Coruscant
, dusk
onboard the Shinigami

"Now arriving at - Coruscant." Shini finally chimed in over the sleek starship's surround sound as the Shinigami pulled out of hyperspace's azure vortex and reemerged in the abyssal void of realspace just outside the cityscape that was Coruscant.

Nearly 10 hours had passed since the pair of beings onboard, Kyosuke and Seela, had survived the swelling tides, which hadn't been long after they'd managed to escape from the not so humble beginnings of their difficult adventure together...

Kyosuke Yamato hadn't budged a muscle for the entire length of their journey. All the way from the Hollow on the far side of the galaxy to Coruscant he'd remained unable to move at all. His pale grey eyes were still glazed and dilated, barely open and unflinching as he watched the ripples of Seela's supernova Light shine across his foggy vision. His breaths were weak and faint, his exposed chest barely rising and falling as he laid on the couch in the ship's lounge with the black silky blanket on him that Seela had used to tuck him in.

Gremlin would have eventually unplugged himself from the power unit downstairs, and would've made his way up to the pair where he'd let out a gloomy whimper at what he found there. If Seela allowed him then the little scout droid would curl up into her lap to keep her company while they watched over the nearly paralyzed Knight. Otherwise, Grem would respect her decision and watch over his bestie from the holotable instead.

Shini would soon descend through Coruscant's atmosphere and busy skylanes towards a district in the upper levels of the ecumenopolis that she, Grem, and Kyo had all visited before. A few moments later the Shinigami would slow and lower into one of the planet's many spaceports before the landing gear extended, and the starship touched down. They'd finally arrived.

Gremlin would then project a light blue holo-map of the local area next to Seela, labeling their current location in one of the spaceport's docking bays with a green dot and a 'You Are Here' before he'd then scroll the map slightly with a faint digitized whirling sound to a green doorway at a small medical clinic within a mile of them. He'd then look up to Seela with a soft coo, hoping beyond hope that she would have the energy to get up and help him save Kyo.

Seela had been keeping an eye on Kyosuke for the past ten hours, increasingly worried. Fortunately, his condition seemed to stabilise after he collapsed, which was a big relief.
When Gremlin had come up, she had mechanically taken him in her arms, cuddling the little droid, and focusing on keeping the dark side at bay.
To say she was exhausted was very much an understatement! She wasn't sure she could even crawl anywhere at this point! Staying awake demanded more energy than she was willing to admit.

"That's good, the clinic is close by! I'm so sorry little one, even if I really want to come with you, I'm not sure I have the energy to even get to my feet, so carrying your friend on that kind of distance... Can you run to the clinic, and tell them to come with a gurney, or something? Oh, and tell them that he might have been poisoned for around 36 hours, ok? I'll stay with Kyosuke, and make sure he's okay until you come back, ok?"

Seela booped the little droid, trying to reassure him best she could, plastering a smile on her face.

Gremlin hesitated and lowered his head with a dejected whimper. The holo-map cut away, and he paused for a moment to consider the options. After a few moments he finally decided to go with Seela's decision. He understood she was exhausted, and would have to go it alone. For her and his bestie. Grem nodded his head, then let out a quick beep to show he understood before he then hopped down.

Grem would then dash over to the cargo lift and leap up to perch on the bit of railing that was next to it's control panel. He'd then swiftly press the button to lower the wall-less elevator all the way. As the lift lowered he'd turn back to Seela, and give a sincere wave with one of his little footpads. He'd then look over to his bestie and release a soft whine while he slowly disappeared to the landing pad below.

The lone scout droid pattered across the metallic floor as he scampered away as fast as his little legs would take him. He'd turn his big head and look back at the Shinigami for a brief moment, not stopping as he worried for his bestie and watched the glowing sun set behind the eclipsed form of their starship -- their home. What if he didn't make it in time? What if he couldn't get help? What if... Kyo passed while he was gone?

Then Gremlin would shake his noggin and pull away, returning his focus forward as he fought against his limited droid conscience to obey Seela's command. He had to trust her, had to believe in himself if he was going to get help for his best friend. He knew where to go. He knew what he had to do. He couldn't fail. He couldn't let them down. The little jet-black scout droid would then turn a corner, and fade from the view of the Shinigami.

Seela started worrying about the little droid as soon as she lost the feel of him in the force. A mile to go, meant Seela had to gather whatever strenght she still had, and gather Kyo's things, to be ready when the medics arrived. Taking deep breaths, she steeled herself, using the edge of the couch to get her feet under her and get up.
After a few tries, Seela got to her feet.

"Hang in there, Kyosuke, I'll get your things, and Gremlin will be back with help soon! You hear me? You don't die!!!"

Stumbling to her room, she got her collar, which she deftly put on, and her shoes. Slipping in her slave act felt oddly confortable, and helped her stay standing, when all she really wanted was to collapse and sleep!
Next, Seela when to the neat pile of gear she had made when putting Kyosuke to bed last time, and used his blanket to fashion a toga type thing, with all the things bundled in a fold of the fabric. They say necessity is the mother of invention, and it certainly seemed that way to Seela!
Finally, Seela went to check on Kyosuke, before going down to the mechanics workbench, and retrieving the tool Kyosuke used to release her collar, and hid it in the blanket as well, before going back to kneel on the floor at the side of the couch, waiting for Gremlin's return.

Gremlin didn't stop. He ducked and weaved through the giants that towered around him as he desperately sprinted towards the small local medical clinic. The sun would slowly continue to dip behind the horizon far behind him bit by bit as each second passed.

Kyo's breathing began to slow. His chest rose less and less. His eyelids closed slightly more, nearly covering his fading orbs with his effeminate lashes. The tiny bit of ethereal essence that he'd been trying to hold himself together with flickered, nearly fading away. He continued not to move, still numbed from whatever it was that had taken over his body. The burning sensation of his muscles gradually reignited as he grew weaker, yet he still couldn't even flinch from the pain...

It would be nearly half an hour later before the little jet-black droid came scurrying back around the corner of the docking bay with the Shinigami in it. A man who appeared older than Kyo, and who was somewhat larger than him as well, followed behind the successful scout droid who chirped and hopped excitedly at the nurse while they hurried towards the ship. Within a few moments they'd be ascending through the cargo lift. Gremlin would scamper over to the holotable and jump on it while he hooted down at Kyosuke with a sincere set of beeps.

"That must be him, huh?" The tall and broad brunette would stroke his well-groomed goatee and look over to the lavender Twi'lek in the room. "I'm nurse McNeidle with the nearby medical clinic." He'd then glance back over at the catatonic Knight. "He seems unresponsive, doesn't look good... We'd better get him back to the clinic right away." The man would then attempt to approach the young man if Seela allowed him so that he could get ready to lift Kyo. "How long has he been like this?"

"Hello Sir. Yes, he has been in that state for the past 10 hours, while we made our way here... "

Seela surprisingly gracefully stood up, intending on catching up the nurse on the way.

"I have a suspicion he was poisoned before I met him... He has a large gash on his side, that I cauterized around 20 hours ago. He slept for a few hours and seemed better, but suddenly he started having a fever, getting dizzy and numb... "

Seela scooped up Gremlin while talking, and heading to the lift, where she waited for the two men, ready to accompany them to the clinic.

Nurse McNeidle knelt down in front of Kyosuke, then leaned forward, pulled the young man's wrist over the back of his head, and lifted as he stood to bring the bulk of the vulnerable Knight's unmoving body up and over his shoulders. With a grunt he'd then secure Kyo's body around the back of his head and across his shoulders. One of the man's arms remained across the back of the young man's legs while he stretched one of the limp arms across his torso and held onto Kyo's wrist.

"Sounds like we don't have much time then." McNeidle responded to Seela as he quickly made his way back to the cargo lift. Gremlin would gaze over at his bestie from Seela's arms before he then looked up to her and released a soft coo at her. Then the lift would begin to lower, and the group would soon be able to make their way toward the clinic.

As they walked towards the clinic, Seela keeping her eyes to the floor, she continued to give the nurse any detail she tought could be helpful, distractedly stroking the top of Gremlin's head.

"When Master came to the place where he bought me, he was already fairly injured, looked like he had taken a bad beating, and the cut on his side was bleeding quite a bit. We tried patching him up, but then he decided to go back to his ship, so he strained himself again... Master let me tend to his wounds, and I managed to get him to sleep, and he seemed to feel better when he woke up. Talked about freeing me, and was about to remove my collar, when he collapsed."

Seela knew she was babbling, but she was just so tired, that she felt like if she stopped talking, she would fall asleep on the spot. Fortunately, she had the werewittal to spin a cover for the fact that she was stolen! Focusing on putting one foot in front of the other, and not on the looks she might be given, or the chill of the air around her.

"Master? So you're a slave afterall... I wondered, but didn't want to bring it up." Most people along the way stayed out of the path of the man who carried Kyo's limp body over his shoulders. "It's good you helped him. Your Master sounds decent, not that I thought I'd ever say that about someone who owns another person. At least he was going to set you free though."

McNeidle periodically gazed at the Twi'lek from the corner of his eye while they continued onward. "You seem alright, but I've seen people push themselves too hard before like apparently your Master has done. Make sure you don't do the same. Take it easy from here and just focus on sticking by my side for now. Wouldn't want to lose you in the crowd."

The large nurse hardly seemed to struggle as he hurriedly moved along, making sure to keep a pace that Seela would be able to keep up with. He wasn't exactly running, as he knew there was a bad wound on the young man he carried, and he didn't want to agitate it any further. Their somewhat brisk walking speed that was almost a light jog made them take nearly 15 to 20 minutes for them to finally make it to the small medical clinic that was in the back corner of the level they were on...

"Key..." A woman who was slightly taller than Kyosuke, but shorter than McNeidle, appeared near the entrance to the clinic. She pushed one of her pointer fingers against the bridge of her glasses, while her other hand held onto the handle of a grav-bed that she'd brought out for the injured young man. "Don't worry about getting his info from his companion, I already know who he is." The woman tilted her head and pinched the corner of her glasses as she focused her gaze on the lavender Twi'lek. "Though I don't recall him ever being interested in such -" The doctor glanced the ex-slave up and down. "- company."

"Alright... And uh... Apparently he was going to set her free, she claims." McNeidle seemed a bit suspicious of the doctor, but looked like he decided not to pry. "But either way, she says she thinks he's been poisoned for more than twenty hours." He spoke as he made his way to the edge of the repulser gurney and kneeled down.

Nurse McNeidle then gently let Kyosuke down onto the metal bed and began to walk alongside it as the good doctor turned it around and proceeded through the hallway towards the far back rooms. "She also said he has a larger gash at his side, which she cauterized by herself apparently." The man looked back and gave a nod to Seela before he returned his gaze down the hall. "He also started having a fever, got dizzy, and went numb like this about ten hours ago."

"What did you get yourself wrapped up in this time? You fool..." The woman let out a heavy sigh and pulled the young man's hood up over his face to hide it from the camera near the back corner that they were nearly in range of. She'd then lean in closer to McNeidle and would lower her voice to him as she looked back over her shoulder at Seela. "Don't enter any of this into the HoloNet database yet. Create a temporary patient file, but leave the name blank for now. Then prep the lab for analysis." She'd then break away from him as he stopped and tilted his head at her with a curious arch of the brow. "And don't mention this to anyone."

"Sure thing..." He stood there for a moment, trying to gauge the situation while the doctor turned the corner into the back and disappeared with the unmoving Kyosuke. McNeidle would then hesitate a moment before he began to make his way back toward a small office that was tucked away behind the entrance and lobby. "-- the kriff is going on here?"

Neither of them seemed to pay much attention to Seela, other than the quick glances. They hadn't even bothered to get her name for now. The Twi'lek would pretty much be able to follow either one of them, or neither, without being turned away by them at the moment. Other than them, nobody else seemed to currently be at the clinic.

"Master is the most decent person I have met in my life... Fortunately, I seem to have a better sense of self preservation than Master, so you don't have to worry about me. As long as I can rest in the next fourteen hours, I will be perfectly fine. I also have no intention of losing Master, but if we get separated, little Gremlin here knows the way to the clinic, so I can still get there."

Seela was quite jealous of thenurse'sability to just carry Kyosuke without strain, and the lenght of his legs. While he didn't run, his brisk pace had Seela forced to run in spurts to catch up, when he wasn't looking. Her body was screaming at her that she needed rest, but she just ignored it, and went in a somewhat meditative state, heightening her awareness of her surroundings, and allowing her to very subtly pull from the Force around them, to replenish herself slightly.

Instantly when they entered the clinic, Seela was on her guard, which was made worse when the woman seemed to know Kyosuke, and be sketchy about it. She also didn't like the judging glance she was given, and how it might badly affect Kyosuke's reputation. Seela was absolutely not going to leave Kyosuke vulnerable and alone with this woman! She noted how she concealed his face from a camera, and did her best to discreetly avoid giving the camera a good look at her and Gremlin.
Seela tailed the woman, somehow managing to do so quite silently, despite her high heeled shoes.

The doctor didn't even seem to notice Seela trailing behind her as she disappeared into the room at the far back. Gremlin remained quiet, and kept himself curled up in Seela's arms as best he could. He tried to draw as little attention as possible, and followed the girl's example as she led with some decent stealth.

The woman would then turn to a medical droid in the corner of the small room, which was in the back corner of the clinic's L-shaped hallway. "Haytch-Three, move our patient here to the bed."

"A new customer?! Oh happy da--!" The gunmetal-grey medical droid, with the designation H3-4L labeled on his chest, would turn around to face the newcomers as he raised his arms to cheer, but was cut off by the doctor before he could finish.

"Can it! You've worked on this boy before." The woman seemed to be growing increasingly unpleasant and impatient with each moment. She maneuvered the metallic grav-bed in between two other much more comfortable looking medical beds with actual mattresses and pillows. She then pulled Kyo's hood back as H3 approached. "Just help me get him in the bed you tin-can. Gently!"

"But I don't recognize him." The medical droid tilted his head at Kyosuke to give the unflinching young man a good look over before he'd finally obey the doctor and began to move him to the bed.

"That's because some information isn't worth holding onto." She tried to act like it didn't bother her at all, tried to keep her volume down, but there was a clear hint of seriousness and concern in her voice.

H3 gasped as though he'd been offended. "You've been wiping my memories?! How many?"

"Look, Haytch, don't worry about it." H3 would tilt his head in the other direction before the doctor continued. "For now just focus on getting some samples from the patient's blood, then get them to the lab for analysis - stat - got it?" Her narrow eyes shot up to the tall droid's visual sensors, who looked back down at her and gave her a series of obedient nods. "Good. And hit him with a hypo-spray first. We can strip him down and worry about the rest of his wounds once we've got the tox' started."

Once the doctor was finished giving out orders and saw H3 get to work she'd then begin to turn her attention back to the lavender Twi'lek, who seemed to surprise the woman for a moment before she collected herself. "Oh! Ahem. I assume you're going to be a good slave and stick by your Master, hm? I'm not sure where you come from, and I don't want to know, but on this planet slavery is generally seen as bad, so you should stay here, preferably in the back if you can. There's a refresher right there -" She'd point to a door at the left side of the room. "- and this is probably going to take a couple days to get him back on his feet, if he even makes it through this, so you can use that bed over there while you wait." The doc would then point to another comfy looking bed that was a little over an arm's length away to the right of Kyo's current bed.

The woman would then push up her glasses once more, and crossed her arms over her voluptuous chest as she glared at the Twi'lek. "Just don't go wandering down to the lower levels if for some reason you do feel like leaving, hon." She paused and gave the apparent slave another once over with her teal eyes. "Well not looking like that anyway, unless you're trying to draw the wrong kind of attention. We can keep you safe here. And any other info you have about his condition that you haven't already told the nurse would be helpful."

Seela liked the lady less and less the more she saw her interacting with the poor droid. She couldn't understand how such a person chose to become a doctor! Nurse MacNeedle seemed fine, genuinely worried, and wanting to help...
When the woman adressed her, Seela fought her urge to bristle at how unpleasant of a person she was. Internally smirking, she decided to hit her with good old slave retaliation. Heading to the wall between Kyosuke's bed and the bed the lady pointed to, Seela gracefully fell to her knees, back against the wall, and put Gremlin on the floor in front of her gently. Then, she bowed her head until her nose almost brushed the floor, before straightening her back slowly, and adressing the woman.

"We are eternally grateful that Madam found in her heart the compassion to take care of Master in His moment of need. Your willingness to help, and the heartfelt care you displayed will be expressed to Master, when He is able to take action again, so that He may reward you for your services."

Seela let a soft grateful smile grace her face, actually quite proud of her spiel. Deciding to go on with her act, she bowed her head slightly, continuing on.

"I wouldn't dream of leaving Master in His time of need! I will inform Master of the care you had, in insuring the safety of His assets. I believe I told Nurse McNeidle everything I knew and observed about Master's condition as soon as I could. I needed to make sure the proper care was taken as soon as possible. Delaying Master's treatment would have been an incredible slight against Him."

Seela then let her face fall in a serene mask, gaze fixed on the floor six inches in front of her knees, giving Gremlin a few soft pats on his head. She noted to herself that she would really have to thank him later, when they weren't watched.

"Hm." The doctor gently tapped the side of her mouth while she watched and listened to Seela. "Well that's lovely, dear." She didn't seem to have a hint of sarcasm or attitude, though there was a bit of distraction in the way she responded. It was as though the calmness in Seela's actions had affected her, helped her to calm her own nerves. If only a little bit at least. She'd then inhale sharply and turned to H3. "If she gets in the way, or passes out, then just put her in the bed." She shook her hand loosely at the extra bed and walked away.

"Yes, doctor." The medical droid looked down at Seela as he maneuvered next to her with a hypo-spray. He then turned his attention back to Kyosuke, pulled the cloak back and down, then began to use the spray on the young man's large laceration and the rest of the small cuts across his badly bruised torso.

Gremlin was looking around confused, starting with Seela's spiel. He didn't interject though, and followed along with a nod at the doctor before the woman had disappeared back out into the hallway. Once the woman was gone the little scout droid would softly paw one of his footpads at Seela to make sure she was okay, while his big head looked up at her and tilted with a soft and concerned whine. He'd then gaze up at Kyo, who he was still worried about as well. After awhile he'd crawl under the vacant bed and stayed near Seela while he curled up under himself, then cycled into a low-power sleep mode to conserve energy.

---

Dusk gradually fell to night. About an hour went by while the doctor, nurse, and medical droid all went in and out of the room several times. H3 had managed to get the blood samples to the lab, then returned to the young man to administer some expert first aid to the beaten Knight's many wounds. Kyosuke would be stripped all the way down to his tight black silky briefs, where even more bruises and cuts were revealed across his limbs.

There was some more concern from the doc and nurse as they talked in the hallway just outside Kyo's room. They discussed the results of the toxicology report, and seemed confused by one of the two poisons that had been detected in his blood. They tried to keep their voices down as they nearly argued with each other about the boy's condition, with McNeidle growing increasingly wary of how Kyo had made it so long without any kind of antidote. The phrase, "He has to be some kind of Sith or Jedi-" would pop up only once before the doc shushed him and told him not to repeat "those words".

McNeidle would eventually attempt to bring Seela some nutritious food and purified water at some point, leaving it nearby if she chose not to consume them right away. "Don't worry. He'll be alright. We're synthesizing something right now that should help him." He'd try to reassure her that everything was fine, but seemed unconfident and somewhat shaky while he stared at Kyo. "Who..." He looked back to Seela. "-what- is he?"

On one hand, Seela was slightly disappointed that she didn't get more of a reaction from the woman, and internally pouted at having been robbed of her entertainment. On the other hand, Seela knew that being overlooked gave her advantage.
From her spot on the floor, Seela kept watch over Kyosuke, keeping her senses trained on her surroundings. She also took a mental note of the diverse procedures used to deal wity Kyosuke's many wounds, to remember and study later.
At Gremlin's questioning pat, she winked and was relieved the little droid didn't pry more in her act.

After a while, spent in watching the nurse, medical droid, and the woman come and go in the room, a hushed conversation just outside the door caught Seela's ear. Nurse MacNeedle (with a name like his, he his parents must have really wanted him to work in the medical field!) was discussing the lab report on the poisons in Kyosuke's blood. Seela mentally cheered at having been correct. She also took note of the fact that there was two poisons. Whoever attacked Kyosuke really wanted the aftermath to be nasty! They really made sure that Kyosuke had no choice but to go to a decent clinic equipped with a lab, or he died. Sure, it had been before Seela met him, but that could mean that whoever was after Kyo would maybe have access to the holonet's medical data base, and would probably be using them to get Kyosuke's location, in case Kyosuke survived. Earlier, Seela had considered sleeping a little, but now she scraped that option. They might be in a medical facility, but they still weren't safe, so no sleeping!
Seela then heard the nurse talk about Kyosuke being a sith or a jedi. She remembered that Kyosuke had mentioned the jedi, when introducing her to the force. Seela surmised that jedi and sith must be force users. Considering how adamant Kyosuke had been about how "Dark side BAD", the group he was linked to probably only uses the Light. Which means that the other group probably uses the Dark side. Remembering how Kyosuke only mentioned the jedi, Kyosuke was probably with that group.
From the woman's reaction, Seela gathered that she probably knew about Kyosuke being with the jedi dudes, and wanted to keep it secret, for some reason. Now, the woman's earlier sketchiness made sense. Seela also guessed that even if ot was for different reasons, keeping Kyosuke's identity off the records definitely worked in Kyosuke's favor, in regards to keeping those who poisoned him off his trail.
Seela begrudgingly admitted to herself that the woman might be a worthy ally in the future.

Seela was glad to hear that Kyosuke would soon receive an antidote, and hoped it would work quickly. She then slightly frowned at the slight incomfort she felt from the nurse, towards Kyosuke. She would have to make things right! She actually was somewhat fond of the nurse, and Seela knew scared people often made bad decisions.

"Those are good news to hear! It is a relief to know that Master has a good fighting chance. As for what Master is, well, currently, I believe Master is one of your patients, a truly decent being, and my most recent Master. That is all I need to know, and it should be all the information that you need to properly do your work, right?"

Seela wished the nice nurse did not ask more questions, because she didn't like having to lie to him.

The nurse eyed Seela cautiously for a moment, not completely satisfied, but seemingly reassured enough to calm his nerves a bit. "Alright." He said as he let out a deep breath and curled his fingers around his chin. "Well, it's mostly enough to do our work. You see based on the toxicology report -" He looked to the hallway door, then back to Kyo as he leaned back against the extra bed. His volume would drop just a notch as he slightly leaned toward Seela.

"- your Master has been resisting the effects of the poisons for much longer than a normal person would be able to. Now I know there are some special people out there that can tap into some magical energies to do stuff like that, but they usually fall into one of two categories." He then gradually turned his head toward the Twi'lek. "And either one of them could be extremely bad for us, and this clinic. So it would be nice to know if he's one of them or if he's maybe just more than human. Could always run a DNA test I suppose..."

McNeidle crossed his arms, straightened his back and gazed back at Kyo's catatonic body. "Just to be sure, of course."

How naive could that nurse be??? Not that Seela knew much more than him, but she definitely knew enough to know that getting the answer to his question would definitely be worse for the nurse than not knowing!
Clearing her throat, she put a serious look on her face, before adressing the nurse.

"Sir, I do not know a thing about those supposed... wizards you are mentioning, Master is merely a human that often deal with threats to their lifes. While I haven't known Master for long, I wouldn't be surprised if he had been partially immunised to certain poisons by exposition. However, if, like you said, Master really was one of those magical people, I advise against asking about it, for your own sake. From what I gather, the mere knowledge of such a person could mean trouble for you and the clinic. In that situation, it would deeply be in your favor that you had no awareness of those magic people, and just continue working safely. As they say, ignorance is bliss."

Seela dearly hoped that this time, MacNeidle would heed her warnings, and stop questioning! She had given him a very plausible explanation if he absolutely needed it, but still... Maybe changing subjects would help...

"On another note, you were talking about the report? Does this mean you could identify the poisons used?"

McNeidle brushed one of his hands behind his head and blinked big before narrowing his eyes at the young man. The man then blew out a very heavy sigh and bobbled his head a little bit while he considered what the apparent slave was telling him. "Well if he is one, and if he's on the wrong side of the war, then when his enemies find out we helped him and harbored him here then I don't think it's going to matter whether we actually knew he was one or not. There could be some really bad consequences if we don't turn him in before they find out."

He glanced over at Seela then nodded and took another big breath. "If he's often dealing with threats to his life then that kinda sounds like he might be one. Or maybe he's just a bounty hunter or something like that. I don't know. It is possible for some people to have a tolerance to the poisons they use, and I guess he could be someone that uses them himself. But there is something else..."

The nurse glanced back to the door to make sure the doctor and medical droid were still busy elsewhere. His hand would then move from the back of his head to the side of his jaw while he'd return his gaze to the unresponsive Knight. "One of the poisons we identified is a modified version of the Dendriton Toxin, which looks like it came from whatever weapon caused the large gash you told me about, likely some kind of knife. It must still be in the experimental stages, since we don't really have very many accounts of it affecting humans to this degree, and it doesn't match any others we have files on. Meaning he must've been after whoever it was that developed it, or whoever was testing it. He might've even been apart of it himself, I don't really know."

The man periodically checked to make sure they weren't being snooped on while he continued to address Seela with a slightly more calm yet suspiciously curious tone. "From what the report shows, he should've been completely paralyzed within just a couple hours of being wounded, if that. And that's not even including the side effects of the other poison."

Well, visibly, the man couldn't take a hint, to save his life, litteraly! How aggravating! What a shame... He really seemed like a decent person... In that case...
Looking squarely to the nurse's eyes for a split second, allowing him to see her seriousness, then lowering her gaze once again, Seela made her last threat.

"I'm sorry Sir. Whatever you believe Master is, regardless of what Master is, if you plan on turning him over to someone, it will have to be over my dead body. Please, do not mistake this as a threat, as you and I both know I am in no state to really be a threat to you. I am merely stating a fact. As long as I am alive, I will keep you from threatening Master. I have no doubt you are physicaly able to kill me. But could a person dedicated to healing really live with themselves after killing a defenseless being?"

Last warning made! Now, hopefully to distract the man! Dendriton was actually quite familiar to Seela, and she winced, in sympathy for Kyosuke. That toxin was truly aweful!

"Dendriton, you say... Stars bless his soul... The pain Master must have been in, without even being able to voice his suffering... "

Seela was truly shaken, but she still played it up, letting out a tear or two for the benefit of the nurse.

"What was the other one?"

She was aware of the food brought for her, but Seela couldn't even think about eating. She had failed Kyo, she didn't deserve food! She deserved nothing, and she would take nothing, Master might not be there to punish her, but it didn't mean she couldn't be punished!

The man glanced at Seela with a look of sincerity and compassion. Almost as if he was hurt by what she said. "I wouldn't harm you. You needn't worry about that. I just want to do what's right for everyone, not just one or two people, so I'm taking many things into consideration right now. But I definitely am not going to kill either of you..." He furrowed his brows and gazed down at her with a hint of concern across his expression before he turned to face the patient once again.

"The other poison we detected, Somniject, we found traces of from the rest of the smaller cuts." McNeidle shook his head. "It is at least non-fatal, but the shear amount of cuts and applications of it means he would've likely been affected by it in a similar way to an overdose. It would've affected his mind the entire time, and he shouldn't even be conscious right now, but somehow he's hanging in there despite being crippled by both poisons. I really don't know what to make of it, I've never seen anyone with resilience quite like this. He'll be lucky if he can even recover from this without any significant damage to his muscles or his brai-" The man looked down to Seela, then paused and shook his head before he returned his gaze to the catatonic patient.

"Nevermind. You shouldn't have to hear all of this about your Master. We'll just have to wait and see if the antidotes will be enough." He'd then give off an uneasy smile at the Twi'lek before he'd push himself off the edge of the bed, and would begin to make his way to the door. He'd stop in the doorway and turn back to her. "The doctor will be in shortly to administer the antidotes. Are you okay? Is there anything else I can get you?"

Seela definitely didn't trust the nurse anymore, but decided to let the issue go, for now, and just keep a very close eye on Kyosuke.
Seela was surprised the second poison was also familiar to her, Somniject being a common enough substance used on her, by patrons on Nal Hutta, and at Master's club, on Nar Shaddaa. A simple enough sedative. The combination of the two poisons greatly confused Seela. She also didn't like the nurse's prognostic at all, but had to remind herself that indeed, Kyosuke's body had an outstanding resilience, and that he could probably use the force to heal in time. She couldn't allow herself to have doubts!

"The antidotes will be enough... they have to! I don't need anything, and all Master needs currently, are the antidotes, and peace."

Seela narrowed her eyes at the retreating nurse one last time, before settling in to keep watch, waiting for the woman's arrival with the antidotes.
