That one is pretty sexy, but I think we have a lot of work to do before we starting worrying about a theme song. We currently have less than 50% participation in our opener, and I'd like to get this thread and maybe a couple other story threads going soon as well. We'll get to it, I promise.

I actually don't like "social" either. Try "character development" or "story progressing".

I'll post soon, I wanted to wait and see how others responded so I could frame my response accordingly.

Finally posted for my dude. Not really sure of his position on the ship so left references to his assignment vague.

Get me a list of specifics you might want as far as Photoshop goes and I can see about those.

Also if Insolent has issues with time, I would be willing to do spoiler tag/roster formatting. I got fun ideas for that.

Hey guys, I'm back from the weekend and will start getting caught up on things this afternoon. In the meantime, I think our first order of business as a unit is to knock out some missions. To that end, I'd like to get together a list of rebel missions that you guys currently have in progress, and maybe suggestions for a mission pack we could all start together.

Glott is in the start of the Sullust Mission Pack LINK

If you want a mission pack idea, I posted one recently and will repost it here as it got missed I think in the leaders' business.

This is a suggestion for a JOINT mission pack with the Rebellion. (Get it? Joint? Spice? lawl)

Catching the WindSevarcos II has long been known as the birthplace of Carsunum and Andris. These spice varients are two of the most common and desired types in the Galaxy. The Jedi are interested in shutting down the poisonous substances' production and export, but first need to get their foot in the door on Sevarcos. Go to Sevarcos II and gain intel on the local government, and possibly search for a safehouse that we can use in the future. Try not to let anyone know who you are, just in case. Rumor has it that newcomers often Catch the Wind. Figure out what that means while you're there. THIS MISSION MUST COMPLETE BEFORE THE NEXT PART OPENS2 Jedi + 2 Rebels[GREEN]
Meet the SpicersNow that we have an understanding of the corporations and government on Sevarcos II, we can move forward in our desires to both diminish the spice trade and bring more people to our cause. The Corporations will not see our ways, and it will be difficult and perhaps violent to get them to stop their exports. For now, we will begin talks with the government officials. Meet with Prime Minister Santage of the Sevari people as ambassadors to our cause. Watch out for unwanted attention from the Spicer Mercenaries.2 Jedi + 2 Rebels[HIGH GREEN]
How to quit smokingThe ultimate goal of ending the exportation of spice is noble, but what of the Sevari economy? Spice is literally in the air they breathe. Find a way to educate the locals on the use of spice in medicines, rather than recreational drugs. This is a more scientific/technical mission. Nonetheless be on guard, Sevarcos II is a dangerous place. 1 Jedi + 2 Rebels[HIGH GREEN]
The Great Pit of AndrisExportation of raw spice is illegal in many systems, and therefore is very profitable if done right. The businessmen of Sevarcos II won't give up their credits easily. Infiltrate the largest Andris mine in the Galaxy and find a way to shut it down from the inside. Expect trouble from anywhere, we don't know what to expect down there and you can bet security has increased since we were spotted on the planet.5 total - Jedi or Rebels[YELLOW]
Smoked OutThe Sevari people base their entire economy on the spice trade, and are hard pressed to be against it. Nonetheless, there is a tribe on the Northern frontier of the planet that opposes the Spice Trade. Find them and attempt to bring them to our cause. These people will likely be in hiding to avoid the Spice Lords that control the wild zones. We should also be wary of the locals.1 Jedi (1 Padawan allowed with Knight if desired)+ 2 Rebels[YELLOW]
The Lord of the SpicesAt last, our time on Sevarcos II has met with success. We've made progress in giving the people a new view on the raw material they possess, and we have done some damage to the mining operations. We have the attention of people who really control Sevarcos II (And I don't mean the government). Spice Lord Chit'qualla has controlled the entire system through his ranks of mercenaries and Spice Lord Governors for years. The Luxury Space Colony in orbit is said to be his own personal house, fit with many guards as well. Board the station and detain Chit'qualla. He will have starfighters defending the station and many armed guards inside. Be prepared for a large battle to get to him. This victory will open the door to annexation in the future and a better handle on the growing spice industry across the Galaxy. THIS MISSION SHOULD BE DONE LAST4 Jedi (Experienced Padawans ok with Master escort) + 4 Rebels[HIGH YELLOW]

It's a really interesting and well put together concept, but I feel like it's not well suited to our goals at this point. Controlling drug traficking is something you do to improve territory you already control. For an insurgency that doesn't really own any territory, this might be something we have to hold off on for awhile.

If we can't find a pack of our own to do, would you guys doing the Sullest threads be willing to turn it into a joint operation with the Corusca crew?

I'm cool with doing Sullust stuff. It is a Jedi joint pack so they'll be there too.

After the discussion in the conferences thread, I feel like maybe we should hold out for the Bombad Prisoner story to re-open. In the meantime, we can finish up the intro thread, and do a couple encounters with eachother outside this sort of group meetings. Maybe some 2-3 PC training or mini-missions, supply runs, etc... We still have a lot of repairs to do, and as we do so we could always start looking at acquiring improvements. I have a couple ideas , but I don't think we're quiet ready for them. Thoughts?

EDIT: And Bauren, since I missed it before- that would be great if you could start coding some stuff for the opening post. Insoulent posted some ideas on my visitor messages recently. You guys could start tag teaming stuff however you'd like, don't wait for me. Just starting putting things together and throwing them my way or in here, and we can all figure out what fits best.

We should do some trail. You know, damge control, counter boarding, wepaons drills extra extra. Some may only need a few members some could have all take part. I would not mind NPCing a few since I have done these trails and drills in real life.

We can definitely do a training thread or two if that's what you guys want. IMHO, a successful training thread should focus on descriptive writing ability (specifically, to prep you forPVP) or, in the case of a team like this- the ability to work with other players in battle. It's good to inject some real life, whether book knowledge or real life experience, but I've found not all of it is really applicable to a Forum based Star Wars RP. I can talk all day about planning and conducting different types of operations, but most of it would never make it into a thread that could be completed in a timely manner and maintain participation.

Again, if somebody wants some real world based advice for writing their fight we can definitely do that, but I don't want to get hung up on it in lieu of advancing characters or descriptive writing practice.

Starfighter and hand to hand training would be good candidates, since I think those are the hardest to write.

Hey guys, thanks for your posts in the opener, I think we've got enough to work with. I'll post again tomorrow at some point, and if the stragglers want to post or participate they can do so on their own time. I'm also going to try to put up a new thread tomorrow between Arya and one or two crewman. Look for it, first come first serve ;)

And again, If you guys want to break into your own 2-3 character interactions, or pitch ideas for mini-missions for us I'd love to hear it. I'll find NPCers for us if need be.
