Personality

Cheriss is cold and unforgiving when it comes to getting what she wants. Following the death of the one person she loved, she became hateful of the uncaring world and galaxy around her. Though she doesn’t know it, it is a reflection of the anger she has towards herself for not doing more to keep her family together. She doesn’t trust easily and will turn on someone in a heartbeat if doing so benefits her.

Biography

Cheriss was born on Corellia to two parents who worked at a spice refinery. As her family was unable to afford a place to live, she grew up on the streets, dressed in little more than rags. She soon turned to petty crime as a way to survive, even if her parents discouraged it. They frequently tried to convince the young girl that someday their situation would get better, that there would be an opportunity for a better life if only they waited long enough. Cheriss didn’t share their hopes, and believed that the only way to improve their condition of living was to remain in the here and now and take whatever they needed for themselves, regardless of how it affected others.

She discovered that she was Force-sensitive when she ended up getting into a scuffle with another street urchin over a can of soup. When he refused to give it to her, she choked him to death in her anger. Even if the effort had cost her much of her energy, and she had little to no idea what had just happened, she was strangely satisfied in having gotten what she wanted in the end. Reveling at this new discovery of her gift in the Force, though she didn’t know it by name, she rushed home to tell her parents. Unfortunately, when she arrived home with the news, she found out that her mother had become seriously ill from an unknown disease, and that her father had disappeared without a trace.

Ever since then, she roamed the streets looking for food, money, and medicine to take back to her mother. Over the course of a few years, she learned the basics of using the Force to her own benefit. She had little idea what these abilities meant, but she knew one thing— they made her powerful. More powerful than anyone around her. She also learned the art of persuasion, whether it be through sweet-talking or, if the other person refused to cooperate, violence. She saw no shame in doing either.

Currently, she is seeking to do her part for the Sith Order, seeing it as a way to further her own power. Someday, she would be able to exact her revenge on the galaxy, in one form or another.
