Emily shrugged when he mentioned her blood and chalked it up to their discussion earlier about how he must have fought her mother, or grandmother. While they looked very similar in human forms, their demon ones were all too different. The most significant of changes was that her mother didn't have wings like she did. She got those from dear old dad.
He then whispered an apology to her which made her puzzled. She looked up only he wasn't sitting across from her anymore. Before she could ask where he'd gone she was yanked from the chair and his teeth were sinking into her neck. Emily shrieked with a loud whimpering moan. Her legs kicked out trying to find ground but the iron vice grip around her torso held her still. Even her wings were being restrained by his might.
Emily's whole body went slack against him as he bit further into her neck. Blood rushed through her as he viciously sucked it out of her. The rush to her head was unlike any drug she'd ever taken. A shiver went down her spine making her submit and surrender to his power. Darkness started to pull at her and she found her eyelids flittering closed. And then she was out.
As August drank, he'd feel like he was a newborn vampire once more. The more he had the more powerful the ability. And since he was drinking it all, he'd feel the most of what this demon girl had to offer. Her blood was the sweetest thing he'd ever sampled and it was like the purest of energy drinks. His body would feel as if ready to run a marathon. His muscles felt stronger. His senses, sharper. Wounds and scars he'd gotten over the years would heal to the point his skin would not only be flawless, but when he returned to human form he'd find that he even seemed to look a few years younger.
With his prize drained he would be then overcome by his guilt. Sitting next to her lifeless form would be the worst sight he'd seen in some time. Yet, she looked so peaceful. And as he sat there, he'd hear something. A single heartbeat. Only one. And then, a few minutes later another one would come. What was happening? Was she dead or not?
Hours would pass. The longer he waited the more the sound grew. After an hour he'd smell her blood again. It was replinishing itself. But how did that make sense? By the sixth hour her body had completely returned to normal and the color would even start to return. Her heart now pumping as it normally should. She was alive.
How long she stayed this way was up to him. Would he try waking her now? Or let her sleep more. Assuming he let her sleep, she'd wake after another four hours.
