*Unmasked rank means that you were once a member but have been since expelled. Your face is made known to all members and you are open game, your kill resulting in a reward or possible promotion.

Master Assassin's and Council members will train initiates and occationally take on assassins with them on harder missions. Arch Ghoul holds rank over the council and is the final say on matters of dispute. Assassins will be given special tasks from time to time to test their skill and one final task in order to be promoted to Master Assassin.))

because your character is a traitor to a different organization thus Aros wouldn't give you to much command over others right off the bat. It's got to do more with trust than skill in your case.
