Per a suggestion earlier in this thread, the faction leaders list in the Rules and Guidelines board has been updated. Click here for the list.

I guess I'll point out that the SWRP FAQ is also outdated, since I haven't seen anyone do so yet.

How about a list of all the active members on the site with their county/time next to them and cool new kung fu action grip?

It would be nice so we can see who is actually active and maybe even determine what times they'll likely come online by knowing which country their from.

Would making knowing who it would probably be easier to interact with well easier.

We should also require all members to post their full legal name, date of birth, place of residence, and social security number as well.

Sarcasm aside. If you're curious about someones activity level and when they generally post you can do it yourself. Just go to their public profile, statistics, and then click "Find all posts by (insert name)"

Or just ask staff to make a roster if they feel up to it. What you're suggesting is picking a random person and checking their activity level when what I'm asking for is to know who is active so I do not have to randomly choose who I would like to interact with, sir.

You don't have to pick a random person. Just find a thread and start reading it. You'll quickly be able to determine whether or not any of the individuals in the thread interests you. Then you can see how active they are. Alternatively, you can PM other people you know are good and ask them if they know anyone you might be interested in.

Besides, how would you want them to measure activity? Posts per day? What if someone has a bad week and isn't able to post much, it could negatively affect their "score" or whatever.

For at least admins and faction leaders: an option to have contact groups (i.e. factions), so that you can send a notice/announcement via a PM without having to do only five at a time, searching through threads for all the names.

That's a pretty good idea... but aren't all the faction leaders-3rd in commands conveniently placed in the rules and guidelines forums?

He's asking for faction leaders and admins to be able to do it, not for people to contact faction leaders and admins.

What Bac said. Like a Mass message system for the Faction Leaders/Admins to send out to the members of their faction/site.

I'm not sure how easily doable that would be for the simple fact that people dont exactly register to a faction. The FL would still need a fairly updated list of current members to PM if it was something private.

there was a time where there was something similar. Though I want to site that at this time in the first timeline the Jedi, and Sith did not have " faction threads" like they have now...

At that time Both main factions had entire separate sites for themselves. the FL's of said factions were that sites admins, and could arrange the boards as needed ( though naturally Al staff had a admin rights, and lead admin had super rights, and things needed approved)

on said sites it was pure IC. entire boards were established for key locations of Jedi or sith strongholds, and in those you would find training rooms, personal quarters ( everyone had a bedroom /apartment to retreat too) and other IC Rp locations

all RP done their was considered in faction.. the moment you left a jedi/sith world and or got involved in a main story you had to RP on the main site, the faction sites were more for character development in the faction and training.

Back to the initial point... my bad >.< is that the ( faction) admins had access to the Mass PM system and could send updates as needed to the whole faction.

Wow that would be cool. What happened that the previous way of doing things got changed?

We decided to keep everything on the main site. We haven't had individual faction websites in 6 years now.

as Bac said....it was nice to a point and fun but was also a strain having to contend with three sites and dealing with any number of sight issues not just limited to retaining data and other archives.

what made it work then was that we had a 1 character limit as well...so if you were a jedi/republic you were able to go to the jedi site or main site, and not able to get into the Sith site, allowing for them to make plans and discuss things more openly as a united faction without fear of that being used to meta game or be " magically figured out" by the other faction etc etc

it just would not work the same way with big character limits and multi factional usage. so there more or less had to be a trade off.

Indeed. The character limit was the major benefit there.

That would be cool though. Meta-gaming sucks.

Anyway I have an idea. Location, location, location.

How about we make one location for each planet? Like a short description of the area like dense forest with quicksand pits etc. It would be good for fights and even for the up and coming war and other stuff as well.

If all of us pitch in and maybe pick a planet or two, write up a 4-6 paragraph 6 sentences each paragraph description and send it to the admins to check and post somewhere. That would be a cool addition I think to make things more interesting like when a normal dude is fighter a super jedi he could use cover or small cramped spaces to outmanoeuvre the jedi and stuff. Same thing for things like large scale battles and such.

You want a description for each planet?

There are hundreds if not thousands of known canon planets.
