Smuggler Faction

Yeah, I'm happy to accept anyone who'll have a character good to go by the time it starts, Zaypats name is on there since we talk about it on Skype, and there's a few more people I'll add once I get around to revising. Generally though I don't expect to have as large a group as people who express interest. Just the way it usually goes between the wait for the new TL, and finding other things to do instead. And of those it's always up in the air as to who sticks around, just like with main factions, so in terms of staying members I really expect to be on the smaller side. If it ends up not being that case that'd be awesome, just something experience in trying these things has taught me is that to never just assume you're going to get super massive amounts of people and activity. So if you want to be in at the start feel to free to drop a name and I'll you add when I fix it all up.

The character I was hoping to establish for the New Timeline was going to be involved in the Smuggler Trade. As I'm new I'm not sure what goes into being part of a faction, but I'm willing to certainly take part.

It honestly depends on the type of faction that you join! This one is meant to be a lot more relaxed in loose, sort of like being in a Union or Association in real life. It gives you a lot more freedom to pick and choose your ORCA smuggler assignments, with the added protection of safe-houses, without the danger of being tied into an organization that makes decisions for you and your character.

I'm definitely interested in seeing where this goes. Not sure if it'll be the right fit for my smuggler character yet, but I'll be keeping my eye on here during the planning phases. Looks great so far! :)

This actually sounds really cool, especially if you intend to have everyone just come together via rping scenarios (I love plots like that). I don't have a char fleshed out, but I'm definitely going to have an Indy looking into something like this (was actually trying to search to see if anyone had thought of a smuggling faction).
