Nova was lucky that Cheriss had other things to do. If it hadn’t been for urgent business regarding the disappearance of the doctor, she would have made sure that the girl received proper punishment for interrupting her in the middle of her negotiations with such an inappropriate comm call. The audacity! Despite her telling him otherwise, she’d ended up killing the Nautolan anyway because she was certain that there was no way he would have kept his mouth shut about something like that. Her reputation would have been utterly ruined, and it would have been Nova’s fault.

Fortunately for the girl, that wouldn’t be the sole focus of their meeting today. Of course, Cheriss hadn’t gotten over that whole incident just yet and vehemently loathed the prospect of seeing her again, but this was something she simply wasn’t willing to do with Kayden. She had to maintain some kind of edge over him— and so she’d begrudgingly texted her apprentice to meet her at this specific location outside the Botajef spaceport.

It was a quiet and secluded place, as far away from prying eyes and ears as one could get in a city. Its owner, an unlucky human man, was crumpled against the side of the desk she sat at. Not dead, but he would be out for quite a while and definitely wouldn’t be able to remember what had happened given the amount of alcohol he’d ingested beforehand.

Leaning back in her seat, Cheriss would wait for Nova to arrive, ready to inform her about the mission up ahead, and perhaps something a little extra. The method she would use to give her lesson would be up to the girl.

So Cheriss still wanted her help on a mission...that was surely interesting. Even though Nova had been utterly drunk on that yacht, she had remembered what Arla had done on her phone. Unfortunately, she also remembered that she herself had chosen that dare, which was quite a stupid thing in retrospective, but she cared little about that fact after all.

What she did care about was how to get out of this admittedly tricky situation, as she couldn't have Cheriss pissed for the next few days, but she had already carefully chosen her words beforehand, so that she was hoping the brunette would simply accept her excuse and be done with it.

As she entered the place where Cheriss was supposed to meet her she still wasn't sure how the Champion would react, but her steps were confident as her first attempt of getting out of that would be to pretend nothing had happened. "It's been a while...you look good" she nonchalantly greeted the woman with a subtle smirk on her lips, hoping that a compliment would potentially lighten the mood.

She had no idea why Cheriss had chosen that unconventional venue, yet she didn't bother to ask right now. Perhaps the champion would choose to enlighten her, but even if not, that would be fine with her. "So I heard you have some work for me?". Maybe Cheriss had simply forgotten about that inappropriate call...

When Nova walked in, Cheriss was glaring daggers at her the entire time she spoke. The acolyte complimented her appearance and then immediately jumped to the mission. Was she simply going to pretend that nothing had happened? After putting her reputation on the line? She’d almost lost her ship because of that!

She stood up from her chair, meeting Nova’s eyes. “I look good, hmm? How did you look to the person you were kriffing when you called me?” She walked around the desk, coming to a stop in front of Nova. Not once did she break eye contact. “I hope you enjoyed it. Because the man who stole my ship certainly did.”

Her fingers curled, lightning sparking from the tips before she suddenly remembered the incident on Thila. Control yourself. She sucked in a breath through her nose before relaxing her hands again, looking to the side wall for a moment. Things could be so karking frustrating at times. Instead, she let out an exasperated sigh.

“You’re lucky we have more important things to do today. But give me a call like that again and I won’t let you off with just a few words. Understand?” Cheriss shoved her hands inside her pockets, scowling at Nova before waiting for her response. Regardless of what she said, she would head back over to the desk and turn on the holomap that sat on top of it.

“Aside from that, this is the main reason I asked for you today. We’re going to Dagobah.” She zoomed in on the planet, highlighting a location in its southern hemisphere. Glancing at Nova to make sure she was following, Cheriss went on.

“This man,” a hard heel to his gut showed Nova who she was talking about, “had knowledge of a Sith holocron located here. A holocron that teaches one how to take the energy of others and take it for themselves.” A smile appeared on her lips at that. “And we’re going to get it. Any questions?”

As soon as she began to speak, her tone icy and her gaze deadly Nova's eyes narrowed. If the Champion tried to attack her -not just verbally- she would be prepared. She had tried to stay friendly and simply evade the topic, but Cheriss was apparently rather resentful...great.

She kept the eye contact, her muscles tensing up as she internally prepared to push her back, but after the first lightning sparks at started to crackle, she suddenly let it go to Nova's surpise. "That...wasn't even me. That was a stupid friend that stole my phone while being drunk" she replied as calm as she could as she told her half-truth as convincingly as possible. "I'm sorry about your ship though" she then added quietly, this time actually honest now. Nova might not have had much love to spare for others, yet she had some history with the fiery woman in front of her and she even respected her strongly, so her story did affect her the slightest bit.

As soon as Cheriss exhaled, Nova's tense muscles relaxed. She let out a quiet sigh out herself as she began making her way through the room, examining the slight mess Cheriss had left behind. "What did he who?" she curiosly asked the champion, a half amused, half sadistic smile on her lips as she nodded to the slouched remains of the man.

However soon after that question was posed, the Champion went on and Nova -being definitely intrigued- tilted her head to the side as her gaze still lingered on the man. "Dagobah?" she repeated with a hint of disbelief, but the sadistic smile widened. "That surely sounds interesting". That was a shameless understatement. "I'm so down. How promising...but unlucky for that fool. How did someone like him obtain such knowledge?" she went on, her voice soft and airy as she squatted down next to what remained of him. "Then let's finish him off and be on our way then" she glanced up at her, her gaze almost bloodthirsty.

Cheriss glanced at the man at her feet as she unplugged her data pad and put it back in her pocket. The map shut off, and she made her way back to the middle of the room.

“He’s a historian. Works for some museum or other around here. He knows lots of things, but refuses to wiggle his tongue unless there’s some kind of pain involved.” Why am I starting to sound like Kayden? The thought was concerning but she pushed it to the side.

“At any rate, we’ll have to keep him alive. He could be useful again in the future— I’ve already wiped his mind of this particular incident.” She smiled at Nova, who looked eager to kill the poor man. “Sorry to disappoint you.” Or maybe I’m not.

“We’ll take a shuttle to Dagobah, and I’ll send you the map on the way. Sound good?” Without waiting for an answer, Cheriss would make her way out of the room, but she stopped right outside the doorway as she turned back one more time to look at Nova.

“Oh and, by the way, don’t let anyone take your comm again. I’d hate to hear you come up with another excuse.” With that, she would head for the spaceport, ready to make way for swamps of Dagobah.

As Cheriss began to tell her about the man's backstory she listened attentively, but her sadistic gaze never left this guy. "Unlucky for him that he was in possession of such highly sensitive information..." she sarcastically remarked as she recklessly let the nail of her index finger ran across the cheek.

"I feel like they always need to feel before they talk. Such a waste" she shrugged as she got back to her feet again. "Ugh, what a bummer" she then complained, rolling her eyes in an annoyed manner before she decided to let it go though. "But you're right", she still agreed with her on that. Maybe he would be useful again.

She followed Cheriss, the devious smirk returning to her lips as she was looking forward to that mission, but then the champion suddenly decided to stop her. She glared at her for a moment, briefly considering a snappy reply, for after all she had too much respect for the woman. "I'll keep an eye on it" she then replied quite neutraly, starting to move forward again after her concealed promise. She would indeed never try to be so stupid again, but on the other hand, the effects of alcohol were sometimes quite mysterious.

The two women made their way to the spaceport and the next shuttle to Dagobah was almost about to depart when they entered it, so they were indeed right on time. Nova received the map from Cheriss and studied it in silence for a while, before she glanced out of the viewport for a moment. The ride wasn't too long, but the brunette acolyte quickly wanted to use the remaining time to catch up with her. "So what have you been up to? Did something interesting happen?" she wasn't sure whether she even wanted to talk, but they would land soon anyway.

Cheriss looked out the viewport of the shuttle, wondering about how this “life-drain” was actually supposed to work. Would she only be able to use it on one person at a time? How much would it heal, and how much energy would it cost her? She had plenty of test subjects if she wanted to practice, once she’d learned. The doctor would just have to let her—

Nova asked a question, and Cheriss looked over. Oh. It was good that she was in a better mood now, because if not she’d probably have shocked her for sticking her nose into other people’s business.

“I’ve been trying some new things. Learning, testing.” She shrugged. “Nothing much.” Nothing she would tell Nova— at least not now. She looked down, saw the burn on her left hand and covered it with her other so it was out of view.

“You? How’s your training coming along? I know I’ve not been the most… attentive.” She didn’t know or care if Nova resented her for that, but she did want her acolyte to be strong, and to become a Sith that people feared. How would it look if she didn’t? Maybe I should focus more on her training. But that was what she was doing today. Both would grow stronger if all went well, and that satisfied her enough.

Nova immediately knew what the brunette was up to. Of course she wouldn't he honest about it. Of course she would give her the cheapest excuse she would find. Of course she would hide her true intentions...she just knew her well enough.

She still refrained from rolling her eyes or poking her further because she knew how she would react to that. Perhaps she would sooner or later decide to tell her more, but until then she would just wait. She somehow, couldn't shake the feeling that she had been up to something bigger...she wouldn't have just stumbled upon that historian, right?

"I see...so just the usual business" she remarked casually, pretending she wasn't interested in further investigations. "Training is good. I'll be done soon. Just waiting for the trials" she just shrugged, but there was a smirk on her lips. It was true that her training went well and she was one of the top students in each class, yet she was known for getting into trouble with the instructors but after all, this was nothing new.

The shutyle was already entering the atmosphere and so everything began to shake, but after some more time the descent got smoother, or at least as smooth as possible for landing on such a wild, swampy forest planet. "I hope we won't encounter any trouble...or even worse, others that are after the same thing" she remarked while critically glancing around.

Cheriss nodded at Nova’s remark about the trials. While she hadn’t had the most… traditional training for a Sith, everyone had to go through those eventually in one form or another.

“Let me know if you need help preparing for them.” She would not have Nova failing them if she could help it. As for any others potentially having the same goal… she doubted it would happen as she’d gone through a great deal of trouble getting the information out of the man, but it wasn’t impossible. It would be best to watch out for any competitors, and if necessary, eliminate them. Nova would earn an approving look from Cheriss as a result for considering it— planning ahead was important.

“Best to be careful. We’ll keep an eye out.”

Soon enough the ship touched down in a clearing that served as a landing pad, letting the pair off. The moment the ramp opened, they would be hit with a blast of warm, humid air. Fortunately, she was dressed for the climate, with waterproof hiking boots and pants and a loose rain jacket she could take off if needed. She had a backpack of supplies too, in case they were stuck out here for a while.

“Map says to go… this way.” She turned around, looking toward a dense collection of trees, overgrown shrubs, and vines. Ugh. It made sense that there wasn’t a path, but having to walk miles through that she wasn’t looking forward to. Well, if they were going to reach that holocron, they would have to brave the wilderness. “Alright. Let’s take it slow. We’re not going let a few plants stop us.”

Nova was quite surpised as Cheriss offered her her help and she couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow. So far, she had not always perceived her as a caring person, but apparently she did care when it came to her acolyte.

Well, after all the instructors might even give her shit if Nova failed and embarrassed the two of them. It could potentially fall back onto Cheriss...so maybe that was partly the reason. It was still usually kind and Nova...even appreciated that. Even if it felt admittedly weird. "Thanks..." she curtly replied, but her tone was surprisingly warm for her. She even forced herself to a short, appreciative smile before she directed her gaze back into the direction of the viewport, watching the last part of their decent.

As they finally started alighting, Nova was immediately hit by that humid wave of hot air. "Ugh gross. I've read about it, but I never thought it would be that bad" she complained, obviously pissed at the climate. Unlike Cheriss, Nova hadn't specifically planned and packed for that trip, so she was wearing a regular uniform.

The boots she was wearing would only be waterproof for a while, so she couldn't wait to get it over with."Have you packed some bug spray? I feel like it's buzzing everywhere" she sighted, scowling as she glanced around and set the first foot on the damp soil.

Can't wait to leave that swamp hell again, she thought, quite annoyed already. She knew that what they were looking for was promising, but this planet sucked already. "Do we really go through that thicket? I don't wanna think about what looms in the secluded areas" she remarked sarcastically, not exactly afraid but just not...prepared somehow.

As Nova brought up her doubts, Cheriss realized that the acolyte was not dressed for this at all. It was mostly, if not all, her fault for not telling her apprentice that they were coming to Dagobah until they were about to leave. Of course, she wouldn’t admit that aloud, but still. Kark. Should have planned this out better. She’d have to be more thorough next time instead of finding the first chance she could get to get away from the lab.

“Here’s the bug spray.” She dug it out of her bag and tossed it to Nova, trying to think of what they could do here. Looking at the ground, no one would last long without some waterproof boots, but they could try to keep to the dry parts as much as possible. Hopefully that wouldn’t lengthen their trip too much.

“Let’s… stay on the dirt for now. We’ll keep as close to the path as we can without getting your feet wet.” Glancing at Nova, Cheriss made for the thicket, peering through it to get a better look at the “path” ahead of them. Igniting her lightsaber, she sliced through some of the plants to create a large enough space for her to test the ground. When she put her foot down, however, it broke almost immediately and she’d pretty much stepped into a giant puddle.

“...Maybe not this way.”
Was there somewhere to go around? We’ve haven’t even started and we’re stuck. Great.

Nova tried her best not to lose her patience or her temper, yet this humid climate was making it hard to stay happy. She kept waking her arms in front of her face, trying to slap away all those annoying insects that apparently wanted to suck her blood right now, and with each and every step she took the soil seemed to be getting even wetter.

It's for the holocron. It's for the holocron' she kept telling herself, but she was still scowling while she fretfully waded through the swamps. "Thanks" she quickly replied to Cheriss, catching the spray with ease before completely cloaking herself in a thick layer of spray.

She ended up coughing, but was hoping it would be worth it. "Here" she tossed it back, her face still saying 'ugh', but she kept her complaints to herself right now. "Sounds good" she then sighed, but immediately saw that Cheriss stepped in an actual puddle herself.

"I do hate this planet already" the brunette acolyte muttered frustratedly as she ignited her lightsaber as well, directing it to the ground to check whether there were any fully dry spots, but she gave up after a few moments. "It seems like this won't be easy, but let's just keep moving. We can dry ourselves later. I just hope there's nothing living in those...waters". Perhaps it was just wishful thinking, but it was pretty unlikely indeed that everything would go smooth.

Kriffing bugs. They were swarming now, and combined with how dark it was and the plants blocking her view, it was becoming impossible to see. The minute Nova gave her the bug spray back Cheriss would use it too, and she looked forward to the next time she would be able to take a shower.

This place was really starting to get on her nerves.

“Hating it is an understatement,” she grumbled in response to Nova’s comments. “And I really hope you don’t jinx—” She heard a splash coming from up ahead, but when she cut through the vines to find out what it was, she didn’t hear anything more. Instead, what was left in the water were only faint ripples lapping against the shore.

“It’s probably just a frog.” Just then, a massive lizard-creature reared its head above the water directly to the left of the two Sith. Cheriss had to look up quite a bit to see it. Its body coiled like a snake as it stared right at them, fangs gleaming in the dim red light cast by the lightsabers. That’s no frog…

It was a dragonsnake. And it looked hungry. But to Cheriss, it was only in her way.

“Coming to play?” The champion readied her saber.

To that the kriffing bug spray stank was clearly an understatement. Admittedly, Nova had used a bit too much, but that penetrating smell was still burning in her lungs, ultimately making it impossible for her to breathe without coughing.

"Mhm" she agreed with Cheriss once she had finally managed to leave that cloud of bug spray behind, but apparently, insects weren't her only problem. Right as Cheriss mentioned the jinxing it aspect, followed by that daring frog hypothesis, something large began to stir ahead.

"Ugh...a giant lizard thing? Seriously...that's such a cliche. Kriffing planet" she snarled, obviously annoyed but not at all intimidated even though that thing was huge. "Leave that to me" she then added almost enthusiastically, a sarcastic smirk on her lips.

With that, Nova immediately charged forward at the admittedly fearsome creature, quite confident in her attempt to stab right at the creature's massive jaw. The dragonsnake watched her hungrily, instantaneously lunged forward as well in order to meet her readied lightsaber that was pointed right at it.

Still, the beast was clever as it stopped in the very last second, changing its direction to rush past Nova and towards Cheriss instead, apparently assuming that this would catch the second Sith off guard, was it hadn't realized that it was still in Nova's immediate reach and so the acolyte could slash at the beast's right flank, letting it hiss loudly. "Now you're pissed, huh?" she sarcastically scoffed, but she was also realizing that it would take much more to stop it.

“Alright. Have fun.” Cheriss smiled, sheathing her lightsaber and stepping back as she watched Nova leap at the beast. She was well aware of the fact that her apprentice could take care of herself. Their encounter with the gang on Corellia had more than proven it. Still, this dragonsnake was more than five or six times their size— and she would provide backup if needed. She watched closely as Nova aimed her lightsaber for its jaw, and then as the dragonsnake dodged it at the very last second and lunged down for her instead. Big mistake, little snake.

Nova’s lightsaber struck its side, causing it to reel back in pain. However, it still kept up its offensive. It slithered out of the water this time, its forked tongue flicking in and out as it hissed at the two Sith. It rushed at Cheriss and began to coil around her legs, but she didn’t let it do so for long.

Extending her hands, she sent a blast of lightning for the dragonsnake, her lips curling into a smile as she watched it stop mid-movement and twist and turn in agony. It screeched and hissed, a sound just as beautiful as the Togruta girl’s screams on Thila. But this time, she made sure to keep herself in check. Once she let go, the creature was barely moving, its flanks heaving. Oops.

“It’s your kill, Nova.”

Nova watched in horror as this ugly beast charged at Cheriss, but it was indeed no surpise that she knew how to help herself. With the skillful Force Lightning the beast was already closento being fully incapacitated, so that was just an easy game.

"Ugh. No fun" she growled, but there was an obvious hint of sarcasm in her voice as she was rather glad that this thing was not posing any major issues after all. She simply nodded at Cheriss command and slightly turned to get a better angle at that dragonsnake.

Her lightsaber immediately stabbed into the currently motionless reptilian body, setting yet another furious, yet audibly weaker hiss free. She mercilessly moved the ignited lightsaber through the creature's flesh so that it was soon cleanly cut open, the life leabing the creature in an instance.

"And done. It wasn't even too messy" she scoffed slightly Triumphantly as she deactivated the lightsaber, stepping back thereby to avoid the gooey, greenish blood mixture that was now starting to run out.

"Seems like this one was no apex predator after all" she remarked almost amusedly as she already started moving into the original direction of the duo. "Let's just hope it doesn't had any friends nearby".

With a skillful sweep of Nova’s saber, the dragonsnake fell. It was still coiled around Cheriss, but it didn’t move— couldn’t move— when she stepped over it.

“Not bad,” she commented as she followed Nova back onto the path. “And let’s hope not. We got lucky with that one. If it had been in the water the lightning wouldn’t have worked.” Well, it would work— but maybe a little too well, especially if the pair of Sith were standing in the bog.

As they kept moving forward, trudging through the muck and mud of the swamp, the pair would have to avoid various other life forms that didn’t seem so pleasant— snakes from the vines, spiders hanging from the branches, and bograts that darted in and out of the undergrowth. All the while, despite her shoes being waterproof, she could already feel it starting to get wet from the condensation that somehow found its way in. It’ll be worth it, she had to keep reminding herself.

Soon enough, they had arrived at a relatively drier area that led to a low cave. It was barely visible from all the plants covering the entrance, but its presence could be felt. It was cold, and Cheriss felt the darkness from within it.

“This might be the place. Let’s take a look.”

The adrenaline was still pumping through her veins, but she wouldn't let Cheriss notice that. She could have barely called that fight, yet that huge thing had been indeed creepy to some extent. "Your lightning has definitely helped" she replied rather neutrally, not wanting it to sound like an accusations even though it had indeed taken away some fun. Yet, she was simply glad that it was dead now and that they could simply move on.

Her boots were already completed drenched, yet she kept stepping through swamp while scowling strongly. "Next time we go after a holocron that is not hidden on such a disgusting planet" she quipped sarcastically, yet she also partly meant it. It was humid, dark and the ground was completely wet, there were insects and larger disgusting creatures everywhere and she simply wanted to get it over either.

They didn't talk too much until they reached the cave, but once they stopped, her spirits lightened a bit. "Oh perfect. The ground looks slightly more solid at least...it still looks like I definitely need some new boots" she sighed, looking down on her mud covered feet. "I hope you've got a flashlight...it looks even darker inside". Nova usually didn't mind the darkness, yet it felt like something lurked inside...and she somehow had a bad feeling about it.

It had been some time since Thyferra, Zak's recovery had been sped up significantly thanks mostly to the work of the Bacta and Jedi Healers. While he wasn't completely well, he had determined that he was good enough to return back to his wandering where ever the Force called to him. This is how he had come to Dagobah, he felt the Living Force calling him to the surface of the swampy world and so he charted a route in his courier to Sullust. While Zak followed the Will of the Living Force, he wasn't foolish enough to plot a route and jump directly into Sith Space in a Jedi Courier. Instead, both he and his Padawan Lucifrey Sol (@AdventCore) would catch a transport shuttle from Sullust to Dagobah.

This trip was something that Luci wasn't exactly fond of making, a trip into Sith space was ALWAYS risky, even at the best of times. However, Zak felt the need to show his apprentice that she couldn't allow herself to be curbed by territorial divides, especially when it came to listening to the Living Force. Instead, he had to show her that their job as Jedi was to go to where the Force called, help as best they could there, and uncover why it had brought them there in the first place. In essence, Dagobah was an object lesson that he would utilize to express all of these things to her.

The trip from Sullust to Dagobah was relatively event free, there had been a Spice smuggler on board that the Imperial border authorities had arrested during a routine inspection. The event had distracted the rest of the border agents and ensured that Luci and Zak both were able to get into Sith Space without alerting authorities, the Force had protected them once again. Upon reaching the system and stepping off of the transport shuttle, Zak would take a deep breath in through his nose. He expected that he would enjoy the fresh air, that stretching his legs would be a good thing for him, he thought wrong. The stench of the swamp hit him like a ton of bricks and he had to stifle a displeased cough of surprise at just how bad it actually smelled.

"By the Force..." He muttered beneath his breath and he strode onto the landing pad and into the port town.

As Zak usually did, he immediately set to helping the locals with small tasks, unbidden and unasked, simply attempting to make their lives slightly easier. This often led to conversations being stricken up between him and the individuals he helped, which more often than not would lead him to a clue pertaining to why the Force had bidden him here. Dagobah was no different.

After a morning and afternoon of helping out around town, Zak had started a conversation with some of the local Imperial Guardsmen. They had told him of some people who had wandered into the swamps looking for something. The people hadn't come back and while the guard was nervous, they weren't exactly keen on facing the dangers of the swamp themselves. Zak understood immediately what this meant, the Force had guided them here because of these people, what exactly it needed them to do wasn't clear to him yet; however it was a start.

"Luci, I hope you brought muck boots." He teased as he led them from the town and to the edge of the swamp. "The guard I spoke with said that some people went into the swamps looking for something." He explained. "They haven't come back in some time and it's causing some distress." He continued as he glanced over his shoulder to his Padawan learner. "I think that's why the Force called me here, we're going to find these people and then we will be able to see why it called out to me." He said before returning his gaze to the swamp before them and taking the first step into the muck.

The muck of Dagobah pulled at Zak's boots, causing each of his steps to be accented by schlurps and slops, it was a wholly unpleasant experience. However, Zak pushed past the physical discomfort and instead focused wholly on the Force and where it was guiding him. Through it's currents, Zak was able to slowly begin to sense presences tapping into it's currents and twisting it to their wills. He sensed the Dark Side being actively used and felt wildlife being killed as the creature's signatures on the Force were snuffed out of existence. Was this why it had called him here? To deal with Force Sensitive poachers? Or maybe he was to set the individuals straight, bring them onto a path of enlightenment and redemption. Zak quickly shoved those thought aside, they were getting closer to where he had felt the Dark Side being used last and he could hear feminine voices up ahead.

"Hello?" He called out. "Is anyone out here?" He continued. "The Imperial guard said someone might be lost in the swamps, we decided to come and help if possible."

Lucifrey slapped her palm against the hull of the ship as she staggered down the ramp and retched when Dagobah's rancid stench swamped her senses. "Follow the Force, he said..." Her upper body jostled as she gagged like a loth-cat getting ready to cough up a furball. "It'll be fun, he said..." Then the blue-horned Padawan slowly turned her exaggerated grimace back to Zak while she barely held herself up with one hand, and used her other hand to cover the bottom half of her face. She was, of course, mostly just teasing him.

At least her custom dry-suit would keep her skin clean enough, though she had to keep a loose dark blue poncho over it to blend in a bit better. Plus it helped to cover the small blaster pistol on her left hip and the tight black utility belt with multiple compartments, one of which subtly concealed her lightsaber, and another for a single med-stim.

Thankfully she'd managed to keep out of the mucky pools so far, and she kept her personal translator mask on just to help block some of the smell, and because this felt like a place where she'd want to appear less like a Jedi right now anyway. She hoped her strange black mask helped to sell that image at least a tiny bit. Zak certainly seemed a bit more comfortable about being in Empire territory uninvited than she was, but she'd been through enough with him by now to trust his judgement and the Will of the Force.

After their bog trek she remained silent and vigilant just outside the cave entrance while Zak addressed the voices within. Hopefully these were the people they were looking for, and they'd be able to get off-world before they encountered any Sith.

Luci's muscles slightly tensed as she felt a creeping vibe slither up her spine and ripple across her lithe frame. She gradually swiveled her head to scan the environment for any threats, making sure to proceed into the cave a short distance behind Zak if he were to venture in any further.
