Tatooine, ISC Space, 1300 Hours

After the group had found the cave of Darth Maul's final resting place, Draugr had listed it on his map and would make his way back at a later date. Though he wouldn't come alone. Coming with him was Wodan, after his display of strength in the Dark Side he found himself on a list of contenders for Bladeship. Though he wouldn't know it at the moment, this was his test.

Hopping out of the speeder, he would make his way to the cave's entrance and stare into it. This was it. It was finally time to see if the blades were ready for use once again.
"Be sure you have everything you need. Failure is not an option." The Sith Lord had all three of his sabers, both of his own personal sabers as well as Lord Andros' saber gifted to him by Artorigas when they were Acolytes. It was the only thing he had that existed from his memory of Artorigas.

When Wodan would appear to be ready he would make his way into the cave and prepare for whatever came his way. At first it was just a long walk space filled with dust and darkness. Tossing small glow sticks he would mark his path to not lose where they came from. The Lord had been silent and with reason, he was feeling through the cave to connect to the dark energy the Sabers would have secreted. Though there was no telling if it would be the sabers or another dark energy in the cave.

The Dathomirian would follow where he had the strongest sense of the dark side. It was the best lead he had to go off of, hopefully it wouldn't fail him as he looked for the sabers of Darth Maul. More importantly, he wanted Wodan to be able to handle whatever came forth.

Once again he was here on this hell-formed rock, Wodan would have preferred to never return to this giant sand pit for the rest of his life. But when Darth Draugr’s call reached him, signalling to him that he wanted to complete the task they, along with Caelian Lu and started so long ago, the Firrerrian answered. One because he genuinely wanted to see the end to the tale and secondly because you kind of couldn’t say no to an Imperial Councilor without the risk of your head being removed from your neck.

Stepping off the speeder behind Draugr, Wodan had a simple black patch covering the area that had once been his left eye. The mass of scar tissue around the sight was visible beyond the small piece of fabric. His lightsaber was clipped to his belt and the Shard was hanging around his neck, a slow flow of Dark Side energy warping into Firrerrian matching the latter’s more anger-filled outlook since Corellia.

“I am ready Lord Draugr.” He replied, his fangs glinting with the last rays of the Twin Suns’ as they entered the cave. The place was dark and wreaked of the Dark Side, something that Wodan was slowly learning to relish the scent of. As they delved deeper the sand floor soon gave way to rock and stone, their feet making soft crunches with each step echoing throughout the cave system.

An aura of hate and anger radiated from deep inside, he guessed that was their prey, the sabres of Maul, a long dead Sith Lord. The shard around his neck seemed to react to the presence of this hate, emanating even more energy than it did usually. Wodan reached up and ran his fingers along the sharp metal, feeling it's cold metallic embrace.

The cave grew darker the further they went in, and only illuminated by the glow sticks, and the flashlight held in the right hand of the Sith Lord. Taking a glance over to Wodan he would take notice of the shard he had been rubbing his fingers along. It seemed familiar, like from a tale he heard or a book he had read. It hadn't struck his mind immediately, but from looks of it the thing had some importance. Might be a good topic to ask of.

"Wodan. What is the shard hanging around your neck? Heirloom?" The Zabrak's voice subtle now but dark in tone. Not of a threatening tone but had the vibes of an evil voice. Draugr continued to walk with the Lordly swagger, every footstep making a crunching sound through the dirt, not loudly but audible enough for the two walking the path.

The air in the cave was thickening, and getting colder as they continued forward. That was when Draugr had noticed that one of the glowsticks hadn't hit the ground and stayed.. it had fell.. then kept falling. The Sith Lord set his arm out to signal to Wodan to stop walking. Seemed there had been a hole in the cave floor before them. Shining his flashlight on it he would try to determine how far a leap would have to be to make it to the other side.

"Seems we could make this jump. Let's keep an eye out for more obstacles. Might be a problem going forward." With that, the Lord Zabrak would use the force to enhance his jump across the hole and landing on the other side with ease. Wodan wouldn't have trouble jumping across either. Knowing they may forget of the hole, Draugr would mark it by setting three glow sticks on the ground in front of it in a line. After he set he'd nod to Wodan to assure that he knew this was the sign. Then they would continue.

Wodan’s predator eyes adapted well to the dim nature of the tunnel, although he couldn’t see in the dark fully, his ability to see Ultraviolet light as well as his innate predator instincts thrived in light such as this. The Firrerrian took a half step when the Zabrak asked about the shard, his hand quickly grasping the metal object, the sharp edges digging into his callous hand. Was this another one out to take it from him, fear, anger and rage flashed through his body for a moment before a sense of calm quickly pushed them aside.

Though that calm wasn’t out of self control, but of self preservation, Wodan had no chance against the First Blade of the Empire, if Draugr wanted the Shard, he would fight him for it, but would most likely die. The best he could do would be to make the man uninterested in the object. “A reminder.” He replied quickly. “Shattered piece of metal from Firrerre my home.” Wodan hoped that would be enough for the man, the total culmination of death which happened on the planet could cause enough Darkness for an object like this to have some connection to the Dark Side.

A few moments later they met the first ‘trap’ though the fact it was just a simple hole in the ground was confusing. Whoever created this tomb would know that the most likely people to delve into it would be Force Users, people who could easily make the jump. With a confused look on his face, Wodan made the jump across to Draugr. “Seems a bit pointless, all that work for any Force User to easily jump over.” He mentioned looking back at the hole.

Draugr noticed Wodan still held onto Firrerre. The Zabrak probably do much of the same for Dathomir if had been destroyed. Choosing not to comment on it further he would continue forward. Wodan's comment on the hole was entirely true, but it did get Draugr thinking. "Perhaps the hole wasn't for us to fall in.. perhaps it was for something to crawl out of." It was possible, Tatooine had plenty of sand monsters and other species that it wouldn't be much of a surprise.

The dark energy had been growing stronger, so much so that it felt as if the blades were present. Everything he had been working towards, it was so close. And now it was time for him to take them for himself. "Around this corner," Draugr said as he turned around the corner. Disapprovingly there were no blades waiting, instead another tunnel but with movement in the distance.

The Sith Lord shined his flashlight down the hall, and had seen a pair of white eyes glow from the light, then another, and another, and the a few more. The creatures began running towards him and Wodan and when the light can be shown on them completely, it'd be revealed they were a pack of Sand Beasts looking to shred them apart. Roars could be heard from in front of them, but.. then more could be heard down the path from behind them as well.

"I hope you feel like killing something." There was only one way they'd get out of this and it was to fight.

Wodan looked back over the edge to see if there was anything down there like Draugr had said. His pupils narrowed as he tried to see any movement, but the hole was too deep and it was too dark with Draugr’s light slowly walking away from him to see, Wodan just hoped whatever was down there had died of hunger a long time ago.

The fact they were already getting close to their target brought a little confusion and concern to the Firrerrian’s mind. This was too easy, why would they be so low down the tunnel? Well it seemed like they weren't around the corner and better yet there was something else down here waiting for them instead. Wodan’s eyes locked onto the creatures before the light was fully shined on them, his lightsaber igniting as Draugr made his comment about killing them. There could be worse people to be stuck in a tunnel full of dangerous creatures with than the Red Blade of the Empire.

Holding his lightsaber to one side, Wodan reached up with his left hand, his thumb rubbing over the sharp edges of the Shard slicing the skin. Blood began to pool as he spat a few words in Ur-Kittat. “Kraujas postum.” The Dark Side followed like a river towards the blood on his thumb, before Wodan threw out the hand a dark wave of Force Energy raced past Draugr crashing into the first of the creatures, sending it flying back into a nearby wall, parts of it skin singed from the force of the blow.
