"Very good Alienor." he smiled. "This is indication that this is the cave where the kyber crystals are at." Harald would then ponder "I think after today, once we secure the crystals, on top of this mesa, will be the site of a new Jedi Temple." He thought it would be a grand idea.

"I'll go with you two" he said to @Elenath and @Alienor Pom Blodau. He would then over to @Scorpio Armegedon. "Why don't you go with Keck and Knight-Bot?" since Scorpio hasn't yet volunteered to go through one of the split paths of the cave. "And a general reminder to all "Be careful everyone, the locals did say this was dangerous."

Left

As @Aranmir and @Ashen Kade would proceed through through the left-most split in the cave, the light of day doesn't reach anymore, they would find traces of kyberite on the wall. To be frank, a lot of the venture on the left-side split of the cave would be uneventful.

But they would come across something that is out of place during the path forward, a weathered, damaged, and deactivated BD Unit. What could that be doing there?

Right

Same as before, the light of the sun won't avail @Keck @Knight-Bot, and @Scorpio Armegedon (if he took Harald's suggestion), they would have to rely on other means for light. Moving forward, the people who opted to go right would come upon a larger, rocky chamber. And the first thing they would see is the carcass of a dead gundark - all bloodied and missing bits of it, with openings in it. Not a pretty sight. Then they would find the killers of it immediately apparent, half a dozen hunter-wasps, of varying sizes buzzing around erratically around the room.

And in just a minute longer, a new baby hunter-wasp is born, as it emerges from the dead gundark.

There would be a path on the otherside of the chamber, the corridor ahead has more of the kyberite. To get through to the other side, they somehow need to deal with the territorial, aggressive, and deadly Hunter-Waps, or somehow bypass them.

Center

Light fades, although it lasted a bit longer than the other to splits but even it wouldn't last much longer. Harald held his lightsaber high to light up the path for @Elenath @Alienor Pom Blodau and then he heard bestial grunts up ahead "You hear that?" Harald didn't like that. The caving up ahead would widen, and very soon they would see glowing four sets glowing-yellow eyes in forward ahead in the darkness.

Now Harald can see only an outline of them, large beasts, heavy set on top, four arms. Gundarks. This would get nasty. After Harald realized, the Gundarks all had the same thing in mind. They would reach underneath them and grab rocks, and then throw them in the direction three Jedi, very powerful throws owed to the strength of the gundarks.

Even though they are Jedi, Harald knows this might be a nasty fight for sure. No wonder the locals were content with handing this cave to the Jedi should they manage to clear it.

Scorpio had sat in silence for a few brief moments tending to his wounds before one of the Knights @Ashen Kade made his approach. They were deep, but not truly life threatening unless infection set in. Scorpio had balled up some of the cloth and pushed it inside the duel wounds before wrapping the remaining cloth around his leg and drew them tight. For right now, it was more painful than anything, and yet, he still gazed up at the Knight with a smile behind his silvered eyes.

"I'm fine. Thank you though." His tone was sincere despite the carried undertone of the pain he was in. "I've had worse."

The reality of his words would be abundantly clear. The portion of cloth he had torn from his Father's Robes revealed scars that were as old as half his life. Mostly burns, but there was two that would stand out more so in his movements. One would clearly be recognized as a lightsaber, clean and circular just below his chest. The other was across his ribs, more jagged and pronounced. Like something attempted to tear through his ribs. There were more, of course, but these were noticeable from the absent of cloth.

"I'll be there in a moment." He concluded after the Knight proposed his second line of introduction. "Just making sure that it's all secure and I don't end up bleeding out."

As gentle as Scorpio's soul seemed to be, his life had been hard. Not only an outcast as a ward of Tatooine's orphanage system, but outcasted by society in general due to his lineage. Only those of the Luka Sene had ever really accepted him, and it was dependent upon which did. Still, he cherished his life, and it's hardships, because of who it had made him. Bandaged up, he joined the group.

He spoke not another word, but acknowledged @Harald av Svendsen as he spoke and slowly followed @Keck and @Knight-Bot forward into the cavern, taking the right path as suggested. Thankfully, for Scorpio, he didn't see light as the others did, nor was he truly capable of seeing through his silvered gaze. Naturally, his other senses were heightened and the Force granted brief glimpses of the world around him as steady as his heartbeat. Hearing the buzzing of hypered wings, he brought up his fist to halt and gave a quiet whistle to alert the other two as he unsheathed his family's blade.

"Trouble ahead." His voice whispered a silent echo amongst the limestone and clay of the caverns interior. "How do you want to proceed?"

Consistent as ever, the mere moment of contact from Alienor's hand to Elenath's stretched into an eternity in the mind of the Jedi Seer. Hazy, quick flashes of memory and visions of the future passed through his mind, yet two stood out:

- Hand outstretched, a violent hound is calmed by the Force. "No," she speaks... -

- A crowd of annfyn, all gathered for mourning -

Elenath blinked, and the visions left him with Alienor being none the wiser. He decided not to speak of what he saw — perhaps that would be a conversation for another day.

And now, a boulder was being hefted at him by a Gundark. In the low light that his lightsaber blade illuminated, Elenath filled his limbs with the force in an attempt to sense the boulder's trajectory and avoid it. Should he be successful, the seer raised his lightsaber in a defensive Niman stance and stood close to Alienor to protect her from further attacks. Extending his free hand, blue-yellow light erupted from his fingertips as he channeled Force Light, hoping that the dazzling brilliance from his palm and the reflections off of the crystals would at least temporarily blind the dark-dwelling Gundarks.

"Harald, NOW!" he prompted, hoping the knight could at least wound or dispatch one of the creatures that beset them.

Enamoured with the environment, Keck wandered blissfully further into the cave, content with the near-darkness gently being dissipated by Knight-bot's illuminated eyes. However, he quickly slowed his approach upon hearing the deep, heavy buzz of many wings in the opening ahead. Eyeing the dead gundark in the middle, Keck's eyes widened as a gloriously genius idea came to him.

Digging into his bags, he grabbed a double-handful of still-dribbling Sandswimmer guts, hucking the sticky mess into a far corner of the room. "Distraction snack!" he exclaimed in a hushed yet excited squeak. Yet another reason why it was a great idea to pack food for later. Keck knew for sure these wasps wouldn't hesitate to eat him and his friends - which was totally understandable, he would do the same to the bugs - but he figured his allies still weren't hungry, so might as well try to sneak by this time.

He grasped his lightsabers while trying to slowly sneak around the bugs furthest away from where he threw the guts. Maybe they wouldn't see the group, and they could slip by unnoticed.

Well, evidently, Knight-Bot's intuition about Keck proved correct as the frog-boy threw, of all things, animal guts into the narrow cavern they were walking in. But the strange behavior that seemed to defy all of Knight-Bot's logic processors perhaps had some thought behind it after all - it seemed like Keck was actually trying to distract the creatures. Knight-Bot, wanting to capitalize on this, quickly sprinted forward after Keck himself, in case the guts maneuver actually worked and they could get through without fighting.

And if not? He had some Form I movesets programmed into him that had knocked Jedi Knights on their ass in training sessions. Against wasps, it should be more than enough.

Alienor followed the two older Jedi down their path, raising her hand to shield herself slightly from the reflected glare of Knight Svendsen's lightsaber. As the crystals spread out and the opening widened, she caught those glowing eyes before they started moving. Before she heard the grunting.

The world turned into chaos as Linny watched the gundarks hurl rocks from their huge hands and strong arms, bombarding the party of Jedi. Powerful claws scraped at rocks, lunging them towards the three of them. Her eyes widened in horror as the rocks arced closer, time seeming to slow in her own head.

Instinctively, Linny threw herself to the sides of the wall, just before the room opened up. She pressed herself besides the crystal growths, hoping they could shield her from the worst of the attack. If she was successful and left relatively unscathed, she would attempt to use the Force, gathering her recently development control of the energy field around them to pulse towards the gundarks, sweeping up any chips of shattered kyberite and rock that lay around them.

Right

The distraction that Keck had thrown had indeed attracted some bugs, the Hunter-Wasps would swarm and buzz over to the where the snacks were thrown, they were curious and then after taking a bite, the alien wasps would partake. in the sandswimmer's guts. @Keck did well to use sandswimmer innards as a distraction. Hunter-Wasps prey on the spider-like alien animals.

However, despite the success, the noise the rather large @Knight-Bot made doing a full sprint alerted some of the wasps of the presence. Three fully-grown wasps would then be buzzing after them. Their movements were erratic as well, not flying in a straight line, despite that they are still very fast and would catch up to the Jedi in no time. Two of them would try to sting the lizard @Keck and the other would sting @Scorpio Armegedon.

Center

@Elenath managed to dodge the bolder thrown and

Thankfully although Force Light usually doesn't blind, the gundarks would be because their eyes having adjusted to the cave along ago and a flash of light was like a flash from a flashbang grenade. It wasn't blinding to Harald though fortunately. The gundarks would be blinded and they would be furious.

"Right" Harald would say, Harald would take his lightsaber and then throw it like a bomerange, using the force to guide the spinning blade and he would it to crave the torsos of two of them. Once two of the beasts fall down, Harald would keep his hands outstretched to recall his lightsaber back to him, the hilt safely landing in his hand.

The sweeping pulse by @Alienor Pom Blodau not only manage to sweep up the broken rock on the ground, but also stagger the two remaining gundarks. After hear the death cries of the two gundarks, the remainer are enrange. They would then abandon throwing rocks and then start charging down the cave to the Jedi, wildly swinging their razor sharp claws, hoping to shred the Jedi.

Up in the path ahead, should they manage to deal with the gundarks, the path forward would curve to the left.

But as the Jedi would go further, the presence of the Force would grow stronger. Feelings of serenity, a feeling of hearing of chimes in a soothing musical fashion.

Sorry for the wait everyone but a post is here.

@LouJoVi so I have just learned that @Scrumppe is away from the site at the moment. If you want to continue the left path with the droid that's fine. or you are welcome to be with the one of the other groups as if you've been with them the whole time.

"Good timing, Alienor, you've staggered them! Let the Force guide yourself to foresee and avoid their claws—" Elenath called out to the Padawan. Standing firm and igniting the second half of his saberstaff, the Jedi Seer would continue to hold a Niman stance and attempt to use his natural aptitude for precognition to determine where the first gundark would strike. Equipped with such knowledge, Elenath would avoid the claws and strike the creature's torso, left open by its exuberance to draw blood.

With the gundarks defeated, the Echani would keep one blade illuminated to help them navigate the rest of the cave system to their destination. The musical chimes and serenity filled his heart and mind, reminding him of the time he built his own first lightsaber.

Initially ecstatic his idea worked, it would seem hunger was not strong enough to overpower the territorial nature of all of the wasps, as some of them charged Keck as they tried to sneak by. The grin disappearing from his face, the amphibian ignited both lightsabers once again, hopping left and right evasively to match the bugs' erratic movement, slowly landing closer and closer to the far wall. He would swipe out at any that got too close in an attempt to ward off the bugs with his sabers' heat - but not hesitating to slice through if any pressed their attack too far.

Much like the little one @Keck, Scorpio would try to imitate and match the Wasps erratic movements in defense, but to no avail, at least on the level of Keck. Scorpio's defense barely withheld the first attack of these wild beasts, its stinger scratching across his ribs as it flew into rang.

Wrapping his arm around the Beast, he drew his blade across the backside of his head and attempted to decapitate the beast in a single stroke. Within moments, Scorpio could feel the numbness of the venom began to spread, and even as he sliced upon the scratch to bleed it out, it continued its spread as it effected muscle and tissue.

As his focused turned toward the remaining, he worried their noise could attract more. "We need to make this quick. It could attract the others." he spoke as quietly as he could, holding his ever numbing side.

His walk down the left path was uneventful. Aranmir found nothing that could be dangerous and he was relieved with it. After dealing with the insects from early, it was nice that there wasn't anything else that was trying to kill him. For him it was a victory, even if the darkness around him grew as he walked deeper through the tunnel.

With his lightsaber activated, Aranmir cast some light in the growing darkness. The walls were glowing due to the presence of kyberite, making the Tiefling consider it as a good omen. With how much of it he had seen so far, the Padawan was sure that it would be a matter of time until he found the crystals themselves.

While he continued walking, the Tiefling found an old BD unit. Aranmir approached carefully, but the droid was damaged and old. It wasn’t going to be activated any time soon. When he was close enough, the Padawan kneeled next to it and moved its head. He wondered how it came here and if there were ways of repairing it.

He always thought that BD units from the end of the Clone Wars were funny droids.

Linny caught flashes of the swishing saber in the distance, hearing the pained screams and final cries of the two gundarks. With two left, Linny could feel the thuds of their feet on the ground as they charged towards the assembled Jedi. With two Knights ahead of her, Linny held her ground and prepared herself, feet moving to a ready stance.

She did as was instructed by Elenath, trying to tap into the eddies and currents of the Force around them, trying to gauge how they'd move towards her. If any charged past the Knights, Linny would use her readiness to sense where their claws would swipe and twist herself out of the way, to either side of the tunnel.

Even as she waited and tried to sense the gundarks through the Force, she could feel the sensation coming from deeper down the tunnel. The tinges and sonorous echos of music. Strangely resonant, feeling the extremeties of her fingers tingle in sympathy with the song. Whatever was down there... it had found her.

Central

When the Gundarks slain, the Jedi (@Vosrik @Charndley @The Good Doctor) would be able advance past them and proceed deeper into the caverns, ever forward, the warm and harmony of the force grows stronger, they would past through a three way section that the left and right paths of the cave would converge. Up forward into the darkness of the caves, there would be a light at the end of the tunnel. Not just metaphorically, but indeed literally.

At the very end they would find it. Herald can hardly believe it himself. The force swelled here as the living crystals basked in it. Upon closer inspect, as Herald stepped forward slowly in wonder. Light shined from the cavern ceiling. Upon getting closer to the crystals. He would positively see they are kyber crystals.

"Everyone, we found the Kyber" Harald said to everyone on the comlink.

This was a long journey, through dangerous fuana, through the scorching heat of Burinjina. But in the end it was well worth it. The next generations of Jedi will have access of these kyber crystals. As per the agreement with the Burin locals, the Jedi have are allowed to freely access this.

Left

When the tiefling (@LouJoVi) touched the droid, is started to power up and activate. It was clearly damaged, but it started to animate. The BD droid would turn to the the tiefling and begin speaking. But unfortunately, it's simple vocabulator was damaged, even it's basic binary was broken and jumpled up. But the BD unit then started walking down the path. There would be a split lane to the right but the droid would go forward.

The droid would then eventually stop further in, the droid would stop at an ancient looking doorway that has ancient runes on it. And next to the door is a skeletal alien humanoid figure wearing frayed clothing and a old model of datapad that has long ran out of power.

The door is sealed. Upon further inspection, the door is not just rock solid, it's sealed by the force. If there is any getting past it, it would be in the future, but not today.

Right

Scoprio would manage to take down one of the Hunter-Wasps. And Keck, being defensive, manage to slice through the remaining one with cautious, skillful swordplay while managing to evade the hunter-wasps erratic movements and stinger.

Evenutually with the two pursuers downed, Keck, Scorpio, and Knight Bot would be able to continue down the path, escaping the territory of the Hunter-Wasps before the rest decide to get revenge.

And every soon, they too will join Herald, Elenath, and Alienor at the despoit of kyber crystals.

Sorry about the wait for the DM post. Life has been busy for me and for some of us. But going to end it here as I don't think there is interest in continuing and I don't have energy for it either. But everyone's efforts here are not in-vain, as the Jedi have found themselves a new crystal caves.

Thanks for the thread everyone, it was fun even if it died at the end.
