While our own perceptions of 14,000 years ago are fairly limited, mainly confined to what tool cultures people were in and what they were hunting or gathering, I could see as Star Wars universe knowing a bit more about their past. Unlike real life where writing hadn't been invented 14,000 years ago and languages have been rapidly changing since then, basic has been in use for a while nearly unchanged and presumably, there had been some method of digital data storage which should enable people to read the diaries of people 14,000 years ago. So while they certainly wouldn't be common knowledge, our characters this time should be discoverable by those in the next timeline.
Even though that is pretty much part of canon, the entire concept you have proposed there (stagnating language and society for 14,000 years) is in itself ludicrous.

Maybe this is when Ussej Padric Bac and Darth Invidius become friends, go back in time, and replace the midi-chlorians with little Bacs and Sins.

Would there be any problem with saying a character believed they were distantly related to a famous figure, but not have any real proof/certainty of that fact?

My idea is I am going to be reimagining my Feeorin, Gar, and say something along the lines of 'he always believed he was distantly related to the famous pirate Nym' but have the connection be more in the character's head than anywhere else. Basically a delusion of grandeur, so to speak.

Gonna make a Jedi who's family tree ties into Anakin Skywalker's. Cause that hasn't been done before.

Canon characters (who is nym?) probably not. But if you had lets say a character in this timeline (or someone elses character. mind you ask them first) you could probably say that they were related to them.

an admin might be able to help out with canon. I think not because skywalkers and solo's and such arent allowed

I believe that isnt allowed
rules]
C.1. Please note that when making your character, he needs to be in the correct timeline. Our current time line is the year 13,000 BBY. There should be no mention of Darth Revan, Darth Bane, Luke Skywalker, Jacen Solo, Darth Krayt or anyone else after this time period anywhere.
C.2. Please also note that when creating your character’s name, canon names are strongly discouraged. There should be no one named Qel-Droma, Organa, Solo, Katarn or anything else from canon. The galaxy is far too big for the ancestors or descendants of major characters to be running around fighting the bad guys at the same time.

I love nothing more than slipping little fragments of our history into things. even in this timeline there were hints, and small things that played as part of a greater legacy surrounding family lore that has had a major impact in shaping SWRP.

So it's a sure thing that there will be mention, or more hints coming in again.

I'm also going to be bringing back the last of the Baatch line carried on by Adena Qel-Droma ( aka Empress Viea, aka Amara Baatch) as it passed through several different established families.

in " this" timeline the only lore of that family line came to pass in the from the Bac branch, and the Grandmaster Talzea, and a few passages here and there about certain historical notes in passing.

I'm looking to bring all those " at least on my end of the family" to a full closure.

I will be a doing a similar thing for the Cange family tree line. Just passages, quotes, achievements from past family members.

Noble Chaotic Nonomyth, Dreaded Monomyth, And expert healing Nono families will be mentioned played out in the next timeline. Maybe even Blood's and Nofo's I will bring forth.

You should make a similar character to Link Nono in the next timeline.

I will, expect that one will not be a Coward, that runs away. But a drunken Bard.

Oh god Zen please don't bring all of your characters' families into the next timelines.

I've had enough Nono for a lifetime. :P

It was only one Nono. Nonomyth came in packages.

Don't listen to him. I'd be disappointed if you didn't make a reincarnation of the Jedi Order's greatest healer, Link Nono, in the next timeline.

Then the reincarnation will die horribly as well. :CStern

A very bad joke then.

Or your just a bit slow on the uptake...

Anyway, I may reference quotes from past characters if I keep any families alive, but that's it really. It'd be "One of my ancestors had a saying that was passed down..." and be a slightly altered version of the quote. Because it'd be done with 14,000 years of the telephone game.
