The Dark Man chuckled.
"Do not see my acts as a crime. I merely have hobbies. His death was adequate. As unnecessary as it seemed, did you know he was a spice dealer, or that in fact he called a hit on several patrons? And that once they were executed, he used their remains to add as a "secret ingredient" to the foul mixtures you are currently drinking? That he molested his children for fun? That he beats his wife cruelly for no apparent reason? My acts are not a crime, they are acts of dark justice."

I hope they will consider this...

(OOC: If this makes it out of the Cantina, or someone joins this mad man's quest to spread justice, or rules against it, look for a thread called Dark Justice.)

Taoré's grip on his saber tightened; not that anyone saw it beneath his cloak.

"But that is not your decision to make. And it never could be. All men have the right to live and die as they choose, not to have someone take it from them immorally. What you're doing makes you no better than him because you kill and their blood creates riots like this one, causing chaos, just as his life created it."He said, his voice was clearly heated, but his temper was in control.

The Dark Man's chuckling stopped. He stood upright, bring his cane up as well.
Voices in his head told him,Are you going to let him do that? Kill him. Show him whats right. He heard screamin g in his mind. The dark man fell to his knees grasping his eyeball-covered head. He began to howl. After several minutes, he stood back up straight, picking up his cane as he did so. He put so much pressure on it, it snapped.
He started to tremble with rage.

He said almost silently,"It seems the demons don't dance alone..."

The righteous tone the younger man had seemed like nothing but rhetoric to Thair. Sure, the words had conviction and in a way he was right. If the Dark Man spoke truly than his victim did indeed choose his own death by the actions perpetrated. For what he had done a prison sentence of execution would have been to light a punishment for the crimes described. Horrible actions at times warrant horrible retaliations, and the politically driven juidicial systems were only good for deciding 'justice' on an economic scale, not personal. Still, murder was not acceptable in public. The Dark Man should have waited until he had a less public opportunity! Well, judging from his demeanor Thair scratched that thought.

"If what he says is true then this man's end was determined by the life he lead. Mr. Gorey here was just another tool of the system, it seems. Still, there's a time and place for everything."

And then El Señor Loco decided to drop to his knees and start screaming, palpable waves of anger began battering at Thair's senses, forcing him to arch a brow in surprise. This man was more than a few ounces short of a Jawa Juice! Assuming a defensive stance, Thair readied himself to bring up a protective barrier around himself, Brooke and any need arise. It would appear as a large transparent blue bubble if he ended up forming it.

The Dark Man stood silently for several minutes, twitching while doing so. He began to feel his hands tremble. He withdrew what seemed to be a straight cylindrical rod from his coat. Flicking a switch on the object, he tossed it into the crowd, causing a strange comotion. The cylinder released a red smoke, as the Dark man made a break for it, dropping a business card with his trademark headgear on it. It was only the image on the card. Nothing more. As he sprinted out, he dissappeared into the darkness.

Taoré looked to what he perceived at first glance to be the Dark Jedi, but his words spoke different. In spite of that, his headstrong nature and strong sense of morality held ground.

"But it is not our decision to make. If we were to kill all those who we deemed immoral, whether justified or not, the phrase "Justice" would no longer have any real meaning. Replaced simply by cynical people with no sense of aspiring to be something idealogical. As corrupt as politicians are, they are the ones who also enforce the rules, and whether we like it or not, we have to abide by those rules. We have the power, yes, but should we use it?" He spoke, clearly he was agitated, but he was glad no extreme levels of violence had begun yet.

((Right, I'm going to assume that everyone just stood there staring at him for several minutes? Nah. I believe in fairness he attempts to make an escape, thus giving anyone who wants to do something a chance to act.))

"Justice is like Love, kid. It means nothing unless actions support it. You can't pick a side and strictly adhere to it, at times you need to compromise. That is what integrity is."

Thair answered bluntly, unwilling to simply elaborate. Any debate on ideaologies could be put on hold until the current threat was resolved. Holding firm to his intentions, Thair threw up the protective bubble as the Dark Man dropped a rod and made a break for the exit.

He quickly activated his lightsaber and with the help of his Force enhanced senses, knew exactly where he would cross, causing the emerald blade to cut straight into his legs. He didn't know what kind of damage that would cause, but it was sufficient enough to hold the Dark Man from leaving, seeing as he tripped.

"Now who said you could leave? It was just getting fun! Learning how to NOT be an idiot and all that." Taoré said darkly, but with mirth

"Personally I don't give a damn if he did all those things. You could of done that when no one was around. You could of got him back at his own place but rather you painted the walls with his blood. I believe everyone here is standing with me on the option of killing your sorry ass. If they disagree they will defend you only to join your fate. Sorry, Dark Man you lucked out."

Tossing his left slug thrower back at his chest, allowing the magnetic plate to catch the pistol with ease, Brayden immediately pointed his left hand in the direction of the Dark Man. Curling up his fingers into a fist and letting it hang down, Brayden then reached over with his right index finger while still holding his slug thrower and simply mashed a button on his wrist.

At first it looked like a small flame had ignited but then a cone of fire, five meters long and one meter in diameter covered the area in which the Dark Man stood. The intense heat was going to do either one of two options, seer whatever exposed skin he had and burn off that ridiculous suit or begin to cook him from the inside out. The Dark Man had a tricky situation on his hands. He was either going to run out screaming from the flames which were about to douse him or he was going to scream in pain while rolling about on the floor. Either was good but he just wanted the screaming part mostly.

~This was an unexpected turn of events. Brooke wasn't the center of attention; the haughty kid - okay, Brooke guessed he kinda looked like an adult, at least her age - in robes in the corner was attracting all the attention, as was the gun-toting man. Huh. As the Dark Man exchanged words, Brooke moved almost unconsiously both back towards Thair and in the direction of the exit. Funny that the only man she knew had a lightsaber was the one she moved ever so slightly towards. As she looked back, she noticed the air was blue and shimmering in a bubble around That. What? She touched it, for a moment, and jumped as if shocked. What was that? Some sort of shield? Taking that as a hint, she scooted to the side, outside of the circumference of the shield.~

~Then the red, billowing smoke of the Dark Man's canister, and the electrifying green beam of a lightsaber pierced the murkiness of the cantina. Oh shoot. Another Jedi? Brooke didn't dare try to run if a fight was going to break out. She glanced over her shoulder at Thair with a frown. Inaction was action. She wasn't going to run; though her instincts were screaming at her to. She was stuck here; and thanks to Mister Hero Boy with a Lightsaber they were all in for at least a little trouble. Hopefully the rest of the crowd would forget she was there, and she would find a way to slip out. But not yet.~

Taoré looked around and spotted her. Clearly the gunslinger was onto him as well, which gave him enough time to get out of the smokescreen and wrench the redhead by the arm

"Some friends you have here." he said, holding his lightsaber in what appeared to the outside as an Ataru stance."best bet right now? Running would be a good one!" he barked, knowing full well she was going to anyways, so it wasn't hard to convincer her. In theory anyways.

He glanced over at Thair and knew there was some gears turning in his head. But all outwards appearences he was going to try and protect the redhead as best he could

"What the hell do you think you are doing? Get off me!" ~Brooke growled, and as Taore's arm wrapped around hers Brooke would twist, with her whole body against his thumb - the weakest part of his hold - effectively breaking his hold before he could leap away.~

"The only person getting me out of this club is myself, by my own choice, thank you very much. Go save someone else who needs it."

He glared for a brief moment."Princess, in case you haven't noticed, we're the only ones left. And it's clear YOU'RE the ones who needs saving."

she has a mouth on her.He thought, and didn't know whether or not that be bad or good. Given the current situation: Bad.

~Brooke met his eyes and glared back. And oh did she know how to glare. The glaciers on Hoth would have shivered at the look in her blue eyes.~

"I know you think it's your personal responsibility to save the entire universe, just because you have a glowing stick - but I do not want your help. Do. Not. Want. So shoo."

~He was lucky she hadn't decked him for calling her princess. The gall of forceusers. Ugh.~

The Dark Man lie pn the floor, rolling to prevent the flames from burning more, despite his tux being fireproof. After vigorously rolling, he stood up. Rage flowed through his mind like a wildfire. The voices grew louder. He felt like a snake had bit him with its venom coarsing through his veins. He clenched his fists.

Looking at her right between the eyes, he almost chuckled. How amusing it was that for someone use to getting reactions out of people had the tables turned on themselves. He nevertheless couldn't surpress a small smirk

"Sweetheart, unfortunately, if it wasn't me, it'd be crazy person either killing you outright, or yin-yang across the bar doing lord knows what. Least with me, you'll live. And trust me, if it weren't for you being OH so good with words, I wouldn't be sticking around at the first sign of trouble, now would I?" He retorted. Clearly the reason she was targeted was her big mouth, and he let the hams fly, as he deflected a stray blaster bolt. He didn't see where it came from, but now the time for banter was done. Survival was of the utmost

The Dark Man drew a pair of hatchets from his waist coat. He flailed them around. The flurry of blades seemed like a tornado.

Brayden was sure that the guy was going to be burnt to a crisp but apparently that horrific looking suit was packing extra protections especially against flamethrowers. Sighing to himself for a brief moment, he watched as the Dark Man pulled a pair of hatchets from his coat, flailing them about in a tornado like fashion. This guy really liked to show off apparently and did not care to think about his slug throwers.

"I gave you a chance but you..You're a stubborn eyeball."

Grabbing his slug thrower off his chest after the nozzle on his flame thrower ran dry, Brayden leveled his hands while aiming at the Dark Man's giant eyeball of a head. Squeezing the triggers repeatedly, Brayden's slug throwers sounded off with a mighty roar as each pistol discharged a round from its chamber.

(Not much to post about that now >_>)

Apparently the stray blaster shooter was taken out by the Gray Jedi. Feeling slightly offended, he called out to the Gray Jedi.

"Well then I wouldn't be offended by a few suggestions!" he replied, watching a Rodian come up him from below, which he blocked with his foot and turned a quick swing of the saber, cutting into the Rodian's mid-section, but not leaving a gaping wound. He had to keep an eye on the redhead, cause he knew by now she had some answers to this whole mess.
