As you know, claims about Sector 13 were brought forward in this thread. Because the full Senate isn't the correct venue for evidence and testimony (IC or IRL), the Chancellor chose to put together a special committee, led by my character Ahdam, to investigate the claims, hear the testimony, etc.

I'm going to have 3 other PC Senators on the committee. That way we can have more structured, organized, and just all around better testimony, conversations, etc and avoid the cluster of typical bigger threads. Before choosing who is on the committee, I want to see who is interested first as that's easier than just randomly picking people.

So, who's interested?

This will so be a fair and just investigation then. :CAbove

obviously not since Ahdam was a sector13 agent but if Sonam gets in and reveal everything up that would probably be great.:bitchez

Psh, all Sonam did was whisper one or two things here and there. He's not really involved... At least, not publicly, and not in any way that you can prove. :bitchez

Isn't that the point of S-13? They are supposed to be able to be anywhere they are needed, and having a member of their ranks as the leader of the committee searching them out is pretty in character for them. Regardless of whether or not it's "fair," it's logical in context. However, if the Supreme Chancellor assigned him as the committee head and no evidence is brought to light, some of the Senators might put two and two together, which is a different story.

No, it makes perfect IC sense. It still warrants a ':CAbove' face though, lol.

Anything that actually links to the Chancellor will be quietly gotten rid of, people will disappear, etc.

It's like a Tom Clancy novel. You know, one of the ones no one cares about 'cuss there's no guns and explosions.

Mind if I nominate my character to handle some of the disappearances?

Including Bac as a member?

With S13 severely weakened, it'll be more difficult.

Tom Clancy books are good. It's been a few years since I read one.

Unless you're with S13, I doubt you'll be used.

lol.. and here I was being the type to try and get s-13 to do noble things and stay the hell away from me most other times >.<

and yes for the record Hisako is utterly staying out of this to be honest, she's more taking note of something else she detected in all this. She sees the S-13 Allegations as the harbinger of a powerplay and her focus will be more on that.

...right after she finishes designing a few new toys for the war effort...because you know, she knows nothing of the military apparently, nor has bolstered it's supplies, and upgraded it to levels unseen in generations ^_^

There is zero evidence linking him to Sector 13. The only people who know are Ahdam and Alcor, one of whom is dead. Other agents and Directors would've seen Agent 1 in armor, not the person beneath the armor. There's no one other than Ahdam to bring that evidence to light, and obviously he's not going to.

Doesn't the Supreme Chancellor know as well? I recall reading through a thread where Ahdam revealed S13's existence to her, saying that he was the first agent. Which, iirc, was where Ahdam became a Senator.

True.

So, when will we learn who will be apart of the investigation?

Yeah, you're right, I forgot about that. Either way, it doesn't change anything, since she's obviously not going to say anything about it.

Once there's been enough time for everyone who might be interested to say so.
