"Interesting.." Tyr's head was down, reading the datapad as he walked along.

He was baffled at first, but something about reciting the phrase in his mind calmed him.

"Are there many offworlders who try to break the peace the Jedi try to make?"

"Yes." This was all he had to say. He grimly remembered a number of evils that existed. But this was not a subject matter for the time being, "But that is another subject for another time."

"Okay.."

Tyr felt dejected, but willing to continue his current course. He had nowhere else to turn to.

"Where are we going?"

"The Council?"

Tyr brought his head up from reading the datapad, and ran to catch up.

"Guess I'll have to learn fast."

"You will have plenty of time. For example, you refer to any JEdi of higher rank as 'Master'. It is a sign of respect. When you speak to a master, be respectful at all times, they are truly wise and powerful and have earned the respect. I'm sure you can figure out enough about procedures just from that."

"Will do, Master."

His head perked up for a moment. He heard a new sound, and heard movement in a nearby clearing.

"I think I hear the next refugee camp, are we gonna stop there?"

Lirinid smiled, he didn't know much about human hearing, but he'd only just confirmed that his was superior.

"This next camp is the main one. I have a place here that I have already prepared for you. This is where we will spend some time together before the Council meeting."

The two made their way through the remaining brush and entered into the camp, it was mostly the same in organization and structure as the first one. It was larger and more solidified however. Tyr was awestruck by the numbers of the people.

"Why so many...? Master, what was the goal of the offworlders, who did these things to the people?"

OCC: "I speak Spanish to God, Italian to women, French to men and German to my horse." (-Charles V)
Charles V might have known Italian but I don't. Translation please?

As they entered the field, Lirinind noted the child's reaction to the realization that those around him were not the only ones to suffer.

"There are those who are not aware of the effects of their actions. This is one of the most common results of such actions."

"We're here to stop them from being harmed again then?"

Tyr's eyes continued to peer through the crowds, everyone seemed so emotionless, exhausted. He stopped gawking, and returned to his Master.

"I want to begin to train, to be ready to meet the council."

"We are here to see them safely out of this place. We keep the peace and help where we can. It can be boring, but we have time to give you some basic lessons."

Lirinid stopped at a white sheeted tent and opened the entrance flap. He pulled it to the side and invited the boy in. After they were both inside Lirinid placed his things on a cot that was clearly his, across from it was another cot, clearly Tyr's. Also in the room were two mats, rolled up and tucked under the cots. Clearly they had been well prepared for a second Jedi.

"We stay here for the next few days."

Tyr ducked his head into the tent and peered inside for a moment, and walked in taking a seat on the unoccupied cot, dropping his bag to the side.

"Where are we going to take them?" Tyr pondered, he knew that planet was vast but never had the education nor the time to really think how large the world was.

"They will be input into more permanent programs that will try to get them back to normal lives. Now, grab that mat from under your cot, your first real lesson begins now."

Lirinid grabbed his own mat and unrolled it. Then he knelt on it in the manner he hoped Tyr would imitate. He then removed his hood, in the dim light his entirely hairless head could be seen, almost shimmering. His eyes were closed and his hands firmly planted in his knees. He took a deep breath and held it for a moment, then he exhaled.

"The most basic of all things you much know is this:"

"Emotion, yet peace
Ignorance, yet knowledge
Passion, yet serenity
Chaos, yet harmony
Death, yet the force."

"First. Emotions: Joy, love, fear, anger, remorse, excitement. No emotion is evil, or bad inherently; but as a Jedi you must learn to control your emotions. If you can not do this, it can cloud your judgement and reason, a Jedi cannot allow himself to do that. You must be above emotion, then you can find the inner calm. Yet Peace."

Tyr watched the Jedi's movements, everything seemed so precise, rehearsed. He knelt down to unroll the mat, placed it, and knelt on it. Mimicking every movement as best as he could, he closed his eyes and clasped his hands in his lap, and recited the code.

Again he felt the constant knot in his stomach fade, the twinge that something was trying to communicate with his mind became more silent.

"I feel.. better, when I'm like this.."

Lirinid again was pleased with the boys reaction. He didn't show it this time, but he realized he was beginning to like the boy.

"Second. Ignorance: There are many many things that we do not know, or will ever know, but you should never be content with ignorance. Never pass up an opportunity to better yourself. Those willing to learn will receive their just rewards for their work. Also, do not forget that you are not all knowing- nor will you ever be. There is always much to learn. We know little, yet knowledge."

Tyr opened his eye, and turned his head toward the master.

"I understand, never pass up a learning opportunity."
