Gett'se was glad to receive a friendly greeting, for Solus standards at any rate. It seemed that the Alor of Solus was of like mind to him, his description of the situation an apt one.

"Well met Alor Kotii Solus." He chewed on the mans words for a minute in his mind before continuing, but the Alor was right. The more he thought about the situation, the more it smelled like dungar droppings. "Matching your flight pattern... I'll help you dig to the bottom of this shit pile." He chuckled gently before signing off and pulling into formation with the Solus ships.

The red and black of Solus flying with the blue and black of Vizsla was not a sight one saw everyday, and Gett'se's mind was paying close attention to the fang fighters on his scope. Solus was a known quantity to him, they were headstrong and stubborn, but they were honorable. He did not yet know the number of this Orar'da'yadr.

Approaching the protest site in formation, Gett'se smirked under his helmet as he heard the Alor's announcement. If they were to find out the Orar'da'yadr's mettle it would be now as Solus claimed protectorship over the world, named his enemies, and swore to gather his pound in flesh for any crimes against their people. He had to give it to him. He may not like Solus...

But those badgers had balls.

Reshi nodded in agreement and understand, making for the nearest corpse and pulling off the helmet. Though not squimish around death, she wasn't really used to digging around inside a helmet with a half-melted head inside. Still, she managed to pry out the comm unit within.

As Thane headed for the rear of the ship, Reshi started making her way towards what was left of the bridge. It took some effort to pry open some doors, and she had to crawl through some openings that someone bigger than her might not have been able to access. But no-one ever accused a Solus of being a quitter, and ultimately she made her way to the passage leading up to the bridge. The bridge itself was mostly ruined, but she did find a couple of bodies near the door.

They had probably been rushing out to make it to one of the escape hatches so that they could jump ship. Poor souls hadn't made it more than half a dozen feet before the impact of the crash had sucked the life out of them. She inspected both bodies, and while one was completely ruined, the second had a beskar helmet that had survived. She pried it off and instead of wasting time to remove the comm unit she just took the whole darn thing with her. She was sure the armorer who had travelled with them would be able to make some use of the beskar. It was too valuable a resource to just throw away.

"Got the comm-units," she messaged the others inside the ship, "headed out now."

Thane realized the irony of the fact that she was the one climbing back to get the blackbox because he was actually the smaller of the two. Oh well, that was just how it had worked out, and the size difference wasn't that significant.

He shoved the knife in further, prying away the panel until she reemerged with their prize.

We got it, coming out, he said, letting the metal fall back into place and extricating himself from the wreckage. He heard the declaration that they had the communications gear, and he nodded.

Good, he said. Anyone got a display system we can hook this up to? he asked, jutting a finger toward the blackbox. He knew the comm information would likely take longer and require more specialized equipment, but theoretically that wasn't the case for the box.

"Heard," he replied, scanning the area around. A Mandalorian was approaching him now. He sighed.

"Are you the idiot who shot the civvie on Coruscant?" asked the stranger.

"Yeah, that's me," Lex nodded. Might as well own up to it. The stranger started to laugh.

"Man that was so funny," the Mandalorian guffawed. Lex just shrugged. "A lotta dudes who want a piece of you around Mandalorian space after all this."

Lex just shrugged again. He was feeling uncomfortable with the situation but orders were orders and he'd stay with the annoying Mandalorian until Kotii returned. He just tried to tune out remarks as he waited.

Shale remained where she was, arms crossed and watching the others go digging for the blackbox. She mainly looked for any further altercations, watching the small scuffle play out between the Solus and the Skirata. Fisticuffs were entirely common between clans, especially when Solus was around. She watched with mild amusement for a while until the others declared that the blackbox had been found.

Shale turned towards Veren and nodded, walking over towards him, “I got one,” She said as she pulled up her datapad that was streaming the Holonet news. Shale swiped aside a few apps, revealing that one of them was an app about the Emryc Thorne fanclub. She wasn’t ashamed to reveal that she was a member. Anyone that had a problem with it could eat beskar.

She would allow him to hook it up and start playing the feed for everyone gathered to hear.

It wasn't the most difficult maneuver, but getting the box out from the outside was perhaps much easier than accessing from inside; less likelihood of catching on fire if wires crossed in the ship. But as it was, she wasn't quite as in touch with other technology; her specialty was in weapons and armor, not slicing and tech. So when Veren took the blackbox from her, she stood, and dusted off her cloak, once more picking up her hammer and slinging it over her shoulder for the time being.

She would wait and watch to see what this tech could give them, but was slightly disappointed Kotii didn't comm her back. He has more duties to deal with, she reminded herself stubbornly, but couldn't help the small sense of disappointment gnaw at the back of her mind. Whatever the information was, she hoped to be prepared to swing her hammer on those that would harm civilians. No matter what other people might have thought, this planet was still sacred to her, and having something this karking senseless happen made her itch to pummel something.

Or maybe she was just hangry. She hadn't really had the chance to eat much since events unfolded.

Reshi walked up with Thane as the Vizsla offered up a means to access the black-box's data. As Thane connected the black-box to the datapad, a small crowd started gathering around them. Mandalorians were anything if not inquisitive.

Words in Mando'a played out of the the datapad, the last recordings from the device, and more than one head titled in confusion. At someone's suggestion the data was scrubbed back a little till it showed the point of origin of the device. Reshi promptly noted it down and realizing that Kotii was nearby send off the coordinates to him with the title "Pirate base coordinates". (@Darasuum)

While this was going on, someone had managed to patch into one of the comm units they had pulled out from the downed men and got a patch through to the data it held. She was barely sending the info to Kotii when the recording started playing.

"So it's fan girls fighting fan girls?" As the recording started playing everyone turned to listen. "Scramble the stolen vessels and bomb their hovels. I want them to think pirates did it. Then reach out to Roon and have them begin mobilizing their forces. I don't know why his fan club is here, but I want them prepared to strike the ISC in any event. And then contact Solus, tell them to get their dog back on his leash. Hes drawing attention to the Yaim."

Reshi just stared from face to face, waiting for someone to say something, anything. Her Mando'a might not be the most polished, but she knew exactly what had been said, and it was confusing as frick. "Play that again," she asked, "play that again."

Dust rolled among itself through the relative wastelands around them, and Lex watched the soldiers discussing among stopped ships a bit off into the distance. There were others flying above them, searching the skies for any other potential intruders. He took a deep breath, held it, then sighed. He was bored.

The Mandalorian could see a small crowd gather very close, so he motioned to the other Mando--the annoying one--to follow him, and the two stepped among the others. In the center, a few people were looking through what was presumably the crashed ship's blackbox recording. Though uninteresting, another recording played suddenly, drawing a hushed silence from the outroar that had started after the end of the blackbox. Lex listened intently, his eyes set on the datapad.

Their dog? Disgust and anger tore through him like hot metal, blood rushing to his cheeks. He grit his teeth and squeezed his fingers into his fist. A million curses coursed through his mind in Mando'a, a thousand insults and ways to die for the one speaking. He was livid, but he did not show it, instead keeping that rage in his chest, that shame at being insulted in such a way in front of so many people. He wanted to bury his head into the sand and pretend he wasn't there, but he also wanted to find the person speaking and skin them with his bare hands.

A woman asked them to play it again, and Lex didn't really care to hear it again, but he wanted to hear those words again, to make sure he hadn't been dreaming. After the second play, the crowd got to speaking, hushed chatter scattered everywhere.

"Hey," declared a voice from the crowd. It belonged to a Mandalorian standing by Lex, a Kelborn. "Look, it's the Solus dog! Woof woof! Woof woof" she barked, then laughed and giggled. Her friends joined in, until a good quarter of the crowd was hurling insults at Lex and the rest was laughing. A shove came from behind, but he didn't stumble forward. He stayed his ground, slowly turning to see who had done it. He spotted the culprit, and for a brief instant he felt like driving his concealed blade into the man's throat in front of all these people, to show them what a badger did when it was cornered. But cooler heads prevailed. He stepped up to the man until their helmets were nearly touching, the Solus just a tad bit taller. Silence fell over the crowd.

"You're a child." The words were cold but cut like a steel blade. His voice was deadpan and dry. He turned toward the woman, too. "You're children, all of you. More concerned with some meaningless drama than a very real event, right here before you. Civilians died. And you're all laughing. If you want your beskar'gam to mean something, if you want to be more than some two-bit, double-crossing beroya, you gotta be more than that, di'kut." The Mandalorian turned on his heel and strode the few steps needed back to his ship, and slid the mouthpiece of his helmet up--a magnificent invention by Koil Solus--and lit a cigarette.

The large obsidian triangular wings, painted with blood red markings that rotated like coated claws around the Shadow Gauntlet. Inside it was just the Alor of House Solus and a loyal vod as his co-pilot. At the controls, they saw the damage from a distance as the ship slowed, it's wings turning to angle skyward while the main body remained horizontal. Kotii's visor looked towards Aden's. The faint ping the controls on each of the bounty hunter's vambraces sounded in the cockpit. If there were more Aruetii that posed a danger they would be ready for it.

The duo exited the transport, having it close and lock behind them with the badger sigil visible for those in view. From it, the two red and black armored warriors would head towards the news broadcasting and the man who needed to have some news told to him that was fine delivering in person. It was just the two of them approaching the leader of the Orar'da'yadr. But it was Kotii in the lead. Actually, there was the Vizsla following wherever he landed his Y wing.

<"The Shadow's received a message from a fellow Badger, chief. It's from the crash site."> (@Wit ) Aden's voice was calm. But his boiling passion could be seen by the leader of the Aliit and was given away by his clenched fists. Kotii's own fists were clenched he realized as they walked. The black gloved hands, cybernetic and flesh alike tightened further as they walked through the injured and wounded. <"Tell them where we are or to turn on their holoprojectors, local news. I'll be right there after this. Otherwise patch them through to my helmet.">" There would be a short period for him to walk to wards the towering Mandalorian.

Srucayr stood a few inches taller than Kotii, his visor would meet the Jaig Eyes of the man just as easily as the Alor's true eyes as he stood aggressively close but stopping short of a keldabe kiss. <"Stand down. House Solus is in Command, vod. You have a problem with it? You bring it to me."> He hooked a thumb towards himself to emphasize his words. <"Otherwise I'll muzzle you and show you how I treat my dogs."> It was a clear warning meant to either get the warrior to act or shut up and do as he was told. Clans under House Solus wouldn't have been surprised by this. There were plenty of Mando'a speakers out there in the galaxy that were dar'manda and aruetii alike. It wasn't like others wouldn't see it. Now the leader had been put in his place. Nine hells, knowing just Doctor Morata spoke the language would later put a smile on Kotii's face. But not now. Instead his fair skinned complexion was contorted into a visage of anger and challenge. Back down or I will put you down

Do they even have media on Mandalore? Or is it just all, I dunno, Beskar workshops and shooting ranges? The movies make it out like it's a Corellia's South, but with wackier armour and they actually, shoot straight. But to be honest, since I've been planetside, for all of a day, I've seen like, a bar and shit. I even saw barbers, which made me think, how do they cut their hair if they can't take those tin cans off? I think I'll ask one of them.

"Hey." Voren breathed out a large cloud of smoke from his hand-rolled stim "I'm looking for the Alor in charge, tell 'em Voren Dhur wants to talk to them." he added with a self-satisfied smirk at his own linguistic excellence. and the helmeted Mandalorian standing in front of the smoking wreckage of the protestors ship, clearly having drawn the short straw to have to deal with the people here to cover what was only meant to have been a protest by some weird fandom.

"Piss off."

"Revolutionary intellect really buzzing around here, eh?" he laughed, alone - the Mandalorian did not share his humour.

"Piss off."

"Well, hot damn it's all firing up there ain't it buddy. You mind if I poke around?" Voren replied to his helpful compatriot, who shrugged, as Voren hopped past him and joined some of the other milling reporters, before getting out his camera, and snapping a few pictures of some of the people probing through the wreck for the backbox. He shouted out one of the helmeted figures.

"Hyperlane Herald here. Any idea on who was behind this attack?" he asked, eager to get something for his next scoop.

If he was quick, he could get that story in fast, and the fee might pay his rent this week.

Maybe.
