Got it. I'll admit and accept that. I misread the situation. However, it does not appear that I'm the only one that misread the situation, and that seems to include our leadership. If we were all, or even mostly, under the wrong impression, then perhaps this miscommunication is something that should be looked at and fixed in similar situations down the line.

I can look into that, but even your faction's leaders said to keep RPing, so I'm not sure what specifically prompted the miscommunication. I won't look into it tonight, but I definitely will for any future situation like this.

To be fair, I can understand how those posts may have been interpreted by some to indicate that members should RP, but do nothing faction-progressive until further notice. I personally see it the way Bac portrays it, but I understand your point of view.

Fact of the matter is, Mando's have a week to get stuff together in a rally of defense (probably won't be much resistance, considering the difference in forces and and surrounding borders) or get outta Dodge. It was only a matter of time until the Sith attacked the Mandolorians to begin with, since they haven't even had a major conflict this entire timeline, to my knowledge.

The 'Think Tank' is a waste of time in my opinion. It sounds like a bunch of people putting up a thread and spamming 'ideas' to look active, when all you're really doing is bouncing things off the walls and not really doing anything. Less thinking, more action. A LOT of the tasks at hand are basic procedures and protocol which the faction should be taking. Anyone with a character in a position of power can start making preparations, even it just means rallying military troops to headquarters positions and enforcing high security. Evacuations of civilians and drafting of citizen for necessary roles in the military would be a good start too. I gave many more examples of immediate actions in this thread (Linked to the page with the relevant post).

While yes, it may seem like the Sith are dominating, is because they have been dominating. This is the chance for the other side to put together enough resistance to start making a comeback, or the Imperium is going to continue stomping on through. So far, DeathToll has really stepped up in preparing IC training and activity among Jedi players, with class signups/missions and a Hell Week.

EDIT: (Forgot a line)
It might be good to incorporate more plans with him and solidify the alliance between the factions in joint operations for whatever plans you make.

I'll be taking this into heavy consideration. No matter what anyone says, this is only a delay caused by the Sith. With the Jedi Council now re-assebled, I will be talking to them about the Alliance.

The think tank has been unreasonably slow, and that's on all of us who are part of it. However, it was the failure of the timeline creating think tank to not define the Mandalorians better. The faction itself was proving unable to move past the stand still of whose view of Mandalorians was the best, so we stepped in. It should've been over much quicker, but it wasn't.

We have just completed write ups and they will be posted within the next day or two, pending review.

Fair enough. Really though, I don't know much about it, just what I've heard in mention in other discussion threads on the topic. I didn't mean any offense at the committee for it, btw, if anyone took it that way, but I calls it how I sees it :D

I am glad to see responses from the FLs/assistants/admins acknowledging the topics and showing that they are indeed still active.

We only have a week. While a formal alliance would be nice, we have immediate concerns regarding our own planets and people.

I know, but once we are out of Mando space, guess where the Sith will be going next? We're going to have to relocate. Anyone who decides to stay is more then welcome to stay, but I guarentee it won't end well for them.

Staying is seriously suicidal. We already have Mandos cut off. I strongly, strongly recommend heeding this warning.

I'd be stupid to not heed it. I'm already planning on the next step as I type this.

Well, we've already got a thread for planning going on. Lets take the discussion there and adapt things.

Since I'll probably only be active for the next week and a half, I'd be interested in getting involved with the resistance/evacuation as my Jedi if possible. He still has a Mando derived last name if that helps.

We'd definitely lose in the end, the question is would the Sith have enough troops left to fight the GA? Mando "civilians" consist of three types of people; The very young, meaning about 13 and under, anyone older than that can fight. The women who care for them, which are not necessarily incapable of fighting either. Those old enough that their bodies no longer possess the physical capability to work a trigger or command station. Everyone else is a professional soldier with training equivalent to most Armies special forces.

We don't have numbers, but we don't need them to cripple the Sith Army. That said, I don't think burning in place is the route we'll take...

Uh, just to remind you, we're Sith. We have no problem just bombing the hell out of said thirteen-year-olds and their mothers.

Neither do we. And we also have no problem defending to the last man. It would be a meat grinder.

But those civilian types are a miniscule percentage of our population. The rest would be fighting, and fighting is what the Mandalorians have done best for thousands of years. Even after we all were dead- you'd have your armies nearly broken, and you'd inherit the scorched and ruined remains of the planets we fought over. Nobody would win.

We don't give shit up easy like the GA does

We really don't care if the planets are nothing but rock and dust in the end. lol All we want is for you to get out.

Question, Xeno. Well, two actualy.

1. Is that statement IC or OOC?

2. Are you refering to Sith Space alone or that and Mando space?

Come on, bro. The Imperium has a galaxy-spanning military of trillions of ships and troops that pack more firepower than the Mandalorians could take. Don't even kid yourself, even on Mando's best day, they wouldn't stand a chance in a frozen-over hellhole.

And even applying that variable is against how roleplaying works. The only considered factors are the designated troops, otherwise people could just say outta their asses that their whole population was their military.

In the end, getting right down to it, when the fighting starts (and trust me, there is no "honorable" fighting with the Empire; we blow whole planets to hell) it's just flat-out unrealistic to conscript random civvies and send them off to battle and expect them to make any difference or impact on the end result.

Seriously, all that'd be doing is creating even more pointless causalities. Empire would never exhaust even a fraction of it's resources taking you out.

1: It's out of context, that's why I provided a literal date. The passing of time in context is extremely relative and variable; you can cover days or weeks in a single IC thread, just for example.

2: All of it, Sith space and Mando space (which is being taken over by the Sith). Simply put, if it's red, stay out. If it's green, get out.

While the Empire is certainly stronger than the Mandalorians, I'd imagine that the Mandalorians aren't hopelessly outnumbered. After all, they are a main faction and that should count for something in surviving a Sith onslaught. Sure it's unlikely that they would survive if they stood their ground but it should take a substantial chunk of resources to blast the planets to smithereens.
