Kaldar threw back another shot and at first it was all good. The added little buzz wasn't so bad, but then something else started happening. His skin began to crawl and felt like it was aflame. Somehow he knew what was happening.

Oh kriff, this isn't supposed to happen to me, he said. Sure, he'd met plenty of the Exalted before, and he had seen the utter devastation that they could unleash, but that wasn't what he had wanted. It wasn't what he had signed up for.

Had Raze infected him in secret? Would he lose his own mind now? Would he... be able to unleash that destructive capability?

He looked down at his arms as they began to twist and warp into an unnatural shape of monstrosities, tipped in razor-like blades.

What the kriff! he cried out, and for all intents and purposes, no one else was in the bar anymore. And then he felt that power flowing through his veins. He felt strength in his limbs that he'd never known before... maybe... maybe this wasn't so bad?

Nash’s smile faded rapidly after that shot. She began to feel queasy, sweating and becoming flustered. She thought she would vomit right there, but things turned far worse. Her heart began to beat rapidly, and her pupils dilated. Before she realized it, she began to growl softly, saliva pooling as she bared her teeth. Because she posed as a twi’lek male for so long, she filed her teeth into sharp points as was tradition.

An appropriate song began to play during her transformation as she threw her head back and gave a long, loud howl. She snapped her head back down, moving unnaturally as she growled and got tunnel vision. Nash looked around and saw a figure (@Fine Dining Set ) standing prominently as her perfect meal and she charged right at him with full speed.

Nash would leap on him to chomp down on his arm with full force.

So there was the pheromone replacement. All around Nefid rang out flavors of confusion, from betrayal to anger and out-of-body experiences. She almost reached out to feel it. But something stopped her. Subtle. Disconcerting. An echo of the familiar.

It is deafening, she answered the Mirialan who hadn’t been talking to her—or anyone. And you missed the worst of it. They numb their minds and call it passion. You’re different.

When she’d narrowed it down to him, Novin would see a pale, dark-haired Zabrak walk up to him, lean at the bar next to him.

What’s your name?

So a new Champion was getting promoted. Always a good cause for a celebration. While everyone made their toasts and said their pieces Novin raised the glass of tequila he had ordered himself. That was until the pureblood bumped into him holding Mandalorian in tow. Novin shifted against the bar quietly. The pale zabrak came as the voice entered his mind. It wasn't his voice, and an ember of excitement burned to life within him.

He set the tequila down and closed his eyes, following the thread of telepathic power in the Force. They're excitement is... palpable. Novin said through the thread, opening his eyes again. He wasn't good enough to pin point who was talking to him, but he could hold onto the thread and talk back. Novin Krio. Yours?

It was starting to get much too cramped at the bar for Novin's liking. He pushed himself off, taking what was left of his drink that he had ordered himself and found a comfortable spot along the wall that no one was around. Oversving the party was far more entertaining for him than being in it. The noises, thoughts, and feelings they all released in the Force without care. His eyes closed, watching and listening to everything in the Force.

Anai raised an eyebrow as Vossari sprung his trap, simply looking back at the now crowned champion and giving him a smile "Figured this was the case" The Kaleesh admitted. Of course she did, she had seen him disappear instead of simply ordering those shots, and they had had very strange colours "But I do not feel like much has changed, not-" Anai stopped herself for a moment, squinting her eyes as she looked at a new figure that emerged, a new "person" that had picked her interest.

"When did you get here?" The Kaleesh talked to her new conversation partner, however, everyone else would see her talking to...No one in particular. The really perceptive sith, however, would notice that her eyes were oddly focused on her own shadow "Oh, of course you came with me, that makes sense" Anai replied to something unsaid "So far so good." She kept going, pausing a few seconds inbetween each time she opened her mouth, she was having a conversation with no one in particular.

"You know, you've been with me since the start, and I do thank you for that" Anai said with a smile as she leaned back on the bar counter "Although...I am scared, you do know everything, there's nothing I can hide from you." Another few seconds passed, her relaxed expression turning into one of shock "What do you think you're doing saying that out loud!?" Anai reprimanded her own shadow, anger in her voice before listening for a few more seconds and then looking around, hoping no one had been listening in "...Maybe you know too much" And with that said, Anai kneeled on the floor and proceeded to try and strangle her own shadow, it was a work in process.

Happily accepting the drink, the bottom of the glass revealed itself in a flash. Though at first there was a strange flavour he couldn't quite place, perhaps a new liqueur he'd yet to sample or the like. Juin simply nodded as the red boi offered an explanation. Although he hadn't had the opportunity to spend time with the newly minted champion, the half-mirialan expected the wrean to take to his new responsibilities like a duck to water.

What was there to life but enjoyment of success, to drink to your peers and their achievements. A flagrant display of power and time investment. Juin understood such a feeling, having stood upon a podium many times in recent years, basking in the success of everything you had worked so hard for.

Suddenly, a door burst open and it wasn't what you might expect.

"Ah quack." expressed the half-mirialan, his nightmare coming true. While others might have seen a cute parade of ducks and their bebes forming a queue to meet their beloved bread giver, he saw their true form.

"It's the po-po!" He yelled, suddenly diving over and behind the bar.

These new guys were fun. Roman could tell Nash was a box of fireworks, just from the way she threw back her shot. ‘Master’ Kaldar also claimed to be trouble. There was something that did not add up about him that made Roman think it might just be true.

Caerllion was by his side and bought into the shots. There were even a couple of Purebloods swimming around. Both were pretty hulking figures, but one of them actually drifted over and joined in, raising a toast. Trodai they said. Roman wondered if the guy knew his Master, the redskins almost seemed an elite clique within the Sith.

Friends old and new“ he nodded, studying the Pureblood’s hulking figure. They all seemed larger than life. There was another one in the background that seemed larger than the planet itself.

A young dark-skinned man called out to the room not long later and Roman listened intently. Vossari Khaldun was his name apparently and the acolyte had some time for his talk of a new generation. Roman was certainly in need of a new group to belong to and the promise was attractive.

The somewhat promotional ceremony that followed was interesting. The Empire would never have elevated people in a busy nightclub, but Roman was fast learning that the Sith did things quite differently. He did not know Vossari, but clearly he was a rising star to follow.

More shots followed the announcement, issued apparently with Azar’s regards. Roman had been slightly concerned about the motives of Caerllion and the other Sith he had met, but the mention of his master assuaged him. Besides, everyone was drinking the same stuff. He was probably being silly.

He thew back the shot and within moments regretted it. A queasy feeling rippled through him and within moments his blood seemed to boil. The Force surged in him beyond his ability to control, to the extent his entire body caught fire for a second, shredding his attire before he threw it off. It was over in moments, but Roman was left scrabbling for some scraps to cover his modesty.

What the actual…

Veltharion had been enjoying his fruit juices so far, the bright red orbs floating in the glass absorbing the shiny pink liquid and giving it a burning tang that warmed his tongue and all the way down to his stomachs. This new drink from Braidz on the other hand did not taste so good and the pleasantly warm haze that had been building after his fourth juice was suddenly uncomfortably hot. Fanning himself, the Barabel ordered another juice and drained it before a commotion at the door caught his attention.

A small army of small feathered birds were converging on the club, quacking and honking as they waddled past the befuddled bouncer and rushed toward the bar. Standing up from his seat and swaying wildly for some strange reason, Veltharion coiled his tail beneath him and sat down, opening his arms as a veritable tidal wave of baby ducklings jumped and leapt over him. He marveled at them, brushing his fingers over soft downy feathers and lifted one up into the air so that it was eye-level, quacking happily on the palm of his hand.

Before anyone would be able to react the Barabel opened his maw wide, fangs shining in the flashing lights of the club, and tossed the duckling in whole. The startled quacks were suddenly silenced as the Barabel quickly chewed and then swallowed with a satisfied sigh.

"This one did not realize they had fresh bird on the menu! It iz missing something though... maybe catch-up?"

So while Arak and Freyja were busy continuing their game and right after the pureblood was about to lead her away, the music stopped and it was Karys' voice that suddenly beamed through the room, announcing that Vossari, his acolyte was no longer an acolyte.

Even with her slight buzz and even if her mind had formerly been focused on something different, her eyes widened in excitement as she followed Azar to Voss, a happy smirk spreading across her lips. "Duuuude, congrats!!", he had been a pain in the ass on Dromund Kass every now and then, but he had absolutely deserved it. (@Fine Dining Set)

It was a shame Azar wasn't here to also celebrate this success. Until then, she didn't even know that Azar was in fact much more present then she could have assumed, but the moment she threw back the free shot Vossari had formerly distributed so kindly.

The moment the liquid ran down her tongue she already knew that something was off and her pupils immediately dilated in shock after her last potion adventure with Azar hadn't gone so well. Dreading the return of puppy-Freyja, the ashen haired acolyte stepped back slowly.

Her mind jumped back to Arak, who, however, suddenly seemed busy with his own struggle, which left her to herself for a moment- or well, not fully to herself. "At least you're still with me, huh", she told her loyal followers, throwing it a smirk. "You think so?", the ones around her would hear her say, as she incredulously raised a brow.

"No?!", a hint of annoyance flashed through her features as she stared her invisible shadow, glad on the one hand, that she wasn't chasing fox boys on all fours this time, but frustrated with her conversational partner already as they became increasingly more audacious. "Bitch, what?!", no...this was slowly going to far and while she had avoided drama earlier, this here was getting out of hand.

"Yeah I know! You hate water, don't you? What are you going to do then, hm? No, I'll do it, trust me!", determined, she headed for the bar, first walking slowly, then beginning to run right after as she was simply closely followed. "I SAID I'D DO IT", she warned her invisible shadow again as she hopped over the counter, squeezed herself fast a confused bartender and headed for the sink, where she frantically grabbed the pull-out spray head and tried to target her rude follower.

"Oh stop crying now!", she rolled her eyes before a soaked bartender lady stared at her in complete bewilderment. "They don't pay me enough for this night", she muttered desperately before she snatched the spray head, re-attached it to the sink and shooed Freyja out from behind the counter, scowling vehemently.

Serene's time in the bathroom was brief and she only needed to clean her hands. But the party girl in her checked her reflection in the mirror and checked to make sure she had no tell-tale signs of sleeping with Juin moments ago. The muffled voice of someone shouting free drinks was barely audible but caused the woman to giggle and shake her head. Satisfied with her appearance, she took a picture and would leave the freshers and head towards the bar but be diverted by the promotion of Kaldar's apprentice.

From the back row she gave a round of applause to congratulate the freshly risen Champion. Plenty of others were cheering and closer to the young man and Serene was in no rush. Her eyes slid towards Juin who had made his way out of the backroom and back into the main area. But her gaze moved on with indifference quickly changing to curiousity at another emerald hued near-human. Maybe she would invite both of them to the backroom next.

"Azar sends his regards!"

Serene could not think of anymore seductive schemes as instead registered what Champion Khaldun had done. A mischievous smile began to creep along her face at the corners of her mouth. Her eyes darted from each person trying to remember who had just recently thrown one back. "Oh kark this is bloody awesome. Now I REALLY need to say "congratulations" to him". Meanwhile her mental guard raised along with the thrill of danger that followed.

Some of the Sith partygoers did not seem to have a positive effect. Vicious for one seemed to be surging with energy meanwhile the muscular crimson twi'lek leapt upon Vossari. Serene was not going anywhere near that. Meanwhile people were dealing with hallucinations and their own shadows it seemed. However one being stood out brightly as their clothes burned off of them. Brilliant

Serene made her away around the edge of the club towards where she saw a stranger. This man was also a mirialan judging by his facial tattoos. Juin seemed preoccupied and the youth did not seem like to type to care, not that it made a difference to Serene. She had already made up her mind and was going to see what this stranger was about before anything else. Meanwhile everyone else would get to succumb to their drinks and be an entertaining show at least.

The sorceress was interrupted by a surprise horde of ducklings. "This night just keeps getting better and better." She could not hold back a genuine giggle. The situation was utterly ridiculous. The baby ducks did not stop her from sizing her next potential lover. "Do you prefer talking, listening or silence?" (@TheDudeMike )

When Novin didn’t fall for it, the Zabrak vanished like the image it was. Instead came a sense of pride swelling within the acolyte, Nefid’s way to tell him job well done. She stayed within the cover of the crowd, however, slightly disappointed he hadn’t yet made the connection. Couldn’t he feel it?

Focus. Can you see what they see? She ignored his question. He was reaching out with the Force and several potion-induced hallucinations were giving him a wide selection. Surely something, or someone, would speak to him more than the rest, and Nefid was curious to see what.

That was, before Serene again made her entrance. As untrustworthy as ever, and apparently tonight’s flavor of ‘up to no good’ had to do with eighteen-year-old green boys. The first hadn’t heeded her warning. But Nefid trusted this one.

Thinking, she answered her question in Novin’s mind. Her shapeless voice couldn’t express contempt, but one could deduce it was there. A wonder she didn’t mention it.

Novin felt the swell of pride, and knew that it wasn't his own, but the pale zabrak was gone from the bar. His mental pen-pal was a powerful Force user indeed, and one that was adept in the arts of mental illusion and trickery, just as he aspired to be. Now the pride was his. He'd caught the eye of someone he could look up to. Her ignoring his question of who she was brushed to the side to make room for his pride, Novin closed his eyes, but still looked about the room with the Force.

Their thoughts and feelings were so loud, it was hard to pin-point each individual. Some thought they were beasts, others thought their shadows were doppelgangers. Hallucinations abound, uncontrolled, and chaotic. Glimpses. Many have guards up. He opened his eyes, his face naturally aligning through the will of the Force to his mental pen-pal. A pale twi'lek in the crowd. The corner of his lips curved upwards into a smirk, but he was interrupted.

The woman had an aura of lust around her, even with her mental walls blocking her thoughts. Novin hadn't witnessed such a sight before, and decided to study her. How her face moved when she talked, how her brows lifted and fell with intention. It was an enticing look, if ever Novin had seen one. He would save this information for later. Seducing wasn't something he thought about a lot, but it was now certainly on his list of mental tricks to play.

His mental pen-pal chimed in, and she was right. Novin knew the Sith in front of him was looking for a little bit more of a concrete answer to her questions. The Acolyte that had come out of the same back room area she had didn't bother to put his walls up. He knew exactly what had transpired. "Which ever allows me to think and observe the best," Novin said audibly, turning his gaze from the pale twi'lek in the crowd to the lustful woman. If only I knew how to create hallucinations, I could acquire her every secret by the end of the night. The thoughts were to his mental pen-pal, and guarded.

Arak had knocked back his shot as the rest of the crowd did. It seemed they were gathered for the promotion of Braids. He was about to congratulate him aloud but he then noticed him pouring out his shot. Who is the Azar and what are regards?

Suddenly he could feel his body acting weird. Poisoned by a squadmate? That was the last coherent thought he would have. A chilling reminder of what being Sith truly was. His vision ran red as he began looking for a target of his rage. He spotted a large individual began to eat one of his pups. He let out a chilling howl.

He charged the culprit (@Rom) aiming to chomp it at the shoulder and take it to the ground. Trying to prevent it taking and eating another of his litter.

Oh poor feifi, as soon as the purebloods hand touched their back, feifi instinctively felt it tense, the poor girl was too flustered to get a word in, but who was she to deny free shots?..

A simple

"uhm-okay"

was all she could get out, as she was led, before looking at the interaction that was going on right now, what the hell, why was this one shouting like an animal?.. Oh no, not another incident at a party.. why was it that every party she attended, SOMEONE sparked chaos?..

Vossari's brilliant plan immediately backfired, as chaos erupted across the bar. Some howled at the moon, convinced they were slowly transforming into werewolves. Others argued with their own shadows. One, it seemed, caught on fire? Why would anyone make a potion like that?

Vossari didn't have long to consider it, before he was tackled to the ground by Nash. Vossari instinctively covered his thumbless hand, a reaction to prevent himself from losing more digits in the exchange. "SMASH, WAIT, CHILL OUT!" He flailed ineffectively as Nash pinned him down. Damn, was she always this strong? It took all his effort to thrive and wrest her surprisingly sharp teeth out of his arm.

Almost as soon as he was done, though, a stampede of ducks flooded into the club. While they seemed to have obvious alphas in the group, it meant that the rest of the bar patrons were vulnerable to be trampled by ducks. Vossari and Nash were two such people, as quacking cuties flooded all over them.

Fuck, this plan was backfiring. He tried to slide away from Nash as he thought through a way to recover the party, now that the funny part of the prank was over and the terrifying park had begun. From the corner of his eye, he saw a look on Kaldar's face that terrified him. What would Azar do?

He thought back to past parties. Azar would make acolytes drink random potions there, too. The only difference was...Azar always brought an antidote. Vossari had done no such task. He had only "acquired" enough potion to spike as many Sith as possible in one fell swoop. Everything that happened now was beyond his carefully laid out plans.

To escape Nash, though, Vossari needed a distraction. He hoped to present something to her that he knew she hated more than anything in this galaxy: basic bitches. Voss grabbed a chic brunette from the dance floor by the ankle, offering her to Nash to appease her. "Nash, look - don't you wanna smash her face in?" He said, with the same tone someone speaks in when they jangle keys in front of a baby. He only hoped she took the bait.

Trodai was still speaking in limericks when he saw the horde of ducklings descend upon the bar. And all hell loose as the others reactions to the potions took hold. Nash turning werewolf attacking Vossari, Kaldar he wasn't sure, Veltharion eat a duckling while Freyja fought shadows. Anai appeared to be doing the same but trying strangle her shadow.

Freyja dived over the bar with the young green man.

And then it got worse as a human caught fire, burning his clothes off, forcing Trodai to move away. He couldn't help but at least admire the muscular physique and toned body of the man. He was definitely no Trael. As he observed, Trodai took his chance while Vossari was distracted for some friendly payback. Scooping up two ducks as Nash bit his arm, and grabbed a screaming basic bitch to sacrifice, he used the force to launch them like arrows. They wouldn't kill Vossari or maim him but they would hit and flap about, giving him a mouth full of feathers possibly if he wasn't quick enough.

After launching he gave him a wicked smile as if to say my turn in the prank war.

Veltharion was eying the ducklings speculatively, trying to decide if it would be worthwile to request a sauce from the bartender when Arak gave a howl and leapt toward him. Smiling wildly, Veltharion caught the scrawny Pureblood midair and pulled him into a tight hug, clapping him across the back. He did not feel when his teeth closed on his neck scales but he did hear the sound of something shattering but paid it no mind. "Professor! This one would be happy to share the ducklingz with you if you were hungry, but what iz all this growling and howling business? You are not Nash Smash, and there iz only room for two feral onez in this squad - you're supposed to be the brainz of the operation."

Patting the pureblood again, still holding him close against his chest, the Barabel acolyte watched as Nash leapt on Braidz and bit into his arm while General Trodai launched a duckling through the air, "Now see, this one expectz that. Nash Smash can make even this one look civilized. Don't be like us Professor, we need you to be the smart one or this one will have to take the role and we both know that will not end well." Lifting a clawed hand, Vel waved at the bartender and said, "May this one have two more of the pink juicez?"

Gazing at Novin, Serene knew that the only similarity between him and Juin was the tone of their skin. The hybrid and the pureblood mirialan were two different people. The acolyte beside her was of a different demeanor and she expected would make for an entirely different experience.

The woman was hungry for more excitement and stimulation but her caution tempered her lust. The reserved actions and minimal response was in contrast to the jovial happy-go-lucky mannerisms of her earlier companion. But he seemed distracted or maybe just a bit hesitant. She could not blame him considering how good she looked.

She accepted his answer with a smile, followed by looking him up and down. She saw some of herself in the teenager, though perhaps not as refined. Then again Serene knew better than anyone that appearances could be deceiving. "I bet you are a real emotional lover. You like to get all snuggly and talkative after a bang." Her tone was clearly sarcastic and meant to tease Novin's stoic expression.

To his credit, the acolyte wasn’t far offf—from what she could glimpse of his readings of others’ minds by peering into his own. It was several layers, but to Nefid it was like breathing. Feeling. He’d definitely caught her attention.

Why can’t you? Imagine it. Make it real, she answered the second part of his comment. She didn’t warn him like she warned the other. This was more interesting, and he could prove himself worthy. If he fell for her too… perhaps she’d misjudged him. Serene’s comment would have Nefid rolling her eyes if she’d learned what it meant, but so far the witch led one to none. When it came to teenage boys it seemed her approach beat any complex scheme Nefid could muster.

What do you need?

I need to become stronger, that's what I need. Even if he was facing down a Champion, and another Champion was offering to help, Novin was not about to allow weakness into his mind. It was his own failure, his own weakness that made him incapable of making a person sized hallucination. He could do small objects, but not an entire being, especially himself. And to play his own mannerisms? That was a feat he aspired for.

"I don't do sloppy seconds," Novin said bluntly, the smirk still on his face. I will make it real when she is focused on a different green than me. Novin kept his eyes on the lustful woman in front of him, until he caught sight of the other green Acolyte. His brown eyes shifted towards the Acolyte, then back to the lustful woman, proving his point. His thoughts were loud, his feelings clear. His intrigue of the mindful Sith in the crowd would have to take a backseat to the ever present danger of telling a grown Sith Champion "no."
