Shapers of Kro Var

History​ The Shapers of Kro Var are an organization of dark side force-sensitives located on the planet Kro Var in the unknown regions. While the planet was once uninhabited by sentient life, in the year 1000 BBY during the Ruusan Reformation, a large ship of refugees fleeing from a long forgotten enemy crashed on the world's surface. Due to a lack of outside resources, the society formed by these refugees saw a steady digression in technology, eventually breaking into small tribal villages across the planet. Force sensitives on Kor Var became leaders of the people there, and were frequently called "Shamans" by their own people. This title would eventually change however. Some time during the Galactic Republic era, the planet would be discovered by Republic forces and later the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Some time during this era, the planet would be invaded by CIS forces, but the invasion force would be fought off by these Shamans. Some Jedi and witnesses who watched these warriors fight called them "Shapers" after the unique way they wielded the force. After learning of this interesting title, the shamans of Kor Var would rename themselves to 'The Shapers of Kor Var'. During the Galactic Civil War, the Shapers would essentially go unnoticed by the empire. Their planet was very small, and their people there did not practice the light side of the force. Over time, they would be forgotten about by many, but tales from smugglers and bounty hunters told the old shamans were still around... Abilities and Philosophy The shapers distrusted manifestation of the force that were invisible to the naked eye, such as the use of telekinesis or mind tricks. Instead, the shapers dedicated themselves to the practice of force powers which could manipulate nature, and the natural elements. This lead to the vast majority of their kind practicing force powers such as pyrokinesis, cytokinesis, aerokineisis, and Telekinesis (used on water or earth exclusively). Though not readably accessible to all shapers, the most talented among them are capable of learning Shadow Magick. Mastery of these techniques takes far longer than other disciplines, even for especially powerful shapers. No shaper in history has mastered every ability Shadow Magick has to offer.​

Intent

Bring a legends force sensitive organization and philosophy into the site's fanon. They would also work nicely for characters who want to either play a very different kind of force sensitive, or want to avoid joining the Jedi/Sith.​
