DESCRIPTION
The SP-4 Crime Scene Analysis droid is a formidable tool for law enforcement agencies, if operated correctly. Given the complexity and massive scope of the galaxy, law enforcement agencies sought to commission a droid for crime scene analysis. Cybot Galactica, realizing the potential of the AA-1 VerboBrain, quickly adapted their powerful protocol droid brain into one programmed to analyze crime scenes in tandem with the R00M-8A Crime Scene Swifter. The droids work together, with R00M-8A units scouring the scene for clues while the SP-4 processes the findings and assists organic law enforcement officers with drawing conclusions.

SP-4 droids are not good at making leaps of logic that help crack open a case, but that doesn't stop them from prattling on about the evidence that has been collected. To an SP-4, nothing is as exciting as the raw data in can analyze, process, and catalog, and it fails to understand that the organics around it do not find such discourse entertaining.

Give the Sector Rangers and other investigative entities a tool to conduct an investigation with without needing to know lots about science

DESCRIPTION
The R00M-8A Crime Scene Analysis droid is designed to work in tandem with the SP-4 unit; where the SP-4 is tasked with processing the evidence, the R00M-8A is designed to investigate the crime scene and collect it. It does so with a variety of tools, including cotton swabs for obtaining fluid samples, a Holocamera for visually recording evidence, a multipurpose flashlight for examining beyond the visual spectrum, and a lint roller for collecting hairs and other particle evidence. While the R00M-8A is highly adept at collecting evidence, it cannot verbally communicate with humanoids, requiring an SP-4 droid to connect with it wirelessly and speak for it. A datapad app called iScan has been developed in order to allow Law Enforcement officers to communicate with the droid. There is a thriving aftermarket for these droids in the home cleaning sector.

The R00M-8A works slowly and methodically, scouring crime scenes on its wheels. It struggles with changes in elevation, often requesting assistance to navigate small bumps or other terrain. R00M-8A droids tend to develop a dramatic personality not long after leaving the factory, referring to such obstacles as "cliffs" and "canyons" that it needs help crossing.

APPEARANCE:
Calculating, yellow eyes assess the world around Linjal, whose tall, thin face and perpetual sneer are representative of the upper crust of the Zygerrian race. He is tall and slender, but his frame hides rippling muscles.

ATTRIBUTES:
Trained by birth to sense weakness, Linjal, like all tyrants, is paranoid about losing the power he currently possesses... which, currently, is not very much. This has made him slightly unbalanced as he searches for the security and control he perceives himself lacking, but it also means that there is rarely a situation where he doesn't have a contingency plan... or three. Although limited by what some might call a shortsighted view of the galaxy- notably, a tendency to see things as issues of power or lack thereof- the self-proclaimed heir to the Zygerrian Slave Empire is a survivor. Linjal received combat training and a nobleperson's education, which, while comprehensive, further skewed his species' beliefs as to their superiority over others.

PERSONALITY:
Ambitious and cunning, Linjal divides the galaxy into two groups; those he can exploit, and those he cannot. Accustomed to luxury and obedience, Linjal fumes at the hard times he's fallen upon, lusting for a return to his former glory. He is spoiled and a bit of a whiner, but can be incredibly cruel to those who stoke his wrath. Linjal tries to boss others around, and has a strong sense of self-preservation.

BIOGRAPHY:
Linjal escaped the Mandalorians' attack on his planet, and has floated around the galaxy, picking up some less noble skills and a ship while trying to gain enough resources and influence to retake his throne.

APPEARANCE:
Kasim lives up to their namesake- lovely- with a striking combination of colors on their horns that contrast sharply with his white hair and light orange skin. Scattered across his skin are white markings in unique patters, the most visible ones on Kasim's face and fingers. Kasim often dresses in greys and dark blues in order to accentuate his skin tone.

ATTRIBUTES:
Like all Dins, Kasim is proficient in unarmed combat- specifically, Matukai- although his skills lag behind his siblings' in this area. Kasim also developed skills in swordplay, and possesses good overall athleticism as a result of working on the family farm. He currently relies more on dexterous moves rather than strength-based ones, but he has not finished growing yet so that may change.

PERSONALITY:
Having grown up as a middle child in a large family full of even larger personalities, Kasim struggled to distinguish himself from his siblings. As a result, his personality is much like that of a chameleon, changing to match what he thinks the situation calls for. He is most insecure around his siblings, fearing that the successes of the older ones and the potential of the younger ones outshine him in both areas. Kasim dreams big, but rarely shares his rich inner life with others. Kasim can bounce between incredible confidence and crushing self-doubt; the former a result of growing up a Din, and the latter from comparing himself to his siblings.

BIOGRAPHY:
Kasim has drifted between passions and pursuits for most of his life, generally struggling to find a place where he feels comfortable. He has never gone far from Bandomeer or the family farm, and dutifully toils away on the homestead while dreaming of a better life; all the while not being sure what that would entail. He has begrudgingly followed his siblings' footsteps and considering the idea of joining the Sith.

Kasim has collected a wide variety of skills at the beginner level- a result of his continuous bouncing between jobs, hobbies, and activities. His greatest strength is his adaptability, although he lacks proficiency in any one area.

APPEARANCE: A diminutive human, Oziltei is easily overlooked; something that he is keen to take advantage of. He wears a spotless uniform that denotes his rank in the Empire, and keeps his face clean-shaven and his hair cut short to comply with military standards.


ATTRIBUTES: Oziltei entered into the ranks of the Sith Empire through menial office work, a loophole in the Empire's otherwise consistent general fitness standards. He has no combat experience and no interest in it.


PERSONALITY: Oziltei would really rather that you not notice him. He's made it this far in the Sith Empire by being in the right place at the right time to be promoted when someone else inevitably runs afoul of someone important in the Empire, and his own track record of mediocrity has ensured that he's not been subject to the same downfall that others of his stature have experienced. Oziltei is not one to wow you with his initiatives, but he's also just competent enough to keep things running smoothly.

DESCRIPTION
The Defender class is a highly successful city/base deflector shield type used over several decades. It requires a militatry-grade core to sustain power. It’s exact origins has been debated for quite some time. It is widely believed this designwas the work of the late engineer Aki Nairo, who wanted to machine that can effectively protect settlements after having lost his family to a brutal orbital bombardment. There are, however, rumors that Nairo actually stole inspiration from earlier models by others... but such claims have been thus far unsubstantiated.

The shield projected by a Defender could protect a large area — usually a single base or city — from outside attack. The shields were sturdy enough to withstand orbital bombardment, as well. The shield could be penetrated during a ground attack, however, as the deflector shield it produced did not prevent ground forces from passing through the barrier and destroying the generator.

As a result, Defender generators needed to be strategically placed and well-defended to prevent leaving them exposed during a ground assault.


LEGALITY
Legal. Shield generators themselves are not illegal in many independent systems, as their sole purpose is for defense.

INTENT
To produce a means of protecting a faction’s ground assets from outside assaults, including orbital bombardments.; also, to bring an approved tech item from a previous timeline to our current one.

RESTRICTIONS
This shield generator type requires a military grade reactor core to sustain enough power to protect a base or settlement. Such costs limit these generators to organizations and planets that can afford them.

DESCRIPTION
With Wookiees finding themselves popular targets for slavers, an arms race began between the Trandoshan mercenaries and their would-be Wookiee captives. Given the relative distance between Wookiee settlements and the tendency of slavers to operate in small groups, the need arose for a rapid response gunship capable of quickly deploying warriors to fight against the slavers. Out of that need, the Auzituck gunship was born. Auzituck roughly translates to "liberated one" in Shyriiwook, the native language of the Wookiees. The gunship was fast, well-armored and heavily armed with a narrow profile and large engines. It had a dual-tiered, bubble-shaped canopy that housed the pilot in the upper, rear section with the copilot/gunner in the lower forward position. The interiors were made from wroshyr trees, with sap serving as glue.

LEGALITY
Legal. Found almost exclusively on Kashyyyk, the Auzituck gunship is slowly being integrated amongst FWA worlds as the planet ramps up its production of them in wartime.

INTENT
Bring a canon ship to the site, and provide a small troop carrier/gunship for the FWA.

RESTRICTIONS
Available primarily to the FWA, it is encouraged (but not required) to obtain them through RP if outside the faction.

APPEARANCE: A career soldier, Bryce is solidly built and bears the scars of many battles on his body. He has serious grey eyes and a no-nonsense countenance. Part of his pinky finger on his left hand is missing, but he never tells anyone the same story as to why.


ATTRIBUTES: Bryce has good reflexes and is physically fit, owing to his career spent in the service. Bryce is right-handed but is a decent shot with his left, owing to many hundreds of hours honing the skills that have kept him alive up until this point. Bryce is decent at hand-to-hand combat.


PERSONALITY: Bryce is no-nonsense and direct, which makes his deadpan puns and wordplay all the more unexpected to those who don't know him very well. Whether it's genuine humor or a coping mechanism is anyone's guess.


BIOGRAPHY: Born on Corellia, Bryce saw the military as a way out of poverty and enlisted as soon as he could. After mustering out he has recently joined the Sector Rangers, serving on the front lines as a soldier and occasionally doing investigations.

RESISTANCE TROOPER ARMOR

With the emergence of the Resistance movement came the necessity for a standard armor to facilitate easy identification of the wildly diverse units from the dozens of worlds resisting the Sith expansion. Drawing on designs from the fabled Rebel Alliance, the armor has become synonymous with the resistance movement.

LEGALITY

Legal. While this armor may draw more scrutiny within ISC/NR space (it's a soldier's uniform, after all), it is completely legal inside FWA/Jedi space as as they share a common foe. It is not recommended to wear this armor inside Sith space, except as part of an invasion or active resistance effort, as doing so can get you shot on sight.

INTENT

To give Resistance troops a standard uniform to facilitate the inclusion of non-FS characters in the war storyline.

RESTRICTIONS
Limited to members of the Resistance.

Functions


Function 1: Thermal undersuit

  • Thermal undersuits wick away or reflect thermal energy for brief periods of time. They are not nearly as effective as a suit that firefighters would wear. Most commonly used to protect soldiers from flamethrower weapons or short bursts of extreme heat or cold, and are only good for 1-2 posts of exposure depending on intensity. They are useless against blasters.

Function 2: Armorweave Accessory (Underlay)

  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.

Function 3: Grapple Line (hand-held)

  • Grapple lines are capable of supporting the weight of 1-2 people and can launch up to ranges typically up to 15 meters away. Once no longer in use, they are detached from the launcher and left behind. While hand-held grapple guns are capable of auto-winching, armor or wrist mounted devices lack this ability. Grapple lines must be manually activated and controlled by a button or switch.
