Ossus.

Twenty-six thousand years of Jedi history could be traced back to this one planet and Jedi Master Ebberla Daw could feel it. It originated as a home for meditation and learning, establishing many of the philosophies the Jedi follow to this day. The ruins of the temple they now walked had been built over millennia’s of temples before then, stretching as far as only an outpost to complex of halls of the Great Ossus Library to the reestablished temple by Luke Skywalker after the Great Jedi Purge. It all laid here, in the soil, the air, the trees, and animals.

The world itself was significant not only as almost a sacred point for the firm Jedi follower, but also turning points, events of rebirth and death also lingered here. It is where the Jedi of 14,000 years ago saw the fall of Jedi Grandmaster Banik Kelrada by the manipulation of Sarina Lightell and resulted in the creation of the Ospion Guardians, who eventually evolved into the Dark Jedi of the Bogan. It was here where Jedi Odan-Urr founded the Great Jedi Library only to meet its demise by Sith Lord Exar Kun’s creation of a cataclysm within the destruction of the Cron Cluster.

All life on Ossus was nearly exterminated due to Exar Kun’s weapon, leaving the planet desolate, isolated, and forgotten by all except the survivors of the cataclysm, the Ysanna.

Eventually the Jedi had returned, excavating archeological foundations, looking for pieces of history that they could once again archive for future generations of Jedi to come.

It wasn’t until after the Great Jedi Purge did Grandmaster Luke Skywalker, the founder of the New Jedi Order, had come looking for answers, clues to rebuild the Jedi order. The task was not easy to reclaim Ossus, still haunted by remnants of the Empire, but Skywalker prevailed and with assistance by the Ysanna, they begun piecing together clues to the Jedi Order’s past.

The Jedi Academy was reestablished during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, but following the Second Galactic Civil War, the Jedi left. Eventually they returned once more up until the Third Jedi Purge where the Sith invaded once again, the temple remaining in ruins.

Ebberla Daw along with Jedi Master Ayva Starfall and Jedi Knight Patrick Donnelly walked across the aged rubble, now over-grown with an assortment of plant life and eroded down to what looked to be an awkward hill amongst flat forested terrain. The Council had suggested a team of Jedi scout out the ancient temple, looking for remnants of well…anything, if anything was still left. As so far they haven’t found a thing, only a mound, and if there was an entrance to perhaps lower levels, they would need to bring in heavy equipment, and that was only if it wasn’t filled with soil and rock.

The sun was beginning to set; shadows were now crossing across the tree tops touching Ebberla, giving her nontraditional Jedi fatigues a striped pattern. The birds were beginning to sing their evening tune and a cool breeze begun to pick up signaling a transition from day to night. Her attention took her to her colleagues, her eyes looking passed them at clearing, still miles away where their ship sat, and opened her mouth to speak, but only to have the Force silence her.

There was a disturbance.

A ripple had crashed against the Corellian, she didn’t have to search for who was causing it, it was instinct in such dark times to know. Guests were soon to come.

Ossus sat on the edge of the Galactic Alliance and Sith territories, the world was meaningless politically, but for the Jedi, it was significant, and for the Sith, it was another opportunity to break the Jedi. Though she was positive the Sith probably already sensed the Jedi presence on Ossus, Ebberla slowly decreased her presence, immersing herself in the Force’s ripples to hide herself.

I have a bad feeling about this.” Ebberla spoke to them, positive they would have felt it too.

Simply being on the planet sent strong waves of the Force, making the lithe Kaminoan shiver with the history of this place. That on top of simply the immense power of so many spirits upon so much death, Light mingled with Darkness in this place and if the Jedi were to re-establish a presence on this planet, then the Council along with select Master would need to purge this place of the Darkness that still resided. It was dangerous for any with weak constitutions to tread here carelessly.

Her mind had reached out far and beyond, riding the waves of the Force, the presence of the plant life along with the few scant animals that scurried about. Walking around this mound, she simply was at this moment. There was nothing else this small party could do and they would be leaving soon to bring news of their discovery back to the Jedi and muster up a force in which to reclaim this world.

Then a twinge upon the Force. It was subtle, but it was unmistakeable. She knew that presence even though it was muddled upon the waves of the Force over so many leagues.

The one who had destroyed and murdered her would-be Apprentice.

Only a moment later, Ebberla said something. There was a sort of bond between the 2, friendly rivals if Ayva ever had one. Their duel had left an impression on the Master and she felt connected to the woman.

Saying nothing, she knelt upon the ground and began to meditate, falling into a trance rather quickly. Her head bowed and her eyes closed, her dark robes settled upon the ground rather gracefully as she called the Force to her.

This time she would not simply run away. He would not triumph here, not in this place. Not this time. She would have her justice on the creature that twisted the defenseless boy into nothingness.

Of course, such thoughts quickly left the Master's head, all emotion gone as she worked to steel her mind, as Ebberla had helped her work on, as well as simply drown herself in the Force.

There she would stay until he came. For she was sure he would come.

It was like walking around in a history book. Dr. Patrick Donnelly felt the strong history on this planet even before he set foot here. The world has hosted the Jedi multiple times and has suffered cataclysm multiple times as well. Now, the Jedi were on Ossus once again...

Dr. Donnelly was meditating when he felt a tremor in the Force. Something dangerous was on this planet... and headed their way. He made sure his lightsaber was clipped to his belt as he stood up to look around. He felt the other Jedi in the group feeling tremors too.

"I have a bad feeling about this," Ebberla said.

Patrick nodded in response and said, "I feel it too." He instantly began to wonder what it was. If his ship was handy, it could tell him what was going on. Instead, it was orbiting Coruscant, helping victims of the war. His droid was taking care of it.

What could be causing this tremor? It was definitely nothing natural, he knew that. It could be pirates... or worse. Suddenly, a chill went down his spine. He instinctively knew what it was. Sith. They were on Ossus and his group would surely run into them.

He checked his surroundings. Nothing but rubble, trees, and his Jedi colleagues. The forest around them was teaming with life. How long would it last, though?

A plume of smoke escaped his nostrils, the spiced scent of cigarra suddenly filling the air. He had been told not to smoke or drink on combat missions, but he seldom heeded the warning. Today would be no different, though he was decent enough to leave a bottle of booze behind. He was clad in his usual training gear, clothing that allowed a wide range of motions. He had four lightsabers clipped on his belt, two of them concealed from view.

Thaed felt the Jedi presence in the area, a grin appearing on his tattooed face. He glanced over at Varek. He had become so much more than the acolyte Thaed had first met. Varek had numerous victories under his belt, and had well earned his Master rank. Thaed took another drag from his cigarra, looking straight ahead as he walked towards the presence. He made no motion to mask his signature, his words meant for Varek.

"You know, I wonder if the Jedi are having a bad feeling about this right about now. I, for one, have a pretty damn good feeling about this. How about you?"

Without waiting for an answer, Thaed abruptly dashed forth, becoming a blur. He darted off laterally into the distance, becoming nothing but a shadow. He knew where the Jedi group had gathered, but that didn't mean he had to meet them head on. In fact, before the most powerful Jedi had decided to hide her signature, Thaed had already caught on to it.

The Force extended from him, as if an invisible hook. It swung across the distance and would latch into the mind of the Jedi councilor. It would begin as a chill up her spine, as if an icy cold finger were tracing up her back. It would plunge into the back of her neck, as if ice cold water had washed over her. And finally, it would enter her mind justly slightly, not enough to break past any barriers, but enough to let her know her enemy had chosen her. With that, Thaed tugged on that hook, almost casually mocking the Jedi to let her know he was prepared for her.

He did not draw his saber yet, and he slowly made himself visible, his yellow eyes glowing from within the shadow of his hood. His posture was relaxed, suggesting that he was quite comfortable in the presence of Jedi. He spoke no words, but his silent gesture had been taunting enough.

Theme.

Ossus.

Oh the history the planet held. The Jedi loved it even after Exar Kun torched it up, leaving it little more than a shadow of its former self. They had returned multiple times and had nothing tangible for their efforts. Each time they came back the Dark Side stepped in to topple temples and destroy them.

Today would be no different.

Tannaab. Konstellan. The Will of the Force. Saleucami. Each battle the Jedi had been beat back. Each time they had failed hard in the face of the well-oiled Sith war machine. Each time, one man had been present and each time he was victorious.

Sith Master Varek Rayth was here yet again.

Jedi after Jedi had fallen before him, his red bladed lightsaber and purple flame reaping their bodies and ripping souls from their physical shells. One by one he would purge the galaxy of the false protectors. Those that claim they will help the weak, those who cannot help themselves, yet were content to let the Zabrak rot in that politicians basement.

He wore his usual set of medium armor beneath his robes, with a mask and pair of gauntlets forged through Sith Alchemy that were essentially lightsaber proof, the armor protecting him most against blunt force trauma with an ablative coating to help against blaster fire. As Thaed spoke, Varek inclined his head towards him.

"None will survive."

And with that, Varek called the Dark Side to his body, the warmth of the raw evil essence filling his veins as he took off after Thaed, keeping pace with the lightly armored fellow Zabrak and a few meters to his side.

The silence of the plains was ubiquitous, calming like the breeze of the sea, as the wind grazed over the grassy plateau. It was tranquil, peaceful. But to the Sith, there was nothing but darkness, the splendor of light being only the assassin's tool. Like an invisible spectre, Xesyr moved as an sepulchral being, an unseen essence of malevolence shrouded from the world around him.

It was his way, the way of any Sith Crusader that walked the assassin's path. Solitude, seclusion, ruthlessness and finesse. Deadly efficiency, fitting of the title he bore. Even as he moved like a stream of wind, the world around him was slowed, as if everything were standing still around him. A drop from a lake, splashed from the antics of an aquatic mammal, was frozen in midair like a picture of the mind's eye. A cluster of leaves remained static in the air, a distortion to the perception, yet all the same, a reality.

And so would it be his reality. The Jedi, dead all the same. As in nearly every battle, every conflict, every skirmish before, the Jedi were defeated, broken even, and the Sith rose their sabers to the stars and let out a cheer that shook the heavens. And this day, this battle, would be no different. Xesyr arrived, taking his presence at the opposite side of the Sith Master, behind the Sith Lord. He was the least of them, and yet still was more than any of the Jedi before him. Unlike the Lord however, Xesyr continued to hide both his presence in the Force as well as his physical body, a perfect living weapon of the Dark Side.

"Now it begins,"
he thought, careful to shield his mind to a receptive 'listener', "..and now, it ends."

The orange setting sun now topped the top of the trees, night was coming fast, the bird songs had faded. Ripples of the Force ran through the Corellian's body, it whispered in her ears as she counted.

"Two for sure. Maybe..." she said the dark side shrouding the path, her eyes scanning the treeline, a few birds took off from the tree tops and her mind was suddenly teased, one alerting her to their presence. That specific one had dipped their cold hand into her mind, it sent the chill up her spine, and her arms were covered in goose-bumbs. Ebberla shut her mind completely, snapping the line that he had extended to her. She plunged herself in to the whorls of the Force, it engulfed her presence, her senses flared to life, her eyes saw the weaves that connected the Jedi together and to the Sith also.

She extended her hand as she focused, the Force continued to channel through her, her body rippling with the Force itself. The Force was her ally and a powerful ally it was indeed. It had yet to lead her astray as she continued to listen to its whispers and pulses. She turned to her colleagues, she could feel Ayva's own mind harden, the Force passing through her as she prepared herself. She could feel Patrick also, preparing himself for what was to come.

The Sage Master lowered her hand, she searched out into the forest detecting the Sith presence, two of them stood, but one suddenly disappeared. She opened her mouth to speak, the Force spoke first. Her mind calm and passive, she smiled, then replied, "Lets go give them a greeting."

The silver hilt of her blade snapped to her hand. she gripped it in her gloved fingers, but not igniting it yet. The girl took a step forward and dashed into the forest, her body matching the colors of the flora as she passed. She was ready to meet their guests.

Thaed grinned, realizing from the abrupt disconnection from the Jedi woman that his taunt had worked. He turned to Varek, his eyes gleaming with the thirst for battle.

"There are several of them. Spread out."

He jerked his chin towards Varek's right flank, motioning for him to dash out to laterally meet the other Jedi targets. Thaed knew he had picked out his target. He couldn't sense her through the Force, but his heightened senses picked up her rushed footsteps as she came to meet him head on. Thaed jumped into a dash of his own, drawing a hilt to his hand yet not igniting the blade. He zig zagged through the trees, a mere blur within the forest. He spotted her in the distance, approaching her diagonally several feet away. He focused on her, though he was wary of the others that would accompany her. From his location, he applied a harsh Force pull to bodily yank her from where she was, intending to make her sail through the air and slam into a tree that was close to him. It would draw her to him, allowing him to engage her directly in combat. He would count on Varek and Xesyr to flank the other Jedi to prevent them from intervening.

The slap of metal against flesh was the signal and Ayva arose from her position, power and peace resonating through the entirety of her body. An impression was sent to the Knight from Ayva, telling him to follow. This was simply a formality and hoped he would already be in step with them. The Force rushed through her hard and strong as she ran to follow Ebberla. However, once reaching the treeline, she decided to jump high into the middle canopy of the trees. Following almost perfectly right above Ebberla, Ayva didn't care to hide herself within the Force. The Sith knew she was here and she didn't really fit in physically with the surroundings. It would simply be wasted effort and hinder her connection to the Force as it was at this moment.

A dark mass appeared for a moment, but Ayva had caught it out of the corner of her eye. The branches moved only slightly, as though a breeze were moving through. However, these Sith would surely not be tricked by such a thing. Even so, it mattered not. She would not hide. No, she would shine her brilliance upon them all.

A twitch in her mind warned her and, in the middle of a bound, she produced a rather strong push at the darkened figure below. It tore branches and leaves apart as it passed through the space between the two. Landing on a sturdy branch but a moment later, her path to the bulky mass was largely clear and she waited, clearing her mind and calling the Force to her once more.

Her mind reached out, her senses at their height, as she kept aware of her surroundings in a rather substantial sphere around her; about 100 meters about her in all directions.

Varek didn’t need Thaed’s nod to understand where he was to go. He maintained his position off to the side, still gathering the Force to himself. Thaed had marked his target, but there were other Jedi presences. One of them was a particularly familiar presence, the signature bringing a thin grin to his face. It was not a grin of joy, but one that was a testament to his thirst for battle.

Ayva.

He spotted her before even acknowledging the higher ranked Jedi that Thaed has set his sights on. Varek had shifted to be diagonal in positioning, leaving him out of reach of the Sage Master should she attempt an attack on him. Furthermore, he knew Thaed would intervene should she launch an attack. Varek focused solely on his target, watching her every motion, watching as she brought forth a flood of memories.

Without hesitating, Varek burst into motion the moment Ayva launched into the air. As she began to travel within the canopies, the Sith Master decided it was high time to put an end to her little nature skip. Within a moment, a flash of orange escaped from his palm, a conglomeration of energy manifesting itself in the form of a large flame. It was sent directly into Ayva’s path, before she would launch a push or get close to being above Thaed. The fire would easily catch onto the trees and flare out, imbued with his dark energy. It would make traversing through the trees near impossible.

Without waiting, Varek drew out his saber, holding the cold gray durasteel hilt in his right hand as his left summoned the Force again. A booming blast of telekinetic energy would slam home into Ayva as she attempted to drop from the inferno, sending her back into the fire to burn. Just as all Jedi deserved, she would die in the utmost of pain as the otherworldly flames rapidly burned away unless she managed to do something drastic.

The battle had begun.

It happened so quickly. One minute, he had been meditating. The next minute, Ayva was flying through the trees. A bright flash flared up, catching several trees on fire. That's the Sith for you. His first instinct was to attempt to blow the fires out with the Force, but that might not work. Instead, Patrick reached out with the Force and tore some of the flaming trees to the right, crashing into the forest and rolling down a hill. He then sent out another Force blast towards the trunk of the trees, shattering the base. The pulled them down safely and attempted to catch Ayva with the Force.

He diverted her direction to fly towards the group of Jedi and buffered her fall. As she landed, he asked if she was okay before activating his lightsaber to fight these Sith. There were at least three. Patrick counted on more surprises, but for now, he was focusing on the three Sith. He sent another shockwave towards the Sith, hoping to push some trees down on them. Even if it didn't work, at least they'd have to scramble away, distracting them from leading an offensive on the Jedi for the moment.

Wood shards flew everywhere as a cluster of trees fell towards the Sith.

Battle was the lifeblood of the Sith - of every Sith. They needed no signal, no sign to initiate, no order to see the warpath. It was beyond words, beyond even sheer instinct. It was who they were, their purest essence. And as the skirmish began, Xesyr answered its call, as he knew Varek and Thaed would as well. Running low to the ground, Xesyr continued to move swiftly through the augmentation of the Force, obscuring his presence from the Jedi's perceptions like water slipping the stones of a mountain. All the while, the assassin chambered his Force energies, readying himself for an opening to strike in the heat and frenzy of battle. Even if they, the Jedi, could feel a darkness, it would be as fog to them, especially in the midst of a Sith Master and Lord. He would pass by like a lesser shadow, unnoticed until it would be too late. And that was exactly how he desired it.

Xesyr sprinted, nearly feeling the grass at his face from how low his position was in his movement. With unyielding finesse and subtly, he grazed past one tree, bouncing off the trunk of another until he reached the branches above. Crimson flames with an amber aura spilled through the bush of the canopies like streaks of liquid flame, setting ablaze the green until it burned to black ashes, becoming malignant dust to the wind and updraft. Working and adapting instantaneously to his Sith's tactic, Xesyr moved in a splinter of a moment to the ground, on the far side of the battlefield. And there he saw it, the entry every living weapon looks for and seeks out. As the fires spread, one particular Jedi began attempting to manipulate the florascape, downing trees and spreading the flames. In the midst of his maneuver however, the Jedi interfered with Varek's opponent, a female Jedi, grasping her with the Force - it was an opportunity so tender, he could not ignore.

In a single fluid motion, Xesyr lifted his arms and harnessed all the dark Force energy he stored up within while waiting for the opportune time to attack. And then, thrusting his arms forward, the Sith assassin unleashed a maelstrom of bluish purple lightnings, one blast at the Jedi on the ground, striking the trees, the other aimed at the female Jedi who was telekinetically compromised by her ally Jedi attempting to help her. Wayward sparks of the Sith's energies struck the ground like arcs of plasma, and booming thunder echoed out like an ominous wail of the Dark Side. Xesyr poured all his power into the discharge, as he felt the crackling of his skin at his fingertips from the intensity.

Battle.

Their need for conflict radiated with the pulsations of the dark side. It was a passion that the Sith embraced and the Jedi could understand why; if it wasn't for the barriers of her mind, her empathic sense would skyrocket with the ardor the Sith had. She knew about the intoxication of the battle, the adrenaline, the fight, the power it gave its victor; she had felt it on more than one occasion before joining the Jedi and then again on the fields of Saleucami.

Ebberla brushed the plants as she ran and twinge in the Force signaled the Councilor of an emanate threat. A darker ripple leading back to the Sith contorted around her, catching her in its grasp. She was still in mid-motion as the Sith struck and unable to anchor her feet to the forest ground. The wills of the Force whispered in her ears, she listened to its command, the Sage Master now flew towards a tree near her opponent, her orange blade hissing to life cutting plants as she passed.

She released a powerful push of her own as the tree quickly approached, cushioning impact. The tree cracked from the pressure, throwing the Jedi backwards, but her feet found ground, the Zabrak within meters and she grinned wryly to him. She swung her blade to point it to him, she could feel the other dark presences aggressively appear a short distance away and the attention of her Jedi dwindle in her direction, not focused on where their threats resided.

Focus Jedi! She called through the Force. Ebberla could hear the crackling of fire, the wind had yet to bring its smell of smoke to her nostrils. The situation became more dire, the others would need to retain their focus, their concentration centered on eliminating the Sith threat.

The human Jedi then made no hesitation, stepping forward and swung her blade across the Zabrak's chest.

Thaed paid no heed to the fire, knowing that Varek had it under control. His sights were set on the councilor before him, the woman that pointed a saber at him. A grin graced his features, though he had yet to ignite his saber. There was chaos erupting all around them, and he knew that Xesyr had joined the fight. The only move Thaed made was to leap into the air and land a short distance in the other direction across from the councilor, leaving the flames and trees on the other side. That was a mess the other Sith and Jedi could deal with.

As the woman made her dash, Thaed stood his ground, making no sudden motions. His yellow eyes glimmered with bloodlust, and they were fixated upon this woman. At the last moment of her dash, a burning red plasma blade erupted from the hilt in his right hand. He brought it up vertically to perpendicularly meet the slash across his torso. Without waiting, Thaed pivoted around Ebb's right side, slamming his left open palm into her unguarded flank.

Whether or not his attempt worked, Thaed would complete the half circle pivot around her to end up behind her, from where he would launch a neat diagonal sweep that would extend from Ebb's lower right side of her back, to the upper left shoulder blade. If nothing else, it would be a guarding maneuver to prevent her from spinning around to attack him with her saber. At the same time, he called the Force to his left palm to gather more energy for an attack.

The Force twitched with the mind of the Kaminoan as she traversed through the forest upon the upper-middle branches of the trees that populated the forest. However, her journey would be cut short.

The Force twitched in her mind and she jumped high and hard. But a moment before a viridian blade flashed to life as she cut her way through the branches that barred her way. Of course there was no helping that some would whip her as she flew upwards, but such meager pain found no bearing within the Jedi's mind. The flames reached for her cloak which tore as the wind and branches caught it.

Now out of the canopy, high above the ground, not yet at the apex of her flight, she released a significant push from her left hand towards the rippling flames below, pushing her ever higher and down at the flames to slow in their ascent. (If Varek still did his Force push, then she pushed off of that and was, ultimately, unaffected)

High above the trees, out of the reach of her companion's attempt at saving her, she lingered, gravity gaining hold of her mass to start and bring her back down towards the source. At this point her saber was once again upon her hip as she focused her mind, calling the Force to flood her body upon her descent. Manipulating her trajectory, she made sure to fall back whence she came, making sure she would fall into the newly formed clearing. Focusing on her destination, she worked at making the flames subside, moving the air in order to suffocate the unearthly flames.

Within her, she grasped onto her being; her purpose. Her fall seemed to not speed up as the moments passed as her perception of time slowed exponentially. As she fell, the Force welled up within her, purity and clarity in the extreme. She nurtured this, allowing it and urging it to grow, and grow it did until her body threatened to burst.

A couple hundred meters before she would connect with the ground, she released a magnificent light from within her filled with the power to purge all darkness from all things and beings in the area. While the 3 others near her would be most directly affected, Ebberla and her foe would not. Rage, anger, hatred, fear; these would find no foothold within the Force that now surrounded them, and such Darkness would be unattainable within themselves. Only a calming embrace where Jedi would find utter clarity and peace could be found.

The inferno would wane considerably, if not completely dissipate, and the lightning would be but static if it even managed to reach its targets. A strong push, coupled with a strengthening of her bones and muscles, would cushion her landing, her knees bending gracefully as though to mock the attempts at harming her.

The power of these practically emptied this Master of the Force. She felt somewhat hollow. However, this only matched the magnitude and effects of the power she had unleashed upon the Sith. They would have to rely on the Force without aid of their emotions and without their sorcery. Quite plainly, she leveled the playing field.

While the Force was a meager presence within the Kaminoan, she quickly worked to foster it once again within herself. Of course it would take several moments, but that might as well be an hour in such a situation. Her perception, sense and control of her body were still intact, but little else would she be able to do at the moment. Quickly removing her cloak, she grasped both of her sabers, igniting them both she readied herself with her new found nemesis. His form she could not forget.

With only a couple of moments pause, she then advanced on the Zabrak at a quickened pace, only slightly aided by the Force as this was all she could muster. Given that her approach wasn't interrupted, she would lash out with impressive speed in several strikes; right blade to (his) left shoulder, left blade to (his) right hip, downward slash with right blade starting from left side of his neck, left blade to slash horizontally at his midsection from his right to left, stab with the viridian blade (her right) and a decapitation maneuver with the cyan (her left). Of course she would adjust if any counters were thrown at her or any other mischief tried. However, she wanted this to end quickly, and while she had no delusions that it would, she would not play around.

Oh the Jedi.

So inexperienced in combat. So green in the field. They had not seen battle as Varek had seen it. Tasted victory and cleaned their enemy from the field. Try as they might, they simply weren't prepared. The Kamonian leapt into the air and out of sight, Varek let his flames burn through natural means instead of feeding them through the Force, it having become quite the inferno already regardless. Ayva blew her load on a flashy landing and would charge towards Varek, making an effort to regain her energy in the Force, but it would not be enough.

This was the end, Jedi.

Varek continued his pull on the Dark Side as Ayva flew, calling upon years of rage and anger to fuel his attack. The harnessed rage gathered in his gaunleted hands and just as Ayva landed, he let it go.

The sound was deafening and the light blinding. All present combatants would feel the heat as Varek's inner turmoil manifested in the form of fire and a huge blast of purple, red and black flame would smash into the Jedi a second after she landed. It'd carry the kinetic energy of a powerful telekinetic blast while being hot enough to melt star-ship armor. While it placed a severe drain on his own energy reserves, it was worth the essentially guaranteed kill of the Jedi.

Burn Jedi, burn.

Lightning. Lightning everywhere.

One Sith was shooting lightning at Patrick, forcing Patrick to scramble for cover behind a mound. It provided adequate protection for this attack, but not the next attack. When the lightning stopped, Patrick peered up to see what was going on. He was about to send a massive Force blast toward the Zabrak when another Sith went on the attack.

Patrick aimed his arm at the Sith when a blinding flash of light stunned him. He let go of the blast in the Sith's general direction, though he didn't have time to make it too precise. He then put an arm over his eyes to shield his eyes, though it was still blinding.

Patrick knew the dirt mound wasn't enough to protect against that, so he vaulted back, towards a slope. He threw up a Force shield to protect himself from a blast of heat, which also cushioned his awkward fall. It felt like he was down for an hour when he was only down for a few seconds.

The blast had singed some of his robe, but not much more. He slowly crawled up the incline to send another massive blast towards the Sith, but it hurt to open his eyes. He was able to see with the Force, however. The Sith that had sent the shock seemed spent. He wanted to incapacitate the Sith without endangering the Jedi. A misplaced Force Blast could hurt his allies.

Patrick was a doctor, though. He didn't need to see to know exactly what he was doing. He reached out with the Force and tightened the Sith's jugular vein. He wouldn't feel anything at first. By the time the Sith would feel anything, it'd be too late and he'd suffer severe disorientation at best... and incapacitation at worst.

Never waste a moment, never an opportunity. And once one appeared, never allow it to close. In Xesyr's life, this was a lesson he'd learned hard and well.

His Jedi opponent was reacting to another target, taking cover behind several locations before settling behind a mount. He no doubt knew there was an additional enemy, Xesyr's display of Force lightning was irrefutable evidence of to all the battlefield. But even as it was the case, the Jedi focused his efforts and directed his energies on the Sith Master, Varek. His attention wasn't on him, which would prove to be the Jedi own undoing... his own death.

Moving in a burst of Force Speed, Xesyr made an intense dash toward the mound where the Jedi was taking cover. Then, taking his lightsaber hilt in his hand, Xesyr drew his arm back, ignited his blade and threw his saber straight into the mound with Force augmented strength. The pure energy of the lightsaber blade would burn straight through the mound, and the Jedi would never see it coming. As an added assurance, the assassin Crusader then reached out with his mind, and in an instantaneous telepathic burst, sharded the Jedi's mind. Not only would this have distracted him from Xesyr's attack, but it would disrupt his concentration entirely, even with the Master, Varek.

Ebberla kept her focus on the Sith and paid no bother to the burning of wood; she could feel the swelling of the dark side as it tempted her with desire, but her light would be stronger.

Their blades made contact with a loud crack, the Sage Master absorbed the vibrations of contact with the Force. She took another step forward her blade looping around after the Sith broke contact. He pivoted around to her side and Ebberla pivoted also, trying to keep her opponent in front of her.

A sharp pain radiated from her side throughout her body, a hit, but it wouldn't slow her down. She brought her blade around, her body turning as she did as she faced him. The Force pulsated through her, two hands on her hilt, she brought her blade down on the crimson beam as Thaed attempted his diagonal swipe. Ebberla released a hand on the hilt's grip and she exerted a push into the Zabrak.

As Ebberla brought her saber down upon his, Thaed acted swiftly. He quickly swiped his saber in a vertical clockwise motion. With both hands on the hilt, it would shift her saber far off to her side. Using this opportunity, Thaed used the energy he had been gathering to blast lightning at Ebberla. However, this was launched just in time for her to let off a force push. The effect shoved Thaed back a few feet, but the lightning still escaped in a stream. The idea was for Ebberla's saber to have been too shifted to block the incoming lightning. The push no doubt would dull the lightning damage.

Without waiting to see if the lightning struck home, Thaed dashed forth for another attack, bringing a horizontal swing across her body. However, at the last moment he applied speed to suddenly shift to her left and aim a slice along her waist. He had his saber up diagonally to keep guard.
