I tried to search if this has been answered already (but since we bunnies are inherently skittish and dumb, nothing turned up), but will the Species and Technology submission forums be re-opened by the time the Time Skip rolls around? I'd love to take my chances at submitting something everyone could enjoy!

Otherwise I'll just wonder if anyone wants me to make a character based off their species. x3

I am guessing this just got passed over accidentally. It seems to be related to bunnies' question
When you mentioned the tech boards was I reading it right that they will be available for posting before the skip for things needed during the skip? And does this apply to the planets as well? On that note who will be fielding questions for the planet and species board now that Johnny is no longer an admin?

Bump to get bac's attention (or someone who's more qualified than me to answer RP questions).

It may be open before. For sure it will be open once the skip hits.

How about a Space Station that creates planets instead of destroying them. That'll throw everyone off

Genesis device? I suppose a bit of canon crossing but still seems like it could be fun.

How much diversity is anticipated between cells? Would all of them share pretty much the same end goals? Or would some want to separate from the empire, some wanting to restore the republic, and some wanting to set up some light side theocracy? And are most expected to stick to the same means? Or might we have rebels that fight "honorably" and only kill imperial soldiers attacking them alongside rebels that hide amongst civilians alongside rebels that slaughter "enemy" civilians and POWs alongside those that eat the hearts of enemy soldiers?

Or will this all be decided by individual cell leaders?

There are three cells, with the Alliance for a New Republic and the True Throne having the most different goals. The ANR wants to set up another republic, whereas the True Throne wants to maintain the empire but without the Sith - just like it was before the Sith returned.

How active will the Sith be in their hunt for Jedi refugees? I'm curious because I made a post-Time Skip character who'll be hiding out on Dantooine (using one of her few skills to hide her force presence). I'm eager to see what happens to others as well.

I admit, I don't know much about the Legacies Era and the Sith Empire itself (though I have been catching up on the site lately!), so I'm just curious to how the Sith will act and feel after this major, awesome victory they're about to have on Coruscant.

Very. Also, Dantooine is deep in Sith Space, so hiding out there is probably not going to work out very well.

Oh I get that, if you visit Xique's character page, Dantooine was her homeworld before the Jedi took her away for training.

She's also not very wise... Intelligent, but not wise. Since she can hide her force presence, she's thinking she can hide out right under the Sith's nose, etc.

I wouldn't immediately shut out hiding on X planet just because it's within Sith territory. It would mainly be affected by whether the Sith consider it important to defend and/or monitor, as they do have a large territory to watch over with limited resources to do so due to the threat of rebel attacks in multiple locations.

I understand that, Lavi, and I didn't say they couldn't hide there. But the Sith would have a presence on the planet (perhaps not a huge one), but some sort of presence at the very least. Also, hiding for ten years might be tricky. Remember, Yoda and Obi-Wan didn't supress their Force presence, as far as I'm aware. Yoda's was obscured by the Dark Cave, and Obi-Wan was hiding in the middle of nowhere.

I'm also curious as to wether Jedi and Sith can conceal their Force Presence while asleep >,.,> Most Force Powers require mental focus, and sleep tends to make you not so focused.

I plan on fleshing all of this out. Her powers are very few, but over the past ten years she's been using mostly her powers to suppress her... 'scent' ...in the force. So I'm thinking maybe it could just be something that naturally occurs for her now without even trying. It'd make it much more jarring when someone powerful figures her out, y'know?

Anyway, I'm totally not hijacking anything. Was just curious on the behavior of the Sith/How they'll be dealing with such a massive territory after the Time Skip.

@ Kiki : If they are out cold? most likely not. however by a master state- and I say this because force users are based on a practice I follow myself- don't need to exactly " sleep" in the sense that we think of, Ive known my own roshi to be awake or in such a shallow state that he kept himself rested, but was still easily alert, sleep was more like a induced zen like trance, long bouts of shikintaza as we do is a similar state, and even if we are doing like a 6 hour sit, one comes out of it feeling as if we slept and rested despite being awake the whole time....

I would assume a master or lord would have a similar ability to a larger more fantastical degree

Well yes, but this is a highly trained Jedi Master we're talking about. And even they would require genuine sleep at some point, no? A Padawan on the run is an entirely different matter.

a padawan would hardly be able to suppress themselves for long periods anyway without good conditioning, its not a basic skill and more unique to the councilor types - though I would think, with use and practive and such you could train certain passive abilities like suppressing your presence to be reflex/instinctual - even more so when you are naturally more relaxed , unlike right now Skhai with the dark lord for example, shes being put into situations where shes getting knocked about and even the slightest "blip" in her ability to focus consciously or unconsciously would be noticed by the lizard. At home where its just her wife, the kids and some taun tauns she does not have much to distract her subconscious reflexes as much, so situational conditions I think may play a big part

One thing to consider is that Dantooine is primarily an agricultural planet, and while it might have Imperials there to keep the peace and maintain order, it's likely not going to have a strong Sith presence, maybe a sith governor and his apprentice, but it's not as though she's hiding across town. Planets are huge, and I think sometimes due to the scope of an entire galaxy in which we roleplay that fact can be forgotten. Also, the fact that she's just a padawan will play into her being able to hide as well, because she's not got a force presence like yoda, or the skywalkers which will make it easier to obscure.

What makes you say that? Dantooine is not industrially advanced, its almost a rural planet. Why would there be Sith presence there? You would have a small imperial base maybe, but I don't expect much else to be there, certainly not a Sith. And hiding from Imperials (normal soldiers) should be easy enough if you aren't particularly stupid, you have the whole planet to hide on after all.

EDIT: Damn, ninja'd by Sheo. :P

Ooooo...what's the third cell? Anarchists? General "I-Hate-Impies"? The Imp-Haterz Coalition?

You thought you could sneak that reference by me without my asking what it was...
