This was sent to me by Nor'baal, who requested that I introduce him by saying that Nor'baal (the illustrious one) is to thank for this.
I think that's a good way of framing the battle mod position. What do other people think?
Profile submissions mod is basically the same as Kiro - so no suggestions there from me.
Battlemods - I think they should follow a framework when they make rulings on threads:
- Viability of Action: Is the action physically possible?
- Character of Action: Does the character have reasonable cause to execute the action?
- Fairness of Action: Is it deliberately dereailing the story to do this action, does it bring anything to this story?
Fundamentally, a battlemod should, in my view, act within the spirit of the overall story that is trying to be reached in the thread. If the thread was started as a passive meeting in a bar, is it reasonable that Player Steve drops a bomb on the bar just to kill Player Emma?
They post a ruling when required, and each member of the thread then has 24 hours to respond to that ruling, before a final one is made.
