for the company, don't get me wrong. I’m just curious. I, uh, don’t usually go to these sorts of… anything actually. I got told by a Knight that it was mandatory. Think they were lying though.”

Laura had Leh’Min’s attention even as she was suddenly lost in thought yet again at her new friend’s comment on being with the Jedi since she was a baby.

The Togruta was a baby once, too. Maybe if she had been with the Jedi when she was one, hum, things might have been different. Maybe.

At the question to her presence, Lem shrugged. “Ehhhmmm I guess I just wanted to watch and eat in peace from a distance for a moment, know what I mean?”

Duh. Of course she does. Laura was sitting here to begin with and, granted, she appeared to have a more introverted personality that catered to her decision, which wasn’t a bad thing by any means.

“I dunno about mandatory but ya see that tree?” Lem pointed with her fork.

“Reminds me of this one time I went to one of these parties and there was this sculpted plant named Bush Jade and I drank too much champagne and by the way someone spiked the punch in this one not that I had any and…crap…I’m talking way too fast, ain’t I?”

Lem offered a small laugh at that. She, too, was glad to be company as much as have it. “Wait, what the hett?” She blinked at Laura’s plate. How’d I MISS IT? “Pumpkin spice snickerdoodle COOKIE!?” She seized it that very instant.

"No, I didn't," he replied glumly to Heidi's praise, ears drooping and tail flopping sadly. "I botched it, I'm sorry!"

Why was he apologizing, though? His failure with the claw machine wouldn't cause a butterfly effect and end the known galaxy. The drama, in reality, was meant to make his new acquaintances – who would hopefully become new friends at the end of the prom – smile or laugh. That was his intent, and if it missed instead of hit he would immediately placate them; tell them he was just trying to fool around to make them laugh.

But when Heidi also failed in her attempt, the Tiefling shot the claw machine a dirty look. Fighting the urge to give it a solid kick, the Padawan instead huffed, crossed his arms, and dramatically complained, "This game is rigged."

Of course it wasn't rigged. He was just being childishly spiteful. Mock spiteful, more like.

But then Heidi declared with a determination that rivalled his Ma's that she was going in, Hiraya straightened and gaped at her. She was going in? Was she serious? She was wearing a dress! What if she fell and hurt herself? Should he stop her, tell her that she didn't need to risk life nor limb just for the poor Chevin plushy that seemed to stare up at the Tiefling pitifully? What would Ma say?

Boy, you better stop this tomfoolery before she gets hurt! Be responsible! Ma's voice screeched at him in his head.

Make sure she doesn't fall. Get ready to catch her if she slips up. Plant your feet firmly on the ground, and make sure to mind her head, he could hear Pops tell him, giving out pointers on how to make sure the Tiefling caught Heidi should she fall.

"I have a belt! And this string thingy on my suit!" the Tiefling volunteered cheerfully with a sunny grin, hands already unfastening said belt and decorative string thingy, whatever it was called. If Heidi was determined to become the claw, then who was he to stop her?

Hiraya could already see his Ma throwing up her hands in disappointment for following his gremlin brain instead of the good boy brain.

Making a cowboy bowline (that looked more like a noose, Stars forbid!) from the connected belt and decorative but surprisingly sturdy string, Hiraya tossed it up at Heidi so she could loop it around her waist while he tightly gripped the other end. It was sufficiently long enough to make Heidi's attempt work, and the Tiefling gave the Fiani a resolute nod.

"Armen!" he gleefully called the dark-haired Padawan once Heidi was ready. "We're all set up!"

Then, looking back up at Heidi, Hiraya gave her a bright, fanged grin.

"All set, Heidz!" he informed her, grin morphing into a blinding smile.

The nickname just slipped unbidden, but if she showed even just a hint of dislike towards it, then he wouldn't use it again.

As he waited for @Alhazred to respond, his hand still outstretched, he met the waves and hellos a few of the Padawans and Initiates sent his or their way with his other and a humble nod. His blind gaze following the field of view, he could see and feel all around him, exponentially so under the relaxant that was Marcan Tea spiked in the punch bowl from earlier. After all, it wasn't intended to hurt, but to let exhibitions lower and the mind wander freely under their own disciplines.

But when Alhazred finally spoke, his attention turned back to the Nu-Vaal with glazed eyes and harmonic emotions. "It is absolutely wonderful to meet you Alhazred" He spoke in kind, actually reaching his free hand over and shaking the Nu-Vaal's hand with both of his in a resemblance of full acceptance.

Letting go, Scorpio leaned back in his chair and scooted it slightly closer, the man's strained voice an obvious hindrance and chore above the music and occasional noise. In truth, it was hard to keep up with everything that was going on, even for one with Scorpio's gift of Force Sight. Something, of which, Alhazred spoke upon. Turning his head, he gave the man a response as best he could with a humble chuckle that followed.

"Since birth." His silvered eyes shifted to Alhazred's own gaze. In truth, his eyes resembled his Father's Echani Eyes, but only in appearance and function. However, due to his hybridization, he couldn't see through them very well. Something akin to shapes and figures at best. It was the gift granted by his mother's race that truly gave him sight. "A gift granted by my mother whom was Miralukian."

Taking a sip from his glass, he let the world around him fade from his view as he focused on his conversation with Alhazred, letting the outside world drown from his gaze. There was the possibility of kinship to be made and he didn't want to hinder the moment. "Tell me about yourself Alhazred. Where do you come from? What do you aspire to be? What dreams do you hold close to your heart?"

Perhaps it was the Marcan talking, or perhaps it was the genuine thoughts of his heart as he connected with another. Even Scorpio could not tell. But in response to his own questions, he revealed his own to Alhazred. "I hail from Tatooine, a small world that once was a lush a vibrant jungle that's now a barren wasteland of sand and more sand. It was a rough life, but I cherished it. I suppose that's why I sought out the Jedi. Perhaps somewhere within me, I hope to follow my Father's path, and through me, bring stability back to my homeworld."

A shorter fiani joined at the punch bowl, hearing her introduce herself, and gave his name, Akio. The girl smiled and took another drink from her cup, "You too, Akio," before looking to the others, especially when Akio reference one as a granny. The girl had to hold back a snicker as she downed the rest of drink, getting a name from Marcus, who asked how she was enjoying her evening.

"I'm glad I didn't miss it." Theia said before his attention was turned to the Fiani. She looked around, overhearing someone call for help. It was the small lizard she saw moments earlier and Natalie, who looked absolutely beside herself. Finishing the last bit of her punch, Theia quickly headed to Natalie, "Hey, what happened?" she said placing a hand on her best friend's shoulder. "You feeling sick?" she asked looking around to see if anything else could cue her in.

"Maybe you should sit down." The padawan suggested tilting her head over to a nearby empty table. She hoped there wasn't something in the snacks she was eating. It would not surprise the padawan if the snacks provided would give them all food poisoning later.

Alhazred chuckled at the questions. Most people were not so eager or straight forward in trying to get information, but since this was a formal event, and Alhazred himself had asked such a blunt question, he felt he could oblige Scorpio.

"I will enlighten you if you provide one favor" Alhazred began. Quietly, he produced another pod full of the aerosol weed and passed it to Scorpio. "Make me feel not alone in my pleasentries. I assure you, it will not harm in any way, and the effects are temporary.

"As for me..." Alhazred shifted in his seat, fishing for the right answer in his head. "Yag'Dhul is where I grew up. Moved from space station to station. Ever been there? The planet itself is chaotic and dangerous, but the Givin's distinct ways are very opening to the celestial placements and orders of the cosmos"

Alhazred smiled as his memory drifted back to his youthful days amongst the Givin. "My people have certain beliefs about the placements of celestial objects and how they affect our core beings. I wished to become a Jedi to find a connection between my people's beliefs and the Force, and eventually take it Vaal to enlighten my kind."

Alhazred looked at Scorpio again. "I've heard bits and tales of Tatooine. A rock that is farthest from the shining center of the galaxy for some. A land of broken people and warring tribes. How would you bring stability to it?

It was unusual to say the least for another to offer up such a request, but Scorpio simply chalked it up to likely a hereditary tradition as he accepted and offered forth a sip of his own concoction he previously poured into the punch bowl earlier. With a smile, he spoke. "It would be my pleasure friend. Here. Try this. I spiked the punch bowl earlier with Marcan leaves. I was hoping to entice a more relaxed and fluid environment free of constriction and inhibitions."

As he inhaled the aerosol weed based intoxication, he felt the immediate effects flow throughout his form and felt his mind release from the existence of reality and for a moment, he could see as the Nu-Vaal describe his world as clearly as if he were there in the moment. His hand would raise, attempting to touch each of the celestial objects from the lowly confines of the space stations and could feel the plight of Alhazred in his endeavor. In truth, Scorpio felt almost god-like, all knowing and all sorrowful for his creations.

"I've never been, but I can see it." Scorpio responded in kind to Alhazred's description of his world and his question of Scorpio ever having been there. "I am sorry you carry such a burden my friend. It is not an easy task to seek truth amongst religion, but I have faith in you."

Scorpio remained in his position, one leg laying flat against the chair as the other bent to it's foundation, his head leaned back and his mind's eye dancing upon the vision he incorporated when Alhazred asked of Scorpio's own plight. He laid there in silence but for a few brief moments before he was able to bring to words the definition of it. It was a hard thing to describe in mere words, but Scorpio would try at his best.

"My mother once told me of a world called Tython, a world in perfect balance between the lightside and darksides of the Force, harmonic and in tune with the inhabitants that once roamed its surface in their understanding of the Force." Scorpio would begin, both hands now in the air as he described the tale with emphasis. "The inhabitants, the Je'daii, sought to be in tune with the flow of the Force, and those whom strayed either to light or dark were banished into self reflection and exile upon its twin moons."

"Tatooine is quite the opposite."
He continued, his gaze shifting toward Alhazred as he did so. "There is so much chaos, so much strife. Crime, murder, solicitation, sin, all run rampant upon it's forsaken surface. And it's roots run deep across millennia as it's way of life. The entire world exists within a wound of the Darkside, the lushness of the world burnt away into glass by an ancient race known as the Rakata."

Turning his head back toward the ceiling and closing his eyes as he envisioned his intent, a smile crossed his face. "You see, my Father was a Jedi too. And my mother, once a Sith. In a sense, their love for one another brought a sense of balance into their lives through me and my siblings." There was a brief silence as the sorrow of their deaths echoed in his presence. "So it would make sense that Tatooine could be healed in such a familiar pattern. A simply act of kindness could beget another, and then another, and so forth, until the Light encompasses the hearts of all its inhabitants until balance is achieved. Or, I would like to think so. Perhaps, as a Champion, I may one day return there and attempt it. Or perhaps the Force has other plans. Who truly knows."

Even as Scorpio spoke those words, he found that even he could not grasp it entirely. He had always sought to inherent and carry forth his parent's plight in ridding himself of the potential darkness he could possess within, and by extension, those around him. But the concept of the Force having its own will and plans for him was nearly mind blowing to realize. He really couldn't say which would be right and which would be wrong.

Still staring toward the ceiling, and beyond into the vastness of the Force, Scorpio concluded. "Tell me of your homeworld and your kins beliefs Alhazred. What does the sun appear like when it sets from the view of your stations? What do your celebrations entail? How do the celestial bodies remind you of the Force?"
