This is the night, we're burning you alive right here, and no one 'll hear, your crys of fear.

As the massive boom and blinding light faded, one could survey the damage of Varek's attack on Ayva. The space between the two of them was little more than blackened wasteland, a permanent scar on the planet. Trees and grass had all been essentially disintegrated in the wake of his rage given form. He stood with his lightsaber firmly gripped in his right hand, his feet wide with his left hand recharging with Force energy at a frighteningly rapid pace.

This is the night, we're ensuring your demise in my head.

Ayva had been able to attempt to erect a last minute defense but it would not be nearly enough to stave off such a powerful blow. The flames would wash over her and leave her with second and third degree burns across much of her body while the kinetic impact would send her flying backwards, smashing her hard into a tree as she fell to the floor unconscious from the immense amount of damage. While she had survived it, she was certainly out of the fight, and would perish if not given attention soon.

And I will be here to watch you die in fear.

No sooner did Varek's attack end, did a poorly aimed telekinetic blast fly past him, warning him nicely of another enemy gunning for him. A grin sprouted on his face as the foolish opponent attempted to play with his inner organs, something all Force Sensitves are trained to defend against from the start, shrugging it off using the Force to block his attempt just as the Crusader's saber would blow clean through his cover. By now having recovered a good portion of the energy lost in ending Ayva, he would turn his eyes towards the doctor.

He too, would fall to Varek.

Just as Xesyr sharded the poor bastards mind, Varek would close the Force in around him, using a cruel blend of the powers known as Crush and Slow. If left unchecked, which was likely given the other attacks directed at him, the Jedi would be too slow to react to the lightsaber about to pierce his cover, and once that hit, too weak to prevent Varek from crushing him with the weight of the Force.

Maybe next time, Jedi.

His mind was on fire.

Patrick couldn't think at all. All he knew was pain. At first, it had been one Sith inside his mind. He was able to combat him. Now, there were two Sith in his skull, twisting his mind literally. It felt like his mind was being twisted for hours, but it was only a few seconds. He was able to get a flicker of thought through his head. It was one word that could save himself as well as the lives of the Jedi in his group fighting the Sith. Distraction.

He sent out a massive Force Repulse in all directions. It blasted dirt, rocks, trees, incoming lightsabers, and Sith alike, away from Patrick. The Sith were forced to let go of his mind. Patrick activated his lightsaber. His eyes were a bit better. He aimed a very powerful, practically unavoidable force blast at the Sith that had attempted a Force crush at him and pulled a tree towards the other Sith.

As the Force blast resonated toward Xesyr, the assassin ceased his telepathic assault, immediately extending both of his arms as he exerted the Force within him. With his feet planted into the ground, the Crusader entrenched his being where he was, rendering himself steadfast and immovable through the Force as he bore through the telekinetic storm, enduring its pressure and magnitude. As the blast ended, the assassin dropped to his knee, regaining himself before telekinetically drawing his lightsaber back to him.

With a single fluid motion, Xesyr concealed his presence through the Force as surely as he could - the Jedi paid constant attention only to the Sith Master, which was Xesyr's distinct advantage. Using the Force to grant him supranatural rapidity, the Sith assassin nigh-instantly closed the gap between himself and the Jedi Knight, igniting his crimson blade as he lunged forth, striking at the Jedi's back while he concentrated on Varek.

This Jedi apparently forgot what Varek had done just moments prior.

As he tossed about Force energy like candy, the purple-eyed killer drank it in through tutaminis. Although the blast aimed at him may not have been easily dodged, it was easily absorbed. Varek's left hand was enveloped in a purple-black swirl as the Force bent and broke, being sucked into the black hole of absorbtion and filling Varek's energies reserves to the brim. Nearly bursting with such energy, he would unleash hell yet again. The Zabrak blasted a mental warning towards the Crusader.

Move. Now.

The black and purple swirl adopted a red and orange tint as it turned to flame and launched forth from his palm with power equal to the blast that incinerated Ayva. While the Jedi was essentially done, Xesyr had a chance to move. If he didn't, he too would be destroyed by Varek's all-consuming flame.

Patrick knew he was finished. He thought for a moment. He had helped survivors on Coruscant after the bombing. He had fought Sith on numerous occasions. He ran a successful hospital ship, saving the lives of numerous Jedi that had been injured in combat. No regrets. He was proud of what he had done. Patrick put his deactivated lightsaber to his stomach.

The crimson lightsaber entered to the right of the spinal column. It tore through his right lung and pierced his right pectoral. The blade stayed in his lung, burning it from the inside-out. As the blade went deeper into Patrick, he felt the hilt touch his back. Whatever he did wouldn't matter. Patrick activated his lightsaber, used what concentration he had left, pulled the Sith behind him closer, and impaled his own stomach. The blade came out his back, which would undoubtedly strike the Sith behind him. At the very least, the Sith stabbing him would be burned somewhere.

As a flash of red light erupted from the other Sith, Patrick kept holding the other Sith there until the very end. Both of them would perish.

There were no words that described taking the life of another, the exhilaration, the finality of it, the resistant feeling of the blade searing through flesh and bone, piercing through the person's core and being. Time froze as the final Jedi fell, and by his own hand. It was his moment, as every death was. But with Jedi, it was different. More important, critical. It was not simply a victory of martial might, but of will, philosophy, dating back as far as the polarization of darkness and light itself.

MOVE. NOW.

The assassin's eyes grew wide in awareness, alertness. The order of a Sith Master was not one he could easily ignore - that any Sith but one on his own level could listen to and obey without hesitance. It was hard-coded within his mind, a forged reflex. Without a moment's waste, Xesyr used the Force to heighten his speed, deactivating and mounting his hilt while simultaneously empowering his body to jump away a distance into the treetops above. As the Crusader began to move away, the Jedi Knight ignited his lightsaber blade and reached out with the Force to pull Xesyr him closer to his back. And Xesyr could feel it, the vacuum of the telekinetic force pulling him. He did not know the Jedi's intentions or course of actions, it could have been one of any number of scenarios. But there was an ever real threat, the pyrokinetic maelstrom that would no doubt burst forth from Varek. Summoning the Force in haste, Xesyr thrust both of his hands outward, discharging a telekinetic blast toward the dying Jedi. The weakened Jedi was no doubt in poor affairs, Xesyr could easily negate the pull. Using the residual inertia, the Crusader, allowed the force of the telekinetic blast to force him backwards, well out of harm's way.

The Jedi would die alone. And once again, the Sith were all those who would stand to see the stars again.
