Yag'dhul was a terrible planet, truly. Three moons pulling it's atmosphere into distinct, barely-livable fractions of dirt. But the Givin, like all life, persevered. They adapted, and throughout their wondrous and very mathematical history they created one of the most complex and highly efficient societies in all of the Galaxy. However, this didn't change the fact that the planet itself was almost like an anomaly in space. And the Givin loved that fact. Their society was as close to an organic droid hive-brain as could be, but it was willingly. They mixed analytic reason with nature so perfect that is was a marvel to be seen.
"You see, everything in this Universe can be explained through numbers. Curves, lines, growth - all of it. Everything has a numerical value, even love." a lanky boned-faced Givin explained. "We Givin have mastered calculations, and work together. That is the fundamental law in Givin society, to work together. Eleven cannot equal twelve, the numbers do not cooperate. However we can input more calculations to make it true, our calculations only get more complex and more defined. The Body Calculus is the prime example of our society, and the best and brightest. The Sith's Empire leaves no room for cooperation, only forced obedience. Unruliness is only the natural reaction to get a favorable outcome." the Givin said, as his face churned a slight smile, or what looked like one anyway.
Arkantos was curious of the Givin, he had met many before, but he had never really known about their society and the like. They were an interesting people however. To many beings in the Galaxy they were frightening, yet they weren't really imposing as a species. They were highly-calculating, working on many levels above the galactic norm. In a way, the Jedi Master could respect that. However the Givin had this uncanny attitude he couldn't quite put his finger on. It was admirable, though.
The Givin, which he introduced himself as "Pi", was the Leader of the minority faction within the Body Calculus and apparent son of the Governor. It was a code name the Givin took to hide his face in the sea of other Givins, many species in the Galaxy had a hard time figuring out which one is which as their faces were near-identical to one another. Givins could tell the difference though. Pi was the leader of the resistance, and was determined to liberate as many of the Calculus as he could. He was the one who had arranged a team of Jedi and other Rebels to infiltrate the planet - with a bit of a bump in help from Arkantos. He had supplied a front to get them all planet-side, but it was Pi who did most of the heavy lifting.
"The Sith don't understand, but we do." the Givin said, drawing a circle on the floor beneath him. "It is not about opportunities, or possibilities. It is about eventualities." the Givin stated. "Whether it be today, or tomorrow - or thousands of years from now - they will fall. And we will lend our minds to their defeat." the Givin explained. Turning back to look up, he saw a small gathering of Givin, with only four non-Givins. Jedi Master Arkantos Rajax, Jedi Knight Raleigh, Jedi Padawan Shard Avelar and a member of the Rebellion Jahairal Val Khoran. In truth, the four had never worked together, or barely knew one another, but their skill sets set them apart enough to be able to work well. At least in the Givin's Calculations. They were in some undisclosed factory near the heart of Dodecapolis, the Givin's capital. The factory itself produced some sort of "perfect-pH balanced water", but was converted as the Insurgent's home base, at least in this part of the world. There were many others, Pi assured the team, but the Dodecapolis sect was tasked with the liberation of the planet's leaders - and that's what they'd do.
"Most of us have our calculations, but would our guests like to add anything before we begin?" Pi questioned, extending his hand to the quartet of allies in the front of the Givin crowd.
