Except once the planet there hiding on is discovered, the same method Darth Malek used on Taris can be applied to wherever the "traitors" are hiding.

Caves. Seriously, I doubt they're gonna spend the time to blow up a planet so bad for a few hundred rebels.

Also, cue Rebellion era. Entire organization of Rebels under Empire's nose. SERIOUSLY.

Er, Tusa had his dogs eat his own father. Pretty sure he's crazy enough to carpet bomb.

The rebels were in small pockets on various planets across the galaxy. There's a difference between that and people on one planet.

Perhaps, however, is losing an entire planet worth of resources worth getting rid of a few rebels?

When you're ruling with an iron fist and you mean srs business like Hutts and taungs. Its pretty much obvious what the answer is. Anything else would be just dumb.

I don't remember the complete destruction of Tatooine, Bothawui, Itkotch, or a number of other planets that the Hutts captured that could harbor rebels.

If it wasn't worth it to destroy those planets, why would the Hutts destroy Concord Dawn to eradicate the Mandalorians?

They don't need a reason. They can do whatever they like to be honest. If they want to carpet bomb it. They can do that. I really don't see you offering a better suggestion.

It's not very classy to start a splinter faction because you're butthurt over getting exiled or whatever.

But thats okay. i kinda want to be there to watch the battle too.

But again, is that not what the dark siders do when they start factions? Of course, they might not be the epitome of classiness but they are at least Star Warsy

Certainly, they can carpet bomb it if they want. However, to lose an entire planets worth of resources to eliminate a few rebels seems like a waste. Personally, I'd probably just allocate a few military unites to defend the important installations and once the rebels started carrying out attacks, begin to isolate and then constrict them into a tighter and tighter amount of area till they can either be carpet bombed without worry over losing resources or till they can be exterminated outright.

IMO, turning an entire planet to slag wouldn't be allowed because it completely destroys all civilization, the entire ecosystem and significantly alters the atmophere making it uninhabitable as a side effect (see Telos)

You might want to get clarification from an admin, but that's just the way I see it.

And tbh it may not be classy to create a splinter faction if the faction didn't actually have decent IC motivation. The new Mandalore isn't a Taung, and the Taung have a reputation for being crazy xenophobic, so it's pretty damn feasible to me.

Also, it's not exactly classy to wipe out an independant faction based on...what, not liking the concept?

This isn't about the new Mandalore being non-Taung, as
Atin addressed them all as his brothers, telling them that a new era had arrived in the history of the Taung, to survive they must swell their ranks with non-taung as the false Mandalore does, but only those aliens who prove themselves as embodying the best of the Taung virtues.

We'd wipe them out because
A new fighting style would be adopted, one of guerilla warfare against the Hutts and all those who supported the false Mandalore…..

It could still very well be relevant - maybe the Taung don't take offence to working with other races provided the other races remain subserviant to them?

We'd wipe them out because

And how would you figure out where they're striking from? I can imagine that a lot of taung would take offence to a non-Taung being declared Mandalore. ICly you'd be dealing with revolts across all the Taung worlds - are you going to carpet bomb all of them?
