Howdy folks!
I've volunteered to RP the Alliance Chief of State for the time being. This won't be a very important position in terms of the leadership of the faction, but it will be important for leading one thing: a revamped Galactic Congress. I proposed to the Council that rather than just having people be generic Senators, which really gives people nothing to do whatsoever and is why the Senate sub-faction has always failed in the past, they be given specialized roles.
What we've come up with is a few Congressional committees. Some RPers will be chairmen of those committees, while others will be members of those committees. Without giving away too much just yet, these committees will perform vital functions within the Alliance both IC and OOC and will be considered part of the faction's leadership given the tasks that they will have. This will allow the Jedi Council to pass on some of their massive amounts of responsibility to more people, and it will open up new and interesting doors for RPing opportunities on a galactic scale.
Are you interested in RPing a Senator?
I'm not deciding on any chairmen or even what committee you'll be on at this point, so don't create a character yet. Just let me know in this thread if you're interested so I can get a better idea of how to set this up. Thanks!
