With a thundering rumble in the void of space a single starfighter exited hyperspace over the outer rim world of Tol Amn. Inside the interior of Kotii's cockpit was filled with flashing red lights. The Mandalorian gripped the controls of the starfighter. Underneath his helmet he was gritting his teeth, but for the most part keeping his composure and tapping the controls to divert power immediately to the thrusters.
The rotating blade like wings of the nadyc retrofit starfighter were trailing smoke. The badger's ship had lost its shields completely and some bleed through damage scored burns and left a trail behind the fast attack craft.
The sound his own ship made, with a slightly different tone rang in the echani-offshoot's ears but behind him. A new warning on his ship's sensors pinged confirming his expectation. Indeed, a ship had dropped out of hyperspace and not far from where the Mandalorian had exited either. No sooner had this registered than the man slammed on the fusial afterburner and thrust de-limiter. Both sent Kotii into his seat further as the ship accelerated rapidly to a hundred and thirty megalights per hour.
With power diverted towards the engines Kotii could only begin to think of where he would send a message. He had hoped to shake his tail to not lead them back to other members of the battlegroup but now he was over Tol Amn and practically limping at that. The modified fang class starfighter rapidly descended into the storm wracked skies of a Tol Amn continent. Maybe he would be able to loose his tail that way.
Keeping an eye to make evasive maneuvers, the Alor in exile was not about to let her take desperate shots at him. Hopefully she did not have anything that would catch up to him right away. But if the pilot pushed his ship any more he could cause engine failure at any moment. But that was a risk he was willing to take. The badger was not out of the fight yet. He was only getting started.
Whomever was hounding him, the man had to give the pilot credit. There were only a few locations that were safe jump routes and it was a gamble but one that apparently paid off for them. Maybe Kotii was just that unlucky.
