J'aver's usage of Trakata seemed like it would pay dividends, sure they were likely to lose an arm from the assault but the Jedi would be theirs. It was in the moment before the rush of victory, just before they could have the heart beat to relish and savor in their accomplishment, that it was ripped away. So focused was J'aver that they had forgotten their surroundings, they had forgotten the battle that raged around them. Instead, the only thing that mattered to them was this singular duel, this test of skill and might against an opponent that they had found worthy.

The interruption of the worthless (@Altaris) robbed them of victory.

J'aver failed to sense the grip of telekinetic energy that was sent towards them. It grasped onto them as their lightsaber snapped back to life within the Jedi's guard. The momentum from J'aver's swing continued as the target of their assault was given the briefest moment to leap back and J'aver was ripped away from him. The jerk of energy forced J'aver off balance and caused them to tumble down a pair of the duracrete steps. The crimson blade of their lightsaber effortlessly turning the material into little more than molten slag before one of their hands managed to break their roll. The only saving grace was that this interloper's blindside attack had saved J'aver from his prey's backhanded slash as he leapt away.

A fleshy howl of rage echoed from the static of their helmet.

J'aver didn't spring back to their feet, their mind was too lost in the haze of battle, they had been given a taste of what might temporarily sate this need of theirs. They would not be denied. As the Jedi landed on the steps above them, J'aver would launch themself towards them, in a mad scrambling dash that began on all fours but quickly transitioned into a low sprint up towards their prey. J'aver bounded up the stairs and chased the Jedi like a maddened hound, instinct drove them to once again twist the dark side to their command, they couldn't let the Jedi escape.

As J'aver began to close the distance and Jedi continued to back away from them, the Jedi once again feel the chill coils of the Dark Side embrace him. A sudden and forceful jerk would aim to disrupt his balance, potentially causing him to stumble, and then fall back into the maw of the predator that pursued him relentlessly. J'aver forced the Dark Side to obey them, aiming to pull the Jedi back down the stairs and towards them before he could make it to the top of the stairs. They would thrust with their blade, the goal was to catch the Jedi on its burning red plasma, to impale him. J’aver would claim a final victory over the Master of Ice.

The need must be sated.

The haze needed to be lifted.

Blood must be spilled.

Serene could feel her telekinetic grip around Ferrin’s neck just as he let out his own force attack against J’aver down the stairs. The lightsaber directed back at her was instead grabbed by her comrade, saving her the trouble. But in the moment the Pantoran did not even seem to register the dark sider choking him, likely no thanks to his concentration on the other Champion. When the Jedi’s senses finally registered the danger he was in the grip was already tightening. The light sided defender would feel the pressure on the bottoms of their feet decreasing as the woman willed the dark side to raise the man off the ground which he did not resist.

He would not give up without a fight, though it would seem to er on the side of desperate from Serene’s perspective. The woman’s saber defensively slashed in front of her, cutting the curtain of mud, rock and small debris that would have been a bother and now reduced to a annoyance which she used to concentrate on the blue skinned foe. Her visor remained clear with the detritus missing her helmet and mostly missing the rest of her body completely since it had been a spray to keep her from dodging to either side. Plenty of liquid and mud was not instantly vaporized, but it hardly slowed the confident woman down and did little more than to soil her outfit.

Even if the female Champion had not cut through the launched muck and rubble, her protective plates and helmet prevented such things from bothering her in most cases. The armor weave fibers woven into her underlay would save her from the trivial bruises and lacerations the Jedi’s attack made.

The Pantoran man was lifted off the ground and dragged out over the crowd of forces. His feet would dangle and flail of the heads before rising out of reach from them. The woman finally stopped walking at the base of the stairs, guiding the Knight as he choked towards her but stopping half way between them. She wanted him to ,maintain an exemplary altitude of two meters over the middle of the stairway and its combatants beneath him.

Her helmet stared at him blankly with her digits slowly decreasing the already miniscule distance between them. The red and black color scheme of her helm was immaculate while the rest of her may have been covered in moist dirt. But beneath the red plastoid, her beautiful face was twisted into a sadistic grin. She wanted all Jedi to see what awaited them. They would have to do more than force pushes and dirt clods if they wanted to live through this. But the Knight would find it a struggle to battle his instincts as his body registered his need for air. It would be even more difficult with each passing second to concentrate effectively. They were meters apart, but make no mistake, Serene was strangling him while his comrades let him die.

I know this. You know this. So just...let....go.

Though the jedi struck for Traels arm, he would continue his maneuver. It being more of a parry then a direct block. Pivoting to the side would get him out of dismemberment range, but the shotosaber would still graze his arm. While pivoting he would bring his saber away from the jedis. Because of the tension the jedis main blade would slide down. He would wince out in pain as he brings down his saber into the smaller one missing the primary weapon.

Since his calling of the saber went uninterrupted it flies into his hand not igniting though. As the saber is grabbed the force would push out towards the jedi like a wall. His main concern to gain some distance. After his force push his second blade ignites and is held at his side as he inspects his arm wound. Cursing under his breath he returns his focus to the jedi.

To his relief, Dash managed to leap clear of the Sith, if only because they were yanked backwards by an unseen Force. The Rhinnalian glimpsed his friends down below as he scrabbled backwards and said a silent prayer of thanks to whichever had intervened. If they made it through this, he was going to owe someone big time. Please not Ferrin.

The almost humorous thought was mad given the imminent mortal danger, but Dash was boosted by escaping the jaws of death and adrenaline pounded in his veins. He ran up the remaining steps, the Sith's fall giving him precious seconds to put some distance between them. He hurried up them backwards and sideways, never daring to take one eye off the Sith, who sure enough came bounding after him.

Dash knew now the beast would strike as soon as it could and his saber was up, his free hand reaching for the Force, hoping to face it down on the terrace. The burn on his arm screamed at him and he tried to shut it out, but he barely made the ledge of the terrace before he felt the Sith grasp for him again, yanking him back. Not again!

Fury and frustration burst from Dash. No sooner did he feel the Sith's jerk than he slashed violently in its direction with both saber and hand, as he was pulled back face to face with his approaching foe.

Dash struck with anger for the first time in his life, and the force blast from his palm was more deadly than his blade. Equally matched as they were, their two wills exploded in the space between them with a percussive blast, likely sending both flying in different directions. The Sith would find theirself left with a deep debilitating chill trying to nestle amidst his bones, Dash's desire to kill leaving a lasting effect.

Their duel played out above the battlefield below, where Hapan, Jedi and Sith alike were increasingly fighting to the last. All their fates hung in the balance, with no way of knowing if reinforcements would arrive from one faction or none.

Moonlight bit into the Sith’s shoulder, but to the warriors credit they weren’t stopped by the attack. Their crackling blades exchanged touches, but it wasn’t enough. The Sith’s blade landed in his hand and with it came a sudden push of the force. Baudelaire felt the Force shove him backward. His boots slid in the muck under their soles, but he managed to retain his balance.

Leon flourished his blades returning to his unconventional fencing stance. They were back to a stand off. Baudelaire’s mischievous little smirk settled on his lips as he began to channel the force into his off hand.

A plan began to form in the Adumarian’s mind. His verdant eyes met the predatorial glare of his adversary.

His smirk widened as he began to circle his foe blades at the ready, Daybreak in front and Moonlight held close.

Despite her quick response, Serene would quickly find her defense to be inadequate against what Ferrin was doing.

The Sith Champion would have no difficulty cutting her saber through the broad wave of mud and rocks - though it did next to nothing in preventing the oncoming trajectory. The blade of crimson plasma did cut through a few stray rocks caught in its path, but it only sent their sliced and superheated fragments hurtling into the Sith Champion.

Water didn’t merely vaporize upon contact with a lightsaber, and the thrown liquid merely passed around the swing of Serene’s blade. Given the Sith Champion did nothing else to shield her face, she would take the full brunt of the intended attack - pelted with rocks from mutiple angles, while her visor was completely smeared with mud from the surface of Kashyyyk.

Nevertheless, Ferrin felt the effects of her strangulation all-too-keenly. Iron bands tightened around his throat, slowly cutting off his airways and squeezing the life from his body. He couldn’t help the chokes that escaped from his lips, feeling the edges of his vision darken as the need for air increased. Bruises worked their way around his throat, visions of his previous confrontation with Vizim immediately coming to mind.

With what strength he could still channel, Ferrin outstretched his left hand - unleashing a Force push from the tips of his fingers, aiming to slam directly into Serene’s torso and send her hurtling backwards. His attack was timed almost immediately after the blinding wave of mud and chunks of rock struck Serene’s visor, capitalizing on her blinded state and inability to see what was coming directly towards her. The rapid-succession of the attack aimed to interrupt the hold she had established around his throat, before she would have the opportunity to tighten her grip further.

Autohit based on inadequate defense.

As J’aver’s blade lanced forward, they anticipated the cold chill of fear to stain the Jedi’s presence in the Force. They had hope to taste the emotion the Jedi felt right before all his hopes, dreams, and aspirations were snuffed out. Instead a different emotion muddied the Jedi’s presence, anger.

J’av knew all too well the power anger could give when molded into hate. He knew that if the Jedi just allowed himself to utilize that raw emotion to tap into the limitless power of the dark side, then he’d be more than a match for J’av.

But they knew the Jedi wouldn’t cross that line, he was too cowardly.

J’aver was not.

J’aver fueled their connection to the Dark Side, turning their spite into hatred. They let the nectar of the Dark Side flow freely through their veins as they ripped the Jedi towards them. But this Jedi didn’t stand idle, they turned and with a cold killing fury lashed out in reply. J’av was forced to defend themself for the first time in the duel.

Their hilt of their blade was life upwards, at an angle to catch their opponent’s blade near their own emitter. The lock their lightsabers entered was brief, and then their telekinetic energies intermingled, intertwined, and raged for supremacy. There was no time to react, no time to stop the welled power.

In that moment, as the horror of the situation unfolded, the haze was lifted. For the briefest of moments a faintly translucent bubble formed when their power intermingled. And then it detonated.

BOOM

Both combatants were hurled away from one another with equal force. J’aver was sent tumbling down the stair behind them. They bounced down several steps, six in total, before coming to a crashing halt. J’av laid still for a moment, every inch of their body ached and some of it screamed in agony. Their breathing came in ragged short gasps, not only from exertion but also from the pain whenever they breathed.

As J’av stood, they winced, at least a pair of bruised ribs, potentially one was cracked. Their helmeted gaze cast itself back upwards towards the Jedi, would likely was slammed into the set of stairs behind them which had the potential to be even more brutal. The Sith waited to see if their opponent would rise from their position, only then would their lightsaber snap and hiss back to life.

J’av began to limp back up the stairs towards the Jedi. Their freehand tugged loose their blaster pistol before rattling off a trio of shots as they ascended the stair case. One shot aimed for the legs, the other aimed for lower torso, and the final at upper chest. How dearly J’aver wanted to charge back into the fray with the Jedi, but simple put they couldn’t. This fight would have to play out slower now that both the Jedi and themself were injured in the backlash of their own powers.

STOP RUNNING JEDI!” They screamed out, their comms unit on their helmet coated their voice in a mix of pops and static. “FACE ME!” They continued in raw frustration and anger.

The coiled grip around the Pantoran’s blue neck was monstrous in both the pressure it was exerting and the fact it was unseen, incorporeal and could not be pulled away by normal fingers. Such an act would lead nowhere and Jedi likely knew this well. Serene watched the Jedi floating, raised by his neck over the heads of his fellow fanatics and the expression of fear and desperation displayed on Ferrin’s face.

However before she could advance further or bring the man down the stairs the Champion’s view would be obstructed by mud. The rest of the rocks and debris scuffed her clad body and made superficial marks before being stopped by armorweave or hardened plates. The threat of the flying missiles were negated the instant they came into contact with her lightsaber though the rest were trivial at best. The red and black colors of Serene's garb were now coated in dark brown and black dirt which was certainly a bother.

The woman’s hand remained outstretched and her grip against the Knight remained true, for now. Serene deactivated her lightsaber before doing so, not wanting to risk self-injury just to wipe her helmet. The woman snarled behind her helmet at the inconvenience and tightened her grip further as a consequence, more aggressively than before. It would be slightly more painful for the man however it would not hasten his demise and was just the Sith's sadistic nature. She would not advance another step without being able to see and rapidly wiped the front of her visor with the inside of her arm.

Just as her vision cleared, the Champion saw from behind tinted material the thrusting arm of her victim in her direction. Serene’s corrupted eyes widened but she knew it was already too late. There was no time to so much as jam her lightsaber into the ground or dodge to the side.

Having been previously blinded by the muck, the petite Champion was pushed back several meters and further away from the base of the stairs, back out into the open. Serene tried her best to roll and adjust her body to allow for relatively safe. Her acrobatic training kicked in and focused on preservation momentarily rather than offense. She was well aware of where the corpses were she had walked over moments before. Had the Jedi not been gasping for air, Serene might have actually been sent tumbling far less gracefully. However she moved with the push and recovered by expertly somersaulting backwards twice and coming to a stop and resuming her expression of contempt as she looked towards the Temple.

Meanwhile, the Jedi would feel the pressure release the instant his telekinetic push forced the Sith back. He would fall the meager few meters without an issue but the oxygen deprivation would leave him gasping for air at the top of the stairs. It would give Serene plenty of time to recover. So far the Jedi had only managed to damage her uniform and test her patience.

Using her free hand, the Sith reached behind her and grabbed one of the repulsor vibro-blades sheathed on the small of her back. In the same motion she tapped the repulsor activation button, and threw the spinning weapon towards the same Jedi. The arc of it would curve and be guided further by the outstretched hand of the Sith to more accurately slice into the Pantoran’s center of mass.

@Apollyon @Zay @Altaris @Alhon @Javier esschoolbus

Serene wipes the mud off her visor but gets hit by the force push and does her best to backflip and recover. She loses her Force Choke and drops Ferrin. Serene then throws a vibrorepulsor blade at Ferrin while he's recovering and using the force to guide it.

As he’d circled he’d closed in. Not just moving around the Sith in orbit, but slowly winding closer, prepared for a sudden attack, so by the time he reached his back, the distance created by the Sith’s push was practically negated. Baudelaire wasn’t sure why the Sith had allowed him to circle around to his back. Maybe they were that confident in their abilities. Good for them.

The force continued to swell in his off-hand.

Suddenly, Leon shot forward with supernatural speed. Closing the distance between himself and his opponent in the blink of an eye.

Daybreak lashed out.

The pale yellow blade arched out in front of The Jedi horizontally from The Sith’s lowered saber side to his wounded shoulder. The intent was to end this conflict. Moonlight was kept at the ready, prepared to defend a counter. All the while Leon continued to build the power gathering in his off hand.

Their opposing Force attacks met like two highly reactive elements. Neither saw the blast coming, as the air rippled and burst, flinging them apart.

Dash had lent down to meet the Sith, and they had struck upward. That angle, matching the slope of the steps beneath their feet, was the only thing that saved the Rhinnalian from certain death.

As the Sith was thrown down the stairs, Dash was thrown up them. His posture meant he avoided being shoved at a right angle against the stone, but nothing could save him from skittering, flailing up the steps in defiance of gravity. Their hard edges caught him as he flew, shredding his shoulder cape and tearing into his back despite the duraplast inserts in his armor.

He had not been far from the top as it was. In the time it took the Sith to tumble to a stop, Dash was launched up and over the rim, onto the flat terrace he had made a run for earlier.

He lay there for a moment before trying to roll to his feet, every sense telling him his back was grazed and cut to bits where his armor had torn. It screamed as if on fire. There was also a pain in his side, not unlike the deep groan of bruised ribs he remembered from drama school.

Somehow his saber hilt was still in his hand, the violent ripple in the Force having made him grip hard on instinct like an electric shock.

He reignited his blue blade and hurried the three steps back to the edge, knowing his opponent was insatiable. He had decided even before he saw them that this had to end. His new injuries joined the old and he knew he could not keep this up. If he could just drive the Sith back further, either the Hapans or the surviving Jedi would surely force them to withdraw.

Dash crested the top of the stone and saw the Sith limping up towards him, balling his fist in anger that the beast had survived. His blade held protectively across his body in his right hand, he did not waste a second, kneeling and bringing his left fist down to strike the stone.

He had not anticipated a blaster. The sudden kneel meant Dash caught the first bolt on his blade, and the third sailed over where his head had been. The second though hit him square in his left shoulder pauldron, jolting him and twinging his attack with pain and anguish.

His fist hit the stone and all the pain and fury he was feeling erupted in ice. An initial splay of frozen steps immediately below him was followed by a fast creeping frost, one that expanded down the slope toward the Sith, making the surface almost impossible to gain a footing on and halting any advance.

Dash kept his fist there, fuelling it, pouring his last reserves into a no man's land the beast could not cross. If the Sith did not leap back, it would likely be pulled down. It had to be weary too by now, not only from it's injuries but from the chilling effect Dash sensed the earlier blast had left over.

"Not today!" Dash shouted down, as much as he wished he could vanquish the thing. Blaster fire and the clash of sabers still sounded at the Sith's back. Unlike him, it had two fronts to consider.

  • The blast throws Dash up onto the terrace, atop the steps
  • He incurs a grazed/cut back and bruised ribs
  • He rises and hurries back, blade out, to the edge of the terrace, looking down at J'av
  • He kneels and launches a tactile Force attack, at the same time J'av opens fire
  • Dash dodges one shot and blocks another, but takes a hit in the shoulder, dampened by armor

Just as his Force Push made contact, Ferrin felt the coil around his throat release. He fell the meager two meters back to the ground, landing in a crouch as he gasped to fill his lungs with oxygen. He could feel the remnants of her grip on his throat - the bruises and pain that lingered with every intake of air - even if she’d failed to solidify the choke into anything more. He never took his eyes off the woman, watching as she dramatically flipped through the air and continued to play at a distance.

Rising back to his feet, Ferrin didn’t hesitate to begin moving down the stairs - intent upon closing the distance between himself and the Sith. He watched as Serene pulled the vibroblade from her belt - throwing it towards his center mass with deadly intent. Reaching out with the Force, Ferrin merely lifted two fingers off the hilt of his lightsaber - unleashing a push to send the Vibroblade spinning off its regular trajectory. Unless moved with the Force, the blade would continue along to pierce into the back of J’avier - much closer and almost certainly not expecting it, considering the intensity of the fight with Dash.

The assistance of the repulsor-activated feature. would ensure the weapon traveled the full distance and at much high velocity. Designated only to return upon piercing a target, Serene would be unable to rely on the smart-repulsor built into the vibroblade.

The Pantoran continued right down the stairs and towards Serene - closing the distance and moving into melee range. His free hand extended out to coil the Force around her left leg, attempting to pull her towards himself. He kept his lightsaber positioned defensively, cautious in the event that the woman attempted to pull the vibroblade through the air again.

J’aver gritted their teeth in spite as the Jedi slammed their fist into the ground, they felt the power channeled into the ground. They watched as frost spread from the Jedi’s hand and stretched outwards from that epicenter, creating a frozen haven for the Jedi. J’aver cursed inwardly as they took a small leap backwards to avoid the growing ice. They would winced in pain upon landing. However, they would continue to take measured steps backwards and down as the ice spread towards them, they seethed with every step.

The coward believed that he had created an exit point for himself. He might have hoped his friends would do away with J’aver or that they would simply take their leave as he did. J’av didn’t intend on playing that game, nor did they intend on letting the Jedi leave. While it was true, J’av was now on the side of the stairs where the battle raged, thanks to the frozen wasteland the Jedi poured himself into making. But this was where J’av thrived, in war, chaos, and death. The Jedi himself was safe from the monster that was J’av…

His friends were not.

As J’av stepped back from the advancing ice, they’d holster their blaster and cock their head at the Jedi. The HUD in J’av’s helmet snapped a few stills of their opponent’s face to study later, to allow their hate and rage to focus on. Then the creature would glance over their shoulder and spot out the Worthless (@Altaris) locked in combat with a fellow Sith. The worm was advancing in their ally. It would be a march that would suddenly halt. The Dark Sider would turn to the agony of their wounds, the pain that radiated with their every breath, and used it to fuel their connection to the Force.

J’av would return their gaze to the Jedi (@Alhon) crouched above them, completely unaware of the vibroblade that lanced towards them. They would be entirely reliant upon their ally’s control over the blade to protect them. Jav’s now free hand would shoot up as if it was a claw grasping prey. Tendrils formed of pure spite and hate would lock around the Pantoran’s throat. Unlike the female Sith he fought, J’av wouldn’t toy with their food, they intended to kill, and the choke mirrored that intent. As J’av continued to back away from the ice that quickly sapped the blonde Jedi’s strength, they would start to close their grip and would call up to their target. When the Jedi when he screamed his response, J’av would reply

YOU WILL FIGHT ME!” J’av would scream out in a mechanically filtered pained wheeze. “OR THEY DIE!

With that final choice given, J’av would only wait for a moment before they closed the grip with brutal finality. The choice would have to be instinctually made, J’av wouldn’t allow time to discuss or mull the decision over. If the Jedi chose to re-engage with them, J’av would relinquish their chokehold on the pathetic Pantoran Jedi. With the Jedi’s allies locked in combat with their own rivals, the only hope would be the blade as it flew and the Jedi. Without his aid there would be no-one to break J’aver’s concentration on the Force Choke. This blonde Jedi would have to watch as his friend died at the hands of the Sith, a sacrifice for him to escape or they would have to continue the duel, despite their likely exhausted state.

During this whole time, J’av would do nothing to directly interrupt Dash’s use of cyrokinesis. They would allow the Jedi to pour his reserves into creating a no-man’s land and exhaust himself. It would make the kill so much easier. Regardless of the Jedi’s choice, the murder lust would be sated and J’aver would know relief, even if it was a brief reprieve.

Though Trael had allowed the jedi to circle him he didn't let his guard down completely. Expecting the jedi to do the same move he did to initiate the earlier attack when he landed. He began rotating his blade to be a reverse grip when the jedi dashed towards him. Throwing him off slightly forcing him to amplify his strength using the force in order to block this attack. Just barely succeeding his cape is sliced off and the blade barely misses the siths back. The blade still being close to him one wrong move could end in being split down the middle. Rotating to the right as he blocks the saber he initiates an attack using his off hand saber.

His attack being similar to the one the jedi attempted earlier being a diagonal slash going from bicep to hip. His intention to either strike true or interrupt his gathering of the force that is now beginning to become a worry. While this was happening the main hand saber was beginning to crackle with electricity as if force lightning was being channeled into the saber.

The Pantoran was a bold one or perhaps foolish because not only did he leave his comrades and his temple behind, he sacrificed the high ground as he descended the stairs to meet the female dark sider. A few of his fingers adjusted the course of the vibroblade causing it to change and begin heading towards J’aver.

Serene’s arm was still outstretched and maintained a guiding hold of the vibroblade, superior to that of the winded Jedi’s two fingers. Still, this was not enough to keep it on its initial course but that was fine by her. The woman’s hand rotated as her grip on the weapon adjusted, adapting and causing it to move slightly more to the right, pulling the Champion’s flying weapon away from J’aver and towards a Hapan beside him in a melee of their own.

As Ferrin descended the steps Serene’s right hand, still clasping her unignited saberhilt, shot forth and would give the Pantoran Jedi a taste of his own medicine. The ground at the base of the stairs directly beneath and in front of Ferrin was covered in muck, blood and other debris in front of him would splash upwards into the Jedi’s face and entire front side, even reaching him further back up the stairs or to either side should he choose to try and evade. The wide range of the splash would make dodging it difficult but he knew this much already since this was the same as what the Jedi had done to the Sith moments ago. The execution of the offensive technique would be much stronger, more effective and far less desparate than Ferrin's had when he was gasping for air. If it was successful it would blind the man if not at least temporarily. It may halt his advance and even leave some injury to further weaken him.

If the lone blueish Jedi continued, the Sith would have plenty of time to react while he cleared his vision. The woman had increased her distance minimally by backflipping prior and had become stationary until now forcing the man to cross relatively open ground. The Pantoran defender of the light side was playing into her hands figuratively, though they were getting rather dirty literally.

Regardless of whether or not her blinding attempt was successful, Serene knew she had gained the man’s attention. She could see it in his shoulders, in the way the Jedi walked down the steps, he would keep coming for her. That was why, if Ferrin was blinded, or if he somehow managed to avoid the attack, Serene would let loose another burst of Sith lightning towards him from her left hand. There was a chance he could grab hold of her but in that event he would be electrocuted in the process.

Serene course corrects the vibroblade so that it avoids J'aver and hits a Hapan NPC. Serene splashes the ground at the base of the stairs as Ferrin reaches the bottom to blind/batter/interrupt him before hurling some lightening at him.

Even as he advanced down the temple stairs, Ferrin never took his eyes of Serene - carefully observing the Sith Champion the entire time. She had continuously opted to fight at a distance, and the Pantoran expected her to utilize yet another Force or elemental-based attack before he came into melee range. It was precisely why his own in the Force extended outwards, coiling around her left leg to pull her forward and interrupt her concentration.

A pull which Serene offered no resistance against.

Just as the Sith Champion began to manipulate the Vibroknife once again, she would feel the Force abruptly pull her leg out from under her - yanking her towards the Pantoran and closer to the temple stairs. Without any defense, it would be enough to plant Serene flat onto her back, interrupting her attempt to redirect the vibroblade, alongside the multitude of additional Force attacks she attempted to employ afterwards. The revenge blind and sparks of lightning were halted before they even began.

The Pantoran was a Padawan no longer - and the gaps within Serene’s defenses were quickly capitalized upon.

As a result of the Force Pull, the Vibroblade wouldn't be redirected to Dash - continuing right along to strike J'aiver instead. The weapon sailed through the air, grazing just close enough to slice deep into J'aiver's left flank along his ribcage. The razor edge made short work of any armor and the first few centimeters of flesh, eliciting a steady stream of blood that would soak down the Champipn's torso. Nevertheless, Ferrin felt the first tendrils of the Force that coiled around his neck for the second time - immediately drawing his attention towards the Sith. Where the fuck was Dash? Unlike the first time, Ferrin immediately drew the Force within himself to defend against the choke, tendrils of energy prying at his own neck to prevent any serious damage. In the extremely unlikely event that J’aiver was able to maintain concentration while being sliced in the ribs, Ferrin was prepared to defend himself accordingly.

Assuming the choke ended, Ferrin closed the rest of the distance to stop in melee range of Serene - flicking his lightsaber downward from right to left, attempting to slice clean through the Champion’s left leg. His lightsaber swept outward and crossed over the front of his body, refusing to leave his guard open to any desperation attacks that she unleashed upon him.

Daybreak’s arc clashed with the Sith’s saber just as they took hold in a reverse grip, immediately Leon deactivated Moonlight in his off hand.

Simultaneously, as the Sith rotated, Baudelaire lifted his index and middle finger from Moonlight’s pommel and unleashed his stored energy in a bolt of Electric Judgement point blank into his opponent's center mass. He sought to capitalize on his proximity by interrupting his enemy mid move, so as to disrupt their next attack.

As he discharged the electricity through his fingertips, Leon whipped Daybreak into a defensive position, to block, in case the Sith’s follow up diagonal attack still managed to come through.

Leon’s intent still remained true. He sought to end this engagement by incapacitating his opponent as quickly as possible, so he could help his friends. This was the only other way he could imagine winning without mortally wounding The Sith.

Dash stared down the Sith towards the bottom of the steps, their shadowy form retreating from the advancing ice. The Rhinnalian's clenched fist grew white hot and too late he realised he had lent too hard on his power. He made himself stop, panting hard, the slick icy slope that had been the stone steps glistening below him.

Fighting this Sith had pushed him towards his limits. It shouted up to him, issuing a threat while seemingly trying to grasp for Ferrin. Dash did not have the strength to go toe to toe with it again. The realisation made him feel sick.

Something faint twinged at the edge of Dash's senses, even tired as he was. Peering down, he felt an echo or afterglow of his earlier attack hanging around the Sith, sapping its strength. The creature had made no attempt to counter his chill it seemed and the aftereffects were even now working to bring it down. Combined with its other injuries, they would likely be enough to stymie whatever it was trying now and take it out of the fight.

Dash rose blade up, stepping shakily to his left and slashing diagonally to sever three ornate stone crenellations from the temple exterior. The lightsaber blade cleft through the worn stone easily and the three spiked cylinders fell and slid mercilessly down the icy slope towards the Sith, each the size of a large man's leg. They hurtled with great speed across the wet ice and Dash managed to give them the faintest push with the Force in the Sith's general direction, but he could do no more.

Keeping his blade up and stepping back slightly from the ledge for cover, he watched and hoped one thing or another would send his foe into retreat. If it did, then he would try to find his way to the evac point. If he stayed any longer in his current state, he was going to get himself or his friends killed.

The pathetic worm of a Pantoran had slipped the noose that J’aver had set for him. A stray blade or slug round had slipped their notice and not only punctured their armor but left a grazing wound across already damaged ribs. This new pain caused their concentration to falter and slip.

Despite this, J’aver’s attention never swayed from their target, they watch as the blonde Jedi rose to their feet and staggered. The Dark Sider watched as the Jedi slashed a trio of crenellations, the stone structures slid down towards them. Calmly, J’aver called upon the Dark Side, quickly holstered their lightsaber, and brought their arms across their chest. With a defiant scream of rage, they swung their arms horizontally before them. A wave of destructive telekinetic energy pulsed from them. The centermost crenellation was utterly sundered with a resounding explosion. The leftmost crenellation would be sent careening away from them and sent on a crash course towards with the Pantoran (@Altaris) and the female Sith (@Darasuum). The rightmost crenellation was similarly smashed off course but sent bouncing across the semi-frozen steps and towards the pair if dual wielders (@Zay) (@Javier esschoolbus). Beyond the deflection, neither stone slabs were directly controlled J’aver, they would be a threat to both sets of duelists equally and require their attention to evade.

J’aver was confident despite their wounded state that they could aid their allies in destroying these Jedi defenders. They hadn’t unleashed too much of their stored might and turned to call destruction down upon their enemies…then as they turned around their injured leg gave and collapsed. As their mind cleared, J’aver noticed something that they had missed until that moment. A metaphorical “leak” on the stores of energy that should have been vast and easily drawn upon. Shocked and overwhelmed, they sank to a single knee and came to a sickening conclusion, they only had enough for a singular power.

They unleashed as a final vice-grip around the throat of the Jedi to their right (@Zay). It would likely come in shortly after any attempt to evade the stone slab that had been sent his way. They poured their entire being into closing off their windpipe, the Force Choke would persist for as long as J’aver could maintain it. As consciousness slowly left them, their power too would wane, eventually faltering entirely. And with that J’aver embraced the darkness of unconsciousness.

Before Serene could alter her vibroblade’s course any further, she was pulled towards the Temple stairs by her left leg. Serene fell on her back after her left leg was pulled out from under her. Thankfully her armor saved her from seeing stars for the next few moments though it was still jarring. The woman’s dirty figure had stopped after ten meters and the Sith tried to stand from her position as quickly as possible.

The man was still winded from being choked earlier and Serene witnessed him struggle momentarily against J’aver’s strangulation attempt as she rose to her feet. Ferrin still had to cross the same distance to meet Serene before he would be close enough to strike her which would give her enough time to recover. The Champion stood up by the time Ferrin could make it to the base of the stairs at his sure-footed but steady pace. Serene's drawn saber hilt reactivated in her right hand.

Before either of them came within striking range of another, the Sith was able to see the make-shift missiles created by the blonde Jedi and the subsequent defensive efforts of J’aver in the wake of his recent injury. With considerate effort, the Champion avoided the flying crenellations by focusing the force into her legs and summoning the power to leap back to avoid the rubble heading for her and Ferrin. This would double to avoid Ferrin's strike towards Serene's legs and gain distance from the man. The stone piece of structure would fly through the space where she once was but avoid harming the Sith since she was no longer there. The same could be said for the Knight's sword as it would pass harmlessly through the air and avoid cutting Serene entirely.

Trael had expected many things other than being hit by lightning. A force push or pull maybe even ice but an electrical discharge wasn’t one of them. The sith couldn’t help but take the attack head on stopping his attack in its tracks and stunning him. Sent tumbling backwards a few feet due to the power of the charged lightning. The jedi's lack of a follow up allowed him the time to get back on his feet though. The attack would leave his mark though the sith seeming to be a bit more sluggish now.

Expecting the jedi to do a follow up attack he dashes backwards 5 feet using the force mostly to give him space incase of the jedi dashing forward again. This allowing him to notice the crenellation heading towards his previous location. Using the force to make sure it headed to the jedi he's been dueling(@Zay). After manipulating the crenellation he would use the distraction caused by the crenellation. Putting his sabers away back onto his hip he would use his now empty hands to fire a burst of force lighting from both hands. Though doing this would sap his strength more than normal especially since he took the lighting attack from the jedi. Afterwards he would return to using his sabers raising one high and one low to defend if he isn't interrupted his battle starting to wear on him.
