After the troop transport landed, the Orcolan strode down the landing ramp towards the bright light outside. Blazing before Jade was a horizon of fire in contrast with the dark Korriban sky. The heat wafting off of the Gates of Fire could be felt from where she stood. It was at odds with the severe cold and chill she was used to. Still, wearing little in the way of proper layers, the Orcolan wasn't breaking a sweat, yet. Behind her sat the borrowed troop transport they had taken to the location which had enough space to bring other individuals.

The tall acolyte was joined by more experienced individuals. A Sith Lord, his apprentice, and another Champion were in attendance which encouraged Jade to act on her her best behavior. Koribban was a foreign world to her but knew it was significant. The Sith and its ancestors had a great deal of history which took time to learn for the Orcolan.

The red and yellowed eyes of the Orcolan already showed some signs of dark side corruption. The flames that rose out of the wide historical crater licked and flickered in the reflection of her eyes. Her indoctrination was steeped in brutality but thus far, she had never witnessed first hand a sight like this. Struck by the view, her gaze would eventually look to her superiors curiously.

The head of her vibro-mace was sitting on the ground with its the pommel of the handle nearly reaching up to Jade's shoulder. Aside from that, she had only her lightsaber with its ivory hilt on one hip. Leaning on the great mace, the acolyte tried to analyze the landscape around her. This was a learning moment, surely. But what kind of lesson Jade was going to learn remained obscure.

Telo breathed in the air, his chest heaved in and out the heat that filled the air made it difficult for the young sith to catch his breath. The thick black uniform clung to his skin, where his skin had become damp especially across his back. His cheers we’re flustered with a rouge. Pulling out a cloth he mopped his forehead, wiping the sweat away from his almost porcelain white skin. Unlike many other Sith, Telo seemed to have no visual representation of the dark side corruption, he was materialistic, selfish human who loved the finer things in life and to top of off he was even more vein. His fingers gently pushed through his red locks moving the hair from his face out of his hazel eyes.

Those same eyes glinted as they fell upon the crater, it almost felt as though he was staring at the sun. There was so much power that radiated from it, he almost hungered for it’s power, to control it for himself. It welled through him, doubling up with all of the powerful sith that had stepped here before, echoing through the past.

His fingertips rested gently against his saber, not to draw it but it was almost second nature to keep his hand close to his weapon. He pondered what the intention was to be here, was it to simply site see or was there more to it?

It was the first time that Senin had visited Korriban. For someone with his curiosity for the myths and legends, the Acolyte felt like a small child at a toy store. There were so many places that he wanted to visit. From the tombs of the ancient Sith Lords to the ruins of ancient temples. He wanted to see everything.

He really needed this distraction. After the invasion of Dantooine, Senin had started to think more about his life and what he should do now. Xeno had said that they would need more training, but so far nothing happened. Maybe now that the Zabrak became a Sith Lord, he was planning to abandon him. Well, the Acolyte would blame him for that. It was the Sith way after all. Even so, it would not stop him from hating the Zabrak forever.

The Acolyte had decided to start his tour across Korriban by visiting the Gates of Fire, also known as Sidious’ Hole. When Senin heard this name for the first time, he couldn’t stop giggling. It was so hilarious.

The only thing that he disliked about going to this place was how hot it was. His hair, which was dyed black, was sticking to his forehead. At least, his dark purple eyeshadow was still perfect. Being vain as he was, Senin would prefer to die if it was damaged. Thinking about the damage, he was so relieved that the doctors were able to restore his nose to its original perfection. He would still make this Echani Padawan pay. Starting by cutting each of his fingers.

When he finally arrived at Sidious’ Hole. Senin noticed that there were two people there. One was a young man, who seemed to be not much older than him. The other was a female from a species that he wasn’t able to identify. With a smirk on his lips, he thought that both of them were hot.

Since the other two were only staring in silence at the Gates of Fire, the Acolyte decided to do the same. There, close to a place so full of the Dark side, Senin could feel it covering his body. It was a wonderful sensation. It made him feel more powerful. He closed his eyes, allowing his body to be covered by this sensation.

Korriban. There was so much history to unpack from this planet alone. The Sith held this planet long ago as a profitable home world, and now they hold it again. The dark side of the force is built into this planet so deeply. It's radiating from the core out to the very surface of the planet at which Draugr had stood looking on at the Gate of Fire. Or Sidious' Hole as most call it.

"Senin, Telo, Jade.."

Draugr walked in front of the three, two acolytes and one champion among the three. Looking towards the three of them he had a stoic look on his face. Not really looking to show praise or to scrutinize the lower ranked Sith, nor his apprentice. Instead here to offer something to the Sith present. They each offered something to him. His apprentice Senin was quick witted, Jade was strong and fierce, and Telo was light on his feet and could maneuver quickly. All valuable things to be within the likes of an apprentice or follower.

"Look out in front of you.. tell me what you see."

Before he gets to the proposition, he should first learn how they truly act. Each could be very different in many different ways, Senin was a bit of a history buff, so of course he would get a literal answer from the apprentice, but his focus was on what the other two had thought.

Since coming to the world the Acolyte had felt the dark side. A constant coldness that refreshed her lungs the more she took in the burning cinder filled air. The cool chill of the dark side combined with the very real heat of the Crater of Flames. Standing before it she was entranced. It was only when she heard Darth Draugr's voice that she realized she had not blinked since exiting the landing craft. Her eyes returned to focus by the time the Sith Lord called her name.

"Power" She replied first and without hesitation. There were stories of Korriban and more specifically the Gates of Fire. It was said Andraste left her mark on the planet. That a something dwells beneath it, or beyond it. There many rumors and myths surrounding the point of interest but all of them told her that at the center of the truth there was power.

She wanted it. Jade wanted to know what it was and then achieve it. If it were given to her it would not be the same. She wanted to earn it and unravel the mystery, to walk beyond the freezing cold and the burning heat.

Taking a deep breath, straightening to an even fuller height, Jade calmed herselfin the presence of others. This was where she needed to be but she must not be arrogant. The Dark Side of the Force was dangerous but she could keep it in check within herself as long as it was hers. As long as she took it, and wasn't just given it. That would be...glorious She had a long way to go. Jade felt she was in the right place to take the next step forward.

The Sith Champion’s gaze didn’t not pull away from crater, it was like nothing he’d seen before beautiful yet terrifying all at once. Telo barely heard Lord Draugr ask his question, he was just so taken by crater and the power it held.

Jade gave her answer, simple yet precise. Telo couldn’t argue it was power in it’s more raw form.

Pausing for a moment before he replied, not even looking back at the powerful sith lord to answer him, his eyes locked with the crater.

“I see greatness, greatness that knows itself and only itself. Unwavering, uncaring and unaffected by anything else. Not corrupted by evil nor guilted by good, simply being.” He said, with a somewhat jealous tone, frustrated with his lot. He wasn’t against sith or their teachings, but Telo felt somewhat restricted in a sense forced to be on a path that perhaps didn’t want walk on and yet the alternative seemed even worse, he couldn’t even imagine the tedious life that a Jedi must live.

Either it didn’t matter, the thoughts and jealously we’re his own and the path he walked was simply what was in front of him maybe he would step off but now he’d continue.
